There was a Shaw outage last night at 6:45, so I texted both Erics / Mike before reading a bit and then going to bed at 8:30 PM! Woke up this morning at 5:45, and Shaw was back on since my phone worked... PHEW! Chinese Eric had replied to ask when it would be fixed - I said it was fixed by the time I texted him, but no TV, no Internet, no landline phone or Internet on smartphone, I told him!

Steph sent me a Facebook message wondering if December 19 to January 1 was okay for the Ontario trip, or if I had New Year's Eve parties back home to attend, saying that she and Lisa have low-key New Year's celebrations themselves. That's actually great, since she thinks the airports won't be too crazy on those particular dates! WOO! TIME TO POST A BUNCH OF PLACEHOLDERS!

If she thinks plane crashes and a divorce are violent, and that I'm racist simply for bringing up Mexican jails.... how does a conversation about not liking mushiness on FaceTime IN PUBLIC (at the airport boarding area) devolve into this?!

After COFFEE TIME, I went out at 2 on a 414 to see Rachel at the Caring Place. I also went to Price Smart to pick up some Western Family lemonade at the customer service desk: Classic Lemonade and Raspberry Lemonade! Then I went to London Drugs to eventually buy an on-sale Spiderman / Spider-Man Funko Pop toy for Ayler's birthday, an on-sale Zookie Slappy stuffed puppy toy for Beckett's birthday, on-sale iron pills, and pads. Last stop was Shoppers for some President's Choice Blue Menu butter chicken cooking sauce for my white rice (I couldn't find the on=sale Arroy-D curry sauces at London Drugs for some reason), NEW Hershey's Cookies and Creme sweet and salty Popped Mix, and NEW Hershey's Cookies and Creme sweet and salty Popped Mix.

Since my bag was already heavy enough, I opted to stop by my place at 4:05 to unload and draft before going out again at 5:20. Besides, I had to take clearer photos of all the lemonade than what was available online through a quick Google search! At the hospital bus stop, I had the distinct displeasure of encountering an openly racist white smoker skateboard guy who spat at me and called me a C-word rhyming with THINK. Like I said to the white lady standing at the bus stop, this city is 50% Asian AND was built on the backs of Asian laborers! Someone doesn't know or care about their history...

While I was at Richmond Centre anyway to take advantage of the wi-fi to POST the lemonade photos to Facebook, I got some takeout dinner: chicken and beef special combo with rice, kimchi, and broccoli plus Pepsi from Koryo Korean BBQ. Then I walked to the other end of the mall to see if I could fix my text message sending and notification problem at Wireless Wave. I was amazed when I could recognize Walter without my glasses, and he fixed the problem by testing it with his phone! He said to say hi to my parents - sure, why not? Then I went to London Drugs for some Method dish soap: Lime and Sea Salt, Sea Mineral, Clementine, and Lemon Mint. I saw some NEW Dawn Botanicals dish detergent, so got the Aloe Water before having to wait for the next 407 and finally getting home at 7. The elevator is STILL out at London Drugs plaza - ugh! I got PLENTY of walking done, and also made dinner plans with Steve and Paulo for tomorrow: the Richmond Centre White Spot at 5-ish it is. Steve said, "No pork, no chocolate, and no spice," so that pretty much leaves us with "boring" bland white people food.

THERE WAS ANOTHER WATER SHUTOFF TODAY - NOT IMPRESSED! After I had COFFEE TIME and fielded an early-morning phone call from Megan at the Burrard eye clinic (Dr. Wise wants to see me this week to check her lens choice?! Friday it is...), Barry picked me up at 11 and we went banking and to Price Smart. I got bananas, on-sale Silk vanilla almond milk, on-sale Nissin noodles x4 (XO Sauce / seafood / black garlic oil / sesame oil), Koka Noodles x2 (Spicy Black Pepper / Tomato), on-sale Uncle Ben's rice x3 (Smokey Flavor / Tomato and Herb / Mushroom Wild rice), MAGGI LETUP / Maggi Kari Letup noodles, and one litre of NEW on-sale Yamasa soy sauce which expires in late October 2020 (I was able to pull off the annoying tab in the store!) / NEW Allen's Vinegar 500 mL of malt vinegar (crammed with the white vinegar and red vinegar on the Western side of Price Smart) / 700 grams of on-sale Laoganma spicy chili crisp oil for DUMPLING SAUCE! (my jar opener thankfully worked on that when I got home!)

Also bought on-sale Brookside Chocolate x2 (Blackberry and Honey / Pomegranate), NEW on-sale Peace Tea cans x2 (Sno-Berry / Mango Green Tea), Lucky Me! Mami Beef Noodles, one Stouffer's Sauté Sensations microwaveable meal (Grilled Chicken Teriyaki), Western Family frozen veggies in the BIG bag, NEW Olympic Dairy small yogurt tubs x3 (Fig Honey / Citrus Cardamom / Smoked Applewood Vanilla - each 325 grams), Puritan canned Irish stew, on-sale JOY dumplings x5 for the Big Crazy price of $4.99 per bag (the last five available - Pork and Vegetable x2 / Lamb and Onion x2 / Pork and Chive), NEW on-sale Tropical Salsa Kettle Chips, and on-sale mint Oreo cookies. I think I'm looking forward to all the snack food! Haha!

Additional purchases: On-sale Old Dutch Humpty Dumpty cheese sticks (Habanero and Blue Cheese!), on-sale Excel spearmint Soft Chew gum x3, on-sale Western Family bottled water x12 (gotta keep ahead of all these sudden and unexpected water shutoffs around here lately...), Ben and Jerry's Moophoria ice cream x2 (Peanut Butter Cookie Dough to replace the one that Paulo ate last week on Thursday even though he says he owes me / NEW Caramel Cookie Fix), NEW on-sale Hardbite chips x3 (Sweet Ghost Pepper / Avocado and Lime / Black Sea Salt), NEW on-sale Ruffles Flaming Hot BBQ chips, and NEW Campbell's Everyday Gourmet Asparagus and Sweet Basil soup. I got Ray as my cashier, and Barry made a comment about how it took me two hours at the store. I wasn't expecting to take 20 minutes to find the malt vinegar, no thanks to some employees there! After I got home at 12:55, I paid my Shaw and hydro bills online. Then I waited out the water shutoff - it was back on by 5:30, THANK GOODNESS!

My WHATEVER T-shirt... YAY!

Yesterday, I called Chinese Eric to see if he could give me a ride to Jeremy's or back home. He called me back on his lunch break (at 1:20 BEFORE I left to see Rachel), and he was planning to take transit to work at the Art Gallery and then go straight to Jeremy's. I hoped Kevin could drive me to Broadway Station again since white Eric can't make it because of his hockey commitments! I had to leave really early for Jeremy's place because I had to walk to Brighouse station - thanks, endless sewer upgrades and construction! Luckily, I found an in-service bus stop at Alderbridge, so I killed time at Shoppers, buying Korean BBQ Kettle Chips x3 and some Nair. FUCKING JIMMY! Got to Dude Chilling Park at 6:10, which was slightly early. Kingsgate Mall was closing, too.

I met up with Jeremy (so we could all see his new flooring / baseboards and test some marbles on it), Christon, Kevin, Chinese Eric, and Randal. Christon made some pulled pork, chicken and coleslaw. We had my Indomie Mi Goreng chips / various beers (like the cocoa / vanilla Winter Ale) / salsa / Que Pasa chips, called Eric Ho to see where he was, figured out the long wifi password (which Jeremy didn't think much of at first - but then realized he'd never seen me with a smartphone before), discussed my eye surgeries and Jeremy's nose surgery / Huawei / the Rugby Sevens / Uniqlo / Muji / Daiso / real estate / wedding planning / people with 4400 to 5000 Facebook friends, the Lucky Charms Saturday Morning beer for St. Patrick's Day, and waited for Jon to get there even later. I wanted to go home at 10, but nope - I had to wait for 45 more minutes, despite Chinese Eric wanting to head home right after the game ended at 9:30!

Jeremy loved the blurb for the Lucky Charms beer and laughed at it, at least! Kevin did indeed drive me to Broadway Station, while Jon and Chinese Eric got rides back home from Randal. Yeah, that wasn't too bad. I ended up getting home at around midnight on a 401 (passing up a 407 at Brighouse), and was surprised that I was still somewhat awake, since I'd gone to bed at 9:45 yesterday. I did make myself some hot chocolate to warm up from the cold weather. The Canucks played the Knights at 7 tonight, and lost 6-2. Not good if it was 5-1 at the end of the first... 3-0 after the first twelve minutes!

After COFFEE TIME, Barry picked me up at 8:30 AM so we could go to the UBC Eye Care Centre on Willow at 9:15 AM for an eye measurement scan because of my dense cataract. RED LIGHTS IN FRONT OF MY EYES! SMELLING SKIN! The technician asked where my parents were and why they weren't with me... I CAN TAKE CARE OF THINGS MYSELF, AND MY RIDE IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!

Barry and I talked about the rush-hour traffic, the Royal Bank kiosk machine that I noticed yesterday inside Shoppers, changing the payday shopping appointment plans to THURSDAY instead of Wednesday at 9:30 AM (gets me out of going to Dinesty with the parents!), his ongoing Wednesday appointments at 11, the RDSP stuff, and music. I got home at 10:10, and he helped me move the bedframe support back inside from where the cleaners left it outside where I'd bump into it. OUCH! I still can't close my bedroom door fully, though.

While I remembered, I emailed Eric about the construction zone and consequent road closures as a reminder for Sunday's ride to Jeremy's. He replied to say that he has a cold, so might not be okay for Sunday - UGH! The Canucks played the Wild at 5 today, and lost 6-2! I also discovered that SOMEONE put my Not Always Right / Not Always Right / Not Always Working / Not Always Romantic / Not Always Related / Not Always Learning / Not Always Friendly / Not Always Hopeless / Not Always Legal / Not Always Healthy / Unfiltered / Popular Disqus account on a commenting timeout! After DOUBLE COFFEE TIME, finishing my Chicken pasta Sidekicks which expired on April 10, and finishing both of my grape Gatorade bottles which expired TOMORROW (1.2 litres with lots of peeing!), I left at 4 to meet Jon's family at the Oakridge Safeway at 4:45, but of course they were late. Jon says that they have a van now - SWEET! We went to Golden Spring Restaurant for Mother's Day / Mom's 70th birthday. Ayler tried grabbing my hat, but I said no. Later, he said that he could stay up later if he had energy - yeah, that sounds about right.

Harmony decided to enforce her "no screens" rule on the entire front room of Golden Spring Restaurant (which turned out to be right near the old VCEFC) because Hiero always wanted to see what was on the TV - you couldn't even HEAR it! I had to put up with Auntie Teresa, but at least Auntie Eva dropped me off at King Edward station later. Lamb, (boneless) rock cod, celery, green beans with beef, crispy chicken, rice with eggs and scallops, onions, Chinese root soup, red bean soup, and "Bring Your Own Dessert" New Zealand Manuka honey chocolate! 12 rolls of Western Family toilet paper, a floral sweater vest, and $5 cash! I got home at 8:25 after opting for a leisurely walk home from Brighouse Station. Now I think it's time to relax with Jimmy, as per usual. :D

I got a Christmas card with a star on it, plus Christmas penguin / Santa hat stickers from Christy C. (snoopdawg) in the mail today. Then after looking at the weather forecast at 1:15, I called Chrystal at work to hopefully make plans for next week. We'll meet next Friday at the Broadway London Drugs at 7:30, which sounds fine to me. No games and nothing to conflict with it!

FINAL FANTASY V SPOOF Bestiary!

THIS ENTRY IS ALLOWED TO HAVE NON-ALIGNED TAGS.

This is the complete bestiary for FINAL FANTASY 5 SPOOF, and all screenshots are from my own playthrough. I'd like to say that this GameFAQs bestiary document helped me a lot; thank you! (as did this one, for more precise directions in certain places) Also, this walkthrough helped me a lot, too! Actually, I was tired of suffering through emulator slowness and game glitches x8, so input a code for a 100% complete Bestiary. These maps will help, since the world map DOESN'T FUCKING WORK IN THIS GAME!

This is a good RPG Classics page for Pro Action Replay codes!

CHECK THE MAP WITH THE Y BUTTON, NOT THE R BUTTON!

Fire-Powered Ship puzzle directions.

Notes to self: Activate the All Characters Have All Abilities code, and then TAKE IT OFF, or else the game will get incredibly frustratingly SLOW. Also, take all codes off before going to the Big Bridge, or attempting to find the Phantom Village! VISHNU VEST EQUIPMENT! Speaking of equipment, EQUIP KRILE WHEN SHE JOINS THE PARTY AFTER GALUF'S DEATH! As far as codes go, the "have 99 of all items" code makes the game freeze and have sound issues!

After much frustration over three hours, I managed to defeat Omega by using the power of Mirage Vests (IMAGE STATUS) / Coral Rings (fire protection), and a pre-emptive strike! I used it to power up my blades with Thundaga Spellblade, then used Rapid-Fire on Faris... I think it was a fluke!

Also, to reset the breath timer in the sunken tower of Walse, climb up the fourth floor vine to get to that chest! I finally actually defeated Famed Mimic Gogo at the bottom of the sunken Tower of Walse by using the Dragoon / Dual-Wield x4 strategy! It was pretty tricky since I wasn't sure that all my characters would survive at least five Meteor attacks, but two of them did! Got garbled text as part of the bugged fight, too... "Dragged into another dimension! Odin: All right, that's far enough! Turning to stone... Can't escape! Countdown to Pestilence... 4 KO'd! Countdown to Eruption... 5 KO'd! Level halved! KO'd!":D

To get the Drakenvale Golem in the Bestiary, defeat the dragons first and THEN defend until he thanks you!

Stick "READ AHEAD" on a character other than Lenna! To prevent having to input all the codes over and over again, SAVE / remove all codes / then close and reopen the emulator! They should all still be there!

For the Moogle in the Forest of Moore to move after the trees have been set on fire by Tzepish, save the game in the cave and then reset. The creature should NOT be blocking the entrance.

Airship in World 3: It's just above Surgate Castle, east of the Pyramid.

DO NOT SET ANY "No Random Encounters" CODE! IT WILL GLITCH OUT THE GAME! (submarine / world map won't work, and there WILL be no random encounters)

TRY DEFEATING NEO SHINRYU FIRST BEFORE OMEGA MK. II - or else you can't get out of the room for some reason! (the exit door SHOULD be open, but is shut tight instead!)

"You Enhance Lives"

You're the type of person who likes to work quietly behind the scenes. Very few people notice all that you do.
You love to help, but you aren't looking for credit. You know that you do a lot simply being there for others.

You are steady, dependable, and loyal. You aren't just a rock, though - you also have a good spark that lights up the world.
You bring lightness and depth, optimism, and realism to others' lives. You are often what is missing.

"You Are Birdie"

You are as wise as they come. You have a good deal of life experience, and you've definitely learned from it.
You may be down to earth, but you have a wild past that few know about. And you're happy to keep it that way.

You have a lot of foresight, but you don't go around making predictions. You just let things unfold.
You are steady and encouraging. You are always rooting your friends on from the sidelines.
