Tatiana's Wanderings

I had a banana-chocolate muffin, cut strawberries, and coffee for breakfast. Lunch was some leftovers including butter chicken. Dinner: Thai eggplant curry with peppers and bamboo, rice, naan bread, plus Tillamook Malted Moo ice cream! We watched some stuff on Netflix and generally had a chill evening with crafts and reading.

Frying Pan Lake at Waimangu (New Zealand) is one of the world’s largest hot pools: 38,000 square metres in area, and fed by numerous acid springs. The lake fills part of a crater formed by the 1886 Tarawera eruption. It has a flat floor, mainly about 6 metres deep, although some vents are up to 20 metres deep. After I had COFFEE TIME, Barry picked me up at 12:05 and we went banking and to Price Smart. He actually got Hester's husband Ni on the phone, too! I got on-sale Silk almond milk, duck gizzard livers so I can horrify Mike later, $1 on-sale Mott's Clamato Verde x3, limited-edition Olympic grilled pineapple Greek yogurt, on-sale GOOD TASTE dumplings x5 (Beef and Vegetable, Cabbage and Chicken, Cabbage and Pork, Pork and Chive, Pork and Celery), the ONLY non-sticky jar of preserved vegetables on the shelf, Philadelphia Cream Cheese jalapeno dip, and on-sale Tostitos Scoops chips.

Also purchased on-sale steel wool, Vileda sponges, NEW on-sale Smartfood sour cream and onion popcorn, on-sale Uncle Ben's Bistro rice x3, Olympic honey yogurt, two Marie Callender microwave meals (Three-Meat Marinara / Creamy Chicken Alfredo), on-sale Cottonelle toilet paper, Natural Clean bleach, on-sale Oasis juice x4, straw mushrooms x5, mushroom soup x2, (Koka chicken / Paldo Gomtang beef) noodles, and on-sale Kozy Shack tapioca pudding. After I got home at 1:40, I paid my Shaw bill online at home. Then I went to London Drugs at 5:55 on a 407 to mail Julie's stuff to her as long as it's still payday. I also bought store brand multivitamins, 24 mousetraps (clearing out the store's inventory), on-sale Old Dutch Gourmet Pulled Pork Wrap / Sour Cream and Green Onion and Bacon chips, and two clear Sterilite storage boxes! Got home at 6:35 to eat some dinner.

I showered and did laundry today. The repairman came by at 1:40 to install a new stove fan switch, and confirmed that the stove pans were too icky to be cleaned normally. I guess I will have to replace them! I saw Hester by the elevator and after being invited into the outdoor storage room (which is indeed full of junk, including London Drugs shopping carts), she gave me one which is too small, then eventually took back a newer bigger one because my stove pan wasn't broken. The newer one was shinier on the inside AND outside, but she said it was rusty and kind of bent. She thanked me for understanding, and gave me a tip when I asked: that she'd bought them at the Richmond Public Market at a haircut shop (?!) on the second floor. Okay then, I guess I'm going there at some point since I don't exactly trust Easy-Off with that stove pan! (but I might buy it just in case) Not going today, though - that was way too much cheery social interaction for me as an introvert!
