I found a dead mouse after trying to take another snow photo by my window last night, so spent time frantically texting people like Barry / Deb / Paulo. No answer from Barry, Deb said I should call my manager (so I said that Hester is notoriously difficult about it being "my job" even though they provide glue traps), and Paulo was still at work. He did come by at 9:30 to help with the removal, using tissues before doing anything with rubber gloves, and I got him to just take it outside in the plastic bag in the cold weather. I thanked him when he left - we talked briefly about the server and the -6 / -12 weather, too.

9/19/19 is also a palindrome date! It's Talk Like A Pirate Day today! Since Rishu wanted to change our appointment to a phone call because she's sick (which worked for the hockey schedule and my not rushing to make it home in time), I went out at 12:30 on a 401 and went to Boston Pizza to redeem my free birthday dessert offer.

NEW Bourbon BBQ Chicken pizza and Chocolate Explosion Cheesecake it was! I got home at 2:35 on a 401, thanks to just missing an early 407. Luke, Violet Faith, Flaps, and Jimbo said no to Saturday. Rishu called at 4:25 from a blocked number, and that went fine.


NEW Bourbon BBQ Chicken pizza: House-made Bourbon BBQ Sauce, BBQ chicken, balsamic-roasted red onions, pizza mozzarella, cheddar cheese, and bacon, finished with a buttermilk ranch drizzle!




Free birthday dessert: Chocolate Explosion Cheesecake! I was Asian about it and ordered the most expensive thing on the menu. Creamy chocolate mousse with chunks of cheesecake, caramel, toffee, pecans, and almonds on a chocolate crust.

Just in time for a daily update! Before Paulo came over to pick up his stuff four minutes ago, I took a shower today. I gave Paulo his All-Bran Buds portion in a Rubbermaid microwaveable container (plus the packaging for that), one pack of Kwangchun Healthful roasted seaweed, some Mala Samyang noodles, regular Samyang Fire noodles, MyKuali spicy prawn Penang noodles, MyKuali spicy white curry Penang noodles, MyKuali Red Tom Yum Goong noodles, Sapporo Ichiban Tonkotsu ramen noodles, Vedan Bah Kut tea noodles, Vedan mushroom and artificial cuttlefish noodles, Vedan spicy Korean kimchi noodles, Vedan spicy mushroom noodles, Samyang Carbo Cheese noodles, Samyang Spicy Cheese noodles, and Paldo Korean Bul Jjamppong noodles - all in the LOQI reusable bag with cats on it that Jon and Harmony gave me for Christmas last year. I have tested it out; it's just not as roomy as the ones from London Drugs!

He was pretty excited, dancing around like a little kid! Yes, we both forgot about opening the Winter Creek oyster jar until he'd left, but I was luckily able to grab him before he had exited the building! He apologized for the lateness of the intrusion, but it's fine. LUCKILY, it was BEFORE midnight and I wasn't talking to Mike at the time. He also thought some MOTHER 3 music was some water boiling - if it sounds like THAT, then you got problems! It's the high notes of the jukebox!

I noticed that Gemma Wright unfriended me on Facebook. Hahaha! She always said she'd post spider pics in her comments, but that doesn't work if THE VERY FIRST THING you see is a tarantula! She thinks that spiders helped her get over her fear - whatever! Kate agrees with me!

I also noticed that Facebook can't find either Dustin's or Geoff's accounts - OH MAN! :(

I went to the eye clinic at 9:45 on a 401 (which I got just in time) for the six-week followup today at 10:45 after COFFEE TIME (20/30 vision is a good improvement even if I can't read fine print), then had lunch at Yaohan before seeing Rachel at the Caring Place for the last time. At Brighouse, I encountered a rude wheelchair old man idiot who assumed I was cutting him off at the fare gates - nope, I'm just faster than you, and other people also have places to go! He should also watch what he says and isn't the only person entitled to the fare gates. Any empathy I might have had for him having only one leg was just drained in that moment.

Dr. Wise recommended cheap reading glasses for now since my eyes still look healthy, and wants me to come back in six months on January 3. I went to Yaohan and killed the memory dragon of messaging people on the 6 Davie / 6 Downtown bus routes. Got beef internal noodles with wonton for lunch, and Lays lime chips / Lays cucumber chips in big bags for Rachel, Campbell's mushroom soup x2, a NEW on-sale Double-Ridged Lays chips package in Spicy Chicken and BBQ Pork (two each), MyKuali Penang Red Tom Yum Goong noodles, and NEW MyKuali spicy prawn noodles at Osaka Supermarket.

After the wrap-up session, I briefly went to Shoppers to buy on-sale Ben and Jerry's IF I HAD A MILLION FLAVORS and PEANUT BUTTER HALF-BAKED ice cream for Creative Ice Cream Flavor Day on July 1 coming up! No more frozen items until I eat some - the freezer can't fit anything else except air molecules! Got home at 4:25 on a 407, which is totally fine. Then I took a shower and discovered that Jon had made a reservation under his name at the Lion's Den for Randal's birthday on Sunday at 6. Nice!
