I went out at 11:55 to go to Canadian Tire so I could get another Starfrit jar opener (Aisle 54 - had to get an employee to help me grab it) and 20 face masks for $20. I always overshoot the 410 station - I SHOULD GET OFF AT ABERDEEN, NOT HAZELBRIDGE! I texted Barry about payday, and he called me when I was outside Canadian Tire - yeah, I thought I'd have to do it myself again! Then I peeked inside Yaohan - there was a lineup either for Osaka Supermarket or a temperature check service. My last stop was London Drugs: All Clean Natural lemon-mint spray hand sanitizer x2 (no limit), Scrubbing Bubbles, London Naturals orange cleaner, NEW Microban 24-Hour bathroom spray x2 in Fresh and Citrus scents, and portable Wet Ones x2. Got home at 2:10 on a 407, too.

How Much Toilet Paper? The Toilet Paper Calculator For Quarantine / Isolation!

We were so bored in Ceriam's Discord server that we were sharing photos of our computer / tech setups. Stallings said that my handwriting on the latest version of my shopping list was pretty, so I thanked him for the compliment.

Andrew came over at 5:15 today, after sleeping in. Hey, no worries, I told him. He didn't want to bother with the whole parking pass rigmarole, which I admit IS annoying. We discussed my eye surgery last year, Merritt, family updates, Search Everything, Chrome, my computer settings, computer drivers, pooping 187 times a day to use up a LOT of toilet paper, his wanting to know the programs so he can determine what's going on (which I understand), and fixing the tangled phone cord. He was over for about an hour, and left at 6:45 or so, not finding anything inherently wrong which would cause the computer to freeze! All temperatures are in very normal ranges since I'm underutilizing the computer's power. Nope, this is not a heavy-duty gaming rig!

He cut me a break on his fee (as Mike said) when I asked what the damage was, since he didn't really do too much: $20 cash sounds much better than $40, even during these times! I thought he would say that his kid stayed at his place so long that the pandemic happened during a week's extension, but it turned out to be much worse! We talked about lining up to shop at Superstore and other places now, and raising his rates six months ago - I know that a full tank of gas plus three jerry cans in the States is value! Or it was, but now we can't just go down there for cheap gas.

He did notice that the computer mouse stopped momentarily whenever the computer made a musical noise, but that wouldn't cause things to freeze... of course, the computer WOULD freeze shortly AFTER he left. It's not like I could have reproduced the issue on demand! At his request / upon his request, I did record a rather choppy phone video of me flipping off the power switch at the back and then turning on the power button again. Sigh. I did update Eric as well via text while noticing some weird font issues on my computer, possibly related to Andrew deleting WonderShare and some other programs. Yes, Andrew is still anti-Windows 10. Still, he has to keep current...

I showered and then had to do MORE laundry on the third floor because my grey sweatshirt somehow got damp from laying it on the carpet!

Edit at 12:10 AM - Paulo came over at 11:55, and has already found TWO dead mice on glue traps in the corner! No wonder I smelled something decomposing last week! I also got him to replace my old shower curtain from 2010 or so, since it had mold. We talked about the Canadian coronavirus cases, and there are a lot in Quebec and Ontario! There are definitely ten cases at Richmond Hospital, from what he's been told! Everything has indeed been shut down - not even the families can visit because they'll go outside and pick up germs, which won't be very good for those patients! He recommended I replace my Splashee Softee taupe bath mat since the tread seems to be gone, and I might slip. Probably a good idea for the future! I should have gotten him to check the other corner, but things seem okay right now. I definitely had rubber gloves, Kleenex, plastic bags, and a garbage bag at the ready! When he left just now, I thanked him.

Ayler called me at 9:40 AM to read me their schedule for the day: free play, mealtimes, piano, spelling, reading, and bedtime at 8 or so! He also says that his new rule should be that he can stay up 15 minutes later every year on his birthday. I said that sounds like a good rule, and wondered how long it would be until he just stayed up all night. Hiero said that he made a birthday card for his mom - yes, Harmony's birthday is today! Ayler also made a birthday card for her, but said that they were giving her a good birthday gift: sleeping in until 10 AM! He also gave me a play-by-play: She wasn't up when he called me, but was when he was going to end the call at 10:10. Beckett was still eating a breakfast of oatmeal and honey, so I didn't really talk to him.

I asked Ayler how he could tell that Beckett missed me: apparently, he goes around saying "Goo-Mah" - cute! Ayler also thinks that Steph lives in a different country because her timezone is different - HAHAHA! We discussed Jeremy's cat Hudson, how burping works, how Ayler really likes talking (so he can talk on the phone to Jeremy for 90 minutes!), my banana yogurt being "gross" (HE'S not eating it!), Hiero thinking I was sleeping when they called me yesterday (I told them that sometimes some people like having their phone off when they're doing other things), my saying happy birthday to Harmony when she WAS awake, my eating all of the chocolate I got for Harmony's birthday this year since there will be no family gathering this year, and our keeping up my coming over when coronavirus is done. He said bye at 10:10 after confirming that it was 10:05 on my end, and also said that I work from 9 AM to 10 AM. Jon's also teaching him questionable things about me, if HIS laughter is any indication!

I got roped into going to a Chinese New Year dinner tonight by Jon's text... so I had to shower, have COFFEE TIME, and give up a few hours of alone time! Left at 4:30 on a 407, and then got to Kwong Chow at 5:35 or so. We talked about the new coronavirus, my reading about Lego Ninjago to Hiero, Ayler asking me weird questions (and soaking up his 90 seconds of screen time with the All-Star Game), Beckett imitating his brother doing an angry face and waving his finger around (so funny!), Beckett saying "yeah" to some stuff (but probably not knowing what it means), Beckett saying MINE! about the plastic bowl from the restaurant, Beckett noticing my bling on my red shirt ("Boh-boh! Auntie!"), and my getting some leftovers AND $10 in lucky money.

I JUST MISSED THE 3 BUS GOING ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE RESTAURANT AT 7:30! Then I had to wait 25 minutes for the next one, then was waiting for at least 45 minutes for info about a 407 not coming at Brighouse. Turns out there was plenty of police activity across the street at Moore's clothing store, which was cordoned off with crime scene tape - the street was blocked off, too. Nobody else knew what was going on since my text alerts only said "detour on X streets" (and NOT WHY) and someone else's app was wildly inaccurate as to where the next bus was. Someone else smelled gas, so figured it was a gas leak - a bus driver FINALLY confirmed it. A poor girl had been waiting for an hour by the time we got confirmed info! I texted Paulo, Eric M., and Harma about it, finally got home at 9:40 on the THIRD 401 I saw, and had to change the CFL light bulb in my living room because it fizzled out!

Since I couldn't sleep because of the neighbors stomping around upstairs at 3:30 AM (FUCK YOU - PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO SLEEP!), I got up at 6:30 AM and ate my sushi. To my surprise, Chrystal of all the people had texted me last night to say she can't make it to dinner tonight because she has to go out and eat Chinese New Year dinner with her family instead. Sure, I can accept that as an excuse! I cancelled on Rishu since I got up from my much-needed nap at 2:15. At 6:10, Chrystal texted me back: January 31 sounds good to her!

I discovered that Andre had unfriended / blocked me on Facebook - WHAT THE HECK?! Eric picked me up at 8:50 AM so I could use church as a vehicle to get to the Osborne Gym at UBC for Hiero's 6th birthday party. It helps that his hockey is all the way out at UBC, too... and it turned out that his hockey building is practically right next to the Robert Osborne building! He said that the LUFIA music sounded like something crazy was going on at my place - HAHAHA! I packed the Creature Chumpers toy (but forgot the birthday card), a bottled water, my Doge bag, and the other Starbucks Cold Brew before putting my boots on just in case of slush. Made my bag heavier, but it was okay. Eric and I listened to the radio for a bit until some guy came on who just monologues at you all the time - not his thing, and not mine either!

When we got to church, there was still plenty of parking across the street. As I thought, the car door went CLONK into a slush accumulation. Luckily, Eric could pull forward a bit so I could go into the nearby parking lot and then cross the street after getting on the clear sidewalk. I waited around outside the sanctuary, saying hey to Joe. When we were allowed to go inside, I said hi to Geoffrey and Sheena, and was respectful of the service. Hiero was there with Jon (who was preaching today), so I asked him if he wanted his birthday gift now or later... of course he chose now, before the Children's Sunday School.

I realized I'd forgotten the birthday card, but I can always give it to him later. He seemed out of it for some reason, but I wouldn't find out why till much later. Then he was trying to get Jon's attention, but he was busy talking to Pastor Dan. When I got back from the handicapped restroom (seeing empty water jugs inside and hoping a grandma didn't have to use it), Hiero had gotten Jon's attention, who told him to say thank you. I said that he already had (when I prompted him), so of course he didn't have to say it again! I did see Uncle Eric and Auntie Brenda at different times, and an uncle said hi to me as well.

Jon had an engaging sermon on Mark and seeds, at least. Even Julie S. agreed with me later on! I said hi to Sam, Auntie Cathy, Auntie Catherine (hug), Auntie Esther (hug), Cordia's mom, Helen C., Joe T., Ivan, Lesley, Dylan / Deb / Declan / Elysse (who thinks it's crazy that Hiero will be her age by next week AND who was eating sugar cubes), Cordia / Amasiah / Julie S. / Denise (who sent a photo of me to Steph) / Julie M., Auntie Susan x2 (Karen Grace's mom and Vivian's mom), Darren L., Martin T., Acer, and others. I could hear Acer swearing in the fellowship hall while talking about DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS, but whatever.

Soon enough, it was just a little group of me, Eric, Cordia, Amasiah, their friend Jeremy, and Acer since everyone else was staying for the Larry and Bella Mori missionary lunch before Missions Fest later in the month. Once we were shushed by Auntie Ada (Benedict's mom) since the Cantonese service was going on, we moved to the stairs, where I noticed a few minutes later that we were blocking the way, so we stood around a little outside the sanctuary in the "hall" until the bench cleared up. We still had to watch our volume, though!

Jeremy insisted he wasn't a weeb just because he went to Japan with some guys - including Acer's cousin - and had to translate for the group, Cordia said she's accepted who she is, and said that Amasiah was morbid like me - SWEET! We talked about the Japan trip, Japanese people KNOWING when you're "foreign" to them even if you're Asian and fluent in the language, Sharon's health woes in the Osoyoos (being literally stuck at home), 80 cents for a medium bottle of milk tea in Japan, the Mori kids Timothy and Tiffany, Molly, people following others on Instagram, pressuring Amasiah to buy some Pokemon figurine on Amazon since she didn't in Hong Kong, my trip, the snow and slush, anime / manga, otaku people, Discord, and lunch plans. Eric and I went upstairs to see if we could get some extra $2 sandwiches (Benedict had five pink tickets from his mom!), but he decided not to bother or distract anyone in the rooms, which I noticed are now labelled. They even upgraded the water cooler from a huge jug to a black self-cleaning one!

A few minutes later at 1:25, Eric asked if I was cool with going to Broadway / Cambie instead. Sure, why not? We could get fast food burgers, so we went to A and W where he kindly paid for my Mama Burger and we shared his fries before going to Pacific Spirit Park and a parking garage on UBC campus. He pressed the crosswalk button for me in the rainy weather, and showed me which building to go into. I went into the Robert Osborne building, connected to the Wi-Fi, and looked for a specific gym on the Evite to no avail, so I had to text Harmony about it. "No, gym" is not really a great answer to "should I meet you on the second floor?" when there are at least three gyms and lots of lockers in the entire place... as I told Steph, I wonder how many "where is this place specifically?" calls and texts they got before the birthday party.

Jon and Harmony were actually early with the kids, probably because they had to sign a waiver and were nominally hosting 15 kids and their parents. I showed Beckett the balls that he had dropped in my bag, but he seemed too out of it even for just waking up. He did look at them with widened eyes, but said nothing. After I met Hiero's friends Emmett and Huxley (what a name!), I heard that Hiero had puked on the gymnastics equipment when Harmony was explaining what had happened in Chinese to her parents! IRRESPONSIBLE AND GROSS! WHY WOULD YOU SUBJECT KIDS TO THAT?! Even Ayler was complaining of feeling sick at the end of everything later! While I was there, Chinese Eric replied to my text about the All-Star Game, saying he'd get back to me later. Why don't you figure it out first, man? I'm not like my ex Mike who wants an almost-instant response! Uncle Joe and Auntie Wing ended up driving me home after the refreshments since Costco closes early on Sundays, so I got home at 6:25. AWESOME!

Random stuff from Mom and Dad, who definitely wanted the tiny tote bag back if Mom dug through my bag for it: Cao Is Starvingbase Chongqing instant noodles, Paldo Jjajangmen Chajang instant noodles, Country Life pure soap, a random floral soap circle, Princess Cruises Lotus Spa shower gel x2, a shoe brush, a Bath Aquatics h2O+ bath bar, and Ontrue roasted seaweed x2 in green tea flavor! It's MINE after I put it in my bag - come on now, WAIT FOR ME TO GET BACK FROM THE WASHROOM AND THEN ASK PERMISSION! Even Beckett has more respect than that! When he dropped his balls in my bag, he just stood by the bag and didn't go through it... I'm sure he doesn't have the words to ask about the balls, but that doesn't matter!

The Tiger Tiger Sukiyaki noodles did come with a lot of packets in the bowl with the handy lid, all crammed inside!

2019 Yearly Recap!

This is the 2019 recap. Fitting for the last day of the year, no?

JANUARY

* Hung out with Vanessa and baby Cassidy pre-surgery at Lansdowne: Fresh Elements bubble tea, good dumplings at the food court, GOLDEN DRAGON SUSHI, and more! She helped me open the ridiculous eyedrops bottles, too! [Jan. 7]

* Had eye cataract surgery at Mount St. Joseph's - yikes! Luckily, I had love and support from my friends, and my parents DID drive me home! [Jan. 10]

* Had a one-day followup appointment at the eye clinic. Thank goodness that Barry was able to drive me! Things looked healthy! [Jan. 11]

* Crashed at Deb and Dylan's for about a week. Declan and Elysse liked me from the start, and it was pretty interesting and funny. ("I have my dad's old phone, Elysse." "Did he die?!" Haha!) Lots of meals and Swiss Chalet plus lamb and ribs and packed lunches! I appreciated their support, for sure! [Jan. 11-16]

* Had my one-week followup appointment at the eye clinic. My eye still looked healthy and there is no need to rush on any new glasses! I got hit up for cash at Vancouver City Centre, but I said NO. He should have fucked off instead! [Jan. 17]

* Had Hiero's birthday party: glow-in-the-dark bowling at Grandview Lanes! Dylan and Deb kindly gave me a ride back, and Mom did NOT have to insert herself into our post-church plans by thanking them for "looking after" me! [Jan. 20]

FEBRUARY

* Got a chance to three-way call with Kate and Pothead Mike right after the hockey game, which the Canucks won 4-3 in a shootout against the Flames! It was pretty good to hear their voices as we chatted about a bunch of things including Ed Kemper and the RCMP tank in Surrey. [Feb. 9]

HAPPY NEW YEAR AND 2019, EVERYONE! Heard from Jana in CANUCK NATION that racist Stuart has three kinds of cancer (liver / colon / something else) and is currently in Langley hospice - karma works in good ways! I went shopping, having to walk to London Drugs because the endless construction and sewer upgrades have made the nearby bus stops non-operational. I went out at 12:30 for shopping purposes at London Drugs, so I walked there. Barry called to see if I was fine with changing our food shopping appointment on the 22nd to 11:30 instead of 11. I went out at 3:10 on a 407 (which luckily picked me up at the sidewalk) for shopping purposes.

I went out at 2 on a 401 to get Rubbermaid Take-Along containers and on-sale pads x2 at London Drugs, getting home at 2:20 on a 407. After my intake session with Rishu at Touchstone at 3 (leaving at 2:20 on a 401), I went shopping at the Dollar Tree / London Drugs / Big Crazy after killing time at the Richmond Public Market beforehand. Today's date is a palindrome: 9/1/19! Beckett crawled over to me to say hi - CUTE! AMERICAN GREETINGS STICKERS, HOT CHOCOLATE, CANDY, SCISSORS, and TEA! Before Paulo dropped by to share the Gizella mango cheesecake, I took a shower and threw some stuff away in the old Nester's Market reusable bag. He showed up at 4; of course I didn't mind if he rested on the couch while talking about Darryl, Nate, Steve's new car, Jeff inviting him out for wings special at 12 Kings tonight (and Jeremy shit-talking him for that), V4F not being an exclusive club, reasonable "no disruptions" rules for meetups, his coming back to servers eventually (he can take all the time he needs), HURTS not being a great first word to use in public for the baby (what will people think?!), what people said about him, and seeing people in Oregon like his cousin. It was good to see him again - he left at 5, which is pretty reasonable. HE TOOK THE MANGO CHEESECAKE WITH HIM?! I immediately took the Dr. Oetker strawberry cheesecake out to thaw in the meantime - BACKUP CHEESECAKE!

I went out at 6:50 on a 401 to Price Smart so I could return the extra pasta and laundry detergent. The customer service girl Hannah was pretty slow because she lost her override privileges. Then I got NEW Dr. Oetker Canada Salted Caramel / Chocolate cheesecakes (NOT at Safeway?! NICE!), NEW on-sale Miss Vickie's Signatures chips (Citrus and Black Peppercorn / Apple Cider Vinaigrette and Shallots), NIVEA Pearly Shines lip balm, (on-sale) Western Family potato and cheddar cheese perogies / melatonin / bean and bacon soup / key lime Greek yogurt / blueberry-pomegranate yogurt / large flocklined rubber gloves / no salt added pieces and stems mushrooms / sliced mushrooms, and UNOPENABLE Winter Creek oysters before returning home at 7:40 on a 407. Got there at 3:45 and discussed poop hygiene, Beckett waking up just then, paper planes, bullet trains, origami (I was just folding along with them and not caring if I was any good), babbling, outer space, fast trains, Myles and the ER, Mom not noticing certain things like the cooking soup overflowing right in front of her and making a great puddle for Beckett to crawl in, Lizst, classical music, minuets, and Beckett chewing on things.

Also talked about Mount Pleasant Park, puzzles, jumping down stairs, Beckett cruising to things aided by the couch, how to properly steer Beckett towards stuff (gentle!), Ayler's music school, bike camp, Seattle's monorail, and reading baby books to Beckett. We had salmon (Omega-3 makes you smarter!), surfboard noodles, papaya, blueberries, apples, spinach, and soup for dinner while Beckett almost got yogurt into his eye from slapping the table when he was done or feeling excited. Mom picked me up at 5 so we could go to Tsim Chai for dinner before the VOS (Vancouver Oratorio Society) choir concert that Dad was doing at Fraserview. BEEF TENDON NOODLES! She had discovered the pocket dial from my phone to Pothead Mike and complained that it had cost her one extra dollar, then wanted to use MY phone to call Steph. She ended up using her own phone, HA HA! I had to explain the concept of a pocket dial to her... and of course vent to Steph while Mom was in my bathroom, ha ha ha. Mom even complained that I didn't have Jon and Steph in my phone or WhatsApp contacts - I don't use WhatsApp at all, but I could for video calls at some point, I guess.

Later, Mom said that "my brother's wife's sister" (just say "Auntie Kwai") is going to be living with them for a couple of months since she lost her low-cost housing in the move from BC to Ontario, and she can't get used to life over there. She also told me redundant stuff about Maria Tam who just died from lung cancer, some missionary friend Winnie who will be staying with them (from July 12) for a week or so after they get back from Toronto on July 4, and how Harmony supposedly wants me to help with the kids when they're away from June 18 for the Oratorio Society concerts with some Hong Kong chorus. Well, I'll wait till Harmony actually says something to me about it first before I commit.

The conductor of the Oratorio Society is named Kemuel, and the associate conductor is named Neville?! One of the youth singers is named Jermyn Wong?! The overall concert was all right, I suppose. Lots of Psalms, lots of music - I saw Auntie Catherine around the washroom when I went. When I looked at the program, I saw Libby's name, so I had to tell Vania about it on Facebook. Mom suspiciously wondered why I was online, and asked if my mobile data was off - yes, of course. I did not help her get online during a lull or the intermission, ha ha ha. I got home at 10:15 or so, which is fine.

Paulo let me know yesterday that he could come over tonight for noodles and ginger ale, which totally worked for me! Definitely no alcohol after last Friday for him, especially not with the stated effects on his body and liver! Today, he said he could come over around 8 unless that was too late - nope! He ended up taking a long nap and came over around 8:30 instead, but that was fine. Before I forgot, I asked him to take care of the wonky stove element wire. Thank goodness that he was able and willing to help! (and also to do his own dishes) I had cued up some relaxing FINAL FANTASY video game music, and we talked about that franchise / EARTHBOUND / MOTHER 3, MEGA MAN, DRAGON QUEST / DRAGON WARRIOR / instrumental music while cooking and eating noodles.

We talked about that smoke-filled ride from Chilliwack to Richmond in 2008 (starting off the summer of hell), Tinder bios, NO revenge porn, private things, Nissin black garlic oil noodles, the Samyang curry chicken terrorist noodles which ALMOST defeated him ("I'M DYING!" - I didn't care if he posted a photo of the bowl to Discord!), cigar / cigarette smoking, vaping, not judging Brian for his addiction or choice, Discord, Holly, Darryl being at a Metric concert, a Portland trip for Darryl and some others tomorrow, not interrupting stuff, Guu, Jeremy, and weird posts on my Facebook newsfeed. He definitely thanked me for having me over, the noodles, Ben and Jerry's peanut butter cookie dough ice cream as a chaser, Canada Dry ginger ale, two Pepto Bismol pills just in case he had an upset stomach later, and Gatorade bottle to take home at 11:30. We should do this again = all he has to do is let me know! At least he's more appreciative than SOME people...

The Canucks played the Kings at 7 tonight, with Quinn Hughes making his NHL debut. The game went to overtime and a shootout, where Hughes slotted in as well. VANCOUVER WON 3-2! I showered today.

Chinese Eric called me at 11:50 to ask if I got his voicemail yesterday. No, since I never check that or the answering machine. He wanted to know if he could come over on Saturday since there's NO WORK and watch a lot of hockey: almost two games' worth, including the Canucks-Stars game. That sounds fine to me! I will have the parking pass, bottled water, the Lindt caramel Easter eggs, Lindt Blueberries and Cream / Strawberries and Cream / Milk and White Spring Edition chocolate truffles, the Russell Stover praline chocolates assortment, the Laura Secord peanut-free chocolate assortment, and the Kit-Kat Senses hazelnut chocolate assortment in a huge Ziploc bag (plus smaller ones as appropriate) ready for him. That is in a Price Smart plastic bag since I also had Ferrero Rocher hazelnut Easter eggs and Easter Egg Oreo cookies for him. Yes, of course we can have Deb's frozen Great Value All-Beef meat lasagna from APPRECIATE A DRAGON DAY for dinner, plus a lot of snacks!

After DOUBLE COFFEE TIME, I went out at 1:50 on a 401 to get two more on-sale 6x126 Scotties Kleenex boxes at London Drugs, since the sale expires tomorrow and I was going to be out anyway. While I was there and waiting in the wrong line because this dude decided to delay everyone by not having a coupon or card available OR payment at the ready, I decided to ask the cashier to open the recalcitrant multivitamin bottle from yesterday, just in case. (I'd brought it along to see if Rachel could open it) The clerk could not, but thankfully believed me that I'd bought it yesterday, so I WAS ABLE TO DO AN EXCHANGE WITHOUT THE RECEIPT! PHEW!

Afterwards, I thankfully managed to catch the 414 on Minoru to see Rachel at The Caring Place (talking a LOT about Sandy / banking / disability plans / boundaries), then I rushed home afterwards! I thought I discovered a REDRUM smell after eating a bowl of pasta with straw mushrooms, Prego pasta sauce, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. IT WAS LAUNDRY TIME AFTER THE FIRST PERIOD, JUST IN CASE! (pun intended, hahaha) I also sent Frances a quick "happy birthday" email for tomorrow while I remembered. The Canucks played the Wings at 4:30 today; the game went to overtime, and lost 3-2 in a SHOOTOUT! Now I feel the Monthly Drain Sleep Experience (MDSE) coming on... ZZZZZ...

I used the MOTHER 3 Debug Room (not with any great success...), and here is a double Bateau glitch, preventing Flint from joining Duster atop the cliff in Chapter 1. Flint can't go anywhere else because the original Bateau (the one not on the Wall Staples ladder) will say that Duster is waiting for him!

Flint has rescued Fuel from his burning shack in Chapter 1. They've made it to Isaac's house at the entrance to Sunshine Forest, and have refused to save their game with the Save Frog. "Oh, I see... You know, you're quite pitch black."

After COFFEE TIME, I left at 7:05 to meet Chrystal at the Broadway London Drugs at 7:30. Of course I had her birthday card, the Lindt Strawberry Excellence chocolate bar, the President's Choice Easter eggs, assorted teas, and the Lindt Ecuador chocolate bar! I was delayed because a group of 200 teens had made a train go out of service because they held the train doors open too much. WHAT THE HELL?! Finally got there at 7:55, and successfully "forced" my stuff on Chrystal, but this is definitely the last one. I have to respect her wishes of not wanting any more of my stuff, after all. We went to Sushi California, where I had a Russian Roulette sushi roll with BANANA PEPPERS (Chrystal cringed as I ate a piece!) and a sushi roll with pumpkin!

I updated her on Ayler wanting to weigh the furniture (the very light stuff), and she updated me on her becoming an aunt again in May. (Emily is pregnant again!) Ethan knows that he will have a brother, and is excited. Chrystal and I talked about her and Vivian wanting to go to New Zealand and Australia, Mike's parents going separately to Hong Kong, my parents moving to Burnaby, and her dad not being ready to leave downtown at 8:55 to meet her at No Frills. I was home at 9:30, thanks to JUST managing to get the 407 at Brighouse! Now it's time to relax and "have fun" with Jimmy after complaining about scavenger hunts and teenage shenanigans, haha.

My sister hates reading, haha. "Yay! Reading!" Steph once followed me around the Richmond library counting down the seconds in the five minutes left to us until Mom said we had to leave!

At 11:10, I called Chrystal at work to see if we could set up a hangout time. Next Friday (the 6th) at 7:30 works for me! Then I went to Richmond Centre at 1 on a 407 to Kam Do Bakery for a slice of black forest cake, since it's National Black Forest Cake Day today. My next stop was Big Orange so I could get some mango bubble tea. Then I went to Payless Shoes so I could get NEW SNEAKERS because my current ones ALWAYS come untied, and it's very annoying! I also went to the dollar store, where I found FINDING NEMO and PEPPA PIG stickers: perfect for Fraser! Also bought a Canada shotglass, a Canucks decal, and a Canadian beaver magnet for souvenir purposes when Jimmy comes to Vancouver sometime. After getting off a 407 at 2:05, I went to the pharmacy next door to get my prescription. I was the youngest customer in there by at least 30 to 35 years!

"You Are Cherry"

You are a tough cookie, and you don't let anyone cross you. You are very determined and talented.
Sometimes it takes a while for your hard work to pay off, and that can be frustrating. Eventually, you get the success you deserve.

You are an obvious leader. People tend to immediately put you in charge, and sometimes you are too obliging when it comes to helping out.
You are a stickler for the rules and doing things the right way. You run a tight ship, and people respect you for it.

From Not Always Right: Here's an ad for Crown Royal whiskey... have you ever seen a grown man cry?

From Pete: "Your retardation is disadvantageous. I propound you all vamoose with great importunity." "Oh, crap! It's a Thesaurus!"

"You Are a Go-Getter"

You are a very ambitious person, and you're constantly adding to your list of goals and dreams.
While you dream big, you never let that satisfy you. You like to get out there and make sure your dreams come true.

You don't lose sight of your larger purpose in life, and you keep working even when things get tough.
Your attitude is almost like magic. When every door closes, you keep knocking until a new one opens.

From Reddit on June 18, 2017: I automatically lose respect for people who use the word "normative" when "normal" would do, but this special snowflake seems to think that "monogonormative" is a real word AND thinks that everyone should be cool with a non-monogamous lifestyle. I tried calling Chinese Eric because I thought he'd called me in the morning, but I guess not! Also heard COPYRIGHT on the radio for the first time in a LONG time, then learned that GOB is from Langley - I didn't know that for some reason! Then he called me while I was in the middle of making spicy beef noodles, which is always okay. *grin* I updated him on most of the stuff which I'd already said in the email, and got away with using the words "dumb fuck" to describe someone, haha. He agreed that I should block Randal after hearing what had happened. Like he and others have said: if the dumb fuck had been nicer, I'd have respected his wishes! I assumed Eric doesn't really care about the notifications; I asked, and he didn't say anything, so this is good. Talked about the advances in technology these days - texting at the dinner table for teens ("gotta update my Facebook status!") is normal, we guess. If you text and drive at the same time, you could cause an accident and kill yourself and others! He also gave me the new cellphone number: only eight digits off!

I figured the cooler weather would be better for his health - not as much heat! - but he still has to bring a jacket to guard against sudden chills. Makes sense to me! Of course, we still think and wish it to be summer, but it is getting colder! I told him that it was cold when we went to see the baby the other day, too. He asked about my weekend plans (his consist of going to visit his grandma), so I told him about the Christon / Jeremy birthday dinner. Yes, he remembered that I'd told him about it already (which is fine), and wanted me to wish them a happy birthday for him. OF COURSE! Seemed he and his mom had just gotten in from grocery shopping, and she noticed my call - Auntie is nice, for sure. Eric asked if I'd had lunch yet: almost! His dad needs to do some work, so has to do a different kind of shopping with him later in the afternoon; that's how it should be, as long as he's not too exhausted later. Told him about how most of the cold medicine stuff was on sale at the store, so of course he reminded me to stock up: already done yesterday, and not in the EXTREME COUPONING sort of way, either! (hahaha) Since his mom was calling him to lunch, I said I'd talk to him next week for sure! Yes, it was nice talking to each other, as usual. :D
