After MORE COFFEE TIME and SHOWER TIME, I went out at 4:45 on a 401 to get to the Discord get-together at the Rio Brazilian Steakhouse on Denman. All I had to do was get off at Yaletown (where the elevator is STILL not working!), go to the 6 stop which is very close by, and stay on there when it turned into a 5 and went to Denman / Pendrell... easy! It turns out that it was just me and Ben, which meant that I had to carry on a bit of the conversation, but I'm not socially awkward.

We talked about chicken, lamb, beef brisket, banana balls, cheese sticks, chicken bacon, rump, sirloin steak, it being easy to overeat since the steak came in slices off swords, getting searched at the airport with X-rays, bullet shells, double standards for some people in the server, people drinking a LOT there, random spontaneous meetups, some server people being flakes, recycling trucks, waterparks, the extravagant salad bar, and more. I decided to try "saving time" by going to the Vancouver City Centre London Drugs, but I can never figure out the layout and can never find anything there. Also ran into an annoying bike rider who decided to get his crap together RIGHT AFTER EXITING THE ELEVATOR! Can't you do that off to the side?! People like me will bump into you! Did the "sit till Waterfront and take the "next" train all the way to Brighouse" trick, and went to my familiar London Drugs for Wet Ones x3 and aloe Purell hand sanitizer x2, one each for my wallet. Finally got home at 9:05 on a 407, which I guess is fine - but I could have come home earlier!

I went out at 3:10 on a 407 (which luckily picked me up at the sidewalk) for shopping purposes. Decided to go to the Bay to see if they had any halfway affordable camisoles: I lucked into a half-price weekend sale on Core Life camisoles (which I bet Jimmy would like to wear), and so I bought four of them. Some of them had a built-in shelf bra, which I later found out made things more difficult to wear. Ugh!

Went to London Drugs to get Indomie Mi Goreng Chitato chips x5 for Chinese Eric, Speed Stick Glacier deodorant, limited-edition Cheetos Leaves snacks for Canada Day, NEW on-sale Hardbite Pepper Jack chips, an on-sale Tasty Bite pack (Organic Ancient Grains), and Purell hand sanitizer x3. I got home at 4:35 on a 407, which is good. Then I went to London Drugs again at 7 on a 401 to get on-sale Vaseline lotion (big green Aloe Vera / small yellow Dry Skin Repair), and more on-sale Tasty Bite packs x10. (Basmati White Rice x6 / Thai Vegetable Curry / Thai Vegetable Peanut / Coconut Vegetables / Vindaloo) Got home at 7:40 and found out that I don't actually like Kettle Honey Dijon chips AND that my Becel avocado oil margarine expires tomorrow. Guess I'll be going out again sometime to get a tub!

Pile of dirt outside my window yesterday - thanks, construction! It almost obscures the hospital, man!

Via Facebook messages, Andrew M. apologized for not calling me last night, and we worked out payment for the Windows 7 computer / hard drive / Windows 7 key in writing, which is definitely a good thing. At least I have $200 instead of $150 in that cash envelope, so things can get paid off a little bit faster! Then he called at 7:20 to discuss his not being a robo-call, computer cases on wheels, sound cards, diabetes, coming to Richmond / Memory Express from Coquitlam, having the kids on the weekend and every other one, and cash vs. e-transfers.

I didn't mind if he wanted to drop by, so that's what he did at 8:20. His reaction upon finding out that this computer has 2 GB of RAM via System Tools: "HOLY CRAAAAAAAAAAAP!" We discussed possibly doing that stuff with the computer next weekend, my being welcome to drop by his place while he fiddles with things, a written receipt on the bank envelope, my computer cases, Google Chrome, my Shaw cable modem, my hard drive being compatible with his setup, and more. He laughed when I dropped all the $20 bills out of the cash money envelope, but that was fine!

I went out at 2:45 and got two cans of NEW Comfort Creek Foods chicken and dumplings from the Dollar Tree. Then I got another pack of Samyang 2x Spicy Hot Chicken Ramen Flavor noodles from Big Crazy. Since they had a 10-cent surcharge on debit purchases, I got some Want Want snowy crackers. (which are plain and bland, so I'll give them to Chrystal) Apparently, I forgot my purple wallet there! Good thing that a lady came up behind me in the parking lot and let me know... that saved me some time and energy! Then I went to London Drugs to get a NEW Vileda cotton and microfibre mop and a NEW Vileda Quick Wring bucket - the wringer is connected to the bucket!

That's much easier than trying to get the wringer to stay on the grey bucket from people, so I threw out the old mop and bucket (along with the slightly wet toilet paper packs from yesterday) when I got home at 4. Later, I went to London Drugs again at 5:55 to get the rest of my bulky purchases: Cottonelle toilet paper x2 and on-sale SpongeTowels Ultra-Strong paper towels! I added two on-sale MAMA spicy shrimp noodles and on-sale NEW Bar Harbor fish chowder cans x2 to that as long as I was using my Royal Bank debit card. I got home at 6:35 on a 407, and I'd better not have any more emergencies in the next ten days!

At 7:45 tonight, I found that I could tag non-friends in Facebook photos again - YAY! That's how it should be, dammit! Thank goodness it didn't last two weeks, as I had a lot of photos to tag!

From Janina: Can you spare just $2? Ranji is a nine-year-old boy living in Namibia. He has only one leg, one arm, and one eye. Each day, he has to ride seven miles to school along a narrow road on a rusty bike with bent wheels, no brakes, and only one pedal. If you send us just $2, we will send you the video - it's fucking hilarious.

[livejournal.com profile] lilaznffairy421 and I have decided to see if we can reach the maximum number of comments on a post, which is currently set at 5000. (I guess the previous limit of 60,000-something was way too much.. probably caused the servers to crash, burn, and explode!)

We're not members of [livejournal.com profile] _commentwhores, so no worries there. If you want to help us reach that comment limit on this post, go ahead! (I thought of not allowing anyone else to comment, but that didn't promote a spirit of togetherness)

It will be interesting to see how long this takes, so the post will be dated. Whoever first leaves a comment, please date it. If we ever get to 5000 on the post, date the last one if you remember!

Leave any comments you like on any topic, but remember: I have full veto power, and I can delete anything I choose to. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! *evil grin*

By the way: please include a subject line when starting a new thread in the comments section. It makes my job of sifting through emails so much easier. :D

Edit on Wednesday, 2 February 2005 @ 10:50 PM We're done! Yay! :D For Farrah's friends who want to see this for themselves, it's now public. ;)

Edit on Tuesday, 31 May 2011 @ 8:05 PM [livejournal.com profile] matt1993 wants to get this up to the newer limit of 10,000 comments.
