DOUBLE COFFEE TIME! Waiting for Auntie Bessy at Kam Do Bakery this morning proved to be a waste of 40 minutes all told. Good thing I just managed to get the 401 on the way there and the 407 on the way back, getting home at 9:40 AM when I'd left at 8:50 AM! Ugh! The Canucks played Winnipeg today at 5, and lost 4-1... ANOTHER EMPTY-NET GOAL?!

I then left at 7:40 to go to the IGA at Garden City Centre at Blundell, but first encountered a lady at the bus stop who somehow just could NOT wait ten minutes for a cigarette! She scrutinized the bus schedule and knew that the 401 would come in four minutes, so what did she do? Why, sat down on the bench and lit up a smoke, of course! Karma came for her in the form of a 401, so she had to butt it out on the bench before she got on the bus and then had a major coughing fit before she and a male companion got off at Minoru, presumably to smoke prior to whatever they REALLY wanted to do!

At least I saw that bus stop advertisement for Ocean's Tuna: Ginger Lemon Sesame, Peri-Peri, and Sundried Tomato Tapenade! Wasted my time at IGA too, since they didn't have the Fresh Gourmet The Better Chip in Jalapeno flavor: "It's a Walmart brand!" they said as I bought NEW Pillsbury Pizza Pops in Double Cheeseburger flavor. I eventually got home at 9:25 after having to kill half an hour at Richmond Centre and buying frozen President's Choice Brussels sprouts and frozen President's Choice broccoli florets.

COFFEE TIME! The Canucks played Calgary today at 5, and won 4-3 in a shootout... four wins in a row for the first time since the Sedins were on the ice! That's right - it didn't happen last season! Now I guess I should make a tiny amount of pasta for World Pasta Day today...

Original I Can't Believe It's Not Butthurt, hahaha! Soothing butt salve! Fast pain relief from Internet arguments!

From Julie M. and Hilarious Comics: I found where my ex was born! Mistake Island!

Edit: Pasta for World Pasta Day tonight after the Canucks-Blues hockey game: Rotini, macaroni, Arrabiatta sauce, and Puttanesca sauce! World Authentica Cuisine!

Today is Mother's Day 2019. I was slightly awoken by the sun in the window, then by quick footsteps outside the bedroom door. Later, it turned out to be Declan and Elysse running into their parents' room to wish Deb a Happy Mother's Day at 5 AM! SO EARLY, kids! We had a rushed breakfast of cranberry and raisins Post cereal with milk and Nutella croissants before church. Elysse wondered if I was "too fat" to fit into the backseat of the van because I sat up front with Dylan instead. WHAT THE HELL?! First, I'm an alien, and now I'm fat?! Her parents made her apologize to me and said that was not very nice and hurt my feelings. Declan said that I wasn't fat - thank you! We actually had great parking luck across the street from the church at 9:45 - nobody had taken up all the good spots before the liquor store!

Church service was fine - I like how Pastor Dan acknowledged the strained relationships that some people may have with their mothers on this day. I caught up with Emily, Auntie Catherine, Stella, Joe T., Benedict, Rosenda, Helen C., David Marr, Lawrence, Jason, Vicky, baby Lucas, Martin T., and some other people. I only had to interact with Mom for a minute; thank goodness I could use eye surgery as an excuse for not doing anything for Mother's Day OR her birthday on the 14th! We eventually got going and eventually went to Kyoto Takenoko at Seafair Centre for lunch, hoping that fussy Elysse would eat SOMETHING. I had the spicy miso ramen and one gyoza.

While we were at Shoppers afterwards looking at Minions toothbrushes and other things, I decided that I might as well buy three yellow, black, and salmon BATH RETREAT shower puffs since Price Smart hadn't had any when I was last there. I guess I'll have to live with the string not fitting over the shower head properly. We had lamb chops, white wine, bok choy, mussels, and rice for dinner while Dylan's parents were over. Later, it was CHUTES AND LADDERS time with Popsicles and Coke! Deb and Dylan had finally completed a 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle a while ago and wanted to hang it up in the living room. NICE!

What Should You Get Your Mom For Mother's Day?

You Should Get Mom Breakfast in Bed!

Your mom works hard from dusk til dawn, and you can't remember the last time she got a break from her responsibilities.
There's probably no chance your mom will take a rest even on Mother's Day, so get her early with a surprise breakfast in bed.

Your mom will love getting a treat first thing, especially one she didn't ask for or expect. You'll make sure she doesn't have to lift a finger.
Give mom the fuel she needs for a productive Mother's Day with a delicious breakfast in bed. Just make sure to clean up afterwards, too!

(Ha ha ha, NO!)

Happy Mother's Day to all the other great moms out there from Casey Anthony!

After DOUBLE COFFEE TIME, I went out at 1:50 on a 401 to get two more on-sale 6x126 Scotties Kleenex boxes at London Drugs, since the sale expires tomorrow and I was going to be out anyway. While I was there and waiting in the wrong line because this dude decided to delay everyone by not having a coupon or card available OR payment at the ready, I decided to ask the cashier to open the recalcitrant multivitamin bottle from yesterday, just in case. (I'd brought it along to see if Rachel could open it) The clerk could not, but thankfully believed me that I'd bought it yesterday, so I WAS ABLE TO DO AN EXCHANGE WITHOUT THE RECEIPT! PHEW!

Afterwards, I thankfully managed to catch the 414 on Minoru to see Rachel at The Caring Place (talking a LOT about Sandy / banking / disability plans / boundaries), then I rushed home afterwards! I thought I discovered a REDRUM smell after eating a bowl of pasta with straw mushrooms, Prego pasta sauce, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. IT WAS LAUNDRY TIME AFTER THE FIRST PERIOD, JUST IN CASE! (pun intended, hahaha) I also sent Frances a quick "happy birthday" email for tomorrow while I remembered. The Canucks played the Wings at 4:30 today; the game went to overtime, and lost 3-2 in a SHOOTOUT! Now I feel the Monthly Drain Sleep Experience (MDSE) coming on... ZZZZZ...

I used the MOTHER 3 Debug Room (not with any great success...), and here is a double Bateau glitch, preventing Flint from joining Duster atop the cliff in Chapter 1. Flint can't go anywhere else because the original Bateau (the one not on the Wall Staples ladder) will say that Duster is waiting for him!

Flint has rescued Fuel from his burning shack in Chapter 1. They've made it to Isaac's house at the entrance to Sunshine Forest, and have refused to save their game with the Save Frog. "Oh, I see... You know, you're quite pitch black."

I still have Jimmy's address somewhere on LJ - oh boy. I'm not going to do anything with it. At least Youtube resolved their problems last night at 8:30 after being down worldwide!

The MOTHER 3 Walking Bushie (which casts a Lifeup spell on YOUR CHARACTERS and not itself) eventually greets everyone politely and leaves a fight if you guard against it, JUST LIKE the Bonus Swoosh / Groucho in MOTHER 1 / EARTHBOUND ZERO! Unfortunately, Flint does not get the eight experience points if this happens.

Here is the Walking Bushie leaving a battle!

After COFFEE TIME and being on the phone to Canada Post's customer service this morning for a while - where they couldn't even guarantee that my post office address pickup location could be changed - I went to Blundell Centre at 12:30 on a 407 and a 402, which of course I had to wait 15 minutes for. I finally got to the Shoppers Drug Mart post office after 1 PM and FINALLY got my 30th Anniversary OLD FAITHFUL Bathroom Reader! While I was at the store, I saw Lindt Advent calendars for sale already! UGH! I also saw on-sale Korean BBQ chips, so got a couple of bags for Jon / Harmony and Chrystal. I also got on-sale Always pads, since it's always good to stock up on those if I can - less than $15 for everything! I got to the 402 bus stop for Brighouse just in time, but somehow lost my BOLEYN INHERITANCE book at Brighouse in the excitement of seeing the 407. At least I finally got home at 2:15, but that takes way too fucking long just to pick something up at the post office!

I woke up at 8 AM today, so it was COFFEE TIME BY DEFAULT! Later on, I learned that I'm an aunt again to Nephew #4, Henry, who was born at about 6 AM! I approve of the first and middle names.

In FINAL FANTASY VI: THE ETERNAL CRYSTALS, Strago and the party defeat Astos the Dark Elf and his Dark Goblins on Ebot's Rock north of Mysidia. I went out at 2:30 to catch the next 401 and hopefully check out the Steveston Salmon Festival / Richmond all-day street party at Steveston Village. The 401 stopped at the lards' old townhouse, so I decided to check out the 7-11. I got two bags of NEW limited-edition Mojo Citron Doritos Dinamita sticks before walking to the Village. While there, I checked out Super Grocer: I got some NEW Maple Bacon Kettle chips. I explored the community centre, saw Cimona's / Timmy's Kitchen / Timothy's Frozen Yogurt, looked at a lot of tents, checked out a live band on a stage, and decided not to buy anything since I was planning to go to London Drugs. Thank goodness that the 407 was still at its "special events bus stop" after I saw the back of the bus while walking along Steveston Highway! At London Drugs, I bought Pik Nik Original potato sticks (which turned out to be bland) / Pik Nik Sea Salt and Vinegar shoestring potato sticks (SALTY!) / replacement thin Secret bamboo socks / on-sale large store brand Ziploc bags / 200 small store brand Ziploc bags before getting home at 5:20 on a 407. I now have a large Ziploc bag full of small Ziploc bags!
