How Much Toilet Paper? The Toilet Paper Calculator For Quarantine / Isolation!

We were so bored in Ceriam's Discord server that we were sharing photos of our computer / tech setups. Stallings said that my handwriting on the latest version of my shopping list was pretty, so I thanked him for the compliment.

Andrew came over at 5:15 today, after sleeping in. Hey, no worries, I told him. He didn't want to bother with the whole parking pass rigmarole, which I admit IS annoying. We discussed my eye surgery last year, Merritt, family updates, Search Everything, Chrome, my computer settings, computer drivers, pooping 187 times a day to use up a LOT of toilet paper, his wanting to know the programs so he can determine what's going on (which I understand), and fixing the tangled phone cord. He was over for about an hour, and left at 6:45 or so, not finding anything inherently wrong which would cause the computer to freeze! All temperatures are in very normal ranges since I'm underutilizing the computer's power. Nope, this is not a heavy-duty gaming rig!

He cut me a break on his fee (as Mike said) when I asked what the damage was, since he didn't really do too much: $20 cash sounds much better than $40, even during these times! I thought he would say that his kid stayed at his place so long that the pandemic happened during a week's extension, but it turned out to be much worse! We talked about lining up to shop at Superstore and other places now, and raising his rates six months ago - I know that a full tank of gas plus three jerry cans in the States is value! Or it was, but now we can't just go down there for cheap gas.

He did notice that the computer mouse stopped momentarily whenever the computer made a musical noise, but that wouldn't cause things to freeze... of course, the computer WOULD freeze shortly AFTER he left. It's not like I could have reproduced the issue on demand! At his request / upon his request, I did record a rather choppy phone video of me flipping off the power switch at the back and then turning on the power button again. Sigh. I did update Eric as well via text while noticing some weird font issues on my computer, possibly related to Andrew deleting WonderShare and some other programs. Yes, Andrew is still anti-Windows 10. Still, he has to keep current...

This glitch is from my Discord server: April 4 is today. April 5 is both tomorrow and today. Okay, Discord!

Took a shower tonight and noted that this foliage shower curtain seems to be doing its job right now. It seems to have more coverage area than the old Splash shower curtain, so that's good. There was a lot of noise right outside my window around 6:50 PM - unmarked police cars, marked police cars, sirens, and ambulances! TOTALLY unconnected to the 7 PM cheer for medical workers since that hasn't happened around here!

For April Fools Day 2020, I was Dragon Teacher GranmaFlam in Shiwa's Discord server!

Happy birthday 4: Chocolate cake with candles, holly, and stars!

From Janet on LJ, AKA ghost_light: Batman Happy Birthday! Eric M. and Nathan would like this!

It's been an interesting year in the Vancouver area. I've been doing this Holiday_Wishes thing for 15 years! Email me at flamsterina @ gmail.com for my address, please. I enjoy seeing what the community can do! This year, my baby nephew has grown up and developed a lot, and I'm looking forward to seeing what he and his brothers do in the new year. I'm flying to see their cousins later this month, too. Should be exciting times!

After COFFEE TIME, I had to leave at 4 so I could go to Douglas Park at 22nd and Heather for Ayler and Beckett's family birthday party. Of course I had Ayler's birthday card, Beckett's birthday card, Ayler's Spiderman / Spider-Man Funko Pop toy, Beckett's Zookie Slappy stuffed puppy toy, the Kinder mini-eggs, Lindt Gold milk chocolate Easter bunny, and the milk chocolate Hershey's Kisses for the kids! I also had to take my own utensils in a big Ziploc bag, plus a blanket to sit on (that mat from London Drugs will do), but whatever.

Four kinds of sushi (California Roll included), homemade Rice Krispie Squares, jackfruit, beer, juice, gyoza, plenty of edamame beans which are NOT for babies, Asian-style fried chicken, and homemade chocolate birthday cake with sprinkles! Beckett tried crawling and Naomi tried keeping up with Ayler, Hiero, Evander, and Everett, but didn't get too far. I said hi to Mom (who's using a cane now), Dad, Auntie Wing and Uncle Joe (who drove me home), Ayler (who liked all the chocolate and other gifts from me), Peter, Holly, Evander (who gave me some buttercups), Everett, Naomi (who can say a few words), Myles, and Brittney. Mom said that she and Dad are going to Toronto, then getting back on July 4, so they can pay for half my new glasses when they recover from jet lag. I got home at 7:55 (after making polite conversation with Harmony's parents) and let out a sigh of relief upon exiting the car. INTROVERT TIME AHOY!

Random stuff from Mom and Dad: a thin white short-sleeved zippered jacket, a thin white short-sleeved zippered jacket with black dots, a white Liz Sport sweater with black dots (but I can't even get my head through the neck...), a medium blue London Fog zippered fall jacket with normal sleeves, and (in a sticky plastic produce bag) Admiral flaked light tuna x2 / Indomie Mi Goreng instant noodles x2 / a random silver nail clipper.

Pothead Mike accidentally sent this picture to me on Hangouts when he was trying to send me some fundraiser cream cheese / strawberry and cream cheese / raspberry / green apple braided pastries. Jesus with a gun and some wine: "It's Sunday! Bitch better have my money!" HAHAHAHA!

From Julie: Jaszmyne?! BAD SPELLING! Just pick S or Z, not both at once! Makes it harder to spell, really.

From Julie: D'Quion?! It is pronounced DAY-QUAN for some reason. I would have gone with DE-KEON or something.

From Julie: Desirae?! What was wrong with Desiree?! BAD SPELLING!

From Julie: Tee is Brandi's best friend?!

From Vanessa: Dave Assman wants a personalized license plate?!

Eric Ho finally emailed me back about a hangout, saying that he's been busy with stuff (no surprise there), but he was attending "Jon's birthday thingie," so we can discuss our NEXT hangout then! After a too-quick scan of my email inbox, I messaged Jon about it on Facebook. He said he'd sent an Evite, and I said that I didn't think I'd received it. Then I looked again and saw it, so I put in a YES for my RSVP (Mexican food on the 18th at Jeremy's!) and let Jon know that he didn't need to send another one. Phew! At least I had plenty of unfettered time to plan my Wordpress drafts and everything else! Eric M. also emailed me, and said to update my drivers and stuff if I can, since it might be some time before he can come over and figure out the green pixelated screen issues on Youtube and Twitch. Okay, then.

Then I went out at 1:35 (just missing the 407) on a 401 to London Drugs. I got store brand multivitamins (which I can't open!), 400 Mead index cards, on-sale 6x126 Scotties / Scotties Facial Tissue boxes x2, dark chocolate Almond Roca for white Eric, on-sale Waterbridge Belgian chocolate seashells x2 for Chinese Eric and Jon's crew, an on-sale Terry's Chocolate Orange for Eric Ho, and on-sale limited-edition barkTHINS x2! (Gingerbread / Candy Cane) I got home at 2:40 on a 407 in the light rain, no thanks to bus delays and re-routing due to construction! At least I enabled Gmail desktop notifications, which work for me! I'm tired of missing some emails...

It's Talk Like A Pirate Day today! Eric Ho also replied to say he could make it to Felico's on Sunday - Gmail now suggests replies for me?!

After DOUBLE COFFEE TIME since I got up at 7:30 AM, I left at 2:10 on the C94 for my therapy appointment with Rachel at The Caring Place, definitely intending to bring up Jimmy's rage / brain injury and everything else! Good thing I checked my Google Calendar, which did NOT notify me of my appointment, because I wrote down the wrong time to LEAVE! I would have been totally fucking late if I hadn't! During the session, I even brought stuff up about Korey and Mike and Native Lisa Bruce! Boundaries and validation are GOOD! I got home at 3:55 on a 407, thanks to just managing to get a 410 and a 407 in quick succession!

Bethlehem Tekola Gebru?!

HOLIDAY WISHES 2017!

It's been an interesting year in the Vancouver area. I've become an aunt for the fourth time - I just met my newest nephew last week, and he's a cutie! I discovered surprise redrum before going to bed last night - UGH! After COFFEE TIME at 10, I went out at 11 to the Broadway Canada Line Station to meet Auntie Catherine at 11:30-ish. It was definitely time to switch over to Grandma's warm purple Alia winter coat! Auntie Catherine saw me at the station and we hugged hello. I had tea and hand-dragged lamb noodles with four pan-fried dumplings. We talked about my nephews, Youtube, the Bible / her belief in Jesus Christ / original sin / human intelligence vs. God intelligence (like God is automatically more intelligent?) / the Bible / some Christian preacher named David Jeremiah / whether I believed in Jesus Christ (I didn't sign up for that during lunch!), my own personal beliefs, Chung Yan, Chung Ming, Mattias and Marcus being 9 and 7 now (what?!), VCEFC, Pastor Dan still being there, the aging population at church, a speaker on Martin Luther King and the Reformation tonight at the church, Winter Conference as something I could do to remind me of what I grew up with (what?!), Kids Night on Halloween (what would I do there?!), and the Book Warehouse. Despite all that religious stuff, I did thank her for the lunch and said no when she asked whether I wanted anything else.

When I left the Book Warehouse after laughing at a book called YOUR SHITTY FAMILY, I bumped into Auntie Cathy! We talked about her Sunday School kids getting older, her and Uncle Hansel downsizing to live in a condo around 12th and Heather, Frances Chan staying in town now to take care of her mom, Darren Chew's wedding, her trip to Hong Kong next week to spend time with her mom, her getting back in December, my nephews, and her being glad that I was staying warm before she went on with her day because it was getting cold. I finally got home at 1:20 on a 407, and checked my mail: I got another Royal Bank debit card, which replaces the temporary debit card (which I've cut up already) and the card where the chip could not be read! Yay! Then I decided to send Ellen a Facebook message about her mom. I was totally fine with her emailing Frances to ask whether she could give me her email address or contact info, which Frances did allow. I understand and respect that, definitely! Also, I ate my egg salad sandwich for National Sandwich Day today.
