It's Earth Day 2020 today! I also temporarily got QUADRUPLE DIGITS IN MY BANK ACCOUNT again! Hopefully, my spending habits are a little better than they were the LAST time this happened! Also, I won't need to give $900 of my own money for a family trip like the ICBC insurance settlement. Of course, that only lasted for the time it took me to go banking, never mind grocery shopping! I think I'll just continue my usual money habits this time.

After dealing with a stupid Reddit Vancouver troll, I went banking and shopping at 11:25 AM on a 407 with my Asian old lady shopping cart, noting that the 414 shuttle bus would be discontinued next week as per a sign at the bus stop. Briefly peeked into London Drugs, and at least I didn't have to walk all the way around the block from Moore's clothing store to get to Royal Bank this time, unlike LAST payday! I got NEW Iogo cherry yogurt, NEW on-sale Oikos strawberry-raspberry / Zesty lemon-lime Greek yogurts x2, NEW Lysol Click Gel toilet bowl cleaner x3 (SPRING WATERFALL!) which was really easy for me to unwrap and apply, on-sale Earth's Own original almond milk, a NEW on-sale Tao Kae Noi BIG SPICY SEAWEED ROLL box with nine of them, chocolate orange Jaffa Cakes, and Shin Ramyun Black CUP noodles x2.

Also purchased NEW Western Family regular grated Parmesan cheese (green), NEW Western Family light grated Parmesan cheese (yellow), NEW Pulmuone Katsuo Soba Ramen noodles, NEW Ottogi Super-Spicy Yeul Ramen noodles, NEW Ottogi sesame ramen noodles with an egg block, Western Family mixed frozen vegetables AFTER TWO MONTHS, and a LUCKY 24-pack of Purex toilet paper. When I got home at 2:15 on a 407 with a nice friendly understanding bus driver, I paid my Shaw and hydro bills online. after text exchanges with both Erics about life, I went out again at 7:05 and luckily got another 12-pack of Purex double rolls along with some Old Dutch Restaurante salsa con queso (cheese salsa) and a big bag of Western Family mixed frozen vegetables for more peace of mind.

I also got Green Works toilet bowl cleaner x2 since I can just turn the cap and not have to squeeze it in impossible or difficult positions like I have to do with Lysol or Scrubbing Bubbles. London Drugs also has this, and I forgot about this till now. Got home at 8:10 on a 407 and tested out the Starfrit jar opener on the salsa jar. I hit the jar on the counter first to hopefully break the seal, tried opening it a few times, then I made a mistake by tilting the jar.... I think after that spill, I'll postpone a shower and laundry till at least tomorrow!

How Much Toilet Paper? The Toilet Paper Calculator For Quarantine / Isolation!

We were so bored in Ceriam's Discord server that we were sharing photos of our computer / tech setups. Stallings said that my handwriting on the latest version of my shopping list was pretty, so I thanked him for the compliment.

Andrew came over at 5:15 today, after sleeping in. Hey, no worries, I told him. He didn't want to bother with the whole parking pass rigmarole, which I admit IS annoying. We discussed my eye surgery last year, Merritt, family updates, Search Everything, Chrome, my computer settings, computer drivers, pooping 187 times a day to use up a LOT of toilet paper, his wanting to know the programs so he can determine what's going on (which I understand), and fixing the tangled phone cord. He was over for about an hour, and left at 6:45 or so, not finding anything inherently wrong which would cause the computer to freeze! All temperatures are in very normal ranges since I'm underutilizing the computer's power. Nope, this is not a heavy-duty gaming rig!

He cut me a break on his fee (as Mike said) when I asked what the damage was, since he didn't really do too much: $20 cash sounds much better than $40, even during these times! I thought he would say that his kid stayed at his place so long that the pandemic happened during a week's extension, but it turned out to be much worse! We talked about lining up to shop at Superstore and other places now, and raising his rates six months ago - I know that a full tank of gas plus three jerry cans in the States is value! Or it was, but now we can't just go down there for cheap gas.

He did notice that the computer mouse stopped momentarily whenever the computer made a musical noise, but that wouldn't cause things to freeze... of course, the computer WOULD freeze shortly AFTER he left. It's not like I could have reproduced the issue on demand! At his request / upon his request, I did record a rather choppy phone video of me flipping off the power switch at the back and then turning on the power button again. Sigh. I did update Eric as well via text while noticing some weird font issues on my computer, possibly related to Andrew deleting WonderShare and some other programs. Yes, Andrew is still anti-Windows 10. Still, he has to keep current...

I called Ayler briefly at 6:30 after Jon said at 6 that they were still eating dinner. Jon said that it was Phone Call Overdose at their place - from what Ayler describes about his phone list, that's probably very true about overload! Ayler asked what I did for the 7 PM cheer for the doctors and nurses; did I poke my head out of the balcony window and yell? I said I did. I asked what HE did for the cheer, which led to a bunch of drumming on a metal object on the other end and Hiero explaining it. That definitely would create some noise and be appropriate! I said that fire engines, police cars, and ambulances showed up right outside my window for the 7 PM cheer. He asked about the world's oldest woman right now - 117 years old - and wondered where I got my Guinness World Records books from. The bookstore, but I was looking these things up online as he asked about them.

I told him that I'd gone for a walk at Minoru Park, then heard nothing, so I hung up. He called back to say that he'd pushed the MUTE button by accident instead of the VOLUME button. "You're lucky I called you back... before you got busy!" Gee, thanks! Totally understandable, and I said I understood it was an accident - not a big deal at ALL! (he needs that) He said he and Hiero were working on a 500-piece puzzle, which he might have told me before, but sometimes he forgets things. Of course I also said THAT was okay because I do the same thing! I told him that I'm glad he's my nephew, too.

Hiero was busy preparing his drumming and Beckett was busy just carrying his blanket around. Sounds normal to me! "Any other ideas about our day before anything? I can't talk to your family because you live by yourself." He wants to talk again in "a few" days, meaning Sunday or Monday. Fine by me! People who complain about loud noises should know that it'll start around 7 EVERY EVENING, and prepare themselves or their pets accordingly BEFOREHAND! It only lasts for about two to five minutes TOPS! Unless you have a baby who JUST got to sleep, then you don't get to complain!

I went out at 6:20 for more grocery shopping at Price Smart and London Drugs: Western Family baked beans x4 (tomato sauce / maple syrup / pork and tomato sauce / pork and molasses), Heinz baked beans with chili spice, Heinz Spaghetti, Kraft Dinner x2 for macaroni and cheese (Extra Creamy and Underwater Shapes), Old Dutch Foods Canada thin and twisted pretzels, Knorr Garlic Butter and Lemon Sidekicks, a Splash foliage shower curtain and Splash shower curtain hooks (which I should have bought in February so Chinese Eric could have helped me with that BEFORE current events), two Martex / Bamboo white towels, and All-Bran Canada Buds! Got home at 7:25 and did some laundry.

I went out at 10:20 AM to get some Silk almond milk (the real reason I went to the store), NEW Tostitos Homestyle Salsa tortilla chips / NEW Que Pasa Twist of Lime chips / Heluva Good! French Onion dip to prepare for Chips and Dip Days tomorrow (Sunday) and Monday, 400 more Mead index cards, on-sale Hazelnut / Peanut Butter M and Ms, and a $2 Fry's Peppermint Cream bar. My Tostitos Homestyle Salsa tortilla chips did not exist in the self-checkout (they had to override it with a FOOD code)... and a lady just yelled at the 401 bus driver for "not stopping" when we are all supposed to board at the back doors now... I got home at 11:05 on a 407, at least.

After COFFEE TIME, I went out at 11:40 on a 414 to help with the kids, but first went to Dublin Crossing Pub. Noticed the Canada Line was slightly slower on the tracks, but that's fine since it snowed yesterday and had pretty much melted today. I had to go in early to help by staying with a sick Hiero at home while Jon and Beckett did school pickup. I had an ahi tuna bowl at Dublin Crossing and bought a mocha Starbucks / on-sale pomegranate Canada Dry ginger ale at Shoppers, which had a sign saying that the store was sold out of Asian face masks and hand sanitizer! Luckily, I built in extra time to wait for the 3 bus - thank goodness it wasn't late, but it did have an alarm delay and other things going on with the passengers... I FINALLY got to the house at 2:10! After some Jello and other food, Jon and Beckett left the house to go pick Ayler up from school. Hiero and I read some CHARLIE BROWN storybook, and I let him have a little bit of my ginger ale.

When everyone else got home, I switched from reading on the couch (and exposure to germs) to playing on the mat with Beckett. He had learned HELP, POO, AYA (for Ayler), MAGNET, OPEN, MONKEY, DRAGON, HELLO (to make the coin purses inside-out), and JOW for JELLO... and also picked up OKAY from me tonight. At 4, Ayler asked when I was leaving - gee, thanks! Jon let him know what people would think when he asked him that, and clarified to me that he was just curious about time. (of course!) Turns out Jon had a few music students; Beckett was interested in the silver things on Kayla's guitar (so tried re-tuning it) AND her green guitar pick on the black piano bench, thought everyone calling to come over was Jon's student Dean, and was generally curious. Later, we had bean soup and French onion soup with bread for dinner. Ayler asked about apostrophes, a gratitude list (the "big Jello" item was pretty funny!), what "philosophy" meant, and wondered who would win his eating competition.

Hiero seemed pretty out of it for sure, lying down on the couch when he wasn't fighting with Ayler. He wanted ANOTHER day off school tomorrow despite his snow day yesterday from his mom. I just talked to Beckett about the toy balls, tested whether he knew what things were, and didn't mind if he wanted to play with the "boh-boh" on my shirt OR socks. He showed me a stack of dry noodles and said "Noo-noo!" (his word for "noodles") For my own amusement, I asked him if he would eat them all. He said "okay" - not that he ever would or could right now! He still likes to look out the window to see some lights across the street, which is cute. Jon left and came back later to teach yet another student, and I finally left at 8, having probably just missed a 3 bus, and got home at 9:35 on a 407. Lots of people wearing Asian face masks today!

After COFFEE TIME, I went out at 3:15 (first refilling my yearly prescription at the pharmacy next door) on a 401 (JUST IN TIME) to help with the kids. I had to leave room for a suitcase and also remember to get to the house after 4:35 because of a water shutoff till 4. Lovely! I killed time at the Save-On nearby, and when Harmony said they were fine at 4:35, I said I'd be there soon, but made a necessary pit stop at Kwong Chow first. That meant I washed my hands twice within ten minutes, but whatever. The replacement black carry-on suitcase looked okay, and I later found out that ALL the zippers were fine and that it was way easier to handle and maneuver! When I got there just after 5, Beckett wanted to see me and say hi in his own way - so cute! Harmony said that Jon was doing his West Vancouver holiday gig, which is totally worth it, but means a little extra work on everyone else's part. Ayler wanted to know why, haha. My nephews are smart and curious kids!

Hiero wanted to show me his "enchanted airplane," Ayler wanted to show me some piano techniques and quiz me on piano (and quizzing me on math at dinner), and Beckett just wanted to show me all his balls and have this cute confused look when the balls wouldn't go through the holes in that wooden toy. He did go over to the far windowsill (almost obscured by the curtain) and play with the toy molecule rod and balls there while looking at the lights across the street. (and did it with the near window, too - spouting gibberish as usual) I found another emotion egg later and gave it to him. He wanted to go after the pom-pom on my Santa hat (Harmony thought that was funny), explore my bling shirt, and gently touched the keloid scar on my neck later out of curiosity. (I told him that this wasn't a "ball-ball") He climbed on top of Ayler, who didn't like that, and then climbed on top of Hiero, who was a bit more acquiescent. When he threw the balls around and pointed at them, I asked him if he wanted me to go get them. After a pause, he said "yeah," so I said okay. Hiero wasn't sure if he knows what that means, but he did say "wow" tonight for the first time!

Beckett also has discovered the apartment door, and sometimes crawls to it for whatever reason. I picked him up and got him out of there, of course. He wanted to sit on my lap and "read" the 100 Words baby book, which I of course let him do because he's much lighter than his brothers and my legs don't complain! I did have a toe cramp much later, but it was okay within a few minutes of agony. We had beef tendon and beef brisket with broad white noodles and vegetables for dinner - even with cereal, Beckett didn't eat much. Harmony crammed some Rice Krispies into his mouth later a few times when he was preoccupied with me and the toys, otherwise he'll be way too hungry tomorrow morning! She bought some stuff on the Black Friday sales, and I told the kids about the KFC 50% Bowls and Buckets deal yesterday when Harmony was gone temporarily. Hiero asked if I wanted to buy it - not after I heard the website was pretty broken! Ayler asked me what a website was, so I asked him if he remembers Kids Physio. His face brightened at that: YES! I told him that a lot of stores and businesses and people had websites on the Internet these days. He seemed to accept this explanation. I didn't mind if Harmony gave Beckett some shortbread at all.

I left at 7:30 and was thankfully able to catch the 3 Marine Drive bus earlier instead of later, and got home at 8:40 on a 407 in time to catch the last five minutes of the second period. The Canucks played Ottawa tonight at 7, and won 5-2 on the Alex Burrows Ring of Honor evening! Fantenberg and MacEwen got their first goals! I also managed to pack everything into that suitcase without anything breaking or being overstuffed... SUCCESS!

Since I didn't have to help out with the kids today, I stayed home to wallow in redrum unglory, haha. I felt bad because I had genuinely forgotten to give the cleaner a $20 cash tip yesterday (and remembered the time when Eric made us go back to the Pho place next door to church so I could give them a tip for dinner), so after some procrastination, called the EcoClean number given in my text reminder yesterday at 3:55. No, an e-transfer wouldn't work as far as I knew, and neither would a credit card payment on my own non-existent credit card if I didn't want it getting back to my family. The guy said he'd call her and see what she wanted to do.

Someone knocked on my door at 6:30, and it turned out to be the cleaner, who actually lives in Richmond! SHE thought I was paying for the service in cash, and wanted to call her boss, but I clarified. I said that I didn't want her to think that someone deliberately didn't tip her since I definitely wanted to show her some appreciation (especially since she was doing it all by herself), so she thanked me and gave me a big hug after I gave her $20 in cash fresh from my wallet. I should get more envelopes since I have no idea where my other ones are! At least my laundry token seed money of $20 is still intact!

The Canucks played Edmonton tonight at 7 in their first game of the 2019-2020 NHL season, and lost 3-2. Chinese Eric texted me yesterday afternoon wanting to come over today at 4 after lunch and errands, so I resigned myself to a lot of talking and said yes, getting the parking pass ready. I did have to give him the strawberry / original / mango / banana / peach / melon / apple Milkis cans, after all, and could also use him to pick up a carton of almond milk that I forgot last week at the store. He came by at 4 after COFFEE TIME and SHOWER TIME, wanting to watch the Leafs game, but also picked up a carton of almond-coconut milk from the store instead of the almond milk I wanted, saying that I'd failed to specify. IF I WANTED NASTY COCONUT MILK (WHICH I DON'T), I'D HAVE SAID SO! We did try the Dr. Oetker salted caramel cheesecake, which was okay. Then he said that printing out the Canucks schedule was a waste of paper - he should have seen how much paper I wasted on things which weren't perfect to me! Besides, it works for me when I want to plan stuff during the hockey season - SO THERE!

He left at 5 to exchange the milk at Price Smart... GOOD! By that time, I'd composed the email to him / white Eric / Jeremy (who'd thanked me for my "Happy Birthday" email earlier) / Jon / Christon / Randal about his proposed 12 Kings hangout on October 22 to watch the Raptors championship banner unveiling after we figured out WHY their first preseason game was at 3 AM. (it's in Tokyo...) We had Western Family 8-vegetable lasagna with multigrain pasta for dinner: Carrots / green and red Bell peppers / spinach / zucchini / cauliflower / broccoli / black olives! Also talked about his seeing Corey Hirsch at the art gallery, the Leafs-Senators game (Toronto won 5-3), bottled water, his doing the dishes, live-action remakes of things like ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS and ALADDIN, "you know" all the time (FILLER ANNOYANCE!), McDonalds / Tim Horton's hockey cards, that Grow-A-Husband, my guestbook, the SIMPSONS, Channel 22 highlights, and more. Then he finally left soon after the game ended, at 9:40. Now it's time for video game music to relax!

Later, I tried to get Hester to give me some laundry tokens (March 26, 2019). She said that they were going out right now, but I could have some if I came by immediately. So I did, but she was STILL not impressed because I should have taken the "nearest" stairs so she wouldn't have to wait three minutes, which is apparently an inconvenience. Well, maybe she should work on the building's elevator which has been out of service for five weeks, and replacing the dryer which has been out of commission for three months! Then when I left her door, she said that I should take the "nearest" stairs - no, because I'd still have to walk down a long hallway regardless! I told her NO! I'm going to do what works best for me, and it's just TOO BAD if my disability and walking speed causes her to wait a few more minutes to leave the building since they haven't invented teleportation for real yet! The Canucks played the Senators again tonight at 7 in Preseason Game #7 (the penultimate!), and lost 6-2.

I left at 11:20 on a 407 to go to London Drugs to get new scissors. I couldn't find Scotch scissors or Ekco kitchen scissors, so I got Kortari kitchen scissors instead while getting some NEW Tazo Chai Tea for National Chai Day today on September 21. Got home at 12:05 on a 407, and texted white Eric for a ride tonight. Things worked out even if Darryl now can't come since he'll be all tapped out by tonight with MAGIC: THE GATHERING and other things going on today. I understand even if he did acknowledge that he's being a flake! Definitely shower time now!

After DOUBLE COFFEE TIME, I left at 1:05 on a 407 for a sober BBQ, bringing along my Ziploc bag of utensils and a couple bags of regular chips. I also stopped by Shoppers at Richmond Centre to buy 100 No Name garbage bags for almost $20 because the Western Family ones under my sink were getting nasty! I shouldn't store anything under there now! YES, I wiped that area!

Good thing I had Luke's number because I thought it was at Sunset PARK (much closer!) instead of Sunset BEACH all the way downtown! ("Why go all the way down there?!" was what I texted Luke at the community centre... he laughed and later said that he liked me and my honesty) I texted Eric Ho and messaged Corey and Mike out of frustration as well, but eventually managed to make it there at about 4 by taking the 49 UBC to Langara Station, then to Yaletown-Roundhouse, then the 23 Beach shuttle bus across the street to Pacific / Jervis (right after Bute), where Luke eventually met me after I accidentally texted him from the bike path. Oops! I stepped off the path after that.

I met a few people like Luke (who's the real MVP), TJ, Anant, Cami, and Faith / Violet. YES, VIOLET AND I ARE THE SAME HEIGHT! We discussed bearded dragons, geckos, hiking, hummus, baby carrots, Beyond Meat sausages, Veggie Crisps chips, BBQ sauce, ketchup, future hangouts, canoeing, renting problems, work, cannabis, my Miss Vickie's "fancy" Signatures Hickory Salted chips AND Ziploc bag full of utensils (Faith thought I'd just meant a fork or something!), Josephine, Tony and Michelle NOT being mods anymore (thank CHRIST!), and other things. We left at 6, and I determined that Term wasn't going home, but to the airport instead to pick up his brother. Going uphill with all my bulky heavy crap was JUST about doable... Finally got home at 7:10 thanks to the 407 cooperating and being later at Brighouse than the posted schedule, and I definitely had to have some whiskey!

Edit: I found out that Paul texted me at 7:45 to thank me for something, so I was wondering what was up with that. Turns out he wanted to thank me for today's beach hangout, which I was not involved in organizing at ALL. Strange... no wonder he needs his own space!

Eric M. unexpectedly called me at 2:50 to say that Eric Ho and a few of the guys were going to watch the Toronto Raptors play the Golden State Warriors in an NBA playoff game (Game 2) at 12 Kings, and wondered if I'd like to go. I said sure, why not. (much better freedom without Jimmy around!) He said he'd pick me up around 4:30 or so, and did. While I was waiting, I discovered that he'd texted me about the hangout at noon. Oops! At least we managed to work it out in the end!

Then Eric managed to drop me off in front of the pub after using his phone to navigate his way to 12 Kings. I tried texting Chinese Eric to see where he was, but got no answer. Jeremy came in a few minutes later and we managed to find Chinese Eric and Randal while white Eric was parking. After saying hi, I was still not impressed, so told him to answer his fucking texts, in those words. He said that he'd been talking to Randal, but it's TIME-SENSITIVE! "WHERE ARE YOU?" should be answered IMMEDIATELY! UGH! Yes, I'm being a hypocrite about this. Oh well. Randal gave me a LOOK, but whatever. At least we can be casual acquaintances now, which is okay by me. Eric implied that he wasn't going to invite me, but since Christon was dragging Alice along, he thought of me. Gee, thanks!

We talked about Yellow Dog Play Dead IPA, sharing a platter of nachos / olives / jalapenos / cheese eventually (we paid Chinese Eric back $4.50 each), Obama being in the building for the basketball game, my Reddit mobile being VERY SLOW and not loading (but it eventually did a while later), instant noodles, spicy noodles not good for the stomach, Christon and Alice's fried food, Eric's club sandwich, current events, Jon organizing this but not making it because of teaching, and Nathan being back in town till Christon's wedding, the CFL and BC Lions games / tickets, Jeremy's brother Mark doing well in Seattle, and keeping in touch with people online. When I noticed that Randal was reading The New Evil: Understanding the Emergence of Modern Violent Crime (Michael H. Stone, Gary Brucato, Ann W. Burgess), I had to show him MY current reading material: The Most Evil Women in History (Shelley Klein) - HAHAHA! Randal mentioned that he'd thought of me while picking his book up at the library, and Jeremy laughed at the coincidence, because great minds think alike!

Chinese Eric wasn't impressed that the Raptors lost 109-104, but nobody else in the pub to watch the game was, either. He also owes me an extra 50 cents because he didn't carry cash or expect me to have the London Drugs receipt for the Indomie Mi Goreng Chitato chips. We finally left about an hour after the game, at 8:30. Those stairs at the pub are not disability-friendly since they have no handrail, forcing me to jump the last step, LIKE I DID LAST TIME ON MARCH 12! It wasn't too far to the car, which is fine. Eric got a text message while he was driving into Richmond, which he hoped wasn't Chinese Eric texting him that he was lost on the way to his own car. He said he could give me a ride to Christon's wedding (which is on the same day as Mike Kwan's), but that I'd have to remind him closer to the date since it's so far away now. I totally understand!

My parents are on a cruise and didn't let me know, so I wasted my time calling them to get their voicemail multiple times yesterday! Then Dad emailed me to say that they could call me from the shore at 8:30, but then emailed me again at 8 to say that they were still on the ship. Since I don't want to deal with stressful and inconvenient phone calls in the morning when I'm trying to shower and get out the door, I just PMed Brian about it instead since Paulo said he could be good for this sort of thing. To be fair, we had discussed it yesterday just in case. Thank goodness for friends since he agreed to do this for me! He doesn't even have to stay for the entire four hours! I also got to text Pothead Mike for the first time, so YAY! (and talked to Jon via FB Messenger for a bit about the surgery and other things)

Brian and Holly seemed to be making plans for $4 wings at Moxie's tonight, so in a moment of rare spontaneity, I decided to join them, Paulo, and Darryl. Turns out Jeremy and Jeff were invited too, but that was okay. I thought Brian was giving Paulo a ride too, but I guess not. At least he was willing to give me a ride through all the construction crap at about 6! After navigating through cul-de-sacs near Bridgeport, we finally found a way to Moxie's after he met me at the hospital entrance and talking about Pettersen / Quinn Hughes. Of course I had to wear my new red DRAGON HOODIE!

We found everyone except Paulo at the back patio, so we settled in on ordering wings. Of course I had to have some hot wings since it wasn't a share plate like last time! I got hot wings AND salt and pepper wings (which were dry, but that's okay), plus Brian offered a honey garlic wing to me, so I took it. We talked about cooking a Big Mac and Coke in a rice cooker (only in Japan), online people, the Rock's cheat day of a massive sushi meal, Instagram, Caesar salad, Paulo finally being able to make it, MAGIC: THE GATHERING, various meetups, cheap Costco food, other wings deals, sashimi, 7-11 food, getting a microwave from Craigslist, and our plans for the rest of the week.

Said bye personally to Darryl before going off with Brian and Paulo for a few minutes of air. We then talked about some personal stuff, not being able to tell if things were jokes or real invites, a need for a mental break being understandable, the brain telling us that things are false even when we try to convince others that they're real, and directions. Yes, I was thanked for listening - I like this! I got home at 8:55, which wasn't too bad at all.

I showered and did laundry today. Gotta make sure the NEW dragon hoodie and three NEW MARTEX towels are washed and (more importantly) dried properly! Since I had to do yet ANOTHER round to dry the hoodie sleeves properly (SO MUCH towel and hoodie lint!), I bit the bullet and called Hester. I called Dr. Wise's office at 11:15 because I'd run out of the Prolensa and Simbrinza eyedrops, and I'm starting to really feel a difference. I had to rest today because my eyes felt really weird like they did right after surgery. Luckily, I could pick them up this afternoon (being a Friday) before they closed at 4. I got there at 2:10 or so, and even got them to open ALL the ridiculously tiny eyedrops bottles x4 for me! PHEW!

On my way home, I just missed a Brighouse train from Yaletown-Roundhouse (where I FINALLY found the elevator to bypass the stairs), so I took a Waterfront train to stay on there so I could go to Broadway Station. I went to No Frills where I was confused by the self-checkout machine, which is nothing new. At least I got help! Bought three pounds of Parkay margarine (which I haven't bought since April 25, 2018?!) and President's Choice Kettle-Cooked Jalapeno chips. I stopped by the pharmacy next door after getting off a 401 at 3:40, and also refilled my birth control pills prescription. Everything is done - YAY!

Then Eric Ho FINALLY emailed me back to say that he's glad my eye surgery and recovery are going well, and we can get together around February 26 or a little later. Does he not know what an expiry date or deadline for the Boston Pizza Online offer is?! I want my free Bandera Pizza Bread, dammit! I'll just splurge and order delivery tonight since I somehow have more extra money in my bank account... I don't trust him to not come over before the offer expires. I eventually settled on a medium BBQ chicken pizza (which I haven't had since September 2016), a medium Meateor pizza for 50% off (which I haven't had since the last time I had pizza in August 2018 for Chinese Eric's birthday), and my free Bandera Pizza Bread with dips and cheese. There goes $57!

The computer restarted at 6 AM! I called Barry at 9:40 this morning to remind him about going to Rona for a Victor Pest Chaser Ultrasonic Rodent Repeller, which cost $33. I went to the pharmacy next door at 1:50 to refill my prescription early; yes, even Adam commented on it!

I left at 5:55 to get two 3-subject Hilroy notebooks in green and light blue (for home use and road use) from London Drugs, returning home at 6:40 on a late 407. CHOCOLATE AND BATHROOM REPLACEMENTS GALORE AGAIN, and today's date is a palindrome: 8/1/18! Yesterday, Frances C. emailed me to say that she couldn't make it to Felico's because of work, which is fine. I went out at 12 on a 401 so I could buy Campbell's Chunky Soup (Jerk Chicken with Vegetables / Butter Chicken with Vegetables), NESCAFÉ instant coffee (December 16, 2017), a NEW on-sale limited edition Oh Henry! Canada / Oh Henry 4:25 Pop-Up candy bar, barkTHINS snacking dark chocolate with pumpkin seeds for Thanksgiving dinner, NEW limited edition Doritos Late Night Fully-Loaded Nacho chips, and HALLS assorted mint cough drops. I went out at 12:20 on a 414 to do some shopping for on-sale Halloween candy and Advent calendars. While I was there, I mailed the Soo black pepper salmon jerky and a Christmas card to Kramer / Merlin / Poohbear / Kitsune in a bubble-wrap envelope... plus Christmas cards to Julie (moonshar), Sheryll (sheryll), Kitty (bornwitch / dutch_kitty), Deanna (endlessblush) [and a bonus birthday card], Corey (dwcorey) [and a bonus birthday card], Kelli (neonrose5), and Steph / Lisa / Fraser / Henry / Havarti. LONDON DRUGS NOW HAS A PUBLIC CUSTOMER RESTROOM AGAIN - YAY! Bonus: The woman cashier's name was LUCKY, and SHE didn't comment on all the "heavy" items! I got home at 5:25 on an early 407, which is fine, too.

Chinese Eric finally emailed me back about a limited time for a Canucks hockey hangout - PHEW! I left at 4:30 in the rainy weather for Harmony's family birthday party at So Hyang Restaurant at Fraser and 47th after COFFEE TIME. We had beef bulgogi, pork bone soup, Korean noodles, deep-fried dumplings, rice, tea, kimchi, potatoes, and various other sides. Ayler and Hiero told me about the trams, cable cars, bridges, and other things in San Francisco; apparently, they were in Richmond yesterday for dinner at a place on Westminster, too. Later, Ayler wanted to feel my belly to see if I had a baby inside me, and asked Harmony how old my "baby" was; Jon says that this was unprompted. Yeah sure, yaz ugfart! Mom wants to have a turkey dinner on Thursday night, so Eric had better get back to me soon... I got home at 7:15 on a 407. Hell, I got leftovers!

GREEN TEA TIME! I noted that Chinese Eric had called me last night while I was trying to decide about Jimmy (not worth it - I also talked to Helen Y. about things), so I called him back this morning. Auntie answered the phone and we exchanged Chinese New Year greetings once I told her who I was. Then he called me on his lunch break in the afternoon at 1:10; thank goodness I caught it at 1:45! All the snow from last night has melted (yay!), and he asked whether I'd like him to use a Domino's Pizza coupon - of course! We're Asian, after all!

He ended up not coming over (which I figured by 7:35), so I stashed some stuff away for later since I don't want it in my face: I have SOME dignity, after all! It also surprised me that Teunis added me to Facebook again, since I was totally fine with his not following me online last June, and understood why without his having to explicitly say so. We'll probably just be Facebook acquaintances, which I am totally okay with. The Canucks played the Panthers at 7 tonight, and lost 4-3. YOU CAN'T GIVE UP FOUR GOALS IN THE FIRST PERIOD!

If you have a problem with my taking the Lord's name in vain, SHUT IT. I'm not dealing with the ridiculous Disqus swear filter that Not Always Right admins keep changing so that even circumventing workarounds might not go through. All those comments are permanently in moderation. "Jesus Christ" gets through, is convenient to use when I'm in a (relative) hurry, and hasn't been banned.... yet.

My headache was gone when I got up this morning - yay!

Bartz, Lenna, Galuf, and Faris complete the Wind Shrine in FINAL FANTASY V SPOOF. They go upstairs to find the shattered Wind Crystal and Lenna's father, King Tycoon. Galuf says, "IT'S ZOMBIE KING TYCOON!"

Vanessa sent me a Facebook message at 5:30 wanting to know what I was doing for dinner tonight. I had nothing planned, but I did wonder whether I had forgotten about something! She wanted to come out to Richmond (either IHOP of Denny's) with her friend Wayne, whom I'd met at her Anton's birthday dinner. Sure, why not? I needed a break, anyway! I took a shower, and they were here at 6:30 or so. We talked about Jason ruining her day by not bringing eggs for her pancakes today, her vanilla milkshake and calcium, my country fried steak / toast / strawberry jam / broccoli / mashed potatoes / sausage gravy, the Richmond World Festival, the military, her pregnancy / potential baby names and gender (not Gertrude / Kathleen), her parents' divorce, Wayne's friend Kevin wanting to marry a full-time Twitch streamer from England, Vanessa's friend cutting off a friendship with a bridezilla named Marilyn who slapped her and berated her in front of a whole crowd of people, our stupid brothers, her parents' divorce, and the changes around Richmond. I definitely needed the break, and got home at 7:50.

I had a dream where Jimmy was driving me and Tommy in a van somewhere, and Jimmy kept saying that he would choose Tommy over me, even as he dropped him off at a house somewhere before going into Richmond (where we both lived for whatever reason) and hanging out with me at a crowded conference. Okay then, subconscious! I'm probably going to make a new Facebook music group called COME AS YOU ARE, too. Tommy would automatically be blacklisted because of my rule of not typing like a moron. Punctuation is important! Jimmy says he wouldn't choose him over me, so we'll see.

Today is also Nephew #3 Fraser's SECOND BIRTHDAY! Jon sent me a Facebook message about coming over tomorrow at about 12:15 since they could use my help in feeding and entertaining the kids before / during Jon's teaching at 12:30. Ha! Good luck with feeding them lunch (or any meal, really) in 15 minutes! But I totally understand the need for someone else to keep them generally out of trouble when Daddy is teaching! I also left a message on Chinese Eric's voicemail for his own 37th birthday, too! Then I called Barry about that silverfish issue: somehow, I don't think OFF would solve that problem, but whatever.

Today is Left-Handers Day! I had to deal with a lot of online drama this morning, which involved some rude and condescending Penguins fan named Jennifer who thought that she had an IQ of 169, and that my "attitude problem" could be solved by talking to her. I don't THINK so! Thank goodness Helen Y. understood, while Jimmy could definitely relate, and Tommy was okay with people leaving that Metropolis Division group chat on Facebook. Hopefully, Jimmy and I can forge more of a friendship! I think it's a good sign that he says he trusts me (gotta make sure that stays) and wants me to speak my mind / anything to him. I'll just take this friendship slowly, as per usual.

In FINAL FANTASY VI: THE ETERNAL CRYSTALS, the party finally makes it to the Ancient Castle dungeon. They find Queen Yunalesca's Diary in a room to the right of the throne! "A book, with a gem-encrusted cover... Queen Yunalesca's Diary."

In the GBA version of FINAL FANTASY VI, the diary is simply "The Queen's Diary." It says, "The Queen's Diary... I have fallen in love with Odin. It is a forbidden love, I know... But the flames of passion obey not rule or reason..."

In the SNES version of FINAL FANTASY VI, the diary is even more simple: "Queen's Diary."

This is from the SNES version: If Terra is in the FINAL FANTASY VI party at this point, she will have something to say after everyone reads the Queen's Diary. "Love between a human and an Esper..." Yes, that is her defining character trait!

I went out to the Bay at 3:15 on a 407 for a new 3-pack of Jockey underwear in size 9 (last bought on November 15, 2016) since I needed some partly because of the other day. Thank goodness for extra money in my bank account! Then I went to London Drugs to get Tasty Bite basmati rice and some Arroy-D green curry to go with it, bulk Always pads, 400 index cards, on-sale Guacachips, on-sale Salsitas chips, NEW on-sale Paqui tortilla chips in Grilled Habanero / Cool Salsa Verde flavors, and an on-sale replacement $2 dark blue washcloth. I was surprised when I got home at only 4:25 on another 407!

I went out at 2:40 to get more on-sale President's Choice Blue Menu Six Bean Medley cans at Shoppers Drug Mart as long as they're still 99 cents! The pharmacist next door recognized me and waved at me, so we chatted briefly while waiting for the light to change. Yeah, Richmond smells like shit again today! I got six cans of beans, two on-sale Brookside dark chocolate bags (mango-mangosteen / pomegranate), eight 99-cent White Cheddar and Broccoli Sidekicks (all the available stock on the shelf like last time!), and an on-sale Speed Stick Irish Spring original deodorant before getting home at 3:25 on a 407.

After MORE COFFEE TIME, I went out at 5 (just getting the 401) to see Ayler and Hiero for a while for Ayler's fifth birthday as I'd planned with Harmony yesterday, who said it was sweet of me. I had Hiero's peace sign / ice cream / cupcake / doughnut / SESAME STREET / cats with sunglasses stickers and Ayler's emoji / stars / glow-in-the-dark MARVEL Heroes stickers, dinosaur birthday card, Slinky toy, and pre-historic dinosaur toys. Uncle Joe and Auntie Wing Yee were at the house as advertised, and asked if I was staying for an early and simple dinner of rice / broccoli / meat / water. Sure, why not? Ayler asked "why" questions a lot (like "why did Auntie make that face?" Because I had to sneeze!), and he apparently understands the concept of a square root already if you phrase it correctly! Both Harmony and I do not do math, so he'll have to figure it out some other way! Then he asked, "Why did Grandpa say DIE?" and some other things!

At least both boys seemed to love the Slinky (which is higher than them when stretched out), and took a couple of dinosaur toys to the Jacob's Well concert later on. (which I declined to attend) Hiero wanted me to lift him up from his eating chair after he was done eating a tiny mandarin orange for dinner, so I did that. He gave me a few stickers on my jeans, and Ayler talked a lot about the tunnels and ramps at Marine Drive. Hey, I know those because I went past there on the Skytrain to see everyone! At least I managed to get home at 7:20 on a 407, then talked to Lena on FB chat about special snowflakes and pronouns and edgy disrespect from a "friend"!
