I had to spend MORE time out and MORE MONEY today at Richmond Centre because of ANOTHER temporary water shutoff. *rolleyes* Good thing I had plenty of cash! I bought a White Spot breakfast quesadilla with chorizo sausage, a White Spot blueberry milkshake that slightly tasted like cough syrup (what are they doing with those machines overnight?!), NEW on-sale OGX Beauty tea tree / mint shampoo and conditioner, on-sale Dove pomegranate shampoo and conditioner from $8.99 to $2.99, NEW Life iron pill supplements, NEW Jamieson Vitamins garlic softgels, and NEW Irish Spring charcoal body wash. Shoppers and London Drugs both worked! Got home at 5:40 on a 407 (was NOT going to call Hester because of the one-word and hangup I received LAST YEAR), and the water was back on, so I could take a shower for tomorrow!

There was snow this morning at 11 AM! Of all the people, Auntie Vonnie texted me (at least identifying herself, unlike either of my parents) saying that the building insurance had expired as of January 4, so I had to call Hester to find out if I still needed it (yes), and then tell her about the light bulb issue. "If the light bulb is broken, that's your job. [NOT what I was calling about...] Turn the TV off. [NOT the TV! THE PRE-GAME SHOW!] Write a note. If I can't understand you, you can't understand me. [WTF?!]" Called the insurance office to see how much it was: $375!

I also got banned from R/Relationship_Advice for literally telling a guy that he was scum since his comment was "My girlfriend got raped and I'm having a hard time with it because I would have been her first if her ex hadn't done that." Fuck that! YOU ARE A SCUMBAG AND A SCUMBUCKET! Then someone on Youtube tried telling me how an insistence on proper spelling and grammar could be ableist and classist - HA HA HA! I don't excuse it EVER unless you are a kid just learning how things work. The Canucks played Boston today at 4, and lost 4-0. I showered today.

After COFFEE TIME and a phone call from Uncle Andrew's office to reschedule my appointment tomorrow till next Friday (so I had time to take a shower for today AND revise my blog drafts), I left at 2:30 on a 401 for my appointment at 3 with King-Lok at Touchstone. Buswell was hard to find! Now I know it's behind Saba and pretty near the Richmond Public Market and has a red awning, thanks to the Chinese guys at a nearby business. The appointment went okay, but I didn't know I'd have to score everything afterwards. I was 15 minutes late, which is a great impression to make, but in my defense, I was busy trying to find the place! Yes, it was a largely understanding and respectful experience.

I then went to Captain Wa in the Richmond Public Market for an order of $2 vegetable spring rolls, and walked to London Drugs for Softsoap x2 since I was running out with no backup! Got Juicy Melon and Cucumber plus Vanilla Brown Sugar, and was home at 5 on a 407. Marietta saw me borrowing the medical building's wi-fi and said hi, so I greeted her back, of course. I also decided to email Rachel an update just because. I'll call Dr. Kirker's retina specialist office again tomorrow for that legally-required referral, and just sent Jon a message about next week's availability even if they're probably in Seattle by now.

My parents are on a cruise and didn't let me know, so I wasted my time calling them to get their voicemail multiple times yesterday! Then Dad emailed me to say that they could call me from the shore at 8:30, but then emailed me again at 8 to say that they were still on the ship. Since I don't want to deal with stressful and inconvenient phone calls in the morning when I'm trying to shower and get out the door, I just PMed Brian about it instead since Paulo said he could be good for this sort of thing. To be fair, we had discussed it yesterday just in case. Thank goodness for friends since he agreed to do this for me! He doesn't even have to stay for the entire four hours! I also got to text Pothead Mike for the first time, so YAY! (and talked to Jon via FB Messenger for a bit about the surgery and other things)

I went out at 9:30 on a 401 to meet Mom and Dad at Main and 15th at TXL Insurance, Uncle William Ng's company. (10:30 AM?!) After we had lunch at Kwong Chow and finally took care of the insurance, I did some shopping at the Broadway London Drugs. Bought 400 Mead index cards, store brand all-purpose cleaner, a three-inch Avery binder for my important documents (a definite upgrade!), a red $2 MARTEX washcloth, a GUM toothbrush, and two dark blue $2 GOODY toothbrush covers. Got home at 1:40 to a Purolator notice (ugh), a phone call from Dr. Wise's office, and some other mail, so I had to deal with all of that.

I got a BUDDY THE ELF Christmas card / Tazo Tea x3 (passion herbal tea, vanilla caramel chai, and green ginger tea) / magnetic Fool Moon treasures crow bookmark from Angie H. (auralily) and a Ringo the dog Christmas card from Kitty (bornwitch / dutch_kitty) in the mail. Then after calling Dr. Wise's office back, I GOT MY SURGERY TIME! 11:45 at Mount St. Joseph's isn't TERRIBLE! After letting Barry know about the surgery date and then fielding an inconvenient phone call from Mom (I was going to go out before it got dark!), I trekked near YVR on Jericho Road to get to the Purolator via YVR Airport Canada Line, placing myself nearer the airport than I'd intended today, as I told Corey when I got back. After DOUBLE COFFEE TIME, I left at 2:45 on a 401 for Jeremy's. I had the on-sale Brookside Chocolate bars x2 (Roasted Almond and Sea Salt / Cranberry Almond with Blood Orange Flavor) and the four NHL 100 Advent calendars / Waterbridge Belgian chocolate seashells for Jon, plus the Terry's Chocolate Orange / NHL 100 Advent calendar / Waterbridge Belgian chocolate seashells for Eric Ho. Maybe HE could drive me home, haha! It turned out he couldn't since he'd driven downtown because he wouldn't be able to get much parking! I killed 45 minutes at Kingsgate Mall, but got to Jeremy's at 4. Ayler picked up, but wouldn't buzz me into the building for some reason. I tried four times after that, and LUCKILY, Jeremy's neighbors were exiting the building and let me in! (possibly because they saw I was actively trying to be buzzed in) Later, we found out that the kids had left the phone off the hook for half an hour! UGH!

I settled in by Harmony, saying hi to her and baby Beckett, who held my finger and burbled at me. Ayler and Hiero wanted to do THUMB WAR and STELLA STELLA OLA, but I was fine with watching them (and the Rubik's Cube) instead. I read a MR. MEN book to them, plus a book on frogs and one on animal tracks and Curious George. When everyone got there, I managed to get a ride to Broadway Station from Kevin later on. Talked to Randal, SERVANTS friends (Rudy?), Christon, Dilys, Alice, Jesse, Trish, Caleb, Becky, and others about Crown Royal Black whiskey, condos, townhouses, toilets, sanitation, history, vacation, the Christmas holidays, beer, the food, white Eric, Chinese Eric, Condoleeza Rice and the Cleveland Browns, women and guns, chimeras / DNA / transgender people, Uncle Stanley's colon cancer (but he is positive about it), and more. Kevin drove me near Broadway Station at 8:50 in the freezing weather, and I got home at 9:50 on a 407. Phew!

I went out to the nearby medical clinic to get removal for hearing at 1:30 today, and still had to wait almost an hour, getting home at 2:25! At least now I can hear better!

Edit at 6:30 - I used up the last of my milk unwittingly, so I had to go out again at 5:35 on a 407 to London Drugs. I got Silk almond milk and on-sale Pepperidge Farms cookies x2. Strawberry thumbprint cookies and chessmen butter cookies! I got home again at 6 on another 407.

I decided to go out on the 407 to Yaohan, but that actually took fucking forever compared to going to the Canada Line and taking it to Aberdeen Station. Ugh, never again! I had some noodles with beef internal organs after buying Soo Spicy Szechuan beef jerky, Soo Keta wild Pacific salmon black pepper jerky, Szechaun Numbing Spicy noodles, and Spicy Squid noodles from Osaka Supermarket. Finally got home at 2:05, which is okay.

Turns out that Tryanna from Pathways was calling me from a private number a lot yesterday, but I finally picked up this morning to see what the heck was up with all those repeated calls. Turns out that she had a cold and couldn't do food shopping today, so we settled on Friday at 1 instead. Auntie Catherine also emailed to wish me a happy belated birthday, and says that we should catch up in the second half of October after her Hong Kong trip with Uncle Y.C. Sure, why not? The Canucks had Pre-Season Game #3 against Calgary tonight at 6, and won 5-3. Time to get some sleep before the Shanghai game against the Kings!
