Sunflowers by Hinawa's grave: Chapter 1 yellow flowers with Flint and Alec! Abbot and Abbey are by the grave after Hinawa's funeral - I did not know this! "A bouquet of flowers, offered to everyone's beloved Hinawa." Abbot, Abbey, Flint, Alec, Isaac, Nichol, Richie, Thomas, Lisa, and Bateau are around the MILF gravestone.

Yesterday, Holly invited me to Steveston Pizza at her place tonight. Nobody was going to have the $850 pizza! ("SEENAY: Medley of tiger prawns, lobster ratatouille, smoked steelhead, Russian Osetra caviar, snowed with Italian white truffles $850") After I showered and had COFFEE TIME, Brian kindly picked me up at the hospital at 7:10 even though the pizza place was way closer to his apartment. We chatted about the expensive pizza (a MOUND of seafood on the order before his?!) and the NHL Draft Pick Lottery Day before getting to Holly's, where I unsuccessfully completed a call to her. She wanted to throw her keys down to us again, but actually answered the door instead once she realized Brian had five pizza boxes.

I said hey to Darryl and Paulo, informing Paulo that the temporary crosswalk was now closed off. He put his head in his hands and said, "I hate it..." Trust me, I understand ANY ranting he has to do on the issue! We all talked about life, Vegas, walking a lot on the LONG Strip blocks, online people, chatrooms, drunkenness, dodgy stuff, seeing family members, work schedules, Holly's new job starting tomorrow, dead people, being a travel agent, working with the general public, and upcoming plans. As usual, I have none. I did almost forget my jacket, oops. Darryl called me by name when we said bye to him outside, which shouldn't really be a surprise. Brian dropped me and Paulo off at about 9:40, which is pretty good. I actually have time to blog without being rushed off to do other things!

GREAT - I JUST GOT A BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH, ACCOMPANIED BY A HORRIBLE NOISE!

Holly mentioned that she was near me this morning for an interview at WorkSafe BC, so I noted the proximity. She asked if I wanted to do lunch, so after checking in with myself, I said yes. I finally left the house at 12 or so. Turns out she saw me at the 401 bus stop at Alderbridge, so we waited together and chatted about her interview, the questions, and how my morning was. Yup, Jimbo would have something to say about a certain person being invited to our chat when he gets back - we should have put it to a vote!

We finally made it to Edo Japan at the Richmond Centre food court, where I had a chicken chop chop bowl and she had some boring cucumber sushi. Talked about Brian, Jeremy, Darryl, Paulo taking a mental health break and needing to talk to someone, rage-quitting, Bath and Body Works, our birthdays, Chinese Eric's lupus, the chat, going to H and M later so I could convince her to get the cute and fun HOLY MOLY GUACAMOLE! thin sweater she'd seen earlier while killing time, encouragement of certain thoughts, a Froshberg Gelato ice cream (her treat - I got Nutella and White Chocolate and she got Pistachio), plus maybe going to the Steveston Canada Day festivities / Cherry Blossom Festival in the summer. When she found out that the next 401 would be in 16 minutes at Brighouse, she said that she was glad to wait for my bus with me, otherwise I'd be bored. No, I had my book and my thoughts! Turns out she did know Bryce Courtenay as a famous Australian writer from back home, but didn't know he'd been born in South Africa. I got home at 2, and was exhausted and drained. NO MORE GOING OUT FOR ME ANYTIME SOON!

I discovered redrum last night - UGH! After I had COFFEE TIME, Barry picked me up at 11:50 and we went banking and to Price Smart. I got on-sale Uncle Ben's rice x3 (Mushroom / Tomato and Herb / Jambalaya), Nissin black garlic oil noodles / BulJjamppong Korean beef seafood noodles / Paldo Volcano Chicken noodles / Nongshim Kamja Tang Myun rich potato noodles, NEW on-sale Charlotte's holiday butter cookies ($2 more for 430 grams vs. 340 grams for Royal Dansk), on-sale toys for Hiero's birthday presents where the original price even beats the Amazon price (EMOJI MOVIE Memory matching card game / Mega Bloks Smash Stunt Zeg truck), on-sale Cottonelle toilet paper x2, on-sale spearmint Dentyne gum, and Hainanese chicken which expires on the 23rd.

I also got NEW Oikos pineapple Greek yogurt, NEW Danone Oikos Lemon Meringue Creations Greek yogurt, JOY dumplings x6 (Lamb and Onion / Tri-Treasure / Pork and Chive / Pork and Vegetable), on-sale Liberté Skyr Icelandic-style yogurt x3 (plain / raspberry / vanilla bean - so I don't have to go all the way to Superstore for it right now!), soft Chips Ahoy cookies (original and peanut butter), on-sale Campbell's Chunky Soup (Chicken Sausage Gumbo and Creamy Chicken Noodle), and on-sale unsweetened Silk almond milk. We had to go back to Coast Capital (discussing Joy Division and the Clash and hockey fights) because my debit card came up with a "CAN'T PROCESS" error at the store! Ugh! At least I LUCKILY had the $180 cash to pay for my purchases, but STILL! This is a new card from late JULY, too! Bonus: The bank teller's name was HARSHDEEP!

After that, I paid my Shaw and hydro bills online at home. Then I got a Christmas photo card from Janet S. (ghost_light) and Christmas presents and stuff from Julie in a bubble-wrap envelope! A Christmas card with stickers, red and pink CHRISTMAS HOUSE penguin socks, a fun and fuzzy JOT ballpoint pen, Women Daredevils: Thrills, Chills, and Frills (Julie Cummins / Cheryl Harness), eight sticker sheets (Christmas glitter / wild animals / truck stickers which Ayler and Hiero would probably stick all over the floor if I gave it to them / five more assorted sheets), two fun and encouraging little notebooks ("You can do this!" / "Best day ever!"), and a penguin pouch of Cappuccino For You! Eric Ho also finally emailed me back, saying that with his current work schedule, the 27th is the only date that could work for a hockey hangout before the new year. Well, at least he'll keep me posted!

I thought my BENQ computer monitor had blinked out this morning, but it just gave me a NO SIGNAL DETECTED error message, which of course I couldn't look up, so I called Eric! I tried stuff with the cables, read a lot about true crime (Max Haines!) and urban legends (Thomas Craughwell), got rid of the Hans Holzer book about ghosts since I wasn't interested in it anymore (and the print there is starting to be really small), and did some more stuff. At 4:50, I decided to try pressing the Power button AGAIN, and somehow the monitor roared back to working mode! PHEW! Of course I called white Eric to let him know about this, then called Chinese Eric to remind him about Felico's.

Special 2017 (1)

* Julie M.: "Here is the bracelet that I finally was able to send! I hope you like it. Go Canucks!! :)"

Birthday 2017 (5)

* card from parents

* Steph, Lisa, Fraser, Henry, and Havarti: "Sarne! Happy 41st birthday from your loving sister, sister-in-law, and FAVORITE nephews! (Haha! We know it even if you don't say it!) Love from Hamilton. See you in November! Steph, Lisa, Fraser, Henry, and Havarti."

* card from Pathways

* Christon: "Happy Birthday, Leslie! I know this card makes fun of our age, but I have realized how long we have known each other, and despite all the different turns of events in our lives, we have been able to keep in touch through birthdays of friends and our own, so that has been pretty cool! Enjoy another year with good friends and food. I pray that this year be a good one for you! Cheers! Christon."

* Eric M.: "Happy 41st Birthday, Leslie. Hope you have a good year to come. The rides to and from church aren't as interesting without you on board ready to disembark at No. 4 Rd. and Alderbridge Way. Just don't let a fart out in a crowded elevator... or a US Navy Aircraft Carrier. Trump will consider it an act of war. Eric."

"You Enhance Lives"

You're the type of person who likes to work quietly behind the scenes. Very few people notice all that you do.
You love to help, but you aren't looking for credit. You know that you do a lot simply being there for others.

You are steady, dependable, and loyal. You aren't just a rock, though - you also have a good spark that lights up the world.
You bring lightness and depth, optimism, and realism to others' lives. You are often what is missing.

"You Are Birdie"

You are as wise as they come. You have a good deal of life experience, and you've definitely learned from it.
You may be down to earth, but you have a wild past that few know about. And you're happy to keep it that way.

You have a lot of foresight, but you don't go around making predictions. You just let things unfold.
You are steady and encouraging. You are always rooting your friends on from the sidelines.

I got this error message last night: "You have specified a date in the future." No, I haven't. FACEBOOK, GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER!

Eric M. called at 10:50 to say he'd be here ten minutes later to help me with my inadvertently unplugged speakers. He found some black wire with a green plug somewhere in back of my computer tower, which had been the problem. Then he plugged some things into the back of the computer tower, fixed the volume and microphone, and commented on my index cards and the dust. While he was there, I asked (knowing the answer) whether he was going to that Jacob's Well dinner at Jeremy's, then asked for a ride back. He wondered if I didn't also want a ride there: sure, as long as he wasn't doing anything beforehand! Then he cued up a numbers Youtube video, which Ayler would probably like if only he were allowed to watch Youtube. He left at 11:10 after I thanked him, which is fine. I'm glad to have sound / audio back!

From Reddit on March 7, 2017: No, you should not encourage your BOYFRIEND in HIS using "they / them" pronouns! It's HE and HIM and HIS! I agree with Undoomed on this one. You are NOT that much of a special snowflake! Also, WTF is "eye gaze"? Just say "he looks at me for a long time"! This is definitely an example of semantic satiation!

From Reddit on April 3, 2017: No, you cannot be technically 12 when it's a month until your birthday! That would still make you your then-current age of ELEVEN.
