How Much Toilet Paper? The Toilet Paper Calculator For Quarantine / Isolation!

We were so bored in Ceriam's Discord server that we were sharing photos of our computer / tech setups. Stallings said that my handwriting on the latest version of my shopping list was pretty, so I thanked him for the compliment.

Andrew came over at 5:15 today, after sleeping in. Hey, no worries, I told him. He didn't want to bother with the whole parking pass rigmarole, which I admit IS annoying. We discussed my eye surgery last year, Merritt, family updates, Search Everything, Chrome, my computer settings, computer drivers, pooping 187 times a day to use up a LOT of toilet paper, his wanting to know the programs so he can determine what's going on (which I understand), and fixing the tangled phone cord. He was over for about an hour, and left at 6:45 or so, not finding anything inherently wrong which would cause the computer to freeze! All temperatures are in very normal ranges since I'm underutilizing the computer's power. Nope, this is not a heavy-duty gaming rig!

He cut me a break on his fee (as Mike said) when I asked what the damage was, since he didn't really do too much: $20 cash sounds much better than $40, even during these times! I thought he would say that his kid stayed at his place so long that the pandemic happened during a week's extension, but it turned out to be much worse! We talked about lining up to shop at Superstore and other places now, and raising his rates six months ago - I know that a full tank of gas plus three jerry cans in the States is value! Or it was, but now we can't just go down there for cheap gas.

He did notice that the computer mouse stopped momentarily whenever the computer made a musical noise, but that wouldn't cause things to freeze... of course, the computer WOULD freeze shortly AFTER he left. It's not like I could have reproduced the issue on demand! At his request / upon his request, I did record a rather choppy phone video of me flipping off the power switch at the back and then turning on the power button again. Sigh. I did update Eric as well via text while noticing some weird font issues on my computer, possibly related to Andrew deleting WonderShare and some other programs. Yes, Andrew is still anti-Windows 10. Still, he has to keep current...

The Romanovs: The Real History of the Russian Dynasty, Part 1

The Romanovs: The Real History of the Russian Dynasty, Part 2

I left at 4:30 to meet Paulo and Darryl at the Cascade Room (2616 Main Street, near Main and Broadway-ish, more like Main and 10th) for Paulo's belated birthday hangout at 6. I wanted to be early just in case there were stroller / wheelchair delays or elevator shenanigans - surprisingly for once, there were none of those AND I just managed to get a 3 bus which had ten people total in it, but they couldn't find my reservation when I got there at 5:30! I was seated at a high table pretty quickly, though they said they'd move me to a booth once some people left who had been there at 4. Paulo texted me and Darryl said on Discord that he was getting an Uber. We waited to see if Steve would show up (Estefan is in Whistler at the moment), and I finally messaged him. He replied pretty quickly to say he was having a bad day, so no. I showed them both the phone notification, and they joked about guilting him into it since we HAD to find a place that took reservations JUST FOR HIM! Seriously, dude - we could have stayed with the Brassneck Brewery plan!

We were on our phones a lot, which actually is pretty good for me. Talked about Jimbo's opinion on our Superfriends server and how I know I can't change his mind on it (and wouldn't want to - why bother?), the secret chat, all the drama, Holly's opinion on Jimbo not telling us much about his work, the 12 Kings meetup being last year on March 12 already, Brian being sued by some people, and Holly nuking the original server unexpectedly. I showed them some funny toilet paper-related memes, while we tried various food and drink: gin and tonic, Amber something, mushroom poutine, sausage rolls with barbecue sauce (which I spilled on my DRAGON HOODIE - necessitating MORE LAUNDRY when I got home!), white wine, schnitzel, steak, desserts, and more! The Cascade Room was advertising Jameson ginger and lime Slurpees for St. Patrick's Day 2020. Good luck with that!

Darryl said that his buddies might join us, and wondered if we'd mind. I said no, but deferred to Paulo since it was his belated birthday celebration - HE didn't mind, either. Harmony texted me at 7:15 to say not to worry about coming over next Tuesday as they're limiting everything non-essential including public transit trips. They've even cancelled their Harrison Hot Springs vacation next week for Spring Break, which makes sense! If I were a different kind of person, I'd ask if they don't trust me! This is best for everyone's health and safety, though.

Eric M. also texted me: "FYI, VCEFC has been cancelled because of COVID-19 concerns" - that's what I thought would happen when I heard the daily BC health guidelines the other day. MORE FREE TIME FOR HIM! We left the Cascade Room at 8 and walked a block or so to the Colony Bar across the street from Save-On Foods. I'd have gone in earlier to see if they had hand sanitizer, but they probably don't. I told them that my brother lives around there, but that it was probably bedtime for the kids. They joked about invading their place anyway even if the nephews were there, but I knew it was a drunken joke and didn't take it seriously. Paulo offered Darryl a hit of his vape since he'd tried smoking, but he declined due to the pandemic - smart!

We were at the Colony Bar for about 70 minutes or so, with Darryl unexpectedly buying us a round because it was Paulo's birthday. I got a Parallel 49 Jerk Face 9000 beer - I had to order it because of the name! No, I wasn't surprised that Paulo barely touched his beer - they'd already had a lot at the Cascade Room. We discussed alcohol tolerance, Paulo totally forgetting about work once on HOLIDAY PAY, the coronavirus, and whether Darryl's buddies would actually show up. I gave up on them at 9, about five minutes before they DID come in. The guy put his hand out to shake hands - what?! I instinctively shook hands, and then went to wash my hands immediately afterwards since I had to pee anyway. My hand sanitizer was way down in the bottom of my Doge bag, then I had to look for my phone when I got back to the table, which was also in my Doge bag! Habit to look in my coat pocket... not sure what I'll do once it's summer!

Paulo declared that he would call an Uber since he said it was too cold to wait around for the bus for too long. I decided to just wait for the bus since it was more wallet-friendly. The East Indian 3 driver waited THREE TIMES for no reason, holding everybody up on his bus! What schedule is there to make up at 9:30 PM?! You have your breaks now, so that's not a good reason! Of course that made me late for the Brighouse train - it was pretty chilly outside, so I took the opportunity to send Mike a picture of my current footwear at Marine Drive station after fighting with the wifi.

Mike said something about "where's the glim-glam?" so I texted that 1 degree was too cold for bare feet and toeless sandals! (I waited till I was up on the platform since I heard the YVR train announcement from the statue) The train was sparsely populated, too - I got my own little row of accessible seats since an Asian lady moved far away from me instead once I said I needed her seat. I got home at 10:35, thanks to that stupid 3 bus driver - I could have been home half an hour before! Doing laundry seems to have worked for my dragon hoodie, but I can't seem to say the thing for my four towels since I used them to wipe up a flood of water from when I was showering a few days ago. Guess I'll go tomorrow to London Drugs and buy up on-sale zinc citrate, four towels, and maybe a pair of Secret socks!

After COFFEE TIME, I went out at 11:40 on a 414 to help with the kids, but first went to Dublin Crossing Pub. Noticed the Canada Line was slightly slower on the tracks, but that's fine since it snowed yesterday and had pretty much melted today. I had to go in early to help by staying with a sick Hiero at home while Jon and Beckett did school pickup. I had an ahi tuna bowl at Dublin Crossing and bought a mocha Starbucks / on-sale pomegranate Canada Dry ginger ale at Shoppers, which had a sign saying that the store was sold out of Asian face masks and hand sanitizer! Luckily, I built in extra time to wait for the 3 bus - thank goodness it wasn't late, but it did have an alarm delay and other things going on with the passengers... I FINALLY got to the house at 2:10! After some Jello and other food, Jon and Beckett left the house to go pick Ayler up from school. Hiero and I read some CHARLIE BROWN storybook, and I let him have a little bit of my ginger ale.

When everyone else got home, I switched from reading on the couch (and exposure to germs) to playing on the mat with Beckett. He had learned HELP, POO, AYA (for Ayler), MAGNET, OPEN, MONKEY, DRAGON, HELLO (to make the coin purses inside-out), and JOW for JELLO... and also picked up OKAY from me tonight. At 4, Ayler asked when I was leaving - gee, thanks! Jon let him know what people would think when he asked him that, and clarified to me that he was just curious about time. (of course!) Turns out Jon had a few music students; Beckett was interested in the silver things on Kayla's guitar (so tried re-tuning it) AND her green guitar pick on the black piano bench, thought everyone calling to come over was Jon's student Dean, and was generally curious. Later, we had bean soup and French onion soup with bread for dinner. Ayler asked about apostrophes, a gratitude list (the "big Jello" item was pretty funny!), what "philosophy" meant, and wondered who would win his eating competition.

Hiero seemed pretty out of it for sure, lying down on the couch when he wasn't fighting with Ayler. He wanted ANOTHER day off school tomorrow despite his snow day yesterday from his mom. I just talked to Beckett about the toy balls, tested whether he knew what things were, and didn't mind if he wanted to play with the "boh-boh" on my shirt OR socks. He showed me a stack of dry noodles and said "Noo-noo!" (his word for "noodles") For my own amusement, I asked him if he would eat them all. He said "okay" - not that he ever would or could right now! He still likes to look out the window to see some lights across the street, which is cute. Jon left and came back later to teach yet another student, and I finally left at 8, having probably just missed a 3 bus, and got home at 9:35 on a 407. Lots of people wearing Asian face masks today!

HAPPY NEW YEAR AND 2020, EVERYONE! NEW YEAR, NEW DECADE!

FINALLY HOME AFTER A FLIGHT! I left the house with Steph after thumping my suitcase up the stairs from the guestroom, hugged the kids, and Steph noticed Havarti was sad because she knows what a suitcase means. We drove 45 minutes to the airport; why WOULD she take a $20 or $30 toll road to save one minute?! I hugged her goodbye, then got selected for a pat-down because I accidentally left my phone in my pocket. UGH! At least a kind employee got me a zoomer to go all the way to my YYZ gate after the elevator! The flight itself was uneventful - I was seated in front with the babies and children, but played with my new friend, the year-old baby boy next to me.

White Eric picked me up as advertised after I landed at 2 today. Wow, time change! Haha. I had to walk the length and breadth of YVR because the outside exit for domestic arrivals was all the way at the front. Sweating for sure! I was home by 3, and everything seemed okay, but THE MICE MANAGED TO CHEW THROUGH THE STEEL WOOL IN THE BATHROOM?! YUCK!

After COFFEE TIME, I had to go out at 4:10 on a 407 for a Kwong Chow dinner. Since I was out anyway, I bought three pairs of London Naturals foam scour sponges, a Snapple half and half iced tea / lemonade for aspirin purposes, and a bag of 20 KitKat chocolate mini-bars for National Chocolate Day for Ayler and Hiero at London Drugs. We had fish congee, spicy tofu triangles, a different kind of Chinese fish, pork intestines with pickled vegetables, green beans with spicy beef, half a chicken, and tomato fried rice with red sauce / white sauce / shrimp / pork for dinner. Ayler tried his first pork intestine since he was curious about them, and chewed through half of it before deciding he didn't like them that much. Hiero didn't want to try one at all.

Beckett was in a high chair and screaming happily. He was being shielded from the "evil" TV, and the family made care plans for this week. The boys seemed to like their Seattle trip, even if one of them dumped a plastic dinosaur down the toilet this morning at the AirBnB! They told us about the monorail, the water table at the Children's Museum, the chocolate shop, the $25 per person baseball game with hot dogs, Pike Place Market being really crowded, and more. Seemed like a fun trip for sure! The kids wanted to race on our way to their house, but that wasn't a good idea right after dinner! I apparently have to wait for the lards' call on Wednesday morning - no melatonin the night before, PLUS coffee and the phone on then, before going to Aberdeen and Parker Place!

I finally got home at 8:05 on a 401, and no, I did NOT want to be dropped off at 49th instead of 41st simply because it was easier for Mom. Even Dad was annoyed! Mom also wants to NOT pay for three pairs of reading glasses instead of "just two since it would be too expensive" - if she balks at that, I'm sure she's not going to like the cost of any proposed Invisalign! Sorry, Sean...

Today is Mother's Day 2019. I was slightly awoken by the sun in the window, then by quick footsteps outside the bedroom door. Later, it turned out to be Declan and Elysse running into their parents' room to wish Deb a Happy Mother's Day at 5 AM! SO EARLY, kids! We had a rushed breakfast of cranberry and raisins Post cereal with milk and Nutella croissants before church. Elysse wondered if I was "too fat" to fit into the backseat of the van because I sat up front with Dylan instead. WHAT THE HELL?! First, I'm an alien, and now I'm fat?! Her parents made her apologize to me and said that was not very nice and hurt my feelings. Declan said that I wasn't fat - thank you! We actually had great parking luck across the street from the church at 9:45 - nobody had taken up all the good spots before the liquor store!

Church service was fine - I like how Pastor Dan acknowledged the strained relationships that some people may have with their mothers on this day. I caught up with Emily, Auntie Catherine, Stella, Joe T., Benedict, Rosenda, Helen C., David Marr, Lawrence, Jason, Vicky, baby Lucas, Martin T., and some other people. I only had to interact with Mom for a minute; thank goodness I could use eye surgery as an excuse for not doing anything for Mother's Day OR her birthday on the 14th! We eventually got going and eventually went to Kyoto Takenoko at Seafair Centre for lunch, hoping that fussy Elysse would eat SOMETHING. I had the spicy miso ramen and one gyoza.

While we were at Shoppers afterwards looking at Minions toothbrushes and other things, I decided that I might as well buy three yellow, black, and salmon BATH RETREAT shower puffs since Price Smart hadn't had any when I was last there. I guess I'll have to live with the string not fitting over the shower head properly. We had lamb chops, white wine, bok choy, mussels, and rice for dinner while Dylan's parents were over. Later, it was CHUTES AND LADDERS time with Popsicles and Coke! Deb and Dylan had finally completed a 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle a while ago and wanted to hang it up in the living room. NICE!

Brian and Holly seemed to be making plans for $4 wings at Moxie's tonight, so in a moment of rare spontaneity, I decided to join them, Paulo, and Darryl. Turns out Jeremy and Jeff were invited too, but that was okay. I thought Brian was giving Paulo a ride too, but I guess not. At least he was willing to give me a ride through all the construction crap at about 6! After navigating through cul-de-sacs near Bridgeport, we finally found a way to Moxie's after he met me at the hospital entrance and talking about Pettersen / Quinn Hughes. Of course I had to wear my new red DRAGON HOODIE!

We found everyone except Paulo at the back patio, so we settled in on ordering wings. Of course I had to have some hot wings since it wasn't a share plate like last time! I got hot wings AND salt and pepper wings (which were dry, but that's okay), plus Brian offered a honey garlic wing to me, so I took it. We talked about cooking a Big Mac and Coke in a rice cooker (only in Japan), online people, the Rock's cheat day of a massive sushi meal, Instagram, Caesar salad, Paulo finally being able to make it, MAGIC: THE GATHERING, various meetups, cheap Costco food, other wings deals, sashimi, 7-11 food, getting a microwave from Craigslist, and our plans for the rest of the week.

Said bye personally to Darryl before going off with Brian and Paulo for a few minutes of air. We then talked about some personal stuff, not being able to tell if things were jokes or real invites, a need for a mental break being understandable, the brain telling us that things are false even when we try to convince others that they're real, and directions. Yes, I was thanked for listening - I like this! I got home at 8:55, which wasn't too bad at all.

Yesterday, I called Chinese Eric to see if he could give me a ride to Jeremy's or back home. He called me back on his lunch break (at 1:20 BEFORE I left to see Rachel), and he was planning to take transit to work at the Art Gallery and then go straight to Jeremy's. I hoped Kevin could drive me to Broadway Station again since white Eric can't make it because of his hockey commitments! I had to leave really early for Jeremy's place because I had to walk to Brighouse station - thanks, endless sewer upgrades and construction! Luckily, I found an in-service bus stop at Alderbridge, so I killed time at Shoppers, buying Korean BBQ Kettle Chips x3 and some Nair. FUCKING JIMMY! Got to Dude Chilling Park at 6:10, which was slightly early. Kingsgate Mall was closing, too.

I met up with Jeremy (so we could all see his new flooring / baseboards and test some marbles on it), Christon, Kevin, Chinese Eric, and Randal. Christon made some pulled pork, chicken and coleslaw. We had my Indomie Mi Goreng chips / various beers (like the cocoa / vanilla Winter Ale) / salsa / Que Pasa chips, called Eric Ho to see where he was, figured out the long wifi password (which Jeremy didn't think much of at first - but then realized he'd never seen me with a smartphone before), discussed my eye surgeries and Jeremy's nose surgery / Huawei / the Rugby Sevens / Uniqlo / Muji / Daiso / real estate / wedding planning / people with 4400 to 5000 Facebook friends, the Lucky Charms Saturday Morning beer for St. Patrick's Day, and waited for Jon to get there even later. I wanted to go home at 10, but nope - I had to wait for 45 more minutes, despite Chinese Eric wanting to head home right after the game ended at 9:30!

Jeremy loved the blurb for the Lucky Charms beer and laughed at it, at least! Kevin did indeed drive me to Broadway Station, while Jon and Chinese Eric got rides back home from Randal. Yeah, that wasn't too bad. I ended up getting home at around midnight on a 401 (passing up a 407 at Brighouse), and was surprised that I was still somewhat awake, since I'd gone to bed at 9:45 yesterday. I did make myself some hot chocolate to warm up from the cold weather. The Canucks played the Knights at 7 tonight, and lost 6-2. Not good if it was 5-1 at the end of the first... 3-0 after the first twelve minutes!

I went to Jon and Harmony's at 2:05 on a 401 with the Charlotte's holiday butter cookies and EMOJI MOVIE Memory Matching cards / Mega Bloks Smash Stunt Zeg truck for Hiero's birthday. We had golden beets, salad with walnuts and other garnishes, cauliflower, potatoes, eggnog, cookies, and other things as part of Christmas dinner while enjoying some low-key family time. We discussed NG things, where Lisa "grew" her mustache for our WhatsApp call with Fraser / Steph / Havarti, new books, sticker decoration, lots of reading (MR. CHATTERBOX / MR. GREEDY / PEANUTS books), and other stuff. I got a Purdy's Chocolate Survival Kit "Survive the Season!" box of assorted chocolate bars from white Eric, and a LOQI lightweight cat reusable bag ("I carry up to 20 kg") / matching cat wallet / Softsoap® Brand Pampered Hands Tangerine Treat foaming hand soap / a Happy Hippy PEACE fragrant soap square from The Happy Hippy Soap Company from Jon and Harmony.

Beckett was largely pretty content just hanging out. I made him play peek-a-boo with himself, which he seemed okay with. He was slightly upset because he'd grown his first two teeth already and wanted to put everything into his mouth. (including my finger, his foot with or without socks, etc.) Hiero wanted to know why the baby was upset, so I told him that Beckett had never experienced that before, which Hiero seemed to accept.

Hiero decorated me with "cool" PEANUTS stickers, lectured me on paper airplane aerodynamics / rudeness, and fought with Ayler over his new truck toy. Harmony said I could call them first if I wanted company post-surgery, and said that they had a bunch of family dinners coming up. No doubt! Hiero showed me the MR. MEN cookie metal lunchbox, so I said that lunchboxes weren't that way when I was a kid since they were made of plastic. His very funny response: "PLASTIC?! YIKES!" HAHAHAHA!

After offering me THE NEW YORKER, Jon drove me to King Edward Station at 8:15 after bathtime and bedtime, and the 407 was actually early, so I got home at 9:15 instead of later. He did ask whether I still kept in touch with Chinese Eric, so I said we were possibly getting together on the 27th. I got home (after wishing the security guard a Merry Christmas) to find a MERRY CHRISTMAS email from the aforementioned Chinese Eric, who said that he can definitely hang out on the 27th - WOO! When I got in, I decided that I might as well do my laundry too while I had the time and was going to be awake anyway.

Also got a NEW steak and mushroom melt from Subway, and on-sale Reese's peanut butter and chocolate hearts x3 / a Cambridge cutlery set / rubbing alcohol. After I got home at 12:30 on a 401, I paid my Shaw and hydro bills online. I'll shower later at some point.

Edit: I went back out at 3:20 to see if I could return / exchange the king-size pillowcase pack. Thank goodness I could! I bought Alter Eco Pacific organic chocolate x3 (Brown Butter / Salt and Malt / Blackout) for Harmony's birthday, Palmolive Oxy dish detergent, and two properly-sized pillowcases! Chrystal gave me a surprise phone call at 8:35, saying that she knew we were supposed to meet up tomorrow, but work has been absolutely crazy since a supervisor resigned. Luckily for Chrystal, she's not the new supervisor! We finally figured out a new date to meet up: Friday, June 9 at the usual place, which is the London Drugs across the street from Broadway Station. Then we just caught up by phone: her nephew Ethan likes learning about numbers and clocks, and would love musical toy mats! We talked about Ayler turning five tomorrow, Steph being in town recently, Emily and Mike finally completing their move (and selling a lot of furniture online), Father's Day being around June 16 (June 18), and my dropping by to see Ayler tomorrow afternoon. She thanked me for being so flexible, and said that I was her mental health break, haha. Cool, I guess!

Kelli Rose on Not Always Right on May 17, 2017: "In our house, my son is a panromantic bisexual polyamorous trans boy, my daughter is a panromantic polyamorous asexual, my spouse is bi, and I'm polysexual, but we appear heteronormative because we're cis. We've had places be very accepting, and places be not at all accepting. It's like sometimes only the LG part of LGBT+ counts." So basically at her house, everyone has sex with everyone else and all their visitors. Okay, then!

Due to MDSE (Monthly Drain Sleep Experience), I went to bed at 8:55 PM last night, and then slept for an additional two and a half hours today! I dreamed that I was on a family vacation where Dad refused to let me sort my laundry by color at home even though I was on my period. WTF, subconscious?!

There was a live EARTHBOUND race today at RPG Limit Break! :D

From Julie: Breathe Right Nasal Strips! Breathe Better and Dream Bigger! I'm not sure I'd want a seahorse, a giant hat, and a metallic deep sea shark monster showing up in MY dreams, random though they can be!

On DATELINE 2020, in "The Mystery of Apartment 410," there's a white person named JENNY WONG?!

From Janina and INGLORIOUS BASTARDS: I ain't even mad!

The Cold Never Bothered Them, Anyway

I knew she blocked me and others when I couldn't see these comments anymore, so I simply logged into my XENIA account to grab these screenshots. This is what also finally inspired me to make a Facebook album for Internet idiots. :D

Dani, just put on a fucking jacket. If you predict that your reaction is over the top, guess what? It most likely IS!

Who the hell has an anxiety attack over people making them wear a jacket?!

I agree 100% with Jamie here. Don't make it about YOU!
