After COFFEE TIME, Eric Ho called to confirm the time he was coming over to watch a lot of hockey, so I had to take a shower! I had the parking pass, bottled water, the Lindt caramel Easter eggs, Lindt Blueberries and Cream / Strawberries and Cream / Milk and White Spring Edition chocolate truffles, the Russell Stover praline chocolates assortment, the Laura Secord peanut-free chocolate assortment, and the Kit-Kat Senses hazelnut chocolate assortment ready for him in a huge Ziploc bag, plus smaller ones as appropriate. That was in a Price Smart plastic bag since I also had Ferrero Rocher hazelnut Easter eggs and Easter Egg Oreo cookies for him. Yes, of course we could have Deb's frozen Great Value All-Beef meat lasagna for dinner, plus a lot of snacks! I also got him to help open my eyedrops and buy me some heavy bottled water (a 24-pack for the rounded-down price of $5) while he was out anyway, and all I had to do was text him my Price Smart card number and address. Phew!

He got here at 3:25 and quickly settled in to watch some Blue Jays baseball. Yes, he definitely thanked me for all the stuff mentioned above! We talked about Korean LEAGUE OF LEGENDS players, always being online, Steph, the Habs and the playoffs, ARE YOU SHUTTING ME?, the Mi Goreng chips (which he thinks are "wicked"), Winnipeg Jets playing the Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators playing the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Canadian dollar falling. Also spoke on Jim Hughson, CBC After Hours (Markstrom / Josh Leivo / Tyler Seguin), Sportspage, Sportsnet Pacific, ownership, excitement, my being able to text him at any time for things like heavy bottled water, Facebook tagging (which he's cool with), my online hockey fan friends (don't remind me of Jimmy...), Quinn Hughes, April Fool's Day (ugh), and opening the living room window. I'm well aware that he thinks my apartment is too warm!

Conversed about the ENDLESS CONSTRUCTION ZONE and closures around here, Google, pay-per-view Canucks games, Hockey Night in Canada / Hockey Day in Canada, the Whitecaps soccer game and the origins of the Southsiders nickname, long-range planning for his birthday (a Thursday - he enjoyed hanging out with me and white Eric last year at Boston Pizza) and Christon's wedding at the Blundell Church / the nearby Kirin, and HOCKEYVILLE. Discussed my new Reddit friends, his lupus making him overheat easily (he's already transitioned to a Toronto Blue Jays T-shirt and wondered if my DRAGON HOODIE was too hot for me - NOPE!), the Korean BBQ chips, the Salsitas, his ranting, bumping into "whoever" (Mike - don't be so vague!), Trudeau, "injury time / stoppage time" in soccer (where they add on time to the game based on injury recovery time DURING the game - can't imagine that in hockey or football), the old days going to Nathan's basement, "ineptitude" being a "big word" for 9:35 at night, his doing the dishes, and his liking to hang out with me. The Canucks played the Stars at 7 tonight... the game went to overtime plus a shootout, and Vancouver won 3-2! At least Eric Ho could go home happy, but he didn't like that the shootout went so long because he has to work tomorrow.

I like these hangouts from the point of view of updated blogging and not having to wait till I go home to start. YAY! Now I just need to relax from constant talking and vagueness!

Most rounds in an NHL shootout: 20?! Most hockey OT periods ever: Eight in the Norwegian League, surpassing the 1936 NHL record of six?!

Before COFFEE TIME, I called Chrystal to see what time we should meet tonight; 7:30 sounds good to me! I went out early at 5:30 to see if I could get that dragon hoodie at H and M after figuring out all the sidewalk and bus stop closures. They were all in a Medium size, but I figured that I'd make it work somehow. I didn't even care that I couldn't exchange it or get a refund since it was on clearance! $15 off - from $39.99 to $24.99! Then I went to the nearby London Drugs, then to the Broadway / Cambie London Drugs. Figured I'd spend my $75 tax refund while I was out and could do stuff, and I did! Now I have to wait for the April credit to go through, ha ha ha...

As I was reading an ARCHIE book, Chrystal came up to me - she was on time today! I told her that I had a birthday card for her, and not to worry about the rest of the stuff in my bulky reusable bag - that was all for me! We went to Pho Extreme Xe Lua to catch up: her parents going to Dubai pretty soon, Ethan and Mike being sick with the flu, my new Reddit friends, the whole Woob and Twitter screenshots saga, Benjamin being about the same age as Beckett, Beckett screaming as loud as the 80s music inside Como Taperia, and her knowing that I liked spicy stuff. After dinner, I went home instead of joining Brian, Paulo, and others at the American. I did stop by Shoppers Drug Mart when I got to Brighouse so I could get the aforementioned chips and dip. Got home at 9:10 on a 401, no thanks to MORE complicated sidewalk closures! They did make a temporary crosswalk near the intersection at my place, though.

End result: I have an appointment next Friday with Dr. Wise (the only day she's in) to check the eye pressure. The Canucks played Chicago at 5:30 today, and lost 4-3 in overtime. When I got to Deb and Dylan's last night, I got settled in as Declan told me a lot of stuff about MOTHER GOOSE PRESCHOOL MINECRAFT / Eep the Mouse / spawns and mobs and Creepers. Elysse was watching FROZEN downstairs, so she told me about Anna and Elsa and Olaf. Typical kid talk, but I don't mind knowing about their stuff and interests! They were able to stay up till 10 PM just entertaining themselves for the most part, so that was good for them. Elysse described Hiero as her best friend, which is cute. Declan also knows Ayler, of course. At least the kids seemed to like me, so YAY!

Today started out with HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON, iPads, a poppyseed bagel for breakfast, then after a while, Dylan kindly agreed to take me by my place while he and Elysse were out anyway so I could get some more pants. We also went to a random house to get an AirSoft table for Hiero's birthday party next week. Elysse was pretty patient, all things considered. I opted for the Walmart elevators every time, even if I had to meet Dylan and Elysse upstairs since the kid wanted the escalators. She and I looked at a lot of toys, even if she wanted to pull me to the escalators after she was done people-watching. Too bad that I'm still stronger than a little girl on the eve of her fifth birthday! I didn't pull her arm, though. We discussed how it was fine and okay to make mistakes, a bunch of toys, HATCHIMAL toys, and dolls.

We got home in time for more MINECRAFT, but it was naptime for me! I got up in time for Dylan's parents to show up and then leave a little later for the family dinner they had tonight. Deb kindly made me soup with veggies and noodles, plus some other noodle leftovers and gyoza... Dylan cut up some meat for me as well before they left. I had peace and quiet to do some naughty things before they got back at 9:30. (I also watched some YOU and EAT A CUP OF TEA on Netflix) Dylan's parents are staying overnight from Langley, which is good. Lots of styrofoam from Elysse's new ballerina doll, that's for sure!

Eric emailed me back to say that he could drive me to baby Beckett's dedication service on Sunday, but he has to be at church at 9:25 AM. That should be fine, I guess. After COFFEE TIME and seeing Rachel at the Caring Place at 2 on a 414, I took the 406 and 410 (just managed to get it!) to buy stuff. I got 28 birthday cards / HERSHEY'S Gold Peanuts and Pretzels 39g chocolate bar (which is already broken... CHOMP!) / a Laura Secord Chocolate Fudge 28g bar / Laura Secord Butter and Cream Fudge bar (all $1.25 for tiny things?! THAT MUST BE THEIR PROFIT!) from Dollar Tree. I got 壽桃 Sau Tao Mustard Green Duck vermicelli noodles x2 / Knorr hot and sour soup mix x5 which expires in May 2019 / Paldo (팔도 (Paldo)) Gomtang beef noodles x4 / Nissin sesame oil noodles x5 which expire in April 2019 from Big Crazy.

Then I purchased Heat Holders thermal socks (SOCKS ON SOCK DAY! WHAT A QUIRKY COINCIDENCE!), Black Friday on-sale store brand garlic pills which expire in May 2020, and NEW White Chocolate Peppermint M and M candy from London Drugs after taking the 410 back there. Somehow, ALL THAT took 90 minutes, despite the dollar store and Big Crazy being NEXT DOOR to each other, and London Drugs being a short bus ride away! People with a billion things in front of me at the store, I swear... I got home at 5:25 on a 401 through the construction zone, and noted the security guard sitting in the smoky-smelling front hall. The Canucks played Minnesota at 7 tonight, and lost 3-2... UGH!

IT'S APPRECIATE A DRAGON DAY! :D

I left at 2:30 on a 407 for my 3:10 appointment with Dr. Ruby. Since I was early, I went to Big Crazy to see if they had beef jerky. They did, so I bought another salmon jerky (for Paul) and extra-spicy beef jerky for myself, plus hot and sour soup mix x5 since I was there anyway. Then I went to the Dollar Tree to see if they had sizable bubble-wrap envelopes (they did not), and bought extra forks (which I've somehow lost) and a blank card for Cuya. Got my appointment done in an efficient manner, but waiting for the 410 was not ideal. Whatever - I went to customer service at London Drugs with my impossible hand sanitizer and its receipt, and the lady said I could just grab a new bottle and show that to her on my way out. PHEW! I got another bubble-wrap envelope from the post office, then showed the lady a new hand sanitizer before leaving to go to Boston Pizza.

I wandered in and was pleasantly surprised to discover that it was Pasta Tuesday, so OF COURSE I ordered a jambalaya fettuccine for old times' sake! I really just wanted the table so I could write out Paul's info on the bubble-wrap envelope, but the food was a great incentive also! After eating and paying, I went back to the London Drugs to mail those black pepper salmon jerky boxes ($23?!) and get some on-sale Pecan Praline Turtles chocolate / a Ragusa Noir chocolate bar / Mega Blocks for Hiero's birthday present. Got home at 5:25 on a 407 - it was definitely a spendy day today, but I think it was worth it. Now Paul is saying that I'm so kind when he hasn't streamed in a month (like I know about that?), and Cuya is thanking me a lot while we discuss disability and personal things, both on Discord. OH YEAH! FRIENDS! :D

From Sarah G., Postize, and Tumblr: "Fun Fact! The reason that the plural of "goose" is "geese" but the plural of "moose" is not "meese" is because 'goose" derives from an ancient Germanic word undergoing strong declension, in the pattern of "foot / feet" and "tooth / teeth," wherein "oo" is mutated to "ee." However, "moose" is a Native American word added to the English lexicon only about 400 years ago, and lacks the etymological reason to be pluralized in that way." "Oh, baby. COFFEE TIME! Jon messaged me yesterday (while I was talking to Helen Y. and Tommy about forgiveness and Jimmy being a turd because of his new Pittsburgh girlfriend Jessica) to say that he'd given me the wrong time for today, so wanted me to come over an hour earlier. Sure, I guess so. Eric M. also emailed me this morning to say that he has to be at Jeremy's at 3 for Saturday food prep, so he'll be here at 2:30 or so. Sounds okay to me - thank goodness I have a book to pass the time, or I can help too! I had Jon's Elmer Chocolates assortment of caramels / fudges / cremes / truffles when I left at 2:10 to attempt to cash Lena's US cheque (SO MUCH LINEUP and can't access it for a while because of my brand-new US money account!) / buy a BBQ pork bun at Kam Do Bakery (no lineup!) / mail Corey's birthday card and Deanna's Christmas card and birthday card at the Shoppers Drug Mart post office (no lineup!) / get to Jon's new place by 3:30-ish. Turns out I managed to find the house (without numbers on the front!) two minutes before his guitar students did, so that was fine - I just had to navigate the logjam of stuff by the door! Ayler was eating cheese and an orange while Jon requested me to help with dishes; sure, why not? Hiero just "played monkey bars" and hid under the table... not very effective, buddy! No, Ayler could not eat all the chocolates for dinner like he'd been hoping! However, he did sit in my lap unbidden to play with the toys. Of course I let him do that without comment!

Later, we played with some science toy discovery kit and 200-piece solar system puzzle, and the kids seemed to be cooperating reasonably well, even if Ayler had been upset earlier because of something else. We had vegetarian shepherd's pie, pomegranate, tea, orange juice, and some salad rolls with peanut sauce for an "early" dinner. Jon was surprised that I hadn't eaten a proper lunch, but when I'd had dumplings already in the morning, a bakery item was fine for me to eat on the train. We talked about Chinese Eric / white Eric / Jeremy, "body acids" (enzymes), it being okay to say no if you don't like something (MY WISDOM!), no school tomorrow (Pro-D days!), words that start with K, a birthday party on Saturday for Ayler's friend, a "mermaid" move at gymnastics (which somehow evolved from church and holding onto bars - very interesting and confusing!), drawing kangaroos / (crappy) stars / "sad people in jail" (what?!) / very simple line snowflakes / letters on a memo pad, a bag of clothes which Mom and Dad gave me, and watching out for a step outside. (Jon later said I could avoid it by taking the laneway out and turning right) The Canucks played the Predators at 5 today, I saw a stream on Jon's laptop when it was 3-2, and I got home at 7:45 (just managing to catch all three buses since I took the 401 and train!) to discover that we'd won 5-3, and Daniel Sedin had finally scored his 1000th point in the NHL! Too bad that Derek Dorsett's career is over now, though.

Luckily for Chrystal, she's not the new supervisor! We finally figured out a new date to meet up: Friday, June 9 at the usual place, which is the London Drugs across the street from Broadway Station. Then we just caught up by phone: her nephew Ethan likes learning about numbers and clocks, and would love musical toy mats! We talked about Ayler turning five tomorrow, Steph being in town recently, Emily and Mike finally completing their move (and selling a lot of furniture online), Father's Day being around June 16 (June 18), and my dropping by to see Ayler tomorrow afternoon. She thanked me for being so flexible, and said that I was her mental health break, haha. Cool, I guess!

They did, but they also had a no-return policy, which I was not comfortable with. THAT WAS A WASTE OF TIME AND ENERGY! Then I went to the liquor store, where I selected some NEW on-sale 40% Crown Royal Deluxe whiskey ($2 off for 1.14 litres!) which included a tiny 50mL sample of NEW 90% Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye whiskey. I then decided to go to Specialty Chicken and Wonton House so I could try a NEW Buddha's Feast (a New Year's goal) as takeout. My last stop was London Drugs for a spare red face cloth, new Scotch scissors for my table since the old ones were rusty, NEW peanut butter Whittaker chocolate / NEW peppermint Whittaker chocolate for myself, on-sale assorted Lindt Easter eggs x2 (one for Ayler and Hiero / one for me), on-sale $2 Dawn dish detergent (Mediterranean Lavender), on-sale Hershey's Eggies, NEW Carmex lip balm x2, a replacement Gibson owl coffee mug (with a sticker which was easily peeled!) since my sunflower and rooster one kinda cracked, and on-sale store brand 40 garbage bags x2. I got home at 3:45 when it was just starting to rain with random raindrops. By the time I went out two hours later to throw my garbage out, it was really raining - good timing on my part!

In BOZOBOUND, the Robot Pilot is finally free in Greenland upon seeing Blue Antoid after going through the Rainy Circle Caves with Robot! "I'm free! Thanks, Robot."

In BOZOBOUND, Robot goes to Stonehenge Base in Greenland. For some weird reason, something that looks like a very large gold brick is in the way.

Here is the Cloaked Flying Device from Dr. Andonuts in Greenland, which Robot will use to get to Bozo and Paige in Cirque de Town! It looks like a white cloud with a smiley face.

Mom and Dad FINALLY picked me up nearer to noon, and gave me some cooked chicken / cooked turkey / peanut Glossettes / Chinese egg cake snacks / a mooncake / organic carrots / Skyflakes crackers. Luckily, I could put everything in the freezer or fridge or on the table before I left yet again. Met up with Steph and Lisa at Dogwood, where we have to think of Grandma as a baby now. We helped her drink juice / milk / soup, wipe her mouth, and engage her in this world before she fell asleep in the middle of eating! (just like a real baby would) At least she recognized us even if she won't talk much (side effect of the tumor?), and remembers Uncle Michael. Grandma asked us several times whether we wanted to eat or were hungry - nope! I was evil, and enabled Lisa's love of chocolate by giving her the Halloween-themed Ziploc bag of Coffin Crisp / Ghostly Kit Kat / ScAeros / Scaries; Steph said I was bad, hahaha.

We went to the Copa Café for lunch, where Mom found out that the "free milk tea" coupons she got last time were only for dinner; I'll throw mine out, although I really wasn't planning on using them anyhow. Not sure whether Chinese Eric has used his; tried calling him the other day with no answer other than the fax machine screech, but that's perfectly fine! We'll get together one of these days. (and I need that...) Talked about Havarti's size / puppy school, Thanksgiving dinner of duck and turkey being delayed one week because of Alberta, Portland / Seattle, Mom's gay friends Tom and Tom (Steph also thought they were from San Francisco - they're apparently from Minnesota!), the George Massey tunnel / Port Mann bridge, care aspects like tearaway clothing, Christon and Jeremy's birthday dinner next weekend (THANKSGIVING is why they're not having it on Sunday?!), Jon's annual birthday dinner extravaganza, how Lisa isn't supposed to have gum (but took a piece anyway), dinner invites, and more. Bugged Steph with sitting in the middle, leg slaps, "lawyer" talk, and general NG stuff. Got home at 2:15 to hopefully relax a bit before tonight. Also formulated a reply to Deb's email which wouldn't be full of inappropriate words for that religious woman, hahahaha.
