I showered and then had to do MORE laundry on the third floor because my grey sweatshirt somehow got damp from laying it on the carpet!

Edit at 12:10 AM - Paulo came over at 11:55, and has already found TWO dead mice on glue traps in the corner! No wonder I smelled something decomposing last week! I also got him to replace my old shower curtain from 2010 or so, since it had mold. We talked about the Canadian coronavirus cases, and there are a lot in Quebec and Ontario! There are definitely ten cases at Richmond Hospital, from what he's been told! Everything has indeed been shut down - not even the families can visit because they'll go outside and pick up germs, which won't be very good for those patients! He recommended I replace my Splashee Softee taupe bath mat since the tread seems to be gone, and I might slip. Probably a good idea for the future! I should have gotten him to check the other corner, but things seem okay right now. I definitely had rubber gloves, Kleenex, plastic bags, and a garbage bag at the ready! When he left just now, I thanked him.

Frances rescheduled on me very early this morning at 7:30 AM for tonight because her car got hit, which is actually fine. I need time for redrum to make its way OUT! I did go out way later at 3:30 to get some on-sale Webber Naturals 5 mg melatonin gummies at London Drugs. $5 off a bottle! Ended up buying NEW Kracks Chips x4 tubes (sour cream and onion / barbecue / original / wasabi), on-sale Webber Naturals 5 mg melatonin gummies, on-sale Dove lavender and rosemary Nourishing Secrets shampoo and conditioner, on-sale Webber Naturals Wild Alaskan and fish oil capsules, Lindt chocolate hazelnut spread in a small 200g jar, and El Sabroso Salsitas chips! Got home at 4:25 on a 407, which meant I used Shaw Open for 20 minutes at the bus stop.

Hester's husband Ni interrupted me at 1:20 today to investigate my lamp fixture / light bulb cover note. "No safety concern" and "that's the one that came with the building?" and "I have to think"! AIYA! I also had to be an adult (again) since Auntie Vonnie texted me a couple days ago to say the building insurance had expired, so I let Dad know instead. After a bunch of texts, I finally had to go to TXL in person (at least I know where it is?) today and sign a form, telling Sheryl to just bill my dad's credit card instead since they have the number for that. I left at 2:10 on a 414.

Went to Kwong Chow for some Chinese mushroom / bok choy noodle soup afterwards since I'd only had a strawberry chiffon doughnut at Tim Horton's beforehand, figuring I had just enough time between 3 buses to do so. Then some literal children and their knapsacks blocked my view of the intersection so I couldn't see which bus was coming - I only JUST managed to get the Marine Drive station bus! FINALLY made plans with Frances via text for next Monday, the 17th, at the Oakridge White Spot. "I can pick exactly 6!" she said... dude, you're actively making plans with another person?!

At the station, I went to T&T and got Samyang noodles x3 (regular fire noodles / 2X Spicy noodles / black bean noodles), then went to London Drugs on a 401 since I'd just missed the 407. I got a NEW white Evercare delicates laundry bag WITH A ZIPPER (I opened another package in the store to see if it had a zipper) from Aisle 4, then almost lost it because some lady stepped on it in the lineup for the cash register. The Asian lady in front of me thought the cashier was also Asian (so did I), so spoke Cantonese to her as she bought 15 bottles of on-sale Sunkist Vitamin C and three Arm and Hammer toothpaste tubes.

Turns out the cashier is actually Indonesian and doesn't even know any Cantonese, although she attempted Mandarin. The lady gave me a thumbs-up after I told her that the clerk didn't know any Chinese! The lady BEHIND ME wanted to go ahead of me, but NO - I was AHEAD of her! Then she thought I was stealing from the store because I had a huge reusable bag - I told her off! I finally got home at 6:15 on a 407! ENOUGH OF BEING AN ADULT! I also used Paulo as a reminder service, and complained about things to Mike.

After COFFEE TIME, I left at 3:05 on a 401 for my appointment with Dr. Ruby (which was not exactly informative - but I did get my prescription renewed), but I had to hurry back after wasting time at the Dollar Tree and Big Crazy after not being able to find Advent calendars or dumplings! I did go to Shoppers for on-sale Jamison Vitamin D3 gummies (almost half-price!), NEW Lindt Milk Mint / Hazelnut truffles, NEW Life brand echinacea x120, NEW Delecto assorted dark chocolates in a purple box, NEW Cheetos Snowflakes, and NEW Hot Cocoa Hershey's Kisses! The Canucks played Nashville today at 5, and won 6-3! FIVE POWER PLAY GOALS!

Also got ALL the on-sale Knorr Sidekicks flavors x22 for hopeful food photo purposes (including NEW Garlic Fettuccine Alfredo), NEW Samyang noodles dumplings x4 (Kimchi / Seafood / Vegetable / Chives), on-sale GOING BANANAS chips snacks, NEW Mentos gum x3 (Cinnamint red / Fresh Mint blue / Spearmint green), Nissin black garlic oil noodles, NEW Western Family peanuts x4 of 400g (Chili and Lime / Sea Salt / Sea Salt and Pepper / Jalapeno), GOOD TASTE Pork and Celery dumplings since the store finally had them after a couple of months, and a NEW Softsoap Aquarium refill. After that, I paid my Shaw bill online when I got home at 1:30. Barry and I will set up an appointment when I get back in January OR before I leave in December, probably!

I went to London Drugs again at 12:50 on a 401 to get Activia raspberry yogurt, on-sale Old Dutch ketchup chips x2, a mailing box, NEW on-sale Dare birthday cake cookie chips, an on-sale 20-piece Cambridge cutlery set (Cambridge Remi Frost) and a large red metallic American Greetings gift bag for Christon and Alice's wedding on the 31st, and a book called 101 THINGS TO DO WITH BEER (YUM!) for Jeremy in October. Got home at 1:30 on a 407 when it had started raining, which is fine by me.

After DOUBLE COFFEE TIME, I left at 11:30 for my 1 PM appointment at the Burrard eye clinic. Damn construction and detours! I got there at 12:40 no thanks to a crowded 6 Davie bus with one stroller / two walkers / old people, but STILL had to wait an hour to be seen for five minutes because it was very busy! Since they moved locations three weeks ago according to Elizabeth the receptionist (from 503 to 510), I took a couple of updated business cards while I was waiting. Of course I had to use their bathrooms when my appointment was done!

Then on the 6 Downtown going the other way (also crammed with strollers and walkers), I noted that the Great American Cheesesteak place on Davie (which I'd told Jimmy about on one of the last times I bused to the clinic) seemed to be closed. I sarcastically thanked a black lady with glasses for blocking the bus aisle, making it almost impossible for people to squeeze past her. She mentioned that she had a walker; yes, but MOST people still manage to be courteous and not block the fucking aisle with their clutter, detritus, and impediments!

On the way home, I remembered that I wanted to stop by Big Crazy sometime, so I got off at Lansdowne instead of Brighouse. I bought non-expired Knorr hot and sour soup mixes x8, Paldo spicy cheese Ramyun noodle packs x2, and a proper bowl for my future DUMPLING SAUCE concoctions. (they were selling mixes that expired on March 26 and will expire on May 11...) After just managing to catch the 410, I also bought Doritos Dinamita tortilla snacks in Nacho Picoso and Chili Limon flavors at Shoppers when I stopped by Richmond Centre to use THEIR wi-fi. Finally got home at 4 on a 401 to ROIMU for the first time this year, after stopping by the hospital across the street to use THEIR bathroom since I didn't trust the walking time because of the aforementioned 24/7 construction zone and detours.

After COFFEE TIME, I discovered a TOILET TANK EMERGENCY! It wouldn't flush, which was NOT ideal because Chinese Eric is coming over tomorrow! Besides, I really didn't want to go across the street every time I needed to pee! So I bit the bullet and called Hester a few minutes later since I needed to leave at 2, who scolded me for not being perfectly polite and composed on the phone AND for not writing a note. Fuck off - I have to deal with YOUR limited English, and I don't have TIME to write a note to have you deal with the problem after the weekend! Eventually, I managed to communicate that the toilet flush wasn't working, and Ni came by within ten minutes and actually fixed the issues. In that time, Brian had already offered to come over - THIS is what my new friends do for me?! WOW! :D

I left at 2 on a 414 to see Rachel at the Caring Place. Then I went to Shoppers to buy a Stouffer's Saute Sensations Country Beef Pot Roast microwaveable meal, a President's Choice meat lasagna for a future hangout which is not tomorrow afternoon (expires on December 12), Ben and Jerry's Peanut Butter Cookie Dough / Chocolate Milk and Cookies ice cream, Breyers Delights ice cream in Vanilla Cupcake plus Creamy Chocolate, and President's Choice mango ice cream! Should be yummy!

After I FINALLY got a 401 after FOUR 408 Ironwood buses in a row and a 407 at Brighouse after waiting since 4:10, I went to the pharmacy next door to see if I could get my eyedrops prescription filled before they closed. Adam could do it right then, but I didn't have time to chat or to wait for the previous chatty customer to finish because I had frozen things in my bag, so I was in a rush by default! The instructions are the same, anyway. I got home at 4:45 and FINALLY shoved everything into the freezer, almost before the items started really melting! Good thing I can probably get Chinese Eric to help with opening the eyedrops tomorrow if I remember... so I put them on the table with the low-tech blue guestbook and everything else!

After COFFEE TIME, I attempted to get to the eye clinic at 1 using the bus stop across the street, but NO! THAT ONE WAS ALSO NON-OPERATIONAL, which I only found out after waiting 20 minutes! So while I was out, I went to the pharmacy next door and asked about the measles shot after using the building's wifi to send some photos to myself. According to Adam, I don't strictly need it - phew! Then I went home and officially cancelled my appointment.

Later, in view of all this shit, I called Mom to see if they could pick me up tomorrow instead - they can do that at 11, so that's better for me. The Canucks played Colorado at 6:30 tonight... the game went to overtime and a shootout, but they lost 3-2! UGH!

I was out of my place at 5:20 when Deb called to see if it was a good time to pick me up on the way to grab the kids from wherever they were after school. Sure, why not? We went to Hugh Boyd where Declan was; Dylan had picked Elysse up earlier since he'd felt sick at work at 2 or so. Declan demonstrated some good reading skills when we waited for Deb at Seafair Complex before getting some gas for the car. Yeah, the sushi and tempura is a good place to start. He told me that he would let his wife choose the names for their future kids - solid choice, my friend! I'm sure he'd like to try Subway sometime, too. As soon as we got home, the kids started talking about negotiating iPad time and toy time - nice!

We had very slightly spicy chicken wings, rice, bass fish, and bok choy for dinner after watching SAMURAI RANGERS and MINECRAFT. Declan wanted to show me his musical SAMURAI RANGERS sword, which is fine. Elysse insisted on watching GLITTER FORCE with GLITTER FORCE MAKEOVER on the iPad during dinner. When she asked me about my cellphone, I said that I'd received it from my dad. Her answer: "DID HE DIE?!" HAHAHAHA, how amusingly morbid!

If I can type with 98% spelling and grammar accuracy on my phone like I am doing "right now," so can everyone else who doesn't have legitimate difficulties with the English language. There, I said it... BOOM!

Eric Ho actually responded to my email about a birthday hangout within 24 hours or so! WOO! Maybe we should do something which isn't actually sitting around the house, although I now do have a two-pound frozen Bassili's Best shepherd's pie which expires on March 19, 2020. (Corey's birthday) Unfortunately, that would need to be cooked in the oven for 50 to 60 minutes, and then cooled down for fifteen, which takes up valuable hangout time!

Maybe not feasible for a hockey game or something... wait! It can be microwaved for about 16 to 18 minutes and then cooled down for five minutes! Awesome, but I'd have to be very sure that he was coming first! He'd have to call to say he was very definitely on his way. Super!

I got two new homemade soaps, a brief note thanking me for my online Twitch support, and a Ness from Earthbound perler from Cuya in the mail yesterday - NICE! I discovered SURPRISE REDRUM this morning - UGH! Good thing I already had a pad in from yesterday's crap! So then I had to go to London Drugs AGAIN to get some much-needed bulk pads, which I should have just done yesterday while I was there anyway... sigh.

Then I had to walk to the bank to get a NEW chip-enabled debit card since the magnetic strip didn't work, and then return the Winter Creek oysters at Price Smart since I forgot that I'd banned it because I couldn't open them even with the jar opener! No, I didn't care that they couldn't resell it! The customer service worker was named Gunya - WTF?! I simply got easier-to-open and less expensive on-sale Mac's Oysters as a replacement (no more less expensive Fanny Bay oysters!), while deciding "fuck this lineup at the express lane" and going to self-checkout instead.

While I was there, I went to the liquor store to get NEW limited-edition Innis and Gunn Mangoes on the Run mango IPA / NEW Hires Cream Soda and Vodka / NEW limited-edition Snapple Spiked RaspCherry Tea Vodka. (the sale on the Snapple ends today!) Got home at 11:05 on a 407 to unload and rest a bit before going out again. While I was not feeling too terrible, I went to Richmond Centre at 2:35 on a 401 for some new shorts since an old pair met with a poop accident.

H and M did not have what I was looking for, and neither did Sportscheck with their Underarmour shorts. I went into Champs, where I lucked into a 2 for 1 sale on shorts, so of course I took advantage of it, buying two pairs of CSG Black Advancer shorts for $38.08! Then I remembered to check out Shoppers for a frozen Pad Thai meal, which they had, and it was even on sale for $3! Finally got home at 4:30 on a 401, deciding not to wait for the 407 in the hot weather with the frozen meal. Then I emailed Chinese Eric to see if we could hang out for his birthday on August 15!

After DOUBLE COFFEE TIME, finishing my Chicken pasta Sidekicks which expired on April 10, and finishing both of my grape Gatorade bottles which expired TOMORROW (1.2 litres with lots of peeing!), I left at 4 to meet Jon's family at the Oakridge Safeway at 4:45, but of course they were late. Jon says that they have a van now - SWEET! We went to Golden Spring Restaurant for Mother's Day / Mom's 70th birthday. Ayler tried grabbing my hat, but I said no. Later, he said that he could stay up later if he had energy - yeah, that sounds about right.

Harmony decided to enforce her "no screens" rule on the entire front room of Golden Spring Restaurant (which turned out to be right near the old VCEFC) because Hiero always wanted to see what was on the TV - you couldn't even HEAR it! I had to put up with Auntie Teresa, but at least Auntie Eva dropped me off at King Edward station later. COFFEE TIME! The Canucks played New Jersey at 4 today, but lost 3-2. Then I went out at 6:50 after the game ended. I got two 18-packs of assorted Christmas cards / 12 Vancouver postcards (Gastown, BC Place, and the RCMP!) / three assorted packs of Christmas stickers / a pack of 40 golden Christmas decorative stickers (Poinsettias! Holly! Wreaths! Snowmen! Santa! Winter! Bells!) / a pack of Mickey Mouse stickers / a pack of Emoji stickers from the dollar store (I'm going to make it worth my while if I have to go to a store tucked away in a corner at the other end of the mall...), and on-sale orange juice / Crème de Pirouline dark chocolate artisan rolled wafers for myself from London Drugs. Thank goodness that the 407 bus driver saw me running for the bus and waited a few extra seconds, and waited a bit for me to retrieve my bus pass from my pocket! I definitely thanked him for that, besides my customary "Thank you" when I get off the bus! I got home at 8:10, which is MUCH better than a while later!

During COFFEE TIME this afternoon, I went to the pharmacy next door (propping the side door open with my mop bucket since I didn't want to go around to the front door in the rainy weather) to pick up my newest birth control prescription, Minestrin! It came in two thin wallet-like pouches, which definitely is slightly less waste than three small boxes. Jon wanted to know if I was available to help out with the kids on Mondays again if he was teaching again then - sure, why not? At least I got their newest address so I could look up how to get there on Translink. The Canucks played Philadelphia at 4 today, and won 5-2... it was pretty intense! Seems Kelli changed her address, too, but I totally understand needing to get out of a toxic relationship!
