How Much Toilet Paper? The Toilet Paper Calculator For Quarantine / Isolation!

We were so bored in Ceriam's Discord server that we were sharing photos of our computer / tech setups. Stallings said that my handwriting on the latest version of my shopping list was pretty, so I thanked him for the compliment.

Andrew came over at 5:15 today, after sleeping in. Hey, no worries, I told him. He didn't want to bother with the whole parking pass rigmarole, which I admit IS annoying. We discussed my eye surgery last year, Merritt, family updates, Search Everything, Chrome, my computer settings, computer drivers, pooping 187 times a day to use up a LOT of toilet paper, his wanting to know the programs so he can determine what's going on (which I understand), and fixing the tangled phone cord. He was over for about an hour, and left at 6:45 or so, not finding anything inherently wrong which would cause the computer to freeze! All temperatures are in very normal ranges since I'm underutilizing the computer's power. Nope, this is not a heavy-duty gaming rig!

He cut me a break on his fee (as Mike said) when I asked what the damage was, since he didn't really do too much: $20 cash sounds much better than $40, even during these times! I thought he would say that his kid stayed at his place so long that the pandemic happened during a week's extension, but it turned out to be much worse! We talked about lining up to shop at Superstore and other places now, and raising his rates six months ago - I know that a full tank of gas plus three jerry cans in the States is value! Or it was, but now we can't just go down there for cheap gas.

He did notice that the computer mouse stopped momentarily whenever the computer made a musical noise, but that wouldn't cause things to freeze... of course, the computer WOULD freeze shortly AFTER he left. It's not like I could have reproduced the issue on demand! At his request / upon his request, I did record a rather choppy phone video of me flipping off the power switch at the back and then turning on the power button again. Sigh. I did update Eric as well via text while noticing some weird font issues on my computer, possibly related to Andrew deleting WonderShare and some other programs. Yes, Andrew is still anti-Windows 10. Still, he has to keep current...

DOUBLE COFFEE TIME! I was ready with Eric's Christmas 2018 Almond Roca when he called this morning at 8:55, which I dumped into the backseat when he mentioned Christmas as a reminder. I took an extra 30 seconds to talk to the security guard, who says that he doesn't know how long they'll be posted in the apartment lobby - then I apologized to Eric about it, who didn't say anything much beyond stuff about how he knows the building doesn't have sprinklers. (it would automatically detect fire and BURNING to call 911!) We got to church on time, and I settled into a pew with Myles, Brittney, and Naomi... I definitely hugged Pastor Dan hello and said hi to Joe! Mom and Dad stayed for ONLY the baby dedication, OF COURSE! I said hi to Uncle Joe and Auntie Wing Yee, and waved to Peter, Holly, Evander, Everett, Jon, Harmony, Ayler, Hiero, and Beckett.

After service, I said hi to Lesley / Frances C. (her mom and a possible get-together) / Eva (Harrison's mom - he's now FIFTEEN?!) / Margaret K. / Ivan W. (eye surgery and Sunday Dinner) / Auntie Esther / Harmony (eye surgery support) / Pastor Dan (eye surgery and Sharon being out of town) / Auntie Catherine (hug) / Auntie Cathy (hug) / Emily Y. (Joey in town often and non-profit work for Big Brothers) / Deb (eye surgery support) / Pastor Fulton / Lawrence / Derek C. / Adam L. / Billy (I have the same eyes?!) and Stella (Steph's family) / Rosenda / Sophia / Natalie / Jeff / Anita / Uncle Wayne and Auntie Susan. It was good to see people and say hi... Eric didn't even HAVE hockey because of some international thing going on in that arena, so I got a ride home from him, avoiding lunch with my parents! Of course Mom had my stuff before she and Dad go on a cruise to Cuba and visit Steph's family.

I made sure that I talked to Jon and his crew, of course, patting Beckett's head as I said hi to him. Hiero was playing with a "paper plane," and I helped Ayler with a Nanaimo Bar at the snack table. Eric and I listened to a comedy podcast, then got stuck in traffic to the Arthur Laing Bridge, so we should just have braved the backed-up Knight Street Bridge instead! I finally got home at 12:35 when we'd left the church about an hour earlier... the Canucks played the St. Louis Blues at 12 today, and WON 6-1! I'm just glad that I have unfettered time to blog at my own pace now!

Random (Christmas!) stuff from Mom and Dad, inside a Lush Cosmetics bag: A Spirit "Size 14" thin blue and white pair of pants which Mom thought would "fit" me (ha ha ha... she forgets about the NG butt size!), two random pairs of grey knee socks, Project 7 Coconut-Lime gourmet gum, a pound of Carnaby (Shoppers Drug Mart store brand) Halloween candy and gumdrops in a tub with NO expiry date, a pack of three pairs of women's athletic socks, two pairs of T-Max Heat Holders casual socks (FINALLY, SOMETHING POTENTIALLY USEFUL!), a random pair of white "socks" which don't even fit over my feet, and a Disney Princess Lip Smackers tub in "Birthday Princess" flavor.

Edit: Harmony and Jon emailed me an invitation to an early Christmas Day dinner. Sounds good to me right now!

Happy Hockey Hanukkah!

Project 7 sugar-free Gourmet Gum varieties: Coconut-Lime, Wedding Cake, Rainbow Ice, First Kiss, Peppermint Vanilla, Grapefruit Melon, Front Porch Lemonade, and Birthday Cake! Eight of them, with 12 pieces per package!

I spent a few minutes cutting off the care labels on my MARTEX washcloths, then threw away the sticky Western Family vanilla Greek yogurt and Kozy Shack tapioca pudding tubs.

I went out at 10:30 this morning on a 401 and mailed Christmas cards / Vancouver postcards / various stickers to Steph / Lisa / Fraser / Henry / Havarti, Paul Classy, Shiv in Germany, Mandy B. (dazzamre), Julie (julie709), Kitty ([profile] bornwitch / dutch_kitty), Kelli (neonrose5), Mandy B. (dazzamre), Corey (dwcorey), and Jimmy... that cost $16.91! Vancouver trams, Canadian grey wolves, BC Place, Gastown steam clock, RCMP officer on a horse, moose / squirrels / grizzly bears / Bighorn sheep, Science World, aerial map with orca whale / Canadian provinces and territories, Stanley Park totem poles, Harbour Centre and Canada Place, Coal Harbour and Stanley Park, Canadian Rockies grizzly bear, False Creek and Granville Street Bridge, and a downtown Vancouver panorama! I also bought new size 10 Jockey underwear at the Bay... luckily for me, it was on sale! Barry saw me on my way to the bus stop, and honked - I had to go around to the car's window in order to recognize him! I got home at 11:35 on a 407, which is fine. More time to do stuff for me!

From November 17, 2017: Discord, you're supposed to be professional. Hire a damn proofreader if "where / were" and "effect / affect" are too much for you!

"You Make Friends Wisely"

Your friendships are gold to you, and something you take seriously. You prefer quality over quantity when it comes to friends.
When you make friends with someone, you hope to be friends for life. You are loyal to your friends, no matter what goes down.

You expect a lot from friendship, and you're not up for being friends with just anyone. You need to build a relationship first.
Your friends are like family to you... sometimes even closer than family. You can't imagine life without them!

"You Should Be Single"

Just to be clear, this doesn't mean you are bad at relationships. Just the opposite!
You are good at it all - friendship, dating, networking... And you have a blast mixing and mingling.

Maybe you're the married type, but these days, being single is seeming a lot more fun to you.
Whether you're technically married or not, your friends, hobbies, and freedoms mean the world to you.

"You Are Insecure About Your Looks"

You don't necessarily think that you're ugly, but you do consider yourself to be average.
And in this looks-driven world, you just don't think average cuts it anymore. You want to stand out.

You may not feel secure about how you look, but you probably look better than you think.
Ask someone you trust what your best feature is. You may be surprised to find out!

I got an email from Mike about adding him to my LinkedIn network - NO FUCKING WAY! Then I showered tonight after talking to Vanessa about her pregnancy, Langley dim sum, ha-gow, and such via Facebook messages.

Carry A. Nation?!

Shadow never appears on the Blackjack in FINAL FANTASY 6, yet he has a line in the game's content, anyway. Here he is with Setzer, Sabin, Edgar, and Gau. "... Why am I here...? For the money, I guess."
