I called Ayler at 6:35, just in time for my dumpling dinner and their dessert of raspberry / cherry croissants. We talked about going out, Hiero asking if I'd met Walter the dog yet (much better than the LICK MY BUM song), my saying hi to Beckett, Hiero asking about the last time I took a shower (again), the 7 PM cheer around here involving a car alarm, Ayler's reading program, Jon saying that Ayler wanted Beckett to be part of the phone calls too, my dessert of a Lindt truffle, and the next talk time being Tuesday afternoon. At least Ayler seems to like his reading program and the 100% quizzes! The "noise" he heard at the beginning was my Youtube video which I had to pause.

I had fun watching Twitch Sings this morning with Red for his birthday! Song challenges, oh my! I got dryer sheets (Mountain Rain 120 - August 22, 2018), NEW on-sale original I Can't Believe It's Not Butter, lots of on-sale Western Family items (chips x9 / pudding cups x3 / frozen vegetables / ammonia x2 / pure white vinegar / macaroni / fusilli / penne rigate / orzo / Mountain Rain laundry detergent / perogies x2 / dish detergent x3 / roasted garlic chicken tortellini / Swiss 72% dark chocolate), on-sale GOOD TASTE dumplings x3, store brand white grape juice, store brand cranberry-black cherry juice, on-sale Gizella Pastry mango cheesecake, on-sale Samyang Fire Noodles in Curry flavor x2, bananas, on-sale Silk Canada almond milk, store brand ibuprofen, and store brand Key Lime cookie bites! After COFFEE TIME, a German Shaw technician came by at 11:35 AM with a replacement cable box / new PVR box / new remote control / new modem / advice. (calling my HOME number 15 minutes beforehand to see whether I was home... WHAT DO YOU THINK?!) When he left at 12:15 after also setting up my wi-fi network on my cellphone, I took a much-needed shower and did some much-needed laundry!

In the evening, Dylan came by at 6:55 PM to help me buy a new microwave at London Drugs. He did call me first at 6:25 to advise me that he was at Walmart doing some stuff, then would come by here. We talked about his Great Value red curry chips, Declan and Elysse's swimming lessons, NOT defrosting meat in the microwave because it won't cook evenly and will be all frozen in the middle ("SEE?! NO ONE BELIEVES ME!"), his stressful day at work, parking, and the heavy bulky stuff. Came back home at 7:30 after I selected a new black RCA 1.1 cubic foot microwave oven for $99.99 plus tax (so about $117.60) - yes, that was definitely going on my savings account! Good thing I checked my bank balances BEFORE going out - that Panasonic inverter microwave from Robert was at least twice the price from Robert. I know why Mike insisted on it - because of his own image problems!

Then I heard that the St. Louis Blues had won the 2019 Stanley Cup against the nasty Bruins! Makes me feel better about 2011, for sure! I told Paulo to bookmark these microwave oven cooking conversion charts as well. He was at the gym, but came by at 9:35 to pick up the Danby Designers 700-watt microwave. Yes, having a free backup is nice, but I like to pay favors forward when I can. It just rarely happens in two and a half hours! Like I had thanked Dylan, Paulo thanked me - it's a cycle! :D

Paulo let me know yesterday that he could come over tonight for noodles and ginger ale, which totally worked for me! Definitely no alcohol after last Friday for him, especially not with the stated effects on his body and liver! Today, he said he could come over around 8 unless that was too late - nope! He ended up taking a long nap and came over around 8:30 instead, but that was fine. Before I forgot, I asked him to take care of the wonky stove element wire. Thank goodness that he was able and willing to help! (and also to do his own dishes) I had cued up some relaxing FINAL FANTASY video game music, and we talked about that franchise / EARTHBOUND / MOTHER 3, MEGA MAN, DRAGON QUEST / DRAGON WARRIOR / instrumental music while cooking and eating noodles.

We talked about that smoke-filled ride from Chilliwack to Richmond in 2008 (starting off the summer of hell), Tinder bios, NO revenge porn, private things, Nissin black garlic oil noodles, the Samyang curry chicken terrorist noodles which ALMOST defeated him ("I'M DYING!" - I didn't care if he posted a photo of the bowl to Discord!), cigar / cigarette smoking, vaping, not judging Brian for his addiction or choice, Discord, Holly, Darryl being at a Metric concert, a Portland trip for Darryl and some others tomorrow, not interrupting stuff, Guu, Jeremy, and weird posts on my Facebook newsfeed. He definitely thanked me for having me over, the noodles, Ben and Jerry's peanut butter cookie dough ice cream as a chaser, Canada Dry ginger ale, two Pepto Bismol pills just in case he had an upset stomach later, and Gatorade bottle to take home at 11:30. We should do this again = all he has to do is let me know! At least he's more appreciative than SOME people...

After DOUBLE COFFEE TIME, I went out at 1:50 on a 401 to get two more on-sale 6x126 Scotties Kleenex boxes at London Drugs, since the sale expires tomorrow and I was going to be out anyway. While I was there and waiting in the wrong line because this dude decided to delay everyone by not having a coupon or card available OR payment at the ready, I decided to ask the cashier to open the recalcitrant multivitamin bottle from yesterday, just in case. (I'd brought it along to see if Rachel could open it) The clerk could not, but thankfully believed me that I'd bought it yesterday, so I WAS ABLE TO DO AN EXCHANGE WITHOUT THE RECEIPT! PHEW!

Afterwards, I thankfully managed to catch the 414 on Minoru to see Rachel at The Caring Place (talking a LOT about Sandy / banking / disability plans / boundaries), then I rushed home afterwards! I thought I discovered a REDRUM smell after eating a bowl of pasta with straw mushrooms, Prego pasta sauce, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. IT WAS LAUNDRY TIME AFTER THE FIRST PERIOD, JUST IN CASE! (pun intended, hahaha) I also sent Frances a quick "happy birthday" email for tomorrow while I remembered. The Canucks played the Wings at 4:30 today; the game went to overtime, and lost 3-2 in a SHOOTOUT! Now I feel the Monthly Drain Sleep Experience (MDSE) coming on... ZZZZZ...

I used the MOTHER 3 Debug Room (not with any great success...), and here is a double Bateau glitch, preventing Flint from joining Duster atop the cliff in Chapter 1. Flint can't go anywhere else because the original Bateau (the one not on the Wall Staples ladder) will say that Duster is waiting for him!

Flint has rescued Fuel from his burning shack in Chapter 1. They've made it to Isaac's house at the entrance to Sunshine Forest, and have refused to save their game with the Save Frog. "Oh, I see... You know, you're quite pitch black."

I discovered surprise redrum before going to bed last night - UGH! After COFFEE TIME at 10, I went out at 11 to the Broadway Canada Line Station to meet Auntie Catherine at 11:30-ish. It was definitely time to switch over to Grandma's warm purple Alia winter coat! Auntie Catherine saw me at the station and we hugged hello. I had tea and hand-dragged lamb noodles with four pan-fried dumplings. We talked about my nephews, Youtube, the Bible / her belief in Jesus Christ / original sin / human intelligence vs. God intelligence (like God is automatically more intelligent?) / the Bible / some Christian preacher named David Jeremiah / whether I believed in Jesus Christ (I didn't sign up for that during lunch!), my own personal beliefs, Chung Yan, Chung Ming, Mattias and Marcus being 9 and 7 now (what?!), VCEFC, Pastor Dan still being there, the aging population at church, a speaker on Martin Luther King and the Reformation tonight at the church, Winter Conference as something I could do to remind me of what I grew up with (what?!), Kids Night on Halloween (what would I do there?!), and the Book Warehouse. Despite all that religious stuff, I did thank her for the lunch and said no when she asked whether I wanted anything else.

When I left the Book Warehouse after laughing at a book called YOUR SHITTY FAMILY, I bumped into Auntie Cathy! We talked about her Sunday School kids getting older, her and Uncle Hansel downsizing to live in a condo around 12th and Heather, Frances Chan staying in town now to take care of her mom, Darren Chew's wedding, her trip to Hong Kong next week to spend time with her mom, her getting back in December, my nephews, and her being glad that I was staying warm before she went on with her day because it was getting cold. I finally got home at 1:20 on a 407, and checked my mail: I got another Royal Bank debit card, which replaces the temporary debit card (which I've cut up already) and the card where the chip could not be read! Yay! Then I decided to send Ellen a Facebook message about her mom. I was totally fine with her emailing Frances to ask whether she could give me her email address or contact info, which Frances did allow. I understand and respect that, definitely! Also, I ate my egg salad sandwich for National Sandwich Day today.

I got up at 8 AM after going to bed at 1:50 AM, so it was COFFEE TIME BY DEFAULT! Then I discovered something questionable by my reams of Staples paper, so I transferred those into an empty plastic storage tub. Thank goodness it fit, although I probably should have done that a while ago!
