The Canucks played Chicago tonight at 7:30, and won 3-0. They even got an empty-netter! It was the Sedin jersey retirement game! The ceremony was awesome - John Shorthouse, Dave Nonis, Markus Naslund, Trevor Linden, Mike Gillis, Marc Crawford, Alex Burrows, Jannik Hansen, and so many others! The twins definitely sent their well-wishes to Jay Bouwmeester, who collapsed on the bench during last night's St. Louis-Anaheim game because of a cardiac issue! YAY FOR HENRIK SEDIN AND DANIEL SEDIN!

I bought bulk pads x2 / on-sale Nescafe coffee in a tall canister / Webber Naturals Vitamin D3 gummies x2 (a bottle of 90 is CHEAPER than a half-price Jamison bottle of 60 at Shoppers Drug Mart?! -- but chewables have 180 for the same price...) / a Ragusa Noir chocolate bar / Niederegger Lubeck orange and classic marzipan bars x2 for National Marzipan Day from London Drugs. Also got on-sale Lipton Cup-A-Soup x9 (Spring Vegetable / Chicken Noodle / Chicken Noodle Supreme), NEW on-sale Lindt Creations dark 34% hazelnut and dark 31% almond chocolate bars, NEW Central Roast Crave mocha spice espresso beans, and an After Eight chocolate bar before getting home at 12:25 on a 407. The Canucks played Minnesota today at 1, and won 4-1.

Hayley posted a "wings meetup" in the Sober Server... WITH NO TIME, DATE, OR PLACE! Does she have an aversion to it, or is it because she's a millennial?! Nate thinks I seem bitter, but that's not the case. Even Term affirmed that one! I'm not going to go to a hangout without a time, date, or location! I need to plan my fucking day, not spend at least 90 minutes on transit and then another 90 minutes eating and visiting! (DEFINITELY not if it's in Burnaby!) Even my email about 12 Kings included a location, date, and an event that the date could be tied to, so people can look up the basketball ceremony / game as needed! Why are people so stupid?! After I had COFFEE TIME, Barry picked me up at 11:50 and we went banking and to Price Smart. I bought a NEW on-sale Caramilk chocolate bar and a half, NEW Triscuit dill / sea salt / olive oil crackers, NEW Triscuit Canada balsamic and basil crackers, NEW basil and garlic Triscuits crackers, Ottogi Jin Ramen in both spicy and mild flavors, NEW Western Family chicken and wild / brown rice soup, NEW Western Family chicken and rotini soup, NEW Western Family soy sauce x2 (regular and 50% less sodium), NEW DASANI water (after the soy sauce attacked me), a NEW HERSHEY'S Gold chocolate bar (peanuts and pretzels), Western Family 8-vegetable lasagna with multigrain pasta (carrots / green and red Bell peppers / spinach / zucchini / cauliflower / broccoli / black olives), on-sale Olympic Dairy organic plain yogurt.

After that, I paid my Shaw bill online at home.

Later, I tried to get Hester to give me some laundry tokens (March 26, 2019). She said that they were going out right now, but I could have some if I came by immediately. So I did, but she was STILL not impressed because I should have taken the "nearest" stairs so she wouldn't have to wait three minutes, which is apparently an inconvenience. Well, maybe she should work on the building's elevator which has been out of service for five weeks, and replacing the dryer which has been out of commission for three months! Then when I left her door, she said that I should take the "nearest" stairs - no, because I'd still have to walk down a long hallway regardless! I told her NO! I'm going to do what works best for me, and it's just TOO BAD if my disability and walking speed causes her to wait a few more minutes to leave the building since they haven't invented teleportation for real yet! The Canucks played the Senators again tonight at 7 in Preseason Game #7 (the penultimate!), and lost 6-2.

Before Paulo dropped by to share the Gizella mango cheesecake, I took a shower and threw some stuff away in the old Nester's Market reusable bag. He showed up at 4; of course I didn't mind if he rested on the couch while talking about Darryl, Nate, Steve's new car, Jeff inviting him out for wings special at 12 Kings tonight (and Jeremy shit-talking him for that), V4F not being an exclusive club, reasonable "no disruptions" rules for meetups, his coming back to servers eventually (he can take all the time he needs), HURTS not being a great first word to use in public for the baby (what will people think?!), what people said about him, and seeing people in Oregon like his cousin. It was good to see him again - he left at 5, which is pretty reasonable. HE TOOK THE MANGO CHEESECAKE WITH HIM?! I immediately took the Dr. Oetker strawberry cheesecake out to thaw in the meantime - BACKUP CHEESECAKE!

I went out at 6:50 on a 401 to Price Smart so I could return the extra pasta and laundry detergent. The customer service girl Hannah was pretty slow because she lost her override privileges. Then I got NEW Dr. Oetker Canada Salted Caramel / Chocolate cheesecakes (NOT at Safeway?! NICE!), NEW on-sale Miss Vickie's Signatures chips (Citrus and Black Peppercorn / Apple Cider Vinaigrette and Shallots), NIVEA Pearly Shines lip balm, (on-sale) Western Family potato and cheddar cheese perogies / melatonin / bean and bacon soup / key lime Greek yogurt / blueberry-pomegranate yogurt / large flocklined rubber gloves / no salt added pieces and stems mushrooms / sliced mushrooms, and UNOPENABLE Winter Creek oysters before returning home at 7:40 on a 407. Slightly later, I had the now-thawed strawberry cheesecake - IT WAS GOOD!

After SHOWER TIME and COFFEE TIME, I went out to Kwong Chow at 4:50 because I had to go to a Father's Day dinner. I was in time for the 401, at least. Ended up JUST missing a couple of 25 buses at King Edward, but whatever. I was prepared to walk from 25th to 15th because of Car-Free Day, and there were way too many people walking slowly in front of me. There was even someone at the station who stopped RIGHT IN FRONT of me to check her map! Geez!

When I finally got to the restaurant after weaving my way through the crowd of people, Mom said that she'd called me six times. Come on - what's so important that she had to do that?! We couldn't even get a table because Jon and his crew weren't there yet, which is very unusual for Kwong Chow. Since when did they turn into a white place?! Mom just commandeered an empty table because it looked big enough and clean. Dad told her to quit being so impatient, of course. Talked to Ayler, Hiero, Harmony, Beckett, and Jon about Harmony wanting me to help out with the kids in the summer (it IS true!), school ending soon on the 19th, Hiero's origami book, the Oratorio Society concert last week and seeing Auntie Catherine there, Tsim Chai, Holly and Peter buying a house, Myles and Brittney also buying a house, screen time (I know what to do even if I don't follow it...), Alliance and SERVANTS work, ferries, and the Massey Tunnel.

We also discussed Saltspring Island, going to Seattle soon, Eric Ho and the 12 Kings Pub hangout for the Toronto Raptors and Golden State Warriors, Eric Ho taking sports losses pretty personally, what takeout was, Mom trying to tell us again about Maria Tam the missionary (we ALL heard about that last week...), and Mom attempting to give Jon $50 to pay for the meal. Nope, that definitely was not happening! Then we walked to Jon's place where Mom and Dad had parked, and gave Jon some stuff. Hiero enthusiastically showed me his origami book and his store of old printer paper to make new creations - he showed me a boat and then I had to leave, so I said he could show me more stuff next time. Then Mom and Dad noticed someone they knew, so we had to spend at least ten minutes talking to them. Turned out to be Jon's neighbors from Prince George and their baby - one of them is named Jill. So after that delay, I finally got home at 9:30 on a 407. Apparently, my parents didn't automatically plan on driving me home - okay, then.

Mom picked me up at 5 so we could go to Tsim Chai for dinner before the VOS (Vancouver Oratorio Society) choir concert that Dad was doing at Fraserview. BEEF TENDON NOODLES! She had discovered the pocket dial from my phone to Pothead Mike and complained that it had cost her one extra dollar, then wanted to use MY phone to call Steph. She ended up using her own phone, HA HA! I had to explain the concept of a pocket dial to her... and of course vent to Steph while Mom was in my bathroom, ha ha ha. Mom even complained that I didn't have Jon and Steph in my phone or WhatsApp contacts - I don't use WhatsApp at all, but I could for video calls at some point, I guess.

Later, Mom said that "my brother's wife's sister" (just say "Auntie Kwai") is going to be living with them for a couple of months since she lost her low-cost housing in the move from BC to Ontario, and she can't get used to life over there. She also told me redundant stuff about Maria Tam who just died from lung cancer, some missionary friend Winnie who will be staying with them (from July 12) for a week or so after they get back from Toronto on July 4, and how Harmony supposedly wants me to help with the kids when they're away from June 18 for the Oratorio Society concerts with some Hong Kong chorus. Well, I'll wait till Harmony actually says something to me about it first before I commit.

The conductor of the Oratorio Society is named Kemuel, and the associate conductor is named Neville?! One of the youth singers is named Jermyn Wong?! The overall concert was all right, I suppose. Lots of Psalms, lots of music - I saw Auntie Catherine around the washroom when I went. When I looked at the program, I saw Libby's name, so I had to tell Vania about it on Facebook. Mom suspiciously wondered why I was online, and asked if my mobile data was off - yes, of course. I did not help her get online during a lull or the intermission, ha ha ha. I got home at 10:15 or so, which is fine.

Eric M. unexpectedly called me at 2:50 to say that Eric Ho and a few of the guys were going to watch the Toronto Raptors play the Golden State Warriors in an NBA playoff game (Game 2) at 12 Kings, and wondered if I'd like to go. I said sure, why not. (much better freedom without Jimmy around!) He said he'd pick me up around 4:30 or so, and did. While I was waiting, I discovered that he'd texted me about the hangout at noon. Oops! At least we managed to work it out in the end!

Then Eric managed to drop me off in front of the pub after using his phone to navigate his way to 12 Kings. I tried texting Chinese Eric to see where he was, but got no answer. Jeremy came in a few minutes later and we managed to find Chinese Eric and Randal while white Eric was parking. After saying hi, I was still not impressed, so told him to answer his fucking texts, in those words. He said that he'd been talking to Randal, but it's TIME-SENSITIVE! "WHERE ARE YOU?" should be answered IMMEDIATELY! UGH! Yes, I'm being a hypocrite about this. Oh well. Randal gave me a LOOK, but whatever. At least we can be casual acquaintances now, which is okay by me. Eric implied that he wasn't going to invite me, but since Christon was dragging Alice along, he thought of me. Gee, thanks!

We talked about Yellow Dog Play Dead IPA, sharing a platter of nachos / olives / jalapenos / cheese eventually (we paid Chinese Eric back $4.50 each), Obama being in the building for the basketball game, my Reddit mobile being VERY SLOW and not loading (but it eventually did a while later), instant noodles, spicy noodles not good for the stomach, Christon and Alice's fried food, Eric's club sandwich, current events, Jon organizing this but not making it because of teaching, and Nathan being back in town till Christon's wedding, the CFL and BC Lions games / tickets, Jeremy's brother Mark doing well in Seattle, and keeping in touch with people online. When I noticed that Randal was reading The New Evil: Understanding the Emergence of Modern Violent Crime (Michael H. Stone, Gary Brucato, Ann W. Burgess), I had to show him MY current reading material: The Most Evil Women in History (Shelley Klein) - HAHAHA! Randal mentioned that he'd thought of me while picking his book up at the library, and Jeremy laughed at the coincidence, because great minds think alike!

Chinese Eric wasn't impressed that the Raptors lost 109-104, but nobody else in the pub to watch the game was, either. He also owes me an extra 50 cents because he didn't carry cash or expect me to have the London Drugs receipt for the Indomie Mi Goreng Chitato chips. We finally left about an hour after the game, at 8:30. Those stairs at the pub are not disability-friendly since they have no handrail, forcing me to jump the last step, LIKE I DID LAST TIME ON MARCH 12! It wasn't too far to the car, which is fine. Eric got a text message while he was driving into Richmond, which he hoped wasn't Chinese Eric texting him that he was lost on the way to his own car. He said he could give me a ride to Christon's wedding (which is on the same day as Mike Kwan's), but that I'd have to remind him closer to the date since it's so far away now. I totally understand!

I went out at 3:10 on a 407 (which luckily picked me up at the sidewalk) for shopping purposes. Decided to go to the Bay to see if they had any halfway affordable camisoles: I lucked into a half-price weekend sale on Core Life camisoles (which I bet Jimmy would like to wear), and so I bought four of them. Some of them had a built-in shelf bra, which I later found out made things more difficult to wear. Ugh!

Went to London Drugs to get Indomie Mi Goreng Chitato chips x5 for Chinese Eric, Speed Stick Glacier deodorant, limited-edition Cheetos Leaves snacks for Canada Day, NEW on-sale Hardbite Pepper Jack chips, an on-sale Tasty Bite pack (Organic Ancient Grains), and Purell hand sanitizer x3. I got home at 4:35 on a 407, which is good. Then I went to London Drugs again at 7 on a 401 to get on-sale Vaseline lotion (big green Aloe Vera / small yellow Dry Skin Repair), and more on-sale Tasty Bite packs x10. (Basmati White Rice x6 / Thai Vegetable Curry / Thai Vegetable Peanut / Coconut Vegetables / Vindaloo) Got home at 7:40 and found out that I don't actually like Kettle Honey Dijon chips AND that my Becel avocado oil margarine expires tomorrow. Guess I'll be going out again sometime to get a tub!

Brian picked me up at about 9 last night from the hospital's main entrance, but I had to take a gigantic huge detour because the construction had blocked off the sidewalks right by my place AGAIN! (going through the parking lot and then find the sidewalk by the pharmacy and then cross THREE crosswalks to get to the hospital) He had joked that it would be like Little Iraq trying to get to my place, and this was about right. The chill get-together was for Paulo's 27th birthday, so of course I was going to come out and meet him. Things were fine until we tried finding Fremlin, but I eventually called Holly (who doesn't have a buzzer system or an elevator in her apartment building?!) when Brian eventually found it. She said that she was going to throw her keys down to us, probably because she was tired of going up and down the stairs for everyone else!

When Brian finally figured out the front door lock (the one in my building is recalcitrant as well), we went upstairs to Holly's suite. We met Paulo, and said hi to Holly and Darryl. Talked about bartending, gin and tonic, red wine, beers, smoking (always someone's choice), travel (Jordan and Egypt and Australia), the leftover pizza with pepperoni and sausage, online people in the other Discord server, Gastown, awful dates, hyphenated names, feminism, the 407, friends being in abusive relationships, weird names like Jesus Condom, the closed sidewalks around my place, (looking for) work, Long Island Iced Teas, (video) interviews, San Francisco, Montreal, fudge Oreos, and my Korean BBQ Kettle chips. Of course I let Holly keep them! Turns out that Paulo lives two minutes from me, which is always good just in case. I let Brian drop me off at Birchwood instead of Dogwood, but I was still with it enough to figure out where I was since things looked different. Got in at midnight, which is fine. Good times with FREEDOM!

I went out again at 5 on a 407 to Shoppers Drug Mart. I called Dr. Wise's office at 11:15 because I'd run out of the Prolensa and Simbrinza eyedrops, and I'm starting to really feel a difference. I had to rest today because my eyes felt really weird like they did right after surgery. Luckily, I could pick them up this afternoon (being a Friday) before they closed at 4. I got there at 2:10 or so, and even got them to open ALL the ridiculously tiny eyedrops bottles x4 for me! PHEW!

On my way home, I just missed a Brighouse train from Yaletown-Roundhouse (where I FINALLY found the elevator to bypass the stairs), so I took a Waterfront train to stay on there so I could go to Broadway Station. I went to No Frills where I was confused by the self-checkout machine, which is nothing new. At least I got help! Bought three pounds of Parkay margarine (which I haven't bought since April 25, 2018?!) and President's Choice Kettle-Cooked Jalapeno chips. I stopped by the pharmacy next door after getting off a 401 at 3:40, and also refilled my birth control pills prescription. Everything is done - YAY!

Then Eric Ho FINALLY emailed me back to say that he's glad my eye surgery and recovery are going well, and we can get together around February 26 or a little later. Does he not know what an expiry date or deadline for the Boston Pizza Online offer is?! I want my free Bandera Pizza Bread, dammit! I'll just splurge and order delivery tonight since I somehow have more extra money in my bank account... I don't trust him to not come over before the offer expires. I eventually settled on a medium BBQ chicken pizza (which I haven't had since September 2016), a medium Meateor pizza for 50% off (which I haven't had since the last time I had pizza in August 2018 for Chinese Eric's birthday), and my free Bandera Pizza Bread with dips and cheese. There goes $57!

SO MUCH ON-SALE BLACK PEPPER SALMON JERKY FOR ME AND JIMMY AND JULIE, OH MY! I called Barry at 8:35 AM to tell him about the mouse on the glue trap which I discovered last night. The computer restarted at 6 AM! I called Barry at 9:40 this morning to remind him about going to Rona for a Victor Pest Chaser Ultrasonic Rodent Repeller, which cost $33. I went to the pharmacy next door at 1:50 to refill my prescription early; yes, even Adam commented on it!

I left at 5:55 to get two 3-subject Hilroy notebooks in green and light blue (for home use and road use) from London Drugs, returning home at 6:40 on a late 407. CHOCOLATE AND BATHROOM REPLACEMENTS GALORE AGAIN, and today's date is a palindrome: 8/1/18! Yesterday, Frances C. emailed me to say that she couldn't make it to Felico's because of work, which is fine. I went out at 12 on a 401 so I could buy Campbell's Chunky Soup (Jerk Chicken with Vegetables / Butter Chicken with Vegetables), NESCAFÉ instant coffee (December 16, 2017), a NEW on-sale limited edition Oh Henry! Canada / Oh Henry 4:25 Pop-Up candy bar, barkTHINS snacking dark chocolate with pumpkin seeds for Thanksgiving dinner, NEW limited edition Doritos Late Night Fully-Loaded Nacho chips, and HALLS assorted mint cough drops. I went out at 12:20 on a 414 to do some shopping for on-sale Halloween candy and Advent calendars. COFFEE TIME while I'm still figuring out why Jimmy blocked me instead of just talking to me about what I did...... I should have posed it as a hypothetical a while ago!

After MORE COFFEE TIME, I left just before 4:30 to make it to Wo's: A family dinner for Dad's 69th birthday! Of course I was the first one there! (and I saw Mr. Creep on the bus AGAIN...) Harmony set a new record in convincing the Wo's owner to turn off the TV, which was tuned to the Cartoon Network: SEVEN MINUTES! We talked about strata meetings, moving on Thursday, Burnaby, the lards' car leaking oil, Uncle William, plans for this week, the farmer's market, snacks, dessert, finding my Fit-Overs (which I just found within two minutes of looking for them), Beckett sleeping, Ayler and Hiero asking about candy and the time, me being drunk / red-faced / snorty / giggly on the beer which Jon bought, and Quality Street chocolates. I got home at 8 on a 407, no thanks to just missing the previous 407 at Brighouse! Mom thought I needed to be told to look both ways before crossing the street at Marine Drive Station - I wasn't THAT drunk! Jon wants me to come over on Tuesday for dinner help - after Rachel, for sure.

Dinner: Steamed chicken, sweet and sour pork, green beans and ground beef, cod fish, tofu cakes, corn soup, lamb, Bring-Your-Own-Beer (Andina Guava Saison 6.5%), rice, and tea!

When I got up today at 7:15 AM, I found that my computer wouldn't go off Hibernate Mode for some reason - I even did a hard reboot of the thing! Then I thought it was possibly the monitor going screwy AGAIN like it did in late April. I went back to bed to rest some more while thinking of the worst-case possibilities in my head (NEW MONITOR EXPENSE?!) and waiting for a decent time to leave a voicemail with White Eric. I did that at 8:30 AM (saying that I needed him to work his magic with my computer monitor again) after I noticed that the light on the monitor was still blue and blinking. He called me back at 9:05 and said that he could come over tonight after work, but I knew he wouldn't be able to make it before 6:45 (which is when I'd have had to leave to meet Chrystal), so tomorrow night is THE TIME OF HOPE! I also found my red chili pants from Sears!

I drafted my August fact statuses on index cards, had COFFEE TIME, and called FYI Doctors to get a final price on the new glasses, even if they had to call the Ministry to find out if I was covered or not. THE PRICE IS $150! Less than the $175 I thought, but still... I left in the hot weather at 2:30 for Richmond Centre, just barely managing to get the 401, and going to KFC in the food court since it's National Fried Chicken Day today. I let the cashier upsell me to two pieces of fried chicken (a thigh and drumstick) instead of one: $2.95 vs. $5.64? Then I went to the library on a crowded 410; I updated CANUCK NATION, Steph, Julie M., Jimmy, Andrew M., and HS's Discord / wondered why Debbie S. would add me on another Facebook account / tagged some statuses that needed it. I swear the Facebook status jail thing is based on IP address! Now I'm leaving to pee and then meet Chrystal for dinner. I hope I don't miss the C94! I also did NOT delete Mom and Dad's old library card number and PIN from my Important Stuff Entry, which is good - I wrote it down in my notebook, and will duplicate it later at home! Good thing they didn't change the PIN! I should have remembered it earlier!

It's probably better than moisturizer for my lips, which I tried at the store! Then we went to both banks. Facebook also thinks I had suspicious activity on my account, so forced me to change my password AGAIN just now. Newsflash: ALL the status updates, LIKED pages, and comments were MINE! At least I remembered my banking access code properly so I could pay my Shaw and hydro bills here at the library!

I had to get up at 8 AM and have COFFEE TIME in preparation for my eye exam at 10 AM, but the directions given to me by FYI Doctors were pretty vague. As long as I was up that early, I called Andrew to get a status update, the summary of which was that he could get my machine back to me by either late tonight or early tomorrow, depending on how Microsoft treated him on the phone. At least the machine accepted my Windows 7 key!

Then I found Dr. Kirker's office IN the Vancity bank building: the directions given by FYI Doctors were very vague. After another eye exam, I was referred to Dr. Weiss for cataract surgery - YIKES! Since I needed a treat, I paid $20.65 cash for 1000 Mead index cards and Big Turk mini Turkish Delights in a bag at London Drugs. While I was there, I mailed off birthday cards and more stickers for Fraser to Lisa and Henry. After I get home from Brighouse Library, I will definitely have enough time to call Chrystal to make dinner plans for next week or so. My eyes are finally getting back to normal now, too! I gotta get out of here before school kids start playing ROBLOX like they did yesterday: real-life Luna! NO!

After leaving the library yesterday (Sunday), I took the 410 to Staples to buy three boxes of Z-Grip pens, which now look different and have "Advanced Ink Technology." I think the comfy rubber grip is worth it for writing for nine hours in a row, and outweighs the risk of cutting myself on the packaging, which I just discovered that I can cut open! DUH. It's also cheaper by $3 a box!

At home, I gave my neighbor a show yesterday when she and I went to the front door at the same time! My pants were falling down, and I couldn't get them up in time! Then I couldn't salvage them later, anyway! I called Andrew back at 5:10 because he'd called me earlier. Andrew said that download speeds and the power supply had been giving him trouble, so he had to go out and buy a new $50 power supply, but that had been included in our deal, as well as the $35 each he'd have charged me for removing two viruses from my hard drive. I almost laughed at that, but he was being totally serious, with good reason! As agreed, I called him back at 8:15 after I'd finished the pizza leftovers, and he said that he didn't think he could finish it tonight if he had to be in bed by midnight for work today. He also doesn't want to bother people past 10 most of the time, but I remember the one time he'd come by at midnight or so. That had been in the summer, however. He'll work on it when he gets home today from work and then call me in the evening. That sounds reasonable to me! I might buy some index cards today since the price per 100 is slightly more reasonable at London Drugs than Staples, and might call Chrystal tomorrow.

White Eric gave me and the Salsitas chips a ride to Jeremy's at 4:45 so we could hang out and watch the Washington Capitals play the Vegas Golden Knights in Playoffs Hockey Game #3, Final Round. (the Knights lost 3-1) Christon couldn't make it, but we chilled with Chinese Eric, Jeremy, and Randal instead. We discussed Old Dutch Ripple chips, my Salsitas, Mexican Chili Old Dutch chips, payment for the Pesto Chicken / Meat Lovers pizzas from Ignite Pizza, OCEAN'S ELEVEN, Reddit, ads / commercials, the next hangout (for the sake of my sanity and having to hear Chinese Eric say "you know?" every few words, I hope it's way later!), the baby's name, selling air in OLAY, contactless payment, and Amazon locks. Got home at 10 and just chilled.

I called Chrystal at work to confirm our plans for tomorrow, and we're on! I also left a message with Chinese Eric in case he wants to come over to watch tonight's game: the last home game ever for the Sedin twins!

Chinese Eric finally emailed me back about a limited time for a Canucks hockey hangout - PHEW! I left at 4:30 in the rainy weather for Harmony's family birthday party at So Hyang Restaurant at Fraser and 47th after COFFEE TIME. We had beef bulgogi, pork bone soup, Korean noodles, deep-fried dumplings, rice, tea, kimchi, potatoes, and various other sides. Ayler and Hiero told me about the trams, cable cars, bridges, and other things in San Francisco; apparently, they were in Richmond yesterday for dinner at a place on Westminster, too. Later, Ayler wanted to feel my belly to see if I had a baby inside me, and asked Harmony how old my "baby" was; Jon says that this was unprompted. Yeah sure, yaz ugfart! Mom wants to have a turkey dinner on Thursday night, so Eric had better get back to me soon... I got home at 7:15 on a 407. Hell, I got leftovers!

After COFFEE TIME at 3, I left for Jon's at 4:25 (later than usual - still enough light outside!) to make it on time at 5. Even though I knew I'd be there in time for dinner, I still bought a BBQ pork bun at Kam Do Bakery. Once I knocked on the window, Randal let me in without knowing who I was, and Ayler said that Uncle Randal had beat me to the house. That's fine; I don't think either of us cares about that. We talked about our weeks, his dad, the flu (the kids thought it was the most hilarious thing ever that they gave it to me...), red rice, Greek spinach with olive oil, pomelo salad, Harmony not eating chicken feet, my Turtles chocolates, Ayler telling me a big fat lie ("Mommy doesn't eat chocolate!"), my eating Hiero's carrots, not getting off at Brighouse station (but what if I want to go there?), kicking a car in revenge for it running you over, toy trains, Ayler not having school today, Mom and Dad moving to Burnaby, selling liquor at grocery stores (and those restrictions!), Chinese New Year coinciding with Steph's birthday this year, San Francisco, and Langara having lots of lights to somewhat help me even if it was completely dark outside when I left five minutes after Randal. Got home at 8:05 on a 407, which is definitely the usual time. Helps to rest and relax afterwards, for sure!

HAPPY NEW YEAR AND 2018, EVERYONE!

I got a baby girl card for Jason and Vanessa ("KEEP CALM AND CARRY BABY WIPES"), NEW Shasha organic ginger snaps for Vanessa (no sugar?!), 200g of on-sale Ferrero Rocher100 store brand bandages, a NEW Carnation variety pack of hot chocolate (TURTLES Canada / Coffee Crisp / After Eight), and NEW Lipton Chicken Noodle Supreme soup from London Drugs, which has just started charging for plastic bags. I'd just missed the bus, so I walked there instead - it was easier than waiting 20 minutes, I guess. The clerk was surprised that they'd just started charging now since everyone else had been doing it years before, AND London Drugs is about being green. Oh well, good thing I carry around reusable bags with me anyway, most of the time. Plus, Jimmy actually started a FB conversation yesterday, which was also a surprise, but at least it was good to actually catch up with him now that I'm not (as?) mad at him anymore! Got home at 2:40, which is fine for going out at 1:30.

I did some minor Boxing Day shopping today, going out to London Drugs on a 401 at 4:30. It went pretty well (he seemed surprised that I was flossing), but I did hear they were moving next year sometime to Fraser and 19th. Not so convenient anymore, but maybe I'll find new haunts over there. Of course we caught up briefly and wished each other a great Christmas / New Year! I went to the post office at Oakridge afterwards - right upstairs by the Photo Express near the elevators - to mail Karla's card, then went to Shoppers since I had time before the next 407. I got some Sour Cream and Bacon Ruffles chips with one of my coupons, plus some brand-new on-sale De Cecco and Catelli pasta: fusilli, rotini, and penne rigate x2 in much more reasonably-sized boxes. I got home at 5:20 and threw away the old pasta to make room for the new.

I went shopping at 3:55 today after COFFEE TIME: I was planning to get a sandwich, discount Halloween chocolate, and some sensitive toothpaste. Instead, I got this stuff at Shoppers Drug Mart: nut-free Cadbury Festive Friends cookies for Fraser, a discounted Halloween 24-pack of Wunderbar / Caramilk / Mr. Big / Crispy Crunch mini chocolate bars from Cadbury, an egg salad sandwich from Gourmet and Go, on-sale Lay's chips x2 (BLT and ketchup), a Gourmet and Go falafel wrap, on-sale Lipton Cup-A-Soup x4 (tomato soup with croutons), and on-sale Arm and Hammer sensitive toothpaste. While I was there, I went to the post office to buy a bubble-wrap envelope (NO TRACKING NUMBER OR BOX!) and then mail Lena's Lindt gingerbread chocolate truffles and bonus Hanukkah card to Colorado. Then I finally got home at 5 on a 407 - not bad!

This is the complete bestiary for FINAL FANTASY 5 SPOOF, and all screenshots are from my own playthrough. I'd like to say that this GameFAQs bestiary document helped me a lot; thank you! (as did this one, for more precise directions in certain places) Also, this walkthrough helped me a lot, too! Actually, I was tired of suffering through emulator slowness and game glitches x8, so input a code for a 100% complete Bestiary. These maps will help, since the world map DOESN'T FUCKING WORK IN THIS GAME!

Fire-Powered Ship puzzle directions.

Notes to self: Activate the All Characters Have All Abilities code, and then TAKE IT OFF, or else the game will get incredibly frustratingly SLOW. Also, take all codes off before going to the Big Bridge, or attempting to find the Phantom Village! VISHNU VEST EQUIPMENT! Speaking of equipment, EQUIP KRILE WHEN SHE JOINS THE PARTY AFTER GALUF'S DEATH! As far as codes go, the "have 99 of all items" code makes the game freeze and have sound issues!

After much frustration over three hours, I managed to defeat Omega by using the power of Mirage Vests (IMAGE STATUS) / Coral Rings (fire protection), and a pre-emptive strike! I used it to power up my blades with Thundaga Spellblade, then used Rapid-Fire on Faris... I think it was a fluke!

Also, to reset the breath timer in the sunken tower of Walse, climb up the fourth floor vine to get to that chest! I finally actually defeated Famed Mimic Gogo at the bottom of the sunken Tower of Walse by using the Dragoon / Dual-Wield x4 strategy! It was pretty tricky since I wasn't sure that all my characters would survive at least five Meteor attacks, but two of them did! Got garbled text as part of the bugged fight, too... "Dragged into another dimension! Odin: All right, that's far enough! Turning to stone... Can't escape! Countdown to Pestilence... 4 KO'd! Countdown to Eruption... 5 KO'd! Level halved! KO'd!":D

To get the Drakenvale Golem in the Bestiary, defeat the dragons first and THEN defend until he thanks you!

After COFFEE TIME, Tryanna from Pathways picked me up at 12:30 today so we could do some food shopping, but I'm fairly sure I lost my voice at some point overnight. We talked about Croatia, her smoking, Pho, tripe, bubble tea, and more. I got bananas, two birthday cards for Jeremy (beer!) and Christon, on-sale Paldo spicy cheese noodles, Dove lemon shampoo, Dove lemon conditioner, Dove hydration conditioner to go with the GLISS shampoo, on-sale store brand Western Family echinacea, Vedan spicy mushroom and cuttlefish noodles, Nissin sesame oil noodles, on-sale Paldo garlic Namja Ramen, on-sale October Fifth Bakery lotus red bean mooncake.

Also got on-sale Chunky Soup (Beef / Vegetable Beef / Chicken Noodle Soup x2 / Clam Chowder), on-sale original Laksa La Mian noodles, NEW limited-edition Doritos Sonic Sour Cream chips, on-sale store brand Western Family white vinegar, Olivina margarine with olive oil, three cans of Fat Choy straw mushrooms, an on-sale Hungry Man microwaveable turkey dinner / a Swanson's turkey pot pie for Thanksgiving weekend, an on-sale Pepsi bottle for attempted toilet cleaning purposes, on-sale Earth's Own almond milk, and on-sale Lipton tomato garden vegetable soup. I went out at 1:10 to London Drugs so I could mail a card and stickers to Fraser EARLY for his second birthday, and bought a small Jersey Milk chocolate bar / Ragusa Noir dark chocolate bars x2 for me and Eric Ho / on-sale Lindt Fudge Swirl chocolate truffles. When I got home, the Internet STILL was spotty and not working, so I had to call up Shaw AGAIN to see what was going on with that. The girl recommended I go to the Richmond Centre Shaw store and pick up a free Wi-Fi router / modem instead of waiting for it to be mailed, so I did that at 3.

I also dropped by Shoppers Drug Mart to see what else they had for sale: I saved $12 on Stouffer's Sauté Sensations! Thai Chicken, Shrimp Alfredo, Chicken Alfredo, and Chicken Parmigiana... yay for working freezers! Then I got home and called Shaw again, getting an East Indian person in Winnipeg instead. He eventually set up an appointment on Friday between 12 and 2 for a technician to come out, but also put me on a priority line because I technically had no service. At 6:15, I went on a useless time-wasting trip to Brighouse Library because I couldn't remember any passwords! After I walked home, I played more FINAL FANTASY V SPOOF from when I continued it earlier in the afternoon.

After I had COFFEE TIME, Barry picked me up at 12:50 and we went banking and to Price Smart, where 80% of the store smelled like durian! I bought on-sale Western Family store brand Ultra paper towels in a six-pack, on-sale Cottonelle toilet paper, Fanny Bay raw oysters for $20 (June 2, 2017), noodles, SOMETHING NEW, ice cream, dumplings, Western Family store brand chili con carne (hot AND original styles!) plus Uncle Ben's Bistro Express basmati rice x2 to go with it, on-sale Finesse extra body shampoo / conditioner, Koka curry noodles x2, store brand large rubber gloves, on-sale Finesse moisturizing shampoo / conditioner, on-sale Juzz Mee noodles x2 (original AND curry), Paldo spicy cheese ramen, regular and curry Laksa wholegrain La Mian noodles, and on-sale Silk almond milk x2. Then we went to London Drugs: a Jersey Milk chocolate bar for the Randal memory dragon, on-sale SunRype apple juice, on-sale SunRype orange juice, and on-sale Colgate 360° toothbrushes x2.

Barry and I saw a GOLDEN TRUCK in the back parking lot of London Drugs! When I got home, I paid my Shaw bill online. Then I went back to London Drugs (twice in one day!) at 6:30 on a 401 so I could get some on-sale LATE JULY organic multigrain tortilla chips for the time coincidence and quirkiness! I love quirky coincidences! While I was there, I couldn't resist getting one last large SunRype apple juice for a total savings of $12 on four jugs because the sale ends tonight! I got home at 6:55 on a 407, so YAY FOR BUS EFFICIENCY! I also saw an old guy with an artificial leg!
