I also mailed some birthday stuff to Julie, but couldn't mail actual cash. Failing that, I had to get NEW Häagen-Dazs Extras ice cream x5! (Rocky Road / Cookies and Cream / Banana Peanut Butter Chip / Brownies and Cookie Dough / Strawberry Cheesecake) Got home at 1:55 on a 401, which is okay.

After COFFEE TIME, I discovered a TOILET TANK EMERGENCY! It wouldn't flush, which was NOT ideal because Chinese Eric is coming over tomorrow! Besides, I really didn't want to go across the street every time I needed to pee! So I bit the bullet and called Hester a few minutes later since I needed to leave at 2, who scolded me for not being perfectly polite and composed on the phone AND for not writing a note. Fuck off - I have to deal with YOUR limited English, and I don't have TIME to write a note to have you deal with the problem after the weekend! Eventually, I managed to communicate that the toilet flush wasn't working, and Ni came by within ten minutes and actually fixed the issues. In that time, Brian had already offered to come over - THIS is what my new friends do for me?! WOW! :D

I left at 2 on a 414 to see Rachel at the Caring Place. Then I went to Shoppers to buy a Stouffer's Saute Sensations Country Beef Pot Roast microwaveable meal, a President's Choice meat lasagna for a future hangout which is not tomorrow afternoon (expires on December 12), Ben and Jerry's Peanut Butter Cookie Dough / Chocolate Milk and Cookies ice cream, Breyers Delights ice cream in Vanilla Cupcake plus Creamy Chocolate, and President's Choice mango ice cream! Should be yummy!

After I FINALLY got a 401 after FOUR 408 Ironwood buses in a row and a 407 at Brighouse after waiting since 4:10, I went to the pharmacy next door to see if I could get my eyedrops prescription filled before they closed. Adam could do it right then, but I didn't have time to chat or to wait for the previous chatty customer to finish because I had frozen things in my bag, so I was in a rush by default! The instructions are the same, anyway. I got home at 4:45 and FINALLY shoved everything into the freezer, almost before the items started really melting! Good thing I can probably get Chinese Eric to help with opening the eyedrops tomorrow if I remember... so I put them on the table with the low-tech blue guestbook and everything else!

I showered and did laundry today. Gotta make sure the NEW dragon hoodie and three NEW MARTEX towels are washed and (more importantly) dried properly! Since I had to do yet ANOTHER round to dry the hoodie sleeves properly (SO MUCH towel and hoodie lint!), I bit the bullet and called Hester. Yes, I could get more a href="https://glowing-dragon.dreamwidth.org/6147816.html">laundry tokens (August 27, 2018) AND two mousetraps! Too bad she didn't say where she was until I had to go back to my suite and called her back... THEN I noticed that during all of that, Chinese Eric had called me, so I called him back to see what was up. The Canucks played the Ducks at 7 tonight, and lost 5-4.

After COFFEE TIME, Barry picked me up at 12:30 for my 1 PM eye appointment at the clinic. Everything is a go for the eye surgery on May 8, and we talked about the nice weather outside. When I got home at 1:45, I had another COFFEE TIME! The Canucks played Chicago at 5:30 today, and won 3-2 in overtime! It's MARIO DAY today! I had to leave really early after DOUBLE COFFEE TIME because I had to walk to Brighouse station - thanks, endless sewer upgrades and construction! I had the on-sale Lindt chocolate bars (Caramel and Sea Salt / Lime Zest) for Harmony's EARLY family birthday dinner at Como Taperia! (early in more ways than one...) I killed time by purchasing a replacement red sweatshirt at H and M, where I also saw a DRAGON HOODIE! :D

We had a bunch of seafood and tapas (octopus / garlic and bread soup / (mashed) potatoes / eggs) while baby Beckett screamed happily at me (rivaling the restaurant's 80s music), Ayler wanted to check the weather everywhere, and Hiero liked constructing Cheerio towers through his toothpicks. After dinner, Hiero said he wasn't tired despite losing an hour of sleep - good for you! I AM! Mom said she had to pay more money to prevent me from accessing data, and that the dinner was $168; if you think I feel guilty about that, YOU'RE WRONG! Then we had to go to Auntie Eva's to drop something off before the parental trip to Hong Kong to see Great-Aunt and cruise around. At least they'll be away from Wednesday to the end of March! I finally got home at 6:45!

Random stuff from Mom and Dad: A black buttoned Louben jacket, a light blue Vancouver 2010 zippered jacket, an orange Top Shop sleeveless vest. preserved Young Coconut cookies, a blue buttoned jacket, a white Monument sweater vest, and a reddish-purple London Fog winter coat.

Yesterday, I called Chinese Eric to see if he could give me a ride to Jeremy's or back home. He called me back on his lunch break (at 1:20 BEFORE I left to see Rachel), and he was planning to take transit to work at the Art Gallery and then go straight to Jeremy's. I hoped Kevin could drive me to Broadway Station again since white Eric can't make it because of his hockey commitments! I had to leave really early for Jeremy's place because I had to walk to Brighouse station - thanks, endless sewer upgrades and construction! Luckily, I found an in-service bus stop at Alderbridge, so I killed time at Shoppers, buying Korean BBQ Kettle Chips x3 and some Nair. FUCKING JIMMY! Got to Dude Chilling Park at 6:10, which was slightly early. Kingsgate Mall was closing, too.

I met up with Jeremy (so we could all see his new flooring / baseboards and test some marbles on it), Christon, Kevin, Chinese Eric, and Randal. Christon made some pulled pork, chicken and coleslaw. We had my Indomie Mi Goreng chips / various beers (like the cocoa / vanilla Winter Ale) / salsa / Que Pasa chips, called Eric Ho to see where he was, figured out the long wifi password (which Jeremy didn't think much of at first - but then realized he'd never seen me with a smartphone before), discussed my eye surgeries and Jeremy's nose surgery / Huawei / the Rugby Sevens / Uniqlo / Muji / Daiso / real estate / wedding planning / people with 4400 to 5000 Facebook friends, the Lucky Charms Saturday Morning beer for St. Patrick's Day, and waited for Jon to get there even later. I wanted to go home at 10, but nope - I had to wait for 45 more minutes, despite Chinese Eric wanting to head home right after the game ended at 9:30!

Jeremy loved the blurb for the Lucky Charms beer and laughed at it, at least! Kevin did indeed drive me to Broadway Station, while Jon and Chinese Eric got rides back home from Randal. Yeah, that wasn't too bad. I ended up getting home at around midnight on a 401 (passing up a 407 at Brighouse), and was surprised that I was still somewhat awake, since I'd gone to bed at 9:45 yesterday. I did make myself some hot chocolate to warm up from the cold weather. The Canucks played the Knights at 7 tonight, and lost 6-2. Not good if it was 5-1 at the end of the first... 3-0 after the first twelve minutes!

I also learned that this construction will be 24/7 till the end of May... they're an exemption to the noise bylaw?! WHAT THE FUCK!

It's International Women's Day today! After DOUBLE COFFEE TIME, I left the apartment at 1:55 because I had to walk to Brighouse station and be on time to see Rachel at The Caring Place - thanks, endless construction and sewer upgrades! I even got a snack of a mixed fruit bar, grape juice, and a Smarties chocolate egg for International Women's Day at the end of the session. PHEW! * Steph, Lisa, Fraser, Henry, and Havarti: "Sarne! Happy 41st birthday from your loving sister, sister-in-law, and FAVORITE nephews! (Haha! We know it even if you don't say it!) Love from Hamilton. See you in November! Steph, Lisa, Fraser, Henry, and Havarti."

* card from Pathways

* Christon: "Happy Birthday, Leslie! I know this card makes fun of our age, but I have realized how long we have known each other, and despite all the different turns of events in our lives, we have been able to keep in touch through birthdays of friends and our own, so that has been pretty cool! Enjoy another year with good friends and food. I pray that this year be a good one for you! Cheers! Christon."

* Eric M.: "Happy 41st Birthday, Leslie. Hope you have a good year to come. The rides to and from church aren't as interesting without you on board ready to disembark at No. 4 Rd. and Alderbridge Way. Just don't let a fart out in a crowded elevator... or a US Navy Aircraft Carrier. Trump will consider it an act of war. Eric."
