Today is Dictionary Day! :D

Canada Post didn't even make an effort to deliver my newest Bathroom Reader in my mailbox, instead sticking a "failure to deliver" notice inside without a phone call. Guess I'll have to make the trek over to Blundell Centre tomorrow before the hockey game... sigh. Of course I had to shower today, though.

I went out at 3:10 (just managing to catch the 401) to London Drugs to buy a new Vileda PowerFibres toilet brush and holder, a new Vileda dust pan, new store brand multivitamins, Clover Leaf pink salmon x2, and Gilette bar mop towels x2. I also mailed something to Julie, and got home at 3:45 on another 401 bus. Laurie is in for the MEGA SUSHI dinner, too! MORE COFFEE!

"You Are Wise"

You are a steady, smart, and savvy person. You can be counted on to keep your head, even in times of crisis.
You spend a lot of time thinking, and you value knowledge. You are constantly learning.

You seek to understand first no matter what. From there, you can lend assistance and support the best you can.
You are constantly growing your perspective. You feel like there is always more to be gained from seeing the bigger picture.

"You Are a Heath Blizzard"

You are a unique person who does your own thing in life. You are always inspired and thinking up new plans.
You can be a bit of a geek, and you wouldn't have it any other way. You like delving deep into a subject.

You tend to have some unusual preferences, but it's only because you take in so much of the world. You sample as much as you can.
You crave the comfort of the things and people you like best. However, you are always open to trying something new for a change.

Jon sent me a Facebook message at 9:40 about possibly helping with the kids on Monday afternoon, and mentioned that he'd let Harmony arrange Wednesday with me. Sure, why not? That reminded me to call Barry AGAIN at 11:45 to see if I could change our appointment time since that's also on Wednesday. This time, I left a message! He called me back shortly after, saying that he'd been going to call me because he also wanted to change the appointment time since he'll be in Vancouver for longer than he thought. YAY FOR GOOD TIMING! Thursday afternoon at 12:30 works for me!

From Not Always Right: Kai Drawwater?! Draw Water?! Now I want fish and chips, too...

From Not Always Right: Katrin Schirmir?! The last name is rhymy, and the first name looks incomplete. It should really be Katrina! She also claims to be an introvert (but uses it in the "social anxiety" way), claims to be part of the LGBT spectrum (yet is married to a man), and always repeats people's jokes back to them when she isn't commenting 20 times on one story alone...

From Not Always Working: Kristen Parlee? Parlee as in "parley" spelled correctly, as in TALKING?!

From Not Always Working: Keera Ann Fox?!

From Not Always Working: Keesha Turner?! I bet she's black...

"You Are the Judicial Branch"

You have a well-developed sense of right and wrong, but you are always open to changing your mind about the details.
You have a very rational mind. You never judge until you learn all of the facts and context for something.

You are good at seeing issues in full. You can hold a lot of details in your head at once, and you're able to organize chaos.
You aren't an overly emotional person, and you can see when people are arguing from emotion. You can step back and assess without passion.

Steph called me at noon to catch up. She'd tried calling me last week to say that she'd received the card I'd mailed for baby Henry, but I'd been sleeping! She said that Cecilia and Angela Mok had visited her and baby Henry, and so did Sandy's family. Thank goodness they didn't go with Michael for the baby's middle name (after Lisa's dad Mike), but went with Mike's middle name instead. Fraser apparently loves the animal book I got him, wanting Lisa to read it to him multiple times a day EVERY DAY (much to her chagrin), and is now recognizing and naming a lot of those animals by himself. He also likes baby Henry, wanting to kiss him a lot, which is good! Steph says that Hiero is "very naughty" when it comes to Mom, and apparently, he hit her the other day. Go, Hiero!

Apparently, Mom wants Steph to intervene in Ryan and Morgan's cancelled wedding - that's not her business, and she probably wouldn't want to, anyway! Fraser was at daycare right then (which is more interesting than being at home with just Steph and the baby), and Henry was making funny noises when he was waking up from a nap. I said hi to him and told him that I was his aunt, which apparently got no reaction, but that's okay since he's a baby. I also told Steph that Ayler now knows the word "vagina," and that our parents were indeed horrified when he said that at lunch! I can imagine him asking me whether I have one - oh dear. Imagine if he busts that word out at kindergarten when he starts school! Steph says that she and Lisa are thinking of coming here in November around Remembrance Day weekend, and that Lisa just transplanted her job over when they moved - good stuff!

I went out at 1:10 to London Drugs so I could mail a card and stickers to Fraser EARLY for his second birthday, and bought a small Jersey Milk chocolate bar / Ragusa Noir dark chocolate bars x2 for me and Eric Ho / on-sale Lindt Fudge Swirl chocolate truffles. When I got home, the Internet STILL was spotty and not working, so I had to call up Shaw AGAIN to see what was going on with that. The girl recommended I go to the Richmond Centre Shaw store and pick up a free Wi-Fi router / modem instead of waiting for it to be mailed, so I did that at 3.

I also dropped by Shoppers Drug Mart to see what else they had for sale: I saved $12 on Stouffer's Sauté Sensations! Thai Chicken, Shrimp Alfredo, Chicken Alfredo, and Chicken Parmigiana... yay for working freezers! Then I got home and called Shaw again, getting an East Indian person in Winnipeg instead. He eventually set up an appointment on Friday between 12 and 2 for a technician to come out, but also put me on a priority line because I technically had no service. At 6:15, I went on a useless time-wasting trip to Brighouse Library because I couldn't remember any passwords! After I walked home, I played more FINAL FANTASY V SPOOF from when I continued it earlier in the afternoon.

After COFFEE TIME, I had to go out to celebrate Dad's birthday - UGH! At least I got the Samyang 2X spicy Hot Chicken Flavor Ramen (chicken with a bomb!) noodles for Jon from Big Crazy, haha! To kill some time after leaving way early at 10:05 on a 407, I went to Shoppers and bought the cheapest baby boy card that they had ($3 is much better than $7!), plus some cream of mushroom soup since I was at the store anyway. I used the brand new self-checkout machines, and the scanning area seems to be much easier than others which I've used! Then I killed time at Book Warehouse and Trendybucks, where I had a conversation with a woman who noticed my large London Drugs reusable bag. I didn't mind that at all, actually! Jon and Harmony picked me up at the Royal Bank parking lot at 11:25-ish as advertised in Jon's 7:45 AM Facebook message. We had a dim sum lunch at Haiyi Seafood Restaurant on Main and 31st: shrimp dumplings, purple sweet potato dumplings, beef tendons, noodles, rice, egg tarts, shrimp rolls, and more! Ayler asked me if I liked "poke," which is apparently his word for blood draws. Then he said the word "vagina" because Harmony was reading a kids' book about girls' bodies to him - well, kindergarten is going to be interesting, haha.

Mom said that Steph and Lisa aren't going to be here in October because Ryan's wedding has been called off. WHAT?! Good thing that I hadn't mailed the card for baby Henry yet, so I could obscure that reference to October with a black Sharpie later on! Then we talked about getting the kids to eat something, Hiero coming over to me so he could say hi, a video of Havarti swimming, future plans, Ayler loving the lazy Susan, and other things. When Mom and Dad dropped me off at King Edward Station, I decided to go to London Drugs so I could get some more gold / silver / bronze Sharpies [Dec. 30, 2016] for my wallet (so people can feel SPECIAL!) before mailing the baby card at their post office. I got home at 2:10 on a 407, and put some tape in my wallet as well, just in case. Then I put my other gold / silver / bronze Sharpies in my new Modella cosmetics bag near the computer, along with some index cards and pens even though I have plenty in the other two nearby Sterilite boxes. Later, I read that disability payment is actually going up by $100 a month in September, so that's awesome news!

Random stuff from Mom and Dad: three Mega Rolls of Royale toilet paper, a spiral school notebook from Portland, a fridge magnet from our farewell breakfast for Steph and company, Uncle Ben's Country Inn chicken and wild rice, Chinese toothbrush / toothpaste / two hairbrushes from Hotel Wing International, a Joytel Group Hotels toothbrush, a Sweet Cat Miss Gang blue-green shirt / a grey "New York" shirt with gibberish on it from Asia. In what world does "New York floeer srtr KNTIM klyet falo vsing poarts mrlrty daing mrlrty" make sense?!

I think it's amusing that I'm mentioning Teunis and Krista in the same post since they used to go out with each other and are now exes, haha. :D

After MORE COFFEE TIME, I went out at 6:15 to mail Lisa's Twisted Whiskers goldfish in martini birthday card to her at the London Drugs post office. Then I went to the Richmond Centre Dining Terrace food court (eating some food first - vegetable chow mein, mixed vegetables, pepper steak, and slightly spicy Kung Pao chicken from Kung Pao Wok) to meet up briefly with Teunis so to return a Christmas-themed envelope with Teunis's name on it, plus a Percy Jackson and Olympians: The Lightning Thief DVD box. At least, I intended it to be briefer than it was. He brought his wife and child (Rochelle and Heidi) from Burnaby, and we both got closure on what happened in 2011, which is nice. Discussed his not talking to Jasmine anymore (good!), understanding, being stressed out, no online following (which is totally fine), vegetables, his treating me to a mango oolong bubble tea with small pearls from Fair Bee Bubble Tea (I was too fast for him when it came to dinner food!), and my nephews.

We also talked about their Vietnamese food with sauces and shrimp salad rolls, Heidi wanting to give me her used plastic cutlery, his meeting Mike once briefly, our lives now, shaking hands, web design, Heidi's impatience / thinking it was Metrotown with the train for kids / liking all the lights, the Canucks, Vikings, my learning the importance of non-rushed alone time / non-emergencies, and a floor plan of the mall. I got home with leftovers at 8:20 on a 407, which is good because it was still light out. At least he says that it's good to see I'm doing much better, and I can say the same for him as well.

After I finally blocked Randal (who tried CALLING me?!), Janina let me know that she got the skull bandages / skull notebooks / Ghostly Kit-Kats / Scaries / ScAero / Coffin Crisp / letter stickers / Halloween cards / a birthday card which I'd mailed her and Marilynn last week. She appreciates my prayers and good thoughts, as well she should! Emailed Chinese Eric about things, not least the Thanksgiving Dinner! That made me feel a lot better, too. :D
glowing_dragon: (LJ Drama)
Went out to buy another bubble-wrap envelope for Corey, a 69-cent CANADA one-litre bottled water / some Jensen's Chips for me, Ghostly Kit-Kats x8 (me / Eric Ho / Corey / Janina / Marilynn / Chrystal / Harmony / Lisa), Scaries x3, ScAero x3, and Coffin Crisp x3 at London Drugs before I mailed skull bandages / skull notebooks / scary candy / letter stickers / Halloween cards / a birthday card to Janina and Marilynn. It was $21.82, but I'll eat the extra cost. When I got home, I emailed Corey to make sure he's coming home for Xmas from Taiwan, and organized everything into Ziploc bags. I didn't forget the extra skull notebook, Christmas card, birthday card, or glittery Vegas postcard for Corey!
