COFFEE TIME! The Canucks played Washington this morning at 9:30 AM because of "lovely" East Coast scheduling. The game went to overtime plus a shootout, and Bo Horvat scored to give the Canucks a 2-1 SHOOTOUT WIN!

Bacon, omelets, sausages, coffee, ketchup, English muffins, and sriracha sauce for a brunch before we made it to Steveston so Dylan could bike around and the kids could play in the park. I found a library book at Steveston which is so me! MOONBEAMS, DUMPLINGS, AND DRAGON BOATS! Later, we had Popsicles and chips while watching BROOKLYN. Yes, Deb fast-forwarded through the sex scene because the kids were downstairs, too. I showered while everyone was out at a little friend Theo's birthday party. PRIVACY!

After COFFEE TIME and the fire inspection / "Terminix pest control" with Hester, I left at 2:45 for Jon's with the Crunchy Raspberry / Crunchy Mint / Crunchy Raspberry M and Ms for Harmony, plus the dessert chocolate. I bought a BBQ pork bun from Kam Do Bakery, of course. I got to the house at about 3:25, and they were definitely home because I heard fussing from inside. The kids were eating the last of a snack, and Jon's student Kayla came in just a minute after me. The boys were okay for the most part, but still had volume issues. Hiero told me that the tiny playing cards were from the doctor, and Ayler said "that is that" when I asked him what my San Francisco shirt said. Jon called him out on that, and also on his telling me to guess whether he went to school today. Ayler climbed on me and wanted to get my hat - NO! Hiero wanted to drive his truck on me - okay, I guess so.

One huge burrito plus 1/4 of Hiero's AND half of his black bean burger was more than enough for dinner! (plus Ayler's leftover peppers and tomatoes from snacktime) We talked about reading and writing, Hiero knowing the concept and word of "exhaustion," Hiero drawing "a delicate maze," the new baby, Harmony going to Dragon Ball for some well-deserved bubble tea, Ayler changing teachers, Ayler drawing a monster, Ayler knowing how to read the word "flowers," and Harmony thanking me for all the chocolate. No, I didn't want any as I had quite a lot at home! (I ate one piece for dessert when I got home at 7:40 on a 407, before brushing my teeth)


Random stuff from Mom and Dad: assorted washed cutlery, 3/4 of a bag of Old Dutch ripple chips that expired three days ago (with a rubber band around it, but still... I have enough junk food as it is!), two Good In Every Grain zipper pulls in the tiniest Ziploc bags ever (a sandwich bag would be just fine next time), and $5 cash.

I went out at 11:45 after COFFEE TIME to London Drugs so I could get on-sale NEW dark chocolate Russell Stover Easter bunnies x3 (they were only $1!), NEW on-sale Reese's 3D Easter eggs, on-sale Whoppers Robin Easter eggs x2, NEW Crunchy M and Ms candy x3 (Crunchy Mint / Crunchy Espresso / Crunchy Raspberry), felts, on-sale Arm and Hammer toothpaste, and 180 melatonin tablets. While there, I almost found myself saying "excuse me" to a display of multicolored travel neck pillows!

When I left, I'd missed both buses by two minutes, so I decided to go to Boston Pizza for lunch as I was feeling slightly hungry. I SAW SO MANY PEOPLE IN THEIR HOCKEY JERSEYS (LIKE ME) TO SUPPORT THE HUMBOLDT JERSEY DAY! I found some $10 lunch combos on the menu, which definitely fit my budget, and chose the Santa Fe chicken quesadilla with fries on the side. So healthy, I know. :P I got home at 1:35 on a 407, which I also had to wait a while for, but it was okay. The sun was out and I liked it!

After I had COFFEE TIME, Barry picked me up at 11:50 and we went banking and to Price Smart. I got Bah Kut tea noodles, Fat Choy broken straw mushrooms x2, on-sale store brand perogies x2 (potato with cheddar cheese / potato with cottage cheese), 32 Christmas cards spread out over two boxes (one set had a cat on the front with a Santa hat / the other one had a snowman with a scarf and robins!), NEW limited-edition Nutmeg and Cinnamon Triscuits, on-sale store brand mango juice x2, on-sale store brand orange juice x2, and on-sale Original Sapporo Ichiban noodles. Also purchased on-sale Chunky Soup x10 (NEW Texas-Style BBQ Beef / NEW Baked Potato with Bacon / NEW Creamy Chicken Noodle / Seafood Chowder / Chicken Noodle Soup x2 / Chicken à La King / Beef / Chicken Vegetable Pot Pie / New England Clam Chowder), GOOD TASTE dumplings (Beef and Vegetable / Cabbage and Pork / Cabbage and Chicken), on-sale Sidekicks (Garlic Butter with Lemon / Mexican Rice / Tomato Alfredo / Singapore Curry Noodles / Honey Garlic Noodles / White Cheddar Queso), and on-sale Silk almond milk.

Then I convinced Barry to go to the London Drugs so I could try returning the useless American Greetings Christmas cards - they're STOCKING STUFFER SIZE, not mailing size! SUCCESSFUL RETURN! I got home at 1:10, which is surprising. Noticed that the Rosemary and Olive Oil Smartfood Delight popcorn was already expired as of the 21st, so I had to throw it away with the rest of the trash and detritus after trying a bit. Then I noticed that one of the chicken noodle soup cans was dented, so I had to consume that right away as well. UGH!
