Paulo and I were trying to figure out where everyone else wanted to meet, so eventually I said "fuck it - let's meet somewhere nearby." The hospital Starbucks it was! We just managed to get the 407 at Alderbridge after ascertaining that everyone now wanted to meet at House of Dosas on Kingsway; like we were saying, we don't care if people want to do something later, JUST PICK A LOCATION TO MEET! After Paulo went on ahead at Brighouse (the elevator took a while), I got on the next train and checked my text messages. We figured out what had happened and set up King Edward as a meeting place. He did apologize ("my bad") and explained, so of course I accepted that.

We finally made it to the House of Dosas at about 6:20 and met Holly, Brian, and Darryl. I had a lamb vindaloo dosa while Paulo added a buttermilk lassi to his dinner; when we heard that he hadn't eaten all day, I said that he should have walked over to my place for some instant noodles! No, that wasn't a joke! I did PM him my address when I got home just in case. We talked about cricket, virginity, porn stars, Halloween, Good Friday / Easter, Direct Tap, a new job, a casual stress-free work culture, and maybe doing something later. It was a good time, and I did like my spicy lamb vindaloo dosa!

Later, Brian drove us to the Dark Manor on Fraser Street. It was so fucking dark in there that I couldn't see a damn thing. Luckily, I waited near the washrooms and Holly actually came out. Brian tapped a bar stool, so at least I knew where that was. There was a Zombie drink where you could only order two of them (Brian thought that was a gimmick), there was a communal huge bowl of alcohol with LONG drinking straws (SHARE OUR BACKWASH!), we needed candlelight to read the menu, and we watched Paulo and Darryl get progressively more wasted on the one Zombie drink. I did have some of Brian's beer when he offered. After that, I wasn't in the mood to drink more, so when Brian asked if I wanted to, I said no. He ended us dropping us all off at home, by the car, or near Marine Drive Station. Talked about zero-waste, weekend plans, seeing family, Jeremy being so wasted that he couldn't get home himself (and then having to pay a fine and get his car back from a towing place the next day), Garden and Nanaimo (near the old VCEFC!), and hanging out again tomorrow at the music bingo. (I declined) I got in at 8:40.

After COFFEE TIME, I discovered a TOILET TANK EMERGENCY! It wouldn't flush, which was NOT ideal because Chinese Eric is coming over tomorrow! Besides, I really didn't want to go across the street every time I needed to pee! So I bit the bullet and called Hester a few minutes later since I needed to leave at 2, who scolded me for not being perfectly polite and composed on the phone AND for not writing a note. Fuck off - I have to deal with YOUR limited English, and I don't have TIME to write a note to have you deal with the problem after the weekend! Eventually, I managed to communicate that the toilet flush wasn't working, and Ni came by within ten minutes and actually fixed the issues. In that time, Brian had already offered to come over - THIS is what my new friends do for me?! WOW! :D

I left at 2 on a 414 to see Rachel at the Caring Place. Then I went to Shoppers to buy a Stouffer's Saute Sensations Country Beef Pot Roast microwaveable meal, a President's Choice meat lasagna for a future hangout which is not tomorrow afternoon (expires on December 12), Ben and Jerry's Peanut Butter Cookie Dough / Chocolate Milk and Cookies ice cream, Breyers Delights ice cream in Vanilla Cupcake plus Creamy Chocolate, and President's Choice mango ice cream! Should be yummy!

After I FINALLY got a 401 after FOUR 408 Ironwood buses in a row and a 407 at Brighouse after waiting since 4:10, I went to the pharmacy next door to see if I could get my eyedrops prescription filled before they closed. Adam could do it right then, but I didn't have time to chat or to wait for the previous chatty customer to finish because I had frozen things in my bag, so I was in a rush by default! The instructions are the same, anyway. I got home at 4:45 and FINALLY shoved everything into the freezer, almost before the items started really melting! Good thing I can probably get Chinese Eric to help with opening the eyedrops tomorrow if I remember... so I put them on the table with the low-tech blue guestbook and everything else!

After COFFEE TIME, Barry picked me up at 12:30 for my 1 PM eye appointment at the clinic. Everything is a go for the eye surgery on May 8, and we talked about the nice weather outside. When I got home at 1:45, I had another COFFEE TIME! The Canucks played Chicago at 5:30 today, and won 3-2 in overtime! Bo Horvat got the winning goal, and Elias Pettersen now has the standalone Canucks rookie record for points, passing Pavel Bure and Ivan Hlinka!

After COFFEE TIME, I had to get ready to leave by 11 for Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot at Lansdowne for a lunch with Mom and Dad. Fatty beef, lamb shoulder, Napa cabbage, white noodles, tofu, yams, vegetable and pork dumplings, deep-fried chicken wings, cod fillets, shrimp balls, beef balls, fish balls, tiger prawns, broth, an iced sour plum drink, and tea! Mom complained that they had seen bus stops around my place - yeah, but that doesn't mean they are in service right now! Dad "helped" with my phone's data and wifi settings. Yes, I know Harmony's family birthday is the 10th somewhere. I'll confirm things with Jon in a few days; no need to rush and be impatient about things! They dropped me off at London Drugs, so I walked home and got in at 12:45.

Random stuff from Mom and Dad: $10 cash, Maggi Masala Indian instant noodles x2 which have already expired as of February 3, Nosh and Co. After COFFEE TIME, I attempted to get to the eye clinic at 1 using the bus stop across the street, but NO! THAT ONE WAS ALSO NON-OPERATIONAL, which I only found out after waiting 20 minutes! So while I was out, I went to the pharmacy next door and asked about the measles shot after using the building's wifi to send some photos to myself. According to Adam, I don't strictly need it - phew! Then I went home and officially cancelled my appointment.

Later, in view of all this shit, I called Mom to see if they could pick me up tomorrow instead - they can do that at 11, so that's better for me. The Canucks played Colorado at 6:30 tonight... the game went to overtime and a shootout, but they lost 3-2! UGH!

After COFFEE TIME, I went to the eye clinic by 11:45 (busing at 11 on a 401, which I got to JUST IN TIME) for an eye pressure test, but I was 25 minutes late because of snow and transit delays, NOT helped by SOMEONE thinking we had infinite time to exit the elevator at Brighouse station! It won't be 20/20 vision or anything with the other surgery, but the doctor is okay with how things are going so far. I decided to take a business card for my home use: IN THE COSMETICS BAG BY THE COMPUTER FOR EASIER ACCESS! I'm sure they have a thousand of those things! While I was out anyway, I decided just to kill time at Oakridge. Thank goodness the snow was melting because of the rain since the temperature had warmed up a bit! I found that the best wifi signal was near the food court (where I had some Pho), and definitely not at Safeway or the library!

I got NEW Pringles Groovz in Applewood Smoked Cheddar flavor, small bottles of Vaseline x2 in Cocoa Radiant Cocoa Butter / Aloe Vera, Flaming Hot Cheetos, and Jalapeno Cheddar Cheetos at Safeway. Also read a bit and talked to people on Discord, as you do. I also went to Wireless Wave to find out why my Internet data was frozen - apparently, I wasn't allowed to have any, which explains some things, but at least I can still seemingly take advantage of Wifi and Shaw Open!

We talked about her mom, Sophie, not saying hi to David yet after a year (sit in their pew!), her brother helping out, the new caregiver from church, the new worship team and their new style of songs, Belinda's new snowblower for Toronto weather, my eye surgeries, and going to No Frills later only to find that the Becel avocado oil margarine was sold out. Ugh, I'll just get it some other time since I was not in the mood to walk anymore once I got into Richmond. Got home at 7:55 on a 401, and the sidewalks were just as clear as they'd been this morning as I tried "safely running" for the bus. Yes, of course I'm a good listener as Anita told me all those years ago, and Frances affirmed tonight. I told her to look up Edward Rutherfurd if she wanted to read more historical fiction, ha!

When I went out this morning to test the snow at 10 AM (and discover that Internet data was frozen on my phone), Megan from the eye clinic called me to say that I had a date for my other eye surgery: Wednesday, May 8! I called Barry AGAIN for the third time this week, and he said he couldn't drive me tomorrow since he was at the hospital with somebody. Very valid! I did tell him about the new surgery date and the February 27 eye clinic appointment, so we'll see on that one! Then again, IT'S SNOWING AGAIN IN RICHMOND! I might have to call and cancel the appointment tomorrow morning...

After COFFEE TIME, I called the eye clinic to say that I'd run out of eyedrops, so asked what to do. End result: I have an appointment next Friday with Dr. Wise (the only day she's in) to check the eye pressure. The Canucks played Chicago at 5:30 today, and lost 4-3 in overtime. I also saw a dead mouse two inches away from a mousetrap! Guess I'm calling Barry tomorrow...

I called Dr. Wise's office at 11:15 because I'd run out of the Prolensa and Simbrinza eyedrops, and I'm starting to really feel a difference. I had to rest today because my eyes felt really weird like they did right after surgery. Luckily, I could pick them up this afternoon (being a Friday) before they closed at 4. I got there at 2:10 or so, and even got them to open ALL the ridiculously tiny eyedrops bottles x4 for me! PHEW!

On my way home, I just missed a Brighouse train from Yaletown-Roundhouse (where I FINALLY found the elevator to bypass the stairs), so I took a Waterfront train to stay on there so I could go to Broadway Station. I went to No Frills where I was confused by the self-checkout machine, which is nothing new. At least I got help! Bought three pounds of Parkay margarine (which I haven't bought since April 25, 2018?!) and President's Choice Kettle-Cooked Jalapeno chips. I stopped by the pharmacy next door after getting off a 401 at 3:40, and also refilled my birth control pills prescription. Everything is done - YAY!

Then Eric Ho FINALLY emailed me back to say that he's glad my eye surgery and recovery are going well, and we can get together around February 26 or a little later. Does he not know what an expiry date or deadline for the Boston Pizza Online offer is?! I want my free Bandera Pizza Bread, dammit! I'll just splurge and order delivery tonight since I somehow have more extra money in my bank account... I don't trust him to not come over before the offer expires. I eventually settled on a medium BBQ chicken pizza (which I haven't had since September 2016), a medium Meateor pizza for 50% off (which I haven't had since the last time I had pizza in August 2018 for Chinese Eric's birthday), and my free Bandera Pizza Bread with dips and cheese. After COFFEE TIME, Barry called me at 11:50 to see if I could change our food shopping appointment next week from Wednesday to Thursday, which I had no problem with. I left at 12:25 to get to the Burrard eye clinic for my appointment with Dr. Wise for a one-week followup, even if the construction zone around here is annoying. Still got off at Yaletown-Roundhouse and was in time to catch the 6 Davie in the land of the pink bus stops, which is what I know now. I got there at 1:05, but that was fine. The doctor says my eyes still look healthy and are improving, that I can't dislodge the cataract lens even if I tried, and that I could throw out the antibiotic with zero refills, which was fine by me. She says there is no need to rush to get newer glasses because my prescription is not fully formed yet - apparently, a bunch of people DO waste their money and do just that. My next appointment is the six-week followup on Feb. 27 (a Wednesday) at 2:15, which works for me.

Later, I took the opportunity to play with the Shaw wi-fi while I was still at the clinic office, then decided to do my shopping in Vancouver. I should have done it in Richmond or on Broadway to save some time, since some asshole decided to hit me up for some Canadian coins outside Vancouver City Centre under the guise of "a dumb American question" while I was looking at a map. I went to the London Drugs right there to get Scotch Expressions orange masking tape x2 and red $2 MARTEX washcloths x2. They didn't have any duct tape, so I asked an employee where the nearest Staples was - near Burrard Station, which wasn't too far away.

Thanks to the aforementioned asshole, I got three blocks to Burrard Station which was very near the Staples at 1055 West Georgia. I eventually managed to find the entrance, and had to walk a bit to get into the actual store. I bought Z-Grip Pens x60 (June 24, 2018) and black duct tape, temporarily walked in the wrong direction, and eventually got home at 4 on a 407. No more two-hour service gap at Brighouse!

Deb emailed me again at 6:15 to ask how the appointment had gone, and to wonder if I'd seen Declan's orange Beyblade Pokemon stadium and toys. Nope, but it could be anywhere in that alcove or townhouse by now! Someone named Emily Harris added me to Facebook - possibly Kurt's girlfriend, but she never responded to my message asking who she was. What the heck?! Then I noticed that Emilie Mak unfriended me, but that's fine - I only knew her as an Awana kid from 2007!

I found my charger on the drawer knob yesterday morning, then somehow slept with both that AND the plug in the bed last night... oops! Deb asked if I wanted to hang around their house today while everyone was at school and work, or if I wanted to go home for the day. I said I'd go home, thinking of using the computer instead of mobile to be FASTER! So after a breakfast of a Nutella sandwich and milk, and almost tripping over Declan on the stairs, she and Declan drove me back here. Good thing, too - I definitely had to poop at some point! I also had coffee here to save time... but I'd have pooped at the townhouse if I'd HAD to! Wait - Deb even packed me a lunch of last night's leftovers of lamb steak, ribs, and gai lan?! SO NICE!

The day started early because we all went to church - a poppyseed bagel for breakfast suited me fine. No more MINECRAFT or HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON from last night, that's for sure! It was cold and foggy this morning, but least it wasn't snowy or rainy! I snuck into the church sanctuary and sat in the very last row when we got to VCEFC via the underground parking lot. Auntie Catherine saw me on my way in because she was one of the ushers, so had to hug me hello. I talked to Pastor Dan, Sharon, Emily L., Ivan W., Billy, Stella, Elenor's sister Janet, Helen C., Benedict, and others about my eye cataract surgery recovery progress while I grabbed a spare mug from the kitchen for some coffee.

Later, we went to Swiss Chalet for Elysse's fifth birthday: reading, making mistakes, being angry, chocolate milk, quarter of a rotisserie chicken and garlic shrimp / popcorn shrimp, water, embarrassing (blowjob) positions, Dylan's church meetings, Swiss Chalet coupons, chicken tenders, fries, yummy dipping sauce, what nephews were, Costco / IKEA / Toys R Us at Lansdowne, and dropping Dylan off at church. After about half an hour at home, everyone went to a crowded Costco / IKEA / Toys R Us. No, the shopping carts weren't jungle gyms, Declan! Dylan's parents returned some stuff and we talked about safety, surgery, Deb's patients, astigmatism, DanActive yogurt, fruit, budgeting, calling people by their real names, whining, and Elysse's new HATCHIMAL for $70 at Lansdowne.

The Canucks played the Panthers at 4 today, and won 5-1. Dylan's dad made lamb steak, gai lan, and ribs for Elysse's birthday dinner, and we had chocolate cupcakes with raspberry frosting and HELLO KITTY decorations as dessert. When I thanked him for it, Declan asked why I called his grandpa "Uncle." Well, he looks like he's the same age as my dad's friends and definitely NOT my peer, so there you go! Apparently, Dylan's mom found the icing too sweet, so she gave hers to me instead. Elysse wanted to lie down on her stool to eat the long spaghetti noodles, but that's NOT A GOOD IDEA! Dylan got home in time for his parents to make the drive back to Langley, but I was upstairs on mobile trying to be as unobtrusive as possible.

I had my cataract eye surgery at Mount St. Joseph's Hospital today. Before Barry picked me up at 9:45, I showered as recommended. We STILL had to wait and he left at 11:35, and I was finally called in at 12:15 or so. It's a strange sensation being wheeled on a hospital bed! The needle went fine, the surgery went well, and I talked to Dr. Wise a bit before and after. Tomorrow at noon sounds very doable especially since Barry will drive me instead of my parents!

Mom and Dad did come to pick me up, but they had to wait. HA HA HA! I got some Olympic plain Greek yogurt x4 which expires on January 21, some Kwong Chow leftovers, some Fit-Overs to borrow, soy sauce octopus, curry chicken, noodles, homemade lemonade, Fuku Superior Soup Noodles x2 which expire on October 5, and a thin green Koret vest. However, I don't NEED to give Barry a thank-you card, or ask about the surgery for the other eye at tomorrow's appointment right away! Discovered extra money in my bank account this morning, and updated Harmony and Deb on things via email, also calling Barry at 8:40 AM to let him know about the NOON appointment time on the 11th. Luckily, he can drive me! I left at 11:10 to perforce go to Dr. Wise's clinic on 1200 Burrard by myself... ugh! I went to Yaletown-Roundhouse station (where I'd met Jeremy a long time ago for the Jazz Festival) and luckily found the 6 Davie Bay 1 bus stop across the street, a couple minutes before the bus arrived. A little girl asked me what happened with my keloid scars, so I told her that it was a birthmark. Good enough!

At least the eye measurement test was relatively quick (and I got there at about 12:10), and I could just wait for Dr. O'Donnell's opinion rather than wait for Dr. Wise to call her assistant back. I left at 12:40 or so, and didn't really have to wait for the 6 Downtown going back to Yaletown-Roundhouse, thanks to the helpful Davie bus driver telling me where the bus stop was and all that.

Since I had to wait ten minutes for the 407 from Brighouse anyway, I bought even more on-sale $5 Stouffer's Sauté Sensations Chicken Alfredo microwaveable meals x4 (the sale goes till the 11th, when I might not be in suitable shape to go again) from Shoppers. When I got home at 1:35, I also bought $2 Essentiel hand sanitizer x2 from the pharmacy next door. Adam was fine with things and reminded me to ask about the eyedrops tomorrow at the hospital. Well, I apparently have to bring them in with me, so I've already prepared a Ziploc bag for that.

I called Dad to say I was home and things were fine. He tried joking about leaving me to take the bus - NO, THAT IS DEFINITELY NOT AN OPTION! Mom then called me right after to say she had made dinner for me tomorrow (which means that I can take it home and microwave it... NOT GO OUT WITH HER - PHEW!) and to say they'd be at Mount St. Joseph's at 1:45 tomorrow to support me on the way out and home to Richmond. Okay, GOOD! Then I had some whiskey and noodles... Dr. Wise's office (Megan) called me at 4:15 to try scheduling a last-minute appointment for tomorrow at noon to REPEAT an eye test that I thought the Willow UBC Eye Care Clinic already did back on November 15! Dr. Wise then said that she wanted to make sure I got the best lens possible, and she needed the info before going into the OR, so couldn't do it while I was asleep during the operation. Okay, I guess... Megan did say it was a hassle, which is right, because I said it was an inconvenience, then felt bad about it. I'd been planning to relax, but whatever! After COFFEE TIME, Vanessa and baby Cassidy picked me up at 11:30 so we could hang out before my eye cataract surgery on Thursday. We went to the Lansdowne Mall food court to try the good dumplings / SLB / wonton at R&H House, and bubble tea at Fresh Elements. Then we walked around T&T to get Paterson's Shortbread (400 grams at $6 for Deb and Dylan), GOLDEN DRAGON SUSHI (for me), pomelos, hot and sour soup, more food, and some veggies. I didn't mind the walking around!

We talked about Jason saying some questionable things, Bev, Hester, Teunis, Krista, showing bamboo shoots to the baby (who didn't like touching it), baby sign language, the baby pointing at things and liking my red bling sweater, shower caps, and more. I did manage to get a blue $4 GOODY shower cap at the pharmacy next door when she drove me home at 2:25, so all is well on that front. It was good to see her for sure!

EDIT AT 10 PM: I went out again in the freezing weather at 8:50 on a 401 to get my Wednesday evening pre-surgery nourishment since I somehow have to not eat anything after midnight on Thursday. Thank goodness that the Stouffer's Sauté Sensations microwaveable meals were on sale for $5 each! I got Chicken Alfredo and Homestyle Beef Pot Roast, plus a NEW Cadbury Dairy Milk Oreo chocolate bar! Damn self-checkout not working well... at least I got home at 9:35 on a 407 so I could finally finish the last two eyedrops doses of four!

From Mario Day: Mario is being interrogated at the police station. A cop says, "... said he was trying to save a princess... and that he was being chased by turtles. That's when we checked the glove box and found the mushrooms. Then it all made sense." OH MAN! It was dated January 7, 2014... WHAT A DATE COINCIDENCE AND ANNIVERSARY!

I went out at 9:30 on a 401 to meet Mom and Dad at Main and 15th at TXL Insurance, Uncle William Ng's company. (10:30 AM?!) After we had lunch at Kwong Chow and finally took care of the insurance, I did some shopping at the Broadway London Drugs. Bought 400 Mead index cards, store brand all-purpose cleaner, a three-inch Avery binder for my important documents (a definite upgrade!), a red $2 MARTEX washcloth, a GUM toothbrush, and two dark blue $2 GOODY toothbrush covers. Got home at 1:40 to a Purolator notice (ugh), a phone call from Dr. Wise's office, and some other mail, so I had to deal with all of that.

I got a BUDDY THE ELF Christmas card / Tazo Tea x3 (passion herbal tea, vanilla caramel chai, and green ginger tea) / magnetic Fool Moon treasures crow bookmark from Angie H. (auralily) and a Ringo the dog Christmas card from Kitty (bornwitch / dutch_kitty) in the mail. Then after calling Dr. Wise's office back, I GOT MY SURGERY TIME! 11:45 at Mount St. Joseph's isn't TERRIBLE! After letting Barry know about the surgery date and then fielding an inconvenient phone call from Mom (I was going to go out before it got dark!), I trekked near YVR on Jericho Road to get to the Purolator via YVR Airport Canada Line, placing myself nearer the airport than I'd intended today, as I told Corey when I got back. Deb called me at 1:25 to see about my post-surgery care. Yes, I'm welcome to stay there for about a week for company purposes. The medicine dosage instructions do seem complicated, that's for sure! At 2:30, I called the pharmacy next door to see if my prescription was ready - the Lotemax Gel / Prolensa / Moxifloxacin eyedrops were definitely there, so I went there at 4 to pick them up. Only two of them were covered (Ocuflox and Ratio-Prednisolone), but that was what Dr. Wise sent Adam, so I guess it should be okay if a doctor upstairs only gives those two. He said to pull the eyelid down to create a sort of pouch and then drop the medicine in, and to wait a few minutes between each dose.

I discovered redrum last night - UGH! After I had COFFEE TIME, Barry picked me up at 11:50 and we went banking and to Price Smart. I got on-sale Uncle Ben's rice x3 (Mushroom / Tomato and Herb / Jambalaya), Nissin black garlic oil noodles / BulJjamppong Korean beef seafood noodles / Paldo Volcano Chicken noodles / Nongshim Kamja Tang Myun rich potato noodles, NEW on-sale Charlotte's holiday butter cookies ($2 more for 430 grams vs. 340 grams for Royal Dansk), on-sale toys for Hiero's birthday presents where the original price even beats the Amazon price (EMOJI MOVIE Memory matching card game / Mega Bloks Smash Stunt Zeg truck), on-sale Cottonelle toilet paper x2, on-sale spearmint Dentyne gum, and Hainanese chicken which expires on the 23rd.

I also got NEW Oikos pineapple Greek yogurt, NEW Danone Oikos Lemon Meringue Creations Greek yogurt, JOY dumplings x6 (Lamb and Onion / Tri-Treasure / Pork and Chive / Pork and Vegetable), on-sale Liberté Skyr Icelandic-style yogurt x3 (plain / raspberry / vanilla bean - so I don't have to go all the way to Superstore for it right now!), soft Chips Ahoy cookies (original and peanut butter), on-sale Campbell's Chunky Soup (Chicken Sausage Gumbo and Creamy Chicken Noodle), and on-sale unsweetened Silk almond milk. We had to go back to Coast Capital (discussing Joy Division and the Clash and hockey fights) because my debit card came up with a "CAN'T PROCESS" error at the store! Ugh! At least I LUCKILY had the $180 cash to pay for my purchases, but STILL! This is a new card from late JULY, too! Bonus: The bank teller's name was HARSHDEEP!

After that, I paid my Shaw and hydro bills online at home. Then I got a Christmas photo card from Janet S. (ghost_light) and Christmas presents and stuff from Julie in a bubble-wrap envelope! A Christmas card with stickers, red and pink CHRISTMAS HOUSE penguin socks, a fun and fuzzy JOT ballpoint pen, Women Daredevils: Thrills, Chills, and Frills (Julie Cummins / Cheryl Harness), eight sticker sheets (Christmas glitter / wild animals / truck stickers which Ayler and Hiero would probably stick all over the floor if I gave it to them / five more assorted sheets), two fun and encouraging little notebooks ("You can do this!" / "Best day ever!"), and a penguin pouch of Cappuccino For You! Eric Ho also finally emailed me back, saying that with his current work schedule, the 27th is the only date that could work for a hockey hangout before the new year. Well, at least he'll keep me posted!

DOUBLE COFFEE TIME! I was ready with Eric's Christmas 2018 Almond Roca when he called this morning at 8:55, which I dumped into the backseat when he mentioned Christmas as a reminder. I took an extra 30 seconds to talk to the security guard, who says that he doesn't know how long they'll be posted in the apartment lobby - then I apologized to Eric about it, who didn't say anything much beyond stuff about how he knows the building doesn't have sprinklers. (it would automatically detect fire and BURNING to call 911!) We got to church on time, and I settled into a pew with Myles, Brittney, and Naomi... I definitely hugged Pastor Dan hello and said hi to Joe! Mom and Dad stayed for ONLY the baby dedication, OF COURSE! I said hi to Uncle Joe and Auntie Wing Yee, and waved to Peter, Holly, Evander, Everett, Jon, Harmony, Ayler, Hiero, and Beckett.

After service, I said hi to Lesley / Frances C. (her mom and a possible get-together) / Eva (Harrison's mom - he's now FIFTEEN?!) / Margaret K. / Ivan W. (eye surgery and Sunday Dinner) / Auntie Esther / Harmony (eye surgery support) / Pastor Dan (eye surgery and Sharon being out of town) / Auntie Catherine (hug) / Auntie Cathy (hug) / Emily Y. (Joey in town often and non-profit work for Big Brothers) / Deb (eye surgery support) / Pastor Fulton / Lawrence / Derek C. / Adam L. / Billy (I have the same eyes?!) and Stella (Steph's family) / Rosenda / Sophia / Natalie / Jeff / Anita / Uncle Wayne and Auntie Susan. It was good to see people and say hi... Eric didn't even HAVE hockey because of some international thing going on in that arena, so I got a ride home from him, avoiding lunch with my parents! Of course Mom had my stuff before she and Dad go on a cruise to Cuba and visit Steph's family.

I made sure that I talked to Jon and his crew, of course, patting Beckett's head as I said hi to him. Hiero was playing with a "paper plane," and I helped Ayler with a Nanaimo Bar at the snack table. Eric and I listened to a comedy podcast, then got stuck in traffic to the Arthur Laing Bridge, so we should just have braved the backed-up Knight Street Bridge instead! I finally got home at 12:35 when we'd left the church about an hour earlier... the Canucks played the St. Louis Blues at 12 today, and WON 6-1! I'm just glad that I have unfettered time to blog at my own pace now!

Random (Christmas!) stuff from Mom and Dad, inside a Lush Cosmetics bag: A Spirit "Size 14" thin blue and white pair of pants which Mom thought would "fit" me (ha ha ha... she forgets about the NG butt size!), two random pairs of grey knee socks, Project 7 Coconut-Lime gourmet gum, a pound of Carnaby (Shoppers Drug Mart store brand) Halloween candy and gumdrops in a tub with NO expiry date, a pack of three pairs of women's athletic socks, two pairs of T-Max Heat Holders casual socks (FINALLY, SOMETHING POTENTIALLY USEFUL!), a random pair of white "socks" which don't even fit over my feet, and a Disney Princess Lip Smackers tub in "Birthday Princess" flavor.

Edit: Harmony and Jon emailed me an invitation to an early Christmas Day dinner. Sounds good to me right now!

Happy Hockey Hanukkah!
