It's Earth Day 2020 today! I also temporarily got QUADRUPLE DIGITS IN MY BANK ACCOUNT again! Hopefully, my spending habits are a little better than they were the LAST time this happened! Also, I won't need to give $900 of my own money for a family trip like the ICBC insurance settlement. Of course, that only lasted for the time it took me to go banking, never mind grocery shopping! I think I'll just continue my usual money habits this time.

After dealing with a stupid Reddit Vancouver troll, I went banking and shopping at 11:25 AM on a 407 with my Asian old lady shopping cart, noting that the 414 shuttle bus would be discontinued next week as per a sign at the bus stop. Briefly peeked into London Drugs, and at least I didn't have to walk all the way around the block from Moore's clothing store to get to Royal Bank this time, unlike LAST payday! I got NEW Iogo cherry yogurt, NEW on-sale Oikos strawberry-raspberry / Zesty lemon-lime Greek yogurts x2, NEW Lysol Click Gel toilet bowl cleaner x3 (SPRING WATERFALL!) which was really easy for me to unwrap and apply, on-sale Earth's Own original almond milk, a NEW on-sale Tao Kae Noi BIG SPICY SEAWEED ROLL box with nine of them, chocolate orange Jaffa Cakes, and Shin Ramyun Black CUP noodles x2.

Also purchased NEW Western Family regular grated Parmesan cheese (green), NEW Western Family light grated Parmesan cheese (yellow), NEW Pulmuone Katsuo Soba Ramen noodles, NEW Ottogi Super-Spicy Yeul Ramen noodles, NEW Ottogi sesame ramen noodles with an egg block, Western Family mixed frozen vegetables AFTER TWO MONTHS, and a LUCKY 24-pack of Purex toilet paper. When I got home at 2:15 on a 407 with a nice friendly understanding bus driver, I paid my Shaw and hydro bills online. after text exchanges with both Erics about life, I went out again at 7:05 and luckily got another 12-pack of Purex double rolls along with some Old Dutch Restaurante salsa con queso (cheese salsa) and a big bag of Western Family mixed frozen vegetables for more peace of mind.

I also got Green Works toilet bowl cleaner x2 since I can just turn the cap and not have to squeeze it in impossible or difficult positions like I have to do with Lysol or Scrubbing Bubbles. London Drugs also has this, and I forgot about this till now. Got home at 8:10 on a 407 and tested out the Starfrit jar opener on the salsa jar. I hit the jar on the counter first to hopefully break the seal, tried opening it a few times, then I made a mistake by tilting the jar.... I think after that spill, I'll postpone a shower and laundry till at least tomorrow!

I had fun watching Twitch Sings this morning with Red for his birthday! Song challenges, oh my! Then I went out at 2:55 to London Drugs to buy is back with on-sale Kleenex 110 three-packs x2 (lotion / ultra-soft), on-sale Ruby Cocoa / white chocolate Kit-Kats x2 for White Chocolate Day, NEW Aero Dark Cherry / Dark Chipotle Truffle bars x2, Aero white chocolate for White Chocolate Day, replacement birthday chocolate x2 for Harmony (Whittaker's Dark Ghana 72% / Lindt 38% Hazelnuts and Caramel), store brand extra-large Ziploc bags, on-sale Glad plastic wrap, Kortari kitchen scissors x2, and Jergens Nourishing Honey moisturizing lotion. Got home at 4, which is great timing since I was on time for the 407. The Canucks played the Avalanche tonight at 7, and WON 6-3 with an empty-net goal... NO MORE LOSING STREAK AND A PLAYOFF SPOT!

No, London Drugs website, I was searching for ibuprofen. What does Always underwear have to do with Advil pills?! At least I don't have to care about my ex-friend Jimmy supposedly having an allergy to ibuprofen anymore!

After COFFEE TIME, I went out at 2:40 on a 401 to a sick Jeremy's for Jon's birthday dinner since Eric could give me a ride home after UBC hockey and helping in the kitchen. I bought on-sale Knorr Sidekicks in Chicken and Broccoli rice and pasta / Homestyle Cheddar / Chicken Fried Rice, some high-visibility fluorescent yellow-green stickers and slap bracelet straps from Dollar Land (FINALLY!), some 100 mL Vaseline lotion in the yellow tube for Ontario from Shoppers Drug Mart, and a small bag of NEW on-sale Takis Outlaw snacks from Buy-Low for the Gwei-Lo at Kingsgate Mall since I got there at 3:20. I managed to get to Jeremy's at 4:35 after cutting through Dude Chilling Park, and Ayler wasn't even there yet to lock me out like he did last year! Eric sent me a text while I was there to ask if I was here yet... crazy! I did give him his Windel Advent calendar and Delecto dark chocolate assortment, and gave Jeremy his Windel Advent calendar too.

The kids got there a while later; Harmony said she was glad I was there already because then I could help her watch Beckett and take him from Jesse later on when he needed a break. Yeah, I let him look at the big screen for a minute - that's not going to get him addicted! Jeremy said there were some unsafe things for babies behind the chairs - yes, I could see wires! Beckett toddled around and wanted to turn off the computer, which Ayler thought was a touchscreen again. I let Beckett touch my fuzzy purple Alia winter coat, go up on the couch (but NOT touch the Japanese painting), hold my hands as he walked around, spout gibberish about the glass table (he can see the carpet!) and point at the lights and new things, and give me all the beer coasters a few times over.

Yes, he could throw those around if he wanted to, but NOT the candles or anything else! NOT SUITABLE PROJECTILES! He was also eventually curious about Jeremy's beard, like Ayler and Hiero had been. Ayler was smart and knew that I would have Advent calendars for them. He has a bonus dragon book since HE is a DRAGON too! The Santa stuffed dog was in my bag later when I got home, but I can give it to Beckett before my trip. Hiero wanted to be Batman or Superman in front of everyone.

I was civil and polite to Raymond when he was in the way and admiring Jeremy's bookshelf while I wanted to get my UTHER book from my bag to show Trish later, and also when I handed him some dishes that needed to be washed. Caught up with Caleb (I saw his uncle William recently!), Becky, Alice, Jeremy, Randal, Jesse, Trish, Lanie, and Christon for sure. (Ayler's math prowess / the Japanese soldier who refused to surrender until his commanding officer said so / my upcoming trip / writing / Jacob's Well / SERVANTS / the Spain honeymoon / buying a new place and moving / a rice cooker / the microwave / Jeremy seeing Steph in the newspaper as a random RCMP officer and confirming with Jon)

I met Jon's friend Mallory, noticed that his friend Jay had a "scent" about him, and "met" his friends Chris and Mallory. Since we all had to leave an hour or so earlier because Jeremy was feeling under the weather (bad timing as he got sick from his co-workers yesterday!), Eric and I actually left at 9 or so! We talked about gluten-free ice cream sandwiches being good for his mom and brother, his staying home at Christmas, FIRE EMBLEM, and a raccoon being outside near the dumpster when we got to my place at 9:30. (it was a milk jug...)

Julie M. saw this sign while out shopping at Boscov's on Black Friday 2018, November 23. "SANTA - he knows when I'm sleeping. He knows when I'm awake. He knows if I've been bad or good. Isn't that kinda creepy?"

After I had DOUBLE COFFEE TIME, the handyman came by at 11:30 to install the brand-new toilet float valve - YES! I don't care if it takes 90 seconds to fully refill the toilet (tank) now, because at least it works! Better than Hester lecturing me about "flush the toilet tenderly and not with a boom boom boom"... whatever THAT means!

Barry picked me up at 12 and we went banking and to Price Smart. I got All-Dressed / Salt and Vinegar / BBQ / Ranch Crispers, on-sale Silk almond milk / chocolate milk, JOY dumplings x5, Dare Foods Limited chocolate cookie chips, on-sale Cottonelle toilet paper x2, Campbell's mushroom soup x5, NEW Miss Vickie's Signatures chips (Hickory Smoked Salt), on-sale Stouffer's microwaveable meals x2 (Chicken Alfredo / Homestyle Pot Roast), and on-sale Western Family frozen vegetables.

Also bought an on-sale Gizella Pastry assorted cheesecake (mango / New York / strawberry / blueberry), Western Family dill pickle chips, Western Family ripple chips, mini Chantilly Choux cream puffs (POPPIES!), NEW Activia strawberry / vanilla / peach yogurts, and NEW on-sale Ben and Jerry's Salted Caramel Almond ice cream. After that, I paid my Shaw and hydro bills online when I got home at 1:15. EARLY! I also managed to go to the dumpster and throw out the light Sunbeam toaster oven which I haven't used for the year I've had it, AND was taking up counter space in the kitchen. Suck on THAT, Hester! :P

Then I went to London Drugs at 7:05 on a 401 to get NEW on-sale Hazelnut M and Ms, on-sale Almond M and Ms, a green tea Kit Kat, NEW Cadbury Curly Wurly chocolate, on-sale Häagen-Dazs coffee ice cream, and 400 Mead index cards before returning home on the same 401 at 7:25. The bus driver said that I'd been fast - yes, I like bus efficiency AND ice cream not melting when it's humid outside! When I got in, my phone "ding=donged" at me - turned out to be Corey on LINE. I can live with that, haha!

After SHOWER TIME, I went to see Rishu at Touchstone at 2 today. Thank goodness that she was understanding about yesterday and was able to get me in today because of a cancellation! I browsed Richmond Public Market for a while - no food was appealing. Went to London Drugs for NEW Dare Foods Cookie Butter cookies, NEW Watermelon and Lime Tictacs Mixers, Arm and Hammer toothpaste, a pack of six grey MARTEX cloths, store brand scour pads, 2000 Flushes with chlorine, Secret socks, and on-sale Swiss Cheese crackers. I also mailed Fraser's birthday card and stickers for $2, but forgot to address the envelope before leaving the house. LUCKILY, I had my notebook handy! I finally got home at 4:40 on a LATE 407!

After DOUBLE COFFEE TIME, I went out at 4:10 on a 407 for Dad's belated 70th birthday dinner at Kwong Chow. I got a text from Jon saying that dinner was at 5:30 and they were at Granville Island (I'd already said I would be at Save-On), so I bought more (on-sale or NEW) Stagg Chili (Dynamite Hot / Southwest Chicken style) and Western Family things since Mom and Dad would be giving me a ride home anyway. Whole mushrooms, mushroom pieces and stems, hot chili con carne, original chili con carne, liquid honey, lemon juice, grated Italian Parmesan cheese, and beef / vegetable / chicken instant noodles! I still managed to get to the restaurant on time: Mom was already there and wanted me to call Jon to see if they'd left home yet. Luckily, I already knew their true whereabouts, and also knew that texting was easier than having to find a place to take a call. I always delete her voicemails, anyway. Too inconvenient...

They got to the restaurant soon enough (but not soon enough for Mom), and we ordered a while after that. Discussed the restaurant's plastic bowls NOT being for the congee (Mom...), my "stealing" an extra plate from the dish pile for Jon (which caused one of the kids to say that stealing is wrong - hahaha), music school being over, plans for tomorrow / this week, Ayler eating the fish head again, Beckett slapping the table and being blocked from the TV screen, Auntie Kwai and dementia (and Dad not wanting to take on another person), Dollarama, Summer Reading Club ("I read to you - but you read the words I don't know!"), Hiero trying some jellyfish, Holly's move impacting her taxes because she's an American citizen ($12,000?!), the growing tomato plants on the balcony, and waterslide adventures today with mint chocolate chip ice cream. We walked to Jon's place, where I learned that Beckett now knows how to climb up onto the couch. Guess I should be extra-vigilant tomorrow!

On the way home, Mom wanted me to intercede with Martin and Rich about Vacation Bible School and getting someone else to administer Ayler's medicine instead of Harmony having to travel a lot to VCEFC or wherever they'll be. Nope, I am not doing that. I'm sure Wai-Mui and the other leaders have more important things to take care of... at least I got home at 7:30 instead of maybe an hour later! Spicy tofu triangles, spicy jellyfish, green beans with beef, red bean soup, tea, kombucha tea, chicken, beef yee mein, veggie congee, fish congee - what a dinner! The usual stuff, but still good! Maybe not after I tried eating 600 grams of tortellini earlier, though...

Random stuff from Mom and Dad: A yellow sweet Korean melon, a random pair of yellow socks with "fun" designs, two Chinese posters of oxen / birds / dragons with stickers and five bookmarks, "washed Mom grapes" in a paper bag (purple grapes), a pack of four 32-page Hilroy exercise books from Staples, six Hilroy 80-page one-subject red and purple notebooks also from Staples, Korean Kwangchun Healthful roasted seaweed x10, and six cans of strawberry Milkis carbonated drinks. (Snoopy and umbrellas!)

I took a shower, did some laundry, and had COFFEE TIME before Eric Ho texted me to cancel the BC Lions-Edmonton Eskimos hangout since he had to to stay at work till 7:30 or so. (he COULD say no, but maybe not!) "Are you coming? Yes or no." "Yeah, I have to stay a bit later, so text you later since I have to take a raincheck on the hangout." Fine, I'll just use my $10 off coupon by myself with no heavy things! I went to London Drugs first at 3:10 to get four DEFINITE big reusable bags (I only had four small ones?!), a dark green MARTEX bath towel, a shopping cart with a cooler bag ($54.99 to $24.99 SALE!), and two more London Naturals foam scour sponges.

Luckily, I was able to sort of tuck the cart under my arm and then waited for the bus home - got there at 4:05 on a 401. Later, I went to Price Smart with my $10 coupon at 5:35 on a 401. I got Halo Top birthday cake ice cream, NEW Sapporo Ichiban Tonkotsu ramen noodles, NEW Maynards Fuzzy Peach popsicles, NEW Maynards Swedish Berry popsicles, NEW Magnum white ice cream bars, NEW Magnum Double Cookies and Cream ice cream bars, NEW Magnum double cherry truffle ice cream bars, NEW Magnum Infinity Chocolate ice cream bars, NEW Magnum double raspberry ice cream bars, NEW Magnum strawberries and cream ice cream bars, BIG on-sale Lysol lemon wipes, Maggi curry noodles, and Olay cooling white strawberry and mint bar soap.

After COFFEE TIME, Eric Ho called to confirm the time he was coming over to watch a lot of hockey, so I had to take a shower! I had the parking pass, bottled water, the Lindt caramel Easter eggs, Lindt Blueberries and Cream / Strawberries and Cream / Milk and White Spring Edition chocolate truffles, the Russell Stover praline chocolates assortment, the Laura Secord peanut-free chocolate assortment, and the Kit-Kat Senses hazelnut chocolate assortment ready for him in a huge Ziploc bag, plus smaller ones as appropriate. That was in a Price Smart plastic bag since I also had Ferrero Rocher hazelnut Easter eggs and Easter Egg Oreo cookies for him. Yes, of course we could have Deb's frozen Great Value All-Beef meat lasagna for dinner, plus a lot of snacks! I also got him to help open my eyedrops and buy me some heavy bottled water (a 24-pack for the rounded-down price of $5) while he was out anyway, and all I had to do was text him my Price Smart card number and address. Phew!

He got here at 3:25 and quickly settled in to watch some Blue Jays baseball. Yes, he definitely thanked me for all the stuff mentioned above! We talked about Korean LEAGUE OF LEGENDS players, always being online, Steph, the Habs and the playoffs, ARE YOU SHUTTING ME?, the Mi Goreng chips (which he thinks are "wicked"), Winnipeg Jets playing the Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators playing the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Canadian dollar falling. Also spoke on Jim Hughson, CBC After Hours (Markstrom / Josh Leivo / Tyler Seguin), Sportspage, Sportsnet Pacific, ownership, excitement, my being able to text him at any time for things like heavy bottled water, Facebook tagging (which he's cool with), my online hockey fan friends (don't remind me of Jimmy...), Quinn Hughes, April Fool's Day (ugh), and opening the living room window. I'm well aware that he thinks my apartment is too warm!

Conversed about the ENDLESS CONSTRUCTION ZONE and closures around here, Google, pay-per-view Canucks games, Hockey Night in Canada / Hockey Day in Canada, the Whitecaps soccer game and the origins of the Southsiders nickname, long-range planning for his birthday (a Thursday - he enjoyed hanging out with me and white Eric last year at Boston Pizza) and Christon's wedding at the Blundell Church / the nearby Kirin, and HOCKEYVILLE. Discussed my new Reddit friends, his lupus making him overheat easily (he's already transitioned to a Toronto Blue Jays T-shirt and wondered if my DRAGON HOODIE was too hot for me - NOPE!), the Korean BBQ chips, the Salsitas, his ranting, bumping into "whoever" (Mike - don't be so vague!), Trudeau, "injury time / stoppage time" in soccer (where they add on time to the game based on injury recovery time DURING the game - can't imagine that in hockey or football), the old days going to Nathan's basement, "ineptitude" being a "big word" for 9:35 at night, his doing the dishes, and his liking to hang out with me. The Canucks played the Stars at 7 tonight... the game went to overtime plus a shootout, and Vancouver won 3-2! At least Eric Ho could go home happy, but he didn't like that the shootout went so long because he has to work tomorrow.

I like these hangouts from the point of view of updated blogging and not having to wait till I go home to start. YAY! Now I just need to relax from constant talking and vagueness!

Most rounds in an NHL shootout: 20?! Most hockey OT periods ever: Eight in the Norwegian League, surpassing the 1936 NHL record of six?!

Also got bananas, Finesse Daily Renewal shampoo and conditioner, on-sale Western Family garbage bags (60 to a box!), Western Family Skyr yogurt x2 (plain and vanilla!), Nongshim Kamja Tang Myun rich potato noodles, NEW Palmolive Soft Touch dish detergent x2 (Almond Milk and Blueberry / Coconut Butter and Orchid), on-sale Uncle Ben's rice x3 (Tomato and Herb / Cilantro and Lime / Southwest Style) and NEW St. Ives Oatmeal and Shea Butter soothing body wash. Heard from Jana in CANUCK NATION that RACIST Stuart has three kinds of cancer (liver / colon / something else) and is currently in Langley hospice - karma works in good ways! I went out at 2:30 on a 401 for shopping purposes. Went to London Drugs for a replacement toothbrush since I had to throw one in the garbage yesterday morning because I couldn't rinse it (NO WATER!), a yellow LifeCandy shower pouf, a big plain yellow envelope, and NEW Vaseline For Men lotion. Also mailed birthday / Valentine's cards and stickers to Fraser and Steph before getting home at 3:10 on a 407.

I hung around Deb and Dylan's today since the paint dude was coming by to finish up whatever he did yesterday, and he left at 10:30. SO EARLY! Managed to use up a lot of time by being on Discord and Reddit mobile, then ate my packed lunch of leftovers from last night: chicken wings and fish! I had a little hiccup when Rachel called at 2:30-ish as we had planned, but that was quickly rectified. Thank goodness that the paint guy had left by then! Earlier, Steph had tried to call my home line - nope, didn't work!

Dylan didn't see me when he came in with his electric bike, so we talked briefly before I went upstairs. Turns out he tried to nap on the couch for a while before Deb and the kids got home. Declan showed me his toys in his little alcove: A Pokemon Beyblade and orange stadium! Never mind the tent! We had a slightly later dinner: rotini pasta with meatballs, tomato sauce, chicken cordon bleu, and Sleeman's Honey Brown Lager! I went upstairs after that, then Elysse came up later to convince me to find Declan since they were playing tag or something - sure, let's go find him! He ended up being under the kitchen table, not in the closets or bathroom. At least it seems they like me!

The EcoClean cleaners came today at 10 AM, as advertised, and I had to give them the parking pass and pick it up later when they left at 11:35. They spoke in Spanish most of the time (but did know English) and cleaned a whole lot of things and vacuumed, including my microwave AND sink! The three ladies even dusted my book and CD displays! Of course I gave them a $10 cash tip - NOT $5 as Mom was saying, since that seemed slightly low... even $10 seemed low for three people, but I'll know for next time if there is one! Yes, Hester's husband Ni saw them on the way in as he was trying to fix the recalcitrant front door lock, but I didn't care about that.

It's International Coffee Day today, so I had to have COFFEE TIME! :D

I showered and did laundry today. The Canucks played the Coyotes at 7 in the seventh and LAST game of their 2018-2019 training camp at KELOWNA's Prospera Place, and lost 4-1. What a bad preseason record... 1-6!

From Not Always Right: Some mornings, it's best just to fill the sink with COFFEE, dunk your head in it, and suck! What a coincidence - it's National Coffee Day today! :D

After COFFEE TIME, I went out at 2 on a 414 for my appointment with Rachel at The Caring Place. Then I went to get 48 on-sale chewable Pepto-Bismol tablets at London Drugs. The pharmacy next door has a bottle of 24 for $6.99, but the sale price of $8.49 at London Drugs is better, especially since the pharmacy doesn't have the bigger size. I also got on-sale store brand plastic wrap, 400 Mead index cards, and on-sale Dawn dish detergent before getting home at 3:55 on a 407.

I managed to take out the old "computer" chair (lots of exposed foam inside) and throw it in the dumpster. Not sorry, Hester! I have a kitchen chair as backup! It's my minor act of rebellion, muhahahaha!

After COFFEE TIME, I left at 2 to catch the C94 for my appointment with Rachel at The Caring Place. Afterwards, I took the 410 to Big Crazy so I could spend $35 on Knorr (extra) hot and sour soup x5 which expires in late January 2019, a slightly smaller 30-centimeter silver metal colander to replace the too-big metallic one from March 2018, a matching metallic silver mixing bowl to replace the pink plastic bowl with pink colander from Mom in April 2014, a premium Shin Ramyun Black spicy Pot-Au-Feu noodle pack, and Sapporo Ichiban chicken noodles. Nothing that would melt in the hot weather - I also just managed to get the 410 after leaving the store - NICE! Then when I got home at 4:15 on a 401 (just managing to get the bus), I washed the bowls and put rubbing alcohol in them to take the stickers off after throwing away the old bowl and colander in the dumpster.

After MORE COFFEE TIME, I left just before 4:30 to make it to Wo's: A family dinner for Dad's 69th birthday! Of course I was the first one there! (and I saw Mr. Creep on the bus AGAIN...) Harmony set a new record in convincing the Wo's owner to turn off the TV, which was tuned to the Cartoon Network: SEVEN MINUTES! We talked about strata meetings, moving on Thursday, Burnaby, the lards' car leaking oil, Uncle William, plans for this week, the farmer's market, snacks, dessert, finding my Fit-Overs (which I just found within two minutes of looking for them), Beckett sleeping, Ayler and Hiero asking about candy and the time, me being drunk / red-faced / snorty / giggly on the beer which Jon bought, and Quality Street chocolates. I got home at 8 on a 407, no thanks to just missing the previous 407 at Brighouse! I woke up to NO WATER PRESSURE AT ALL at 7:30 AM, with NO NOTICES about it! NOT ACCEPTABLE! I very politely called Hester at 8:45 AM, who said that it was an emergency for the whole building, and that it should be fixed then. I tested it out using both sinks and the toilet, and it seemed that way... PHEW! After I had COFFEE TIME, Barry picked me up at 11:50 and we went banking and to Price Smart. I bought NEW Bassili's Best shepherd's pie which expires in 2020, NEW Mott's Clamato Caesar Pickled Bean Caesar tomato juice, on-sale V8 tomato juice (CHILDHOOD MEMORIES!), an on-sale beef teriyaki bowl which expires tomorrow (hey, at least they had the good sense to discount it, unlike with the spicy pig ears last week...), Shin Ramyun BLACK noodles, Vedan spicy mushroom noodles, on-sale Ben & Jerry's ice cream x6 (Cherry Garcia / Chocolate Fudge Brownie / Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough / Chocolate Therapy / If I Had 1,000,000 Flavors / Half-Baked), CLR for the kitchen (beats going to the bathroom for it every single time...), and JOY dumplings x4.

Also bought Nongshim Korean claypot miso ramyun noodles, on-sale NEW Lemon-Lime Gatorade x6, on-sale Western Family perogies x2 (potatoes and cottage cheese / potatoes and cheddar cheese), NEW on-sale Western Family vanilla Greek yogurt, on-sale Kozy Shack tapioca pudding, NEW Late July mild Green Mojo tortilla chips, on-sale Silk almond milk, NEW Hua Diao Chinese cooking wine noodle soup, replacement Club House coarse grind black pepper (I'm not sure how old the current one is...), NEW Sichuan Bahia broad vermicelli chili oil noodles, NEW Shirakiku Goku-Uma ramen noodles, and more! I got that guy Ray as my cashier - nice! After that, I paid my Shaw bill online at home.

Hester and the management came by for a suite inspection at 9:55 this morning, saying I needed to wash my kitchen sink and my bathroom sink, wash the bathtub, and move my mop and bucket from the balcony. Yeah, I don't think any of those are going to be done with a lot of competency or urgency! :P

After (MORE) COFFEE TIME at 1:10, I left at 2:40 to make it to Jon's by 3:30. I just missed the 49, so had to wait for the next one. Ayler and Hiero were supposed to be sleeping before snacktime and the SERVANTS dinner, but they had their eyes open the entire time I was in the room. Then they started fighting over the stuffed monkeys before I saw Hiero fall - but something cushioned it, thank goodness. They tried jumping on the bed, taking my necklace, putting the monkey "far away so no one could get it," and then I watched them as they ate pomelo / apple / pomegranate while Jon was teaching Pius. Hiero did not complain about the violin noise this week, at least!

I had an orange while smelling the caramelizing onions and discussing French onion soup / leap years / time / whether it was completely dark outside yet / not believing me when I said I was going to the bathroom / the weather next week / Jon giving me back my U2 JOSHUA TREE CD / school days and holidays / dropping me off at Langara Skytrain Station on the way to pick up Harmony before dinner. At least Jon gave me his arm to hold while going down that treacherous hard-to-see step! (I did try to go through the alleyway earlier, but their landlord had closed the back gate) After they dropped me off at 5:30 (and discussed Nathan), I mailed Corey's extra birthday card and Christmas card at London Drugs before going home at 6:20 on a 407. I had to wait for a while in line, otherwise I'd have been home at 6! Jon thanked me for coming by, which is good. I sent Nathan a FB message when I got home, as well as emailing Eric.

It'll be the shit cake card from London Drugs, haha.

Barry picked me up at 11:50 after COFFEE TIME, and we went banking before going to Price Smart. My Royal Bank debit card's chip could not be read, so I had to go into the branch to figure things out - good thing there was no lineup at all! Turns out I get a temporary debit card until I can get a new one in the mail. I bought on-sale Lindt gingerbread truffles for Lena, on-sale black cherry Strepsils cough drops, on-sale Tylenol cough and cold medicine, on-sale Total Cold Neo Citran, on-sale Lysol Bathroom Bleach toilet cleaner x2, on-sale store brand Mountain Rain laundry detergent, on-sale 2000 Flushes (stick it where the sun don't shine, apartment management!), on-sale Campbell's Soup x8 (trying to stock up slowly for winter on mushroom soup x2 / clam chowder / chicken noodle soup / Lemon Chicken Orzo / Spicy Vegetable Turkey / Fiesta Vegetable / Curried Cauliflower Lentil...), on-sale Dawn dish detergent (Fuji Cherry!), and grape Gatorade x6. Also bought on-sale store brand liquid honey (one kilogram!), on-sale store brand lemon juice (almost one litre!), Good Taste Dumplings x3 (Pork and Vegetable / Beef and Vegetable / Cabbage and Chicken), Kettle Brand chips x2 (Himalayan Salt and Chili Lime), Cream of Chicken Lipton soup, on-sale OXO beef bouillon, bottled water, on-sale Always Mi Goreng noodles x3 (Thai Tom Yam / Kari Curry / Sambal Udang), and more Scotties Kleenex x6. After a few attempts, I finally got through to Dr. Ruby's office at 10:15 to make an appointment. I didn't care if they were kinda fully booked today. I got one at 3:20, so that worked for me after I took a shower. Wilf Charest added me via my Fearsome Canucks Fans group, too! Since I just managed to get the 407 at 2:45, I was at Lansdowne extra early, so I hit up the Dollar Tree for Tasty Kitchen chicken noodle soup x5. Then I went to Big Crazy for some Paldo Rabokki Korean spicy noodles, Penang Red Curry noodles, and Knorr extra hot and soup mixes x2. At Dr. Ruby's office, she said I should get Dimetapp DM (which the store was out of), do some saltwater gargling (which you can't overdose on!), and white minty Halls.

After that, I went to London Drugs to do just that. (the white minty Halls was on sale!) The pharmacist helped me find some Benylin which expires in February 2019. On the way home on the 407, some entitled old man said that I was hitting him in the face with my bag, so I spoke up and said that he was an entitled old man. No, the bus announcements are NOT for me, and the bus driver was telling some other girl to put her suitcase up in the bag area instead! If my bag was really in his face (it was KNEE-HEIGHT at best), then I could have "accidentally" hit him with my cans of soup! I finally got home at 5:15 - PHEW! Then I banned a couple of people from Fearsome because they thought I was on an admin power trip. Not even!

I went shopping at 1:10 on a 407, going to Price Smart to get some frozen Sara Lee strawberry cheesecake as my birthday cake / treat to myself, on-sale Zest Ocean Breeze body wash (I'm re-banning Lever 2000 body wash from my apartment), and a little bottle of mango Ramune on Lena's recommendation. Then I went to London Drugs to get 800 index cards (especially since the sale expired TODAY!), black Secret thin socks, and a purple Life Candy shower puff. I got home at 2:40 on another 407, which wasn't too bad!

After COFFEE TIME, I left at 4:40 to get to Jeremy's for white Eric's birthday dinner in the HOT weather! I managed to get a 99 bus that dropped me right in front of Kingsgate Mall, but the transit security officer said that I should wait two seconds for the bus to stop. Yeah, I know that, but you're directly in my way! I bought a Western Family Swiss 72% dark chocolate bar for Eric (because anything from home would probably have MELTED on the way to Jeremy's), some on-sale Vancouver Only lemon dish detergent, a Lever 2000 Pure Rain body wash (which seems more easily openable right now, so I'm using it immediately), and some Old Spice Denali body wash at Buy-Low for the Gwei Lo before cutting through Dude Chilling Park to get to Jeremy's. To my mild surprise, dinner was already in progress after Eric joked about whether I really wanted to come in. No, I want to sweat my ass off all evening instead! I gave Eric his birthday card and chocolate bar, and told him that Steph said hi and HAPPY BIRTHDAY, too!

Ayler and Hiero were there, and acknowledged my presence by saying that I was sitting diagonally from them. We had fish tacos, fish sauce, coleslaw, a simple tomato salad, and hibiscus juice. It was fine, and it was only $8 for me. Randal was there, but I barely acknowledged him. I saw white Eric #2, which was a surprise. I played for a bit with Hiero, who wanted to steer the blue car through "traffic" and went over the barrier of Christon's foot. We watched Japanese babymetal music videos by きゃりーぱみゅぱみゅ (thanks to Stanley - who's getting married on November 18), some Albert Ayler, and even a bit of a TedTalk thanks to Hiero pressing a bunch of computer keys. Ayler said that he can walk to kindergarten some of the days, which makes sense!

The kids went home early after excitedly watering the plants. Jeremy asked me if I knew what a literal douche (the stuff which is sold in stores) was when I got back from the bathroom - I said that Christon would have to look it up himself! Then we watched Kendrick Lamar (thanks to Stanley) and Tyler the Creator before Jon thought we could all go to Twelve Kings for a pint. Eric and I just opted to go home afterwards, which was great for me and my alone time! I got home at 8:15 after discussing Whitney Houston / Erykah Badu / my tentative sushi plans with Eric.

I went out at 5:10 on a 407 to London Drugs for a NEW Sterilite Touch-Top kitchen garbage can since the old stainless steel garbage can (February 13, 2015) wouldn't open (even though I'd just opened it to take the garbage bag OUT...), a Modella Fashion Forever bag (from $16.99 down to $5!), and a NEW Egyptian Cotton bath towel to replace the one which the delivery guys used to wipe the back of the fridge, then left on the bush outside the apartment complex (?!) - then I got home at 5:40.
