After COFFEE TIME, I went out at 2:10 to get to Boston Pizza for their $5 individual pizza deal TODAY. While I was there, I got a text from Jon wanting to know if I could come at 4:30 instead. Sure, I'll just kill more time than usual since it was two hours out at that point. At least I thought I was saving time by knowing what I wanted to order... I also dumped all my loose change on the restaurant, save for $1.25 for future laundry purposes. I got to Marine Drive Station at 3:35, so I killed time by going to T and T until 4 - Swanson's ready to serve mushroom soup x5 cans, Numb and Spicy Hot Pot / Kimchi / Wasabi / Deep-Ridged Lays chips for Rachel sometime, and a new store card for me! Got to the closest intersection to Jon's at 4:25 thanks to spotting the 3 bus behind the 10, so it was cool.

Ayler and Hiero were out, and Beckett was napping. Chatted to Jon a bit before his girl piano student arrived. At that time, I encouraged Beckett to eat halved cherries and grapes, and only one fell to the floor - that's pretty good! Beckett definitely wanted to say hi to the student, but I managed to confine him to the mat by tossing his toy balls, especially the softer ones. When the boys got home, they told me about being late to VBS on the bus this morning before Hiero tried to hug Beckett against his will. Beckett just wanted to find Harmony all the time, which is normal and healthy. Harmony said she got Ayler's bug (but he seems all better, showing me his piano music and origami tricks PLUS wanting to do a cartwheel on the mat) and has a fever which can't make up its mind - oh no!

I didn't mind reading a monkey book to Hiero and looking at Ayler's Summer Reading log - wow, it seems like he wrote everything himself! Hiero wants to go to Japan to see the bullet trains - who knows, maybe my parents saw them in Japan on their trip! We had rutabaga, zucchini, nectarines, peaches, and penne for dinner. Beckett had yogurt and Cheerios, but again didn't seem to eat too much. I think he had fun playing his version of catch with me, and also flipping the pages of his books! (eggs and balls and reading books, oh my!) Managed to get home at 9 on a 407, thanks to just managing to catch a 3 Marine Drive when I got to that bus stop near Save-On! If Harmony needs me tomorrow, I can do that as well no problem.


Individual Meateor pizza for $5 today as opposed to $14.29! Beefy Bolognese sauce, smoked ham, pepperoni, seasoned ground beef, spicy Italian sausage and pizza mozzarella!

I took a shower, did some laundry, and had COFFEE TIME before Eric Ho texted me to cancel the BC Lions-Edmonton Eskimos hangout since he had to to stay at work till 7:30 or so. (he COULD say no, but maybe not!) "Are you coming? Yes or no." "Yeah, I have to stay a bit later, so text you later since I have to take a raincheck on the hangout." Fine, I'll just use my $10 off coupon by myself with no heavy things! I went to London Drugs first at 3:10 to get four DEFINITE big reusable bags (I only had four small ones?!), a dark green MARTEX bath towel, a shopping cart with a cooler bag ($54.99 to $24.99 SALE!), and two more London Naturals foam scour sponges.

Luckily, I was able to sort of tuck the cart under my arm and then waited for the bus home - got there at 4:05 on a 401. Later, I went to Price Smart with my $10 coupon at 5:35 on a 401. I got Halo Top birthday cake ice cream, NEW Sapporo Ichiban Tonkotsu ramen noodles, NEW Maynards Fuzzy Peach popsicles, NEW Maynards Swedish Berry popsicles, NEW Magnum white ice cream bars, NEW Magnum Double Cookies and Cream ice cream bars, NEW Magnum double cherry truffle ice cream bars, NEW Magnum Infinity Chocolate ice cream bars, NEW Magnum double raspberry ice cream bars, NEW Magnum strawberries and cream ice cream bars, BIG on-sale Lysol lemon wipes, Maggi curry noodles, and Olay cooling white strawberry and mint bar soap.

Eric M. unexpectedly called me at 2:50 to say that Eric Ho and a few of the guys were going to watch the Toronto Raptors play the Golden State Warriors in an NBA playoff game (Game 2) at 12 Kings, and wondered if I'd like to go. I said sure, why not. (much better freedom without Jimmy around!) He said he'd pick me up around 4:30 or so, and did. While I was waiting, I discovered that he'd texted me about the hangout at noon. Oops! At least we managed to work it out in the end!

Then Eric managed to drop me off in front of the pub after using his phone to navigate his way to 12 Kings. I tried texting Chinese Eric to see where he was, but got no answer. Jeremy came in a few minutes later and we managed to find Chinese Eric and Randal while white Eric was parking. After saying hi, I was still not impressed, so told him to answer his fucking texts, in those words. He said that he'd been talking to Randal, but it's TIME-SENSITIVE! "WHERE ARE YOU?" should be answered IMMEDIATELY! UGH! Yes, I'm being a hypocrite about this. Oh well. Randal gave me a LOOK, but whatever. At least we can be casual acquaintances now, which is okay by me. Eric implied that he wasn't going to invite me, but since Christon was dragging Alice along, he thought of me. Gee, thanks!

We talked about Yellow Dog Play Dead IPA, sharing a platter of nachos / olives / jalapenos / cheese eventually (we paid Chinese Eric back $4.50 each), Obama being in the building for the basketball game, my Reddit mobile being VERY SLOW and not loading (but it eventually did a while later), instant noodles, spicy noodles not good for the stomach, Christon and Alice's fried food, Eric's club sandwich, current events, Jon organizing this but not making it because of teaching, and Nathan being back in town till Christon's wedding, the CFL and BC Lions games / tickets, Jeremy's brother Mark doing well in Seattle, and keeping in touch with people online. When I noticed that Randal was reading The New Evil: Understanding the Emergence of Modern Violent Crime (Michael H. Stone, Gary Brucato, Ann W. Burgess), I had to show him MY current reading material: The Most Evil Women in History (Shelley Klein) - HAHAHA! Randal mentioned that he'd thought of me while picking his book up at the library, and Jeremy laughed at the coincidence, because great minds think alike!

Chinese Eric wasn't impressed that the Raptors lost 109-104, but nobody else in the pub to watch the game was, either. He also owes me an extra 50 cents because he didn't carry cash or expect me to have the London Drugs receipt for the Indomie Mi Goreng Chitato chips. We finally left about an hour after the game, at 8:30. Those stairs at the pub are not disability-friendly since they have no handrail, forcing me to jump the last step, LIKE I DID LAST TIME ON MARCH 12! It wasn't too far to the car, which is fine. Eric got a text message while he was driving into Richmond, which he hoped wasn't Chinese Eric texting him that he was lost on the way to his own car. He said he could give me a ride to Christon's wedding (which is on the same day as Mike Kwan's), but that I'd have to remind him closer to the date since it's so far away now. I totally understand!

I had to call the eye clinic today at 10:30 to get an eye surgery time so I can actually make some fucking plans! After the SECOND "busy office hours" automated message at 11:25, I left them a polite message. Megan finally called me back at 11:55 - I'm supposed to get to Mount St. Joseph's at 10:15 AM! So I called Barry to apprise him of the news. I guess it's fine if he picks me up at 9:15 AM that day...

Also made plans with Deb - the downstairs sofa bed sounds fine if Dylan's parents are staying for Mother's Day weekend from Langley, and need the actual guestroom instead of the kids' bed in the alcove!

DOUBLE COFFEE TIME! I was ready with Eric's Christmas 2018 Almond Roca when he called this morning at 8:55, which I dumped into the backseat when he mentioned Christmas as a reminder. I took an extra 30 seconds to talk to the security guard, who says that he doesn't know how long they'll be posted in the apartment lobby - then I apologized to Eric about it, who didn't say anything much beyond stuff about how he knows the building doesn't have sprinklers. (it would automatically detect fire and BURNING to call 911!) We got to church on time, and I settled into a pew with Myles, Brittney, and Naomi... I definitely hugged Pastor Dan hello and said hi to Joe! Mom and Dad stayed for ONLY the baby dedication, OF COURSE! I said hi to Uncle Joe and Auntie Wing Yee, and waved to Peter, Holly, Evander, Everett, Jon, Harmony, Ayler, Hiero, and Beckett.

After service, I said hi to Lesley / Frances C. (her mom and a possible get-together) / Eva (Harrison's mom - he's now FIFTEEN?!) / Margaret K. / Ivan W. (eye surgery and Sunday Dinner) / Auntie Esther / Harmony (eye surgery support) / Pastor Dan (eye surgery and Sharon being out of town) / Auntie Catherine (hug) / Auntie Cathy (hug) / Emily Y. (Joey in town often and non-profit work for Big Brothers) / Deb (eye surgery support) / Pastor Fulton / Lawrence / Derek C. / Adam L. / Billy (I have the same eyes?!) and Stella (Steph's family) / Rosenda / Sophia / Natalie / Jeff / Anita / Uncle Wayne and Auntie Susan. It was good to see people and say hi... Eric didn't even HAVE hockey because of some international thing going on in that arena, so I got a ride home from him, avoiding lunch with my parents! Of course Mom had my stuff before she and Dad go on a cruise to Cuba and visit Steph's family.

I made sure that I talked to Jon and his crew, of course, patting Beckett's head as I said hi to him. Hiero was playing with a "paper plane," and I helped Ayler with a Nanaimo Bar at the snack table. Eric and I listened to a comedy podcast, then got stuck in traffic to the Arthur Laing Bridge, so we should just have braved the backed-up Knight Street Bridge instead! I finally got home at 12:35 when we'd left the church about an hour earlier... the Canucks played the St. Louis Blues at 12 today, and WON 6-1! I'm just glad that I have unfettered time to blog at my own pace now!


Random (Christmas!) stuff from Mom and Dad, inside a Lush Cosmetics bag: A Spirit "Size 14" thin blue and white pair of pants which Mom thought would "fit" me (ha ha ha... she forgets about the NG butt size!), two random pairs of grey knee socks, Project 7 Coconut-Lime gourmet gum, a pound of Carnaby (Shoppers Drug Mart store brand) Halloween candy and gumdrops in a tub with NO expiry date, a pack of three pairs of women's athletic socks, two pairs of T-Max Heat Holders casual socks (FINALLY, SOMETHING POTENTIALLY USEFUL!), a random pair of white "socks" which don't even fit over my feet, and a Disney Princess Lip Smackers tub in "Birthday Princess" flavor.


Edit: Harmony and Jon emailed me an invitation to an early Christmas Day dinner. Sounds good to me right now!

I discovered redrum symptoms today - UGH! Mom wanted to drop by this afternoon with the locking containers, toilet paper, and Kleenex that she'd forgotten, so I said she could do so just to get it out of the way. She dropped by about an hour earlier than I was expecting, at 12:35 or so. Meh, at least I got a nice jacket out of the deal?

These green tea biscuits say, "TEA IS A GATEWAY DRUG TO BISCUITS" and "KEEP CALM AND EAT BISCUITS." Hilarious! I ate all the bakery biscuits in one sitting, too.

Random stuff from Mom and Dad: Eight rolls of Royale toilet paper, Royale Kleenex boxes x2, a nice brown London Fog coat which needs to be dry-cleaned, 50 TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES fruit-flavored candy canes, 15 food storage containers in varying sizes (some very tiny, some locking, some plastic, some glass), an apron from Daiso, a pink Coldwater Creek shirt, and a thin Jake One "Think The Nature" shirt vest.

Eric Ho emailed me this morning to say that he wishes he could make it to the MEGA SUSHI dinner, but they've scheduled him to work a Monet art exhibit at the VAG (art gallery), so he proposed that we hang out here instead for the Canucks regular season opener on Saturday, October 7. Sounds fine to me! I also blocked a stupid idiot who thought that disrespecting my "DO NOT COMMENT" boundaries was FUNNY. Time for some Chicken Alfredo as revenge since that's his name!

Eric M. called me at 11:30 from church to say that he wouldn't be going back to Richmond, but could give me a ride back from Jeremy's. Sure, I can bus there, and I didn't have to leave the house really early at 2 PM! That gave me more time to do stuff! After COFFEE TIME (during which I almost left with my pants on backwards), I left the house at 4, and killed a slight bit of time at Kingsgate Mall. The Books, Etc. store is now 90% DVDs and puzzles! I bought NEW Moscow Mule Kettle chips, OXO beef bouillon sachets, and a Hot Beef Pho Mr. Noodles bowl from Buy-Low Foods before walking over to Jeremy's at 5:15 or so. Unfortunately, I had to see my ex-friend Randal, who mentioned to Jon's friend Mallory that he has "a passion for God and wants it to show at work" - THAT'S NOT WHAT YOU DO! I can't believe I ever liked him!

I said hi to Julie S., Ivan, Emily, Sam, Quan, Gino, Kevin, and Caleb after meeting Jon's other friend Eric (from Jacob's Well) / Angel / Mallory. Then I talked to Stanley about my 90% whiskey, his band, Peter Gabriel, the CODEX, weird acoustic dubstep, and the whiskey. I updated both Jesse and Jon's friend Rebecca about my life recently, and talked about the summer / no editing for Holly / not doing well with change / all this unknown stuff possibly impacting people's recovery (Rebecca said that my point was a very good one which she hadn't thought about before), Jacob's Well needing $50,000 and already raising $42,000 in two weeks / all my nephews loving me ("You have to stay longer! Stay all night!") / Ontario hydro bills. One guy in a Youtube / NPR video even had a traffic cone inside his saxophone, haha! Eric and I left early (after I paid $10 and he made a comment about my chips), and I got home at 9:05.

Then I noticed that Chinese Eric had called me at 5:45, so I called him back at 10. He had called me by accident, but he wanted to see if I was up for seeing a Blue Jays-Mariners game this weekend. I thought he meant a literal road trip, but thank goodness he didn't. He says it's been eight months (really six or so) since we hung out here; he's been busy and apparently had a problem with his Hotmail account, but didn't really specify what. (but did say that he had 3500 emails to sort through... JUST DELETE THEM!) We also talked about heat, a sauna, the 162-game MLB schedule, and catching up later. Hopefully, I don't have to do anything else after next Sunday for quite a while! DRAINING!
