Yesterday, Holly invited me to Steveston Pizza at her place tonight. Nobody was going to have the $850 pizza! ("SEENAY: Medley of tiger prawns, lobster ratatouille, smoked steelhead, Russian Osetra caviar, snowed with Italian white truffles $850") After I showered and had COFFEE TIME, Brian kindly picked me up at the hospital at 7:10 even though the pizza place was way closer to his apartment. We chatted about the expensive pizza (a MOUND of seafood on the order before his?!) and the NHL Draft Pick Lottery Day before getting to Holly's, where I unsuccessfully completed a call to her. She wanted to throw her keys down to us again, but actually answered the door instead once she realized Brian had five pizza boxes.

I said hey to Darryl and Paulo, informing Paulo that the temporary crosswalk was now closed off. He put his head in his hands and said, "I hate it..." Trust me, I understand ANY ranting he has to do on the issue! We all talked about life, Vegas, walking a lot on the LONG Strip blocks, online people, chatrooms, drunkenness, dodgy stuff, seeing family members, work schedules, Holly's new job starting tomorrow, dead people, being a travel agent, working with the general public, and upcoming plans. As usual, I have none. I did almost forget my jacket, oops. Darryl called me by name when we said bye to him outside, which shouldn't really be a surprise. Brian dropped me and Paulo off at about 9:40, which is pretty good. I actually have time to blog without being rushed off to do other things!

Chinese Eric called me at 11:50 to ask if I got his voicemail yesterday. No, since I never check that or the answering machine. He wanted to know if he could come over on Saturday since there's NO WORK and watch a lot of hockey: almost two games' worth, including the Canucks-Stars game. That sounds fine to me! I will have the parking pass, bottled water, the Lindt caramel Easter eggs, Lindt Blueberries and Cream / Strawberries and Cream / Milk and White Spring Edition chocolate truffles, the Russell Stover praline chocolates assortment, the Laura Secord peanut-free chocolate assortment, and the Kit-Kat Senses hazelnut chocolate assortment in a huge Ziploc bag (plus smaller ones as appropriate) ready for him. That is in a Price Smart plastic bag since I also had Ferrero Rocher hazelnut Easter eggs and Easter Egg Oreo cookies for him. Yes, of course we can have Deb's frozen Great Value All-Beef meat lasagna from APPRECIATE A DRAGON DAY for dinner, plus a lot of snacks!

After I had COFFEE TIME, Barry picked me up at 10:50 and we went banking and to Price Smart. I got NEW on-sale Samyang curry terrorist noodles, Cottonelle toilet paper x2, on-sale Sidekicks x6 (Creamy Bacon Carbonara / Garlic Butter with Lemon / Creamy Chicken Fusilli / Three-Cheese / Homestyle Cheddar / Tomato Alfredo), Ferrero Rocher hazelnut Easter eggs and NEW Easter Egg Oreos for Eric Ho and me, NEW Dark Chocolate Oreo cookies, Crayola Original washable markers x2 (yay for felts!), on-sale Good Taste dumplings x5 (Cabbage and Pork / Pork and Celery / Cabbage and Chicken / Beef and Vegetable / Pork and Chive), and NEW Dawn Lavender Wisp dish detergent.

Also got bananas, Finesse Daily Renewal shampoo and conditioner, on-sale Western Family garbage bags (60 to a box!), Western Family Skyr yogurt x2 (plain and vanilla!), Nongshim Kamja Tang Myun rich potato noodles, NEW Palmolive Soft Touch dish detergent x2 (Almond Milk and Blueberry / Coconut Butter and Orchid), on-sale Uncle Ben's rice x3 (Tomato and Herb / Cilantro and Lime / Southwest Style) and NEW St. Ives Oatmeal and Shea Butter soothing body wash. Later, I paid my Shaw bill online at home. The Canucks played the Senators at 7 tonight, and won 7-4 after practically blowing a 5-0 lead in the third.

Yesterday, I called Chinese Eric to see if he could give me a ride to Jeremy's or back home. He called me back on his lunch break (at 1:20 BEFORE I left to see Rachel), and he was planning to take transit to work at the Art Gallery and then go straight to Jeremy's. I hoped Kevin could drive me to Broadway Station again since white Eric can't make it because of his hockey commitments! I had to leave really early for Jeremy's place because I had to walk to Brighouse station - thanks, endless sewer upgrades and construction! Luckily, I found an in-service bus stop at Alderbridge, so I killed time at Shoppers, buying Korean BBQ Kettle Chips x3 and some Nair. FUCKING JIMMY! Got to Dude Chilling Park at 6:10, which was slightly early. Kingsgate Mall was closing, too.

I met up with Jeremy (so we could all see his new flooring / baseboards and test some marbles on it), Christon, Kevin, Chinese Eric, and Randal. Christon made some pulled pork, chicken and coleslaw. We had my Indomie Mi Goreng chips / various beers (like the cocoa / vanilla Winter Ale) / salsa / Que Pasa chips, called Eric Ho to see where he was, figured out the long wifi password (which Jeremy didn't think much of at first - but then realized he'd never seen me with a smartphone before), discussed my eye surgeries and Jeremy's nose surgery / Huawei / the Rugby Sevens / Uniqlo / Muji / Daiso / real estate / wedding planning / people with 4400 to 5000 Facebook friends, the Lucky Charms Saturday Morning beer for St. Patrick's Day, and waited for Jon to get there even later. I wanted to go home at 10, but nope - I had to wait for 45 more minutes, despite Chinese Eric wanting to head home right after the game ended at 9:30!

Jeremy loved the blurb for the Lucky Charms beer and laughed at it, at least! Kevin did indeed drive me to Broadway Station, while Jon and Chinese Eric got rides back home from Randal. Yeah, that wasn't too bad. I ended up getting home at around midnight on a 401 (passing up a 407 at Brighouse), and was surprised that I was still somewhat awake, since I'd gone to bed at 9:45 yesterday. I did make myself some hot chocolate to warm up from the cold weather. The Canucks played the Knights at 7 tonight, and lost 6-2. Not good if it was 5-1 at the end of the first... 3-0 after the first twelve minutes!

IT'S APPRECIATE A DRAGON DAY! I showered and did laundry today after unpacking. Deb emailed me before the game to ask how it was being home, and say that both the kids were asking about me - cute! The Canucks played Edmonton at 7 tonight, and lost 3-2 in a shootout while also trading Michael Del Zotto to the Ducks during the game.

I found my charger on the drawer knob yesterday morning, then somehow slept with both that AND the plug in the bed last night... oops! Deb asked if I wanted to hang around their house today while everyone was at school and work, or if I wanted to go home for the day. I said I'd go home, thinking of using the computer instead of mobile to be FASTER! So after a breakfast of a Nutella sandwich and milk, and almost tripping over Declan on the stairs, she and Declan drove me back here. Good thing, too - I definitely had to poop at some point! I also had coffee here to save time... but I'd have pooped at the townhouse if I'd HAD to! Wait - Deb even packed me a lunch of last night's leftovers of lamb steak, ribs, and gai lan?! SO NICE!

2018 Year In Review!

THIS ENTRY IS ALLOWED TO HAVE NON-ALIGNED TAGS.

[Meme fun: Take the first line from the first post of every month of the year. Repost it here as your year in review. (I'm discounting greetings and things like that :P) Yeah, it's been an interesting year!]

Go to your Calendar and find the first entry for each month of the year. Post the first line of it in your journal as a paragraph, and that's your "Year In Review."

I got a baby girl card for Jason and Vanessa ("KEEP CALM AND CARRY BABY WIPES"), NEW Shasha organic ginger snaps for Vanessa (no sugar?!), 200g of on-sale Ferrero Rocher, 100 store brand bandages, a NEW Carnation variety pack of hot chocolate (TURTLES Canada / Coffee Crisp / After Eight), and NEW Lipton Chicken Noodle Supreme soup from London Drugs, which has just started charging for plastic bags. SO MUCH ON-SALE BLACK PEPPER SALMON JERKY FOR ME AND JIMMY AND JULIE, OH MY! I called Barry at 8:35 AM to tell him about the mouse on the glue trap which I discovered last night. The computer restarted at 6 AM! I called Barry at 9:40 this morning to remind him about going to Rona for a Victor Pest Chaser Ultrasonic Rodent Repeller, which cost $33. I went to the pharmacy next door at 1:50 to refill my prescription early; yes, even Adam commented on it!

I left at 5:55 to get two 3-subject Hilroy notebooks in green and light blue (for home use and road use) from London Drugs, returning home at 6:40 on a late 407. CHOCOLATE AND BATHROOM REPLACEMENTS GALORE AGAIN, and today's date is a palindrome: 8/1/18! Yesterday, Frances C. emailed me to say that she couldn't make it to Felico's because of work, which is fine. I went out at 12 on a 401 so I could buy Campbell's Chunky Soup (Jerk Chicken with Vegetables / Butter Chicken with Vegetables), NESCAFÉ instant coffee (December 16, 2017), a NEW on-sale limited edition Oh Henry! Canada / Oh Henry 4:25 Pop-Up candy bar, barkTHINS snacking dark chocolate with pumpkin seeds for Thanksgiving dinner, NEW limited edition Doritos Late Night Fully-Loaded Nacho chips, and HALLS assorted mint cough drops. I went out at 12:20 on a 414 to do some shopping for on-sale Halloween candy and Advent calendars. COFFEE TIME while I'm still figuring out why Jimmy blocked me instead of just talking to me about what I did...... I should have posed it as a hypothetical a while ago!

After COFFEE TIME, Barry picked me up at 8:30 AM so we could go to the UBC Eye Care Centre on Willow at 9:15 AM for an eye measurement scan because of my dense cataract. RED LIGHTS IN FRONT OF MY EYES! SMELLING SKIN! The technician asked where my parents were and why they weren't with me... I CAN TAKE CARE OF THINGS MYSELF, AND MY RIDE IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!

Barry and I talked about the rush-hour traffic, the Royal Bank kiosk machine that I noticed yesterday inside Shoppers, changing the payday shopping appointment plans to THURSDAY instead of Wednesday at 9:30 AM (gets me out of going to Dinesty with the parents!), his ongoing Wednesday appointments at 11, the RDSP stuff, and music. I got home at 10:10, and he helped me move the bedframe support back inside from where the cleaners left it outside where I'd bump into it. OUCH! I still can't close my bedroom door fully, though.

While I remembered, I emailed Eric about the construction zone and consequent road closures as a reminder for Sunday's ride to Jeremy's. He replied to say that he has a cold, so might not be okay for Sunday - UGH! The Canucks played the Wild at 5 today, and lost 6-2! I also discovered that SOMEONE put my Not Always Right / Not Always Right / Not Always Working / Not Always Romantic / Not Always Related / Not Always Learning / Not Always Friendly / Not Always Hopeless / Not Always Legal / Not Always Healthy / Unfiltered / Popular Disqus account on a commenting timeout! WHAT THE FUCK?! NOT ALWAYS FUN! Too bad - I've been on there since September 2008, thanks to my ex-friends David K. and Candace! MORE THAN A DECADE!

I went to the pharmacy next door at 1:30 to refill my prescription, showered, and did laundry today. Then I went to H and M to see if I could get sweatpants. No luck at all, even when I dragged an associate across the store! At least now I have the phone number and (mow that I'm home) the proper tag numbers for my preferred style of sweatpants! 604-279-1811 AND 063 658 68! When I got home and organized stuff, I called the store - they don't have that one because it's popular / best-selling, but will have a shipment in very soon, and said I should call in the late afternoon or early evening. Okay, then!

I got on-sale Arm and Hammer 50-load laundry detergent and store brand garbage bags at Shoppers, and on-sale bulk pads x2 (saving $1 per package) at London Drugs (just missing the 407) before hauling the heavy stuff home at 2:50 on a 401, having to get off one stop earlier because of the road closures and construction! Gotta remind white Eric about that soon... I also found a random Bench / Body men's underwear in her dried laundry. o_O

I also finally deleted all the Video Game Enemies albums on Facebook! I went out at 12:20 on a 414 to do some shopping for on-sale Halloween candy and Advent calendars. I got a fingernail clipper from the pharmacy next door, six NHL 100 Advent calendars (me / Jon / Harmony / Ayler / Hiero / Eric Ho), melatonin x2, an egg salad sandwich for November 3, a 400g box of Waterbridge Connoisseur chocolate brandy beans, and an on-sale 90-count box of fun-size Caramilk / Wunderbar / Crispy Crunch / Mr. Big bars - I got home at 1:20 on a 401, no thanks to construction. Some lady at the bus stop said she loved my ugly Halloween sweater and blue striped hat, saying they were "beautiful" - nice!

After COFFEE TIME, I left for Jon's at 1:40 on a 401. I had their reusable tote bag from Thanksgiving, and their Bobo's Oat Bars x4 (Chocolate Chip / Maple Pecan / Coconut / Lemon Poppyseed) from yesterday. I got there on time (after sitting on some guy's bank statements because he left them on the seat beside him - I WISH I'D BLED ON THEM!), and was able to hang out with Ayler for about half an hour at home by ourselves since Jon had to go somewhere and Harmony had to pick up Hiero at St. Giles preschool. I passed the time by looking at Ayler's school agenda, learning, asking Ayler about the pumpkin patch today, and eating some chocolate while Ayler put together his Canada puzzle quietly.

After we had a very early dinner of Thanksgiving leftovers at 4, Penny the therapist came over at 5. She told both me and Harmony not to react to whatever Ayler was doing "wrong," but REALLY? I got to hang out with Beckett (who was in his bouncer sometimes), and Hiero "told on me" for bouncing the baby in said bouncer - whatever! I was gentler than either of them were when they were trying to "make him feel better"! Beckett held his favorite colorful toy for quite a while, is starting to vocalize, and "screamed" at me excitedly. So cute! I was fine with him on his colorful mat as well when Ayler and Hiero had bathtime. Yes, I laughed when I heard bubbles coming from both ends! Jon says the cleaners are coming over Monday at 10 AM, and Harmony says it'll only be two hours, but that's fine. I thanked her again on my way out!

When I finally left after bathtime and bedtime, I exchanged the Febreze air fresheners (Harvest Pumpkin / Hawaiian Aloha) from yesterday for Febreze fabric deodorizers at the nearby Save-On Foods. Next time, I should just get them from London Drugs since they're cheaper over there by $2! I got the 3 Marine Drive station bus (which only comes once every half hour) with a minute to spare, and finally got home at 9:05 on a 407, which wasn't helped by the fact that the 401 was already at the bus stop! At least I finally had peace and quiet when I got home, but I wondered what was going on with a certain someone. WE WERE HAVING A GOOD FEW DAYS AND CONVERSATION, JIMMY! WHY BLOCK ME FOR NO REASON THIS MORNING?! Lena says that he sounds insane...

After COFFEE TIME and SHOWER TIME, I went out with the barkTHINS snacking dark chocolate with pumpkin seeds at 4:10 to meet Dad at King Edward station so we could get to Jon and Harmony's. If they wanted to invite Randal and his dad (who ended up not coming because he doesn't like meeting strangers...), that was fine. I thought I'd be earlier than needed, so stopped at Marine Drive Station to kill time at T and T. I got some lime Lays chips while I was there! Got to King Edward Station in time, where Dad showed up in their new-to-them car.

Yes, my eye surgery IS important even if I can't see as well out of that eye, thanks very much! We actually got to talk to Steph via FaceTime for a while, too! Ayler and Hiero said hi, made me guess what they did today, pretended their colorful train tracks were Zambonis, asked about eye exams, put way too much cranberry sauce on their turkey, asked if they could have my beer (NO!), and climbed all over me and Randal. I did actually get to see baby Beckett, who is getting started on solids pretty early, but he seems to be okay with it. He smiled at me, and tried taking his colorful toy when (at Jon's direction) I brushed it against his hand. Mom had an unscheduled stop at Foody World (where apples were 28 cents a pound), but I got dinner leftovers (fall salad / turkey / gravy) with random Pocky and three apples when I finally got home at 8:45! I also got my garbage bag full of WASHED JACKETS and WINTER COATS back when the lards gave me a ride home!

After COFFEE TIME, I went out at 6:25 to meet Chrystal at London Drugs at 7; it didn't matter if she was late because I'd technically been late as well, getting to the station at 7:05. After telling her that Original Joe's and Chronic Tacos were both closed, I said we might as well walk along Broadway till we saw something that caught my eye. Yes, I definitely knew she was treating me! I knew there was a Cactus Club around there, and I was correct when we got to Broadway and Ash. We talked about sitting on the patio, her Baja fish tacos (I had one) and my tuna poke bowl, water, her nephew Ethan wanting to hit people thanks to preschool, her baby nephew Benjamin, yesterday's eyeball ultrasound and my parents' idea of an Oakridge "ride," our bad sense of direction, Thanksgiving, my parents' upcoming "Tom and Tom" trip to Minnesota, the Canucks, New Zealand, Australia, Mike T.'s birthday the other day (they all went to eat sushi), their going to SURREY instead of RICHMOND on Sunday (thus how they got lost and went on the wrong exit), the computer / router / computer case stuff on Sunday, my having lamb at Felico's, surprise birthday cards, and therapy.

After dinner, I wanted to also check out the nearby Book Warehouse to get the newest Bathroom Reader #31 if possible since the website said it was in stock, and I did! Uncle John's Actual and Factual Bathroom Reader #31 (Uncle John's Bathroom Reader Annual), baby! I told Chrystal about what had happened last year with the "nearest" post office bullshit before we went our separate ways at the Canada Line station, where I just missed a Brighouse train. At Broadway Station, a businesswoman wanted me to hold the elevator doors for her - instead, she managed to squeeze herself in when the doors were closing. The train wasn't even coming into the station, and the other guy on the elevator seemed to have issues of his own, like wearing sandals outside on a cool evening. Some old guy wanted me to move on the Brighouse bench while I was actively reading - NO, because he could have just walked to the end of the short bench! When I finally got home at 9:30 on a 407, I finally checked my mail to find a funny "Happy Birthday, Tree Killer" birthday card from Steph and Lisa, which included Fraser's and Henry's handprints - NICE! Thank goodness that I had peace and quiet to do what I had to do when I got home!

Yesterday, I got banned from a names Facebook group because I "misgendeered" the newest admin. Not my fault that her name is ASH and she has a female in her display picture; if she wants random people to think that she's a male, that is very misleading! Then I got into it with Natalie (chibi_blackie / missblack / andinclosing), who thinks she "won" by "dragging" / roasting me. Nope! I deleted her comments because she was being condescending and talking down to me. It's almost like she doesn't realize that we're from different generations! I had to block her once she made a proud status about how I was deleting her comments because they made me look bad. Very funny, ha ha ha. At least I don't use slang that's not from my generation, and Lena / Mike T. / Vanessa / Julie supported me!

Yesterday, Frances C. emailed me to say that she couldn't make it to Felico's because of work, which is fine. I went out at 11:45 on a 401 in hopes of finding sweatpants at H and M, which I found within three minutes, even in my size! Then I went to London Drugs to get on-sale Lindt Excellence chocolate as a birthday present for Eric M. (NEW Pink Peppercorn / NEW Madagascar) and some thin non-slip store brand flocked hangers for my winter coats. When I got home at 1 on a 407, I did some laundry to wash my new sweatpants.

Of course I understood, and she can take me out for lunch sometime when she figures out some other stuff. Elizabeth can't make it, either, which is fine too.

I left at 5:15 on a 401 to get Arm and Hammer baking soda and peroxide toothpaste, on-sale store brand Ziploc bags x3, NEW on-sale barkTHINS dark chocolate x3 (Pretzel / Pumpkin Seed / Almond all with sea salt), an on-sale Ragusa Noir dark chocolate and hazelnut bar for Eric M. for his birthday, on-sale Reese mini peanut butter cups, purple MARTEX washcloths x2, and a replacement GIBSON owl coffee mug at London Drugs. I got two new homemade soaps, a brief note thanking me for my online Twitch support, and a Ness from Earthbound perler from Cuya in the mail yesterday - NICE! I discovered SURPRISE REDRUM this morning - UGH! Good thing I already had a pad in from yesterday's crap! So then I had to go to London Drugs AGAIN to get some much-needed bulk pads, which I should have just done yesterday while I was there anyway... sigh.

Then I had to walk to the bank to get a NEW chip-enabled debit card since the magnetic strip didn't work, and then return the Winter Creek oysters at Price Smart since I forgot that I'd banned it because I couldn't open them even with the jar opener! No, I didn't care that they couldn't resell it! The customer service worker was named Gunya - WTF?! I simply got easier-to-open and less expensive on-sale Mac's Oysters as a replacement (no more less expensive Fanny Bay oysters!), while deciding "fuck this lineup at the express lane" and going to self-checkout instead.

While I was there, I went to the liquor store to get NEW limited-edition Innis and Gunn Mangoes on the Run mango IPA / NEW Hires Cream Soda and Vodka / NEW limited-edition Snapple Spiked RaspCherry Tea Vodka. (the sale on the Snapple ends today!) Got home at 11:05 on a 407 to unload and rest a bit before going out again. While I was not feeling too terrible, I went to Richmond Centre at 2:35 on a 401 for some new shorts since an old pair met with a poop accident.

H and M did not have what I was looking for, and neither did Sportscheck with their Underarmour shorts. I went into Champs, where I lucked into a 2 for 1 sale on shorts, so of course I took advantage of it, buying two pairs of CSG Black Advancer shorts for $38.08! Then I remembered to check out Shoppers for a frozen Pad Thai meal, which they had, and it was even on sale for $3! Finally got home at 4:30 on a 401, deciding not to wait for the 407 in the hot weather with the frozen meal. Then I emailed Chinese Eric to see if we could hang out for his birthday on August 15!

I called Chrystal at work at 1:10 yesterday to remind her about last night, being honest about how July 12 (next Thursday) was actually just a consultation and not an actual surgery. "SHE BAMBOOZLED ME! NO!" Hahaha! While power-walking through the building and down the stairs, I saw Mr. Creep on his way up the stairs! UGH! I just managed to get to the C94 bus stop from Brighouse library before the shuttle bus got there! Then I had to wait ten minutes for the next Canada Line train at Brighouse, but managed to see Chrystal at the Broadway London Drugs. We went to Chipotle and talked about baby Beckett (my newest nephew!), my upcoming cataract consultation on Burrard, Emily's new baby Benjamin (Chrystal's newest nephew!), my therapy, my messy steak burrito in a bowl, my walking in on someone in the public washroom because SHE forgot to lock the door, my computer upgrade, her parents sharing a smartphone, my parents being millennial phone zombies in senior citizens' bodies, smartphones, the rain then, and more.

After that, she went to No Frills to meet her dad while I went back to London Drugs to look for gum tubs. I couldn't find them on my own, so had to ask the employees for help. The Dentyne gum was on $2.99 sale this week, so I grabbed a Dentyne Ice Avalanche 60-piece tub, hoping that THIS one wouldn't be soft. (I tested it later at the Canada Line station, and it thankfully was FINE! I lost the Excel gum lottery TWICE IN A ROW!) I also got an on-sale bag of Brookside blackberry and honey chocolates as a thank-you for Eric today if his fix worked. If it didn't, the chocolate was still in my preferred form of bites instead of tablets! Haha! I got home at 9:55 in the pouring rain because I had JUST missed the 401 / 407 buses at Brighouse, forcing me to wait an additional half an hour. After writing some notes to myself, I went to bed at 11.

I got up at 6 AM, decided to get some more rest, and got up for good at 10:45. Then I noticed that Eric had called at 10:25, so I called him back. He'd been out and wanted to see if he could fix my monitor, but he guessed he could go out again. In the 15 minutes available to me, I brushed my teeth / washed my face / took my multivitamin / took my Kraft Dinner White Cheddar macaroni and cheese plus Brookside chocolates out for Macaroni Day and Chocolate Day today / took Eric's Brookside Chocolates out / tidied up my computer desk area. Eric arrived at 11 with an extra BENQ monitor that used to be his dad Ron's, and was able to plug in my current monitor while cleaning it with Windex!

He looked up Electronics Return-It centres, and found that the Blundell one should be open on Saturdays, so took out my two old hard drives and old monitor, and accepted my chocolate as a thank-you while never guessing the CREEP that I saw at the library yesterday. Eric did say that he thought it was the circuits or something from the monitor itself. After a while, I went to Brighouse library on the C94 at 3:20 in order to hopefully get the Facebook status tagging backlog done using their IP address. IT WORKED BEFORE CLOSING TIME AT 5! I was in time for the 4:45 C94 on the way back to Brighouse Station, and was finally home at 5 on a 407.

Edit at 7:30! I finally got Mom on the phone to see if they had a floor lamp while I remembered BEFORE lunch on Monday. She said "of course," and at least clarified what I meant. Yes, one that is on the living room floor, NOT one for the bedroom! (which I wouldn't even call a floor lamp, but anyway...) At least now I can be picked up at 11:30 in the courtyard instead of having to leave 45 minutes early because of bus schedules! She said stuff about a used vacuum cleaner which still works for $10 at the thrift shop, a toaster, my pre-surgery consultation (which I told her FOUR TIMES that I had rescheduled for July 26 - their moving date), Auntie Wing Yee and Uncle Joe moving in with Holly / Peter / Evander / Everett in Steveston, Jon and Harmony maybe needing help on Thursday because the lards will get their Burnaby keys then, and eye care.

Chipotle steak burrito!

60-piece Dentyne Ice Avalanche gum!

From Julie: Travers Mackel?! Reminds me of Kim Traverse from elementary school...

glowing_dragon: (OMFG Yay!)
I did call Chrystal at work yesterday when I got home. We made plans for Friday the 13th, which doesn't bother me. Broadway London Drugs, it is!

Andrew called me at 9, so I was ready for him to bring over my NEWER COMPUTER WITH WINDOWS 7! :D

He came by at 9:45 and spent 20 minutes going over the specifics of the Nvidia computer case / power supply / various components, saying that Teunis is moving to Saskatchewan at the end of the month, telling me about his mom's huge quantities of chili in a Dutch oven, and saying that he was looking forward to a shower after a 14-hour workday. I bet! Thank goodness Chrome synced! Yes, I paid him his $40, and can probably make a $50 payment next time to pay everything off.

Yam Yaryan?!

From Julie M. and JUDGE JUDY: Deneika Reynolds?! I can see Danica or Danika, but WHAT is with that bad spelling?!

After leaving the library yesterday (Sunday), I took the 410 to Staples to buy three boxes of Z-Grip pens, which now look different and have "Advanced Ink Technology." I think the comfy rubber grip is worth it for writing for nine hours in a row, and outweighs the risk of cutting myself on the packaging, which I just discovered that I can cut open! DUH. It's also cheaper by $3 a box!

At home, I gave my neighbor a show yesterday when she and I went to the front door at the same time! My pants were falling down, and I couldn't get them up in time! Then I couldn't salvage them later, anyway! I called Andrew back at 5:10 because he'd called me earlier. Andrew said that download speeds and the power supply had been giving him trouble, so he had to go out and buy a new $50 power supply, but that had been included in our deal, as well as the $35 each he'd have charged me for removing two viruses from my hard drive. I almost laughed at that, but he was being totally serious, with good reason! As agreed, I called him back at 8:15 after I'd finished the pizza leftovers, and he said that he didn't think he could finish it tonight if he had to be in bed by midnight for work today. He also doesn't want to bother people past 10 most of the time, but I remember the one time he'd come by at midnight or so. That had been in the summer, however. He'll work on it when he gets home today from work and then call me in the evening. That sounds reasonable to me! I might buy some index cards today since the price per 100 is slightly more reasonable at London Drugs than Staples, and might call Chrystal tomorrow.

I went out to get my fix of computer time at Brighouse Library on Saturday yesterday, and left the building at 4, but saw the C94 going right past me, so I had to walk from there to Brighouse Station because I forgot about the 410. At least I resigned myself to being late! Ayler and Hiero seemed affectionate with the baby from what I could see. We had pizza for dinner, and I got to take some home!

Discussed Ayler having only four days left of school, my "wrinkly skin," why I was born prematurely, whether I'd held Ayler and Hiero when they were babies (of course!), my holding baby Beckett (who was asleep most of the time), Ayler lying about what I said (chocolate!) when I was RIGHT THERE, Ayler asking Jon's student Pius how much he weighed, Ayler asking Jon about stickers while he was sneezing, my doing some dishes, and Steph not coming to the baby banquet in September. I left at 7:20 and was home at 8:30. Then Andrew called me at 10 to ask for my password because he'd just gotten home from Cultus Lake and assorted things just then, but had started work at 1 AM on Friday. The updates are good!

COFFEE TIME! I finally got a Christmas card from Kitty (bornwitch) in the mail today, so that was good! The Canucks played Columbus at 4 today, and finally won a game in 2018.... JAKE INTO THE EMPTY NET FOR A 5-2 WIN! I plan to shower later, too.

Julie wanted to share an 8Memes video with me in Facebook chat last night. (When you want to sleep, and your brain just goes SWEET DREAMS ARE MADE OF THIS...) When I saw it, the same video was at the top of my Facebook feed! QUIRKY COINCIDENCE! :D

From Julie: Chewin' McGregor!

With Mr. Z's help, the FINAL FANTASY V SPOOF party finally makes it to the Barrier Tower and defeats Yog-Sothoth. In the aftermath, Mr. Z says, "Mr. Z can't die here! Fools will go unpitied and jibba-jabba will go unchallenged!" Definitely a Mr. T persona there!

It's 8:01 PM (20:01 in 24-hour time) on September 11! YAY FOR TIME QUIRKINESS AND COINCIDENCES! :D

From Reddit on June 3, 2016: No, Faith, we do not give our official abusive exes "one last great kiss with tongue" when we're splitting our items post-breakup. You also have a gambling problem ($10,000 in debt to eBay?!) and addiction issues! While those can be fixed / resolved, I hope you never contact your ex again.

From Reddit on July 6, 2017: No, Worried19, cuckolding is not sexist or racist. I'm not a fan of fetishes, but you have some really weird opinions about gender and other things as well, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

"You Enhance Lives"

You're the type of person who likes to work quietly behind the scenes. Very few people notice all that you do.
You love to help, but you aren't looking for credit. You know that you do a lot simply being there for others.

You are steady, dependable, and loyal. You aren't just a rock, though - you also have a good spark that lights up the world.
You bring lightness and depth, optimism, and realism to others' lives. You are often what is missing.

"You Are Birdie"

You are as wise as they come. You have a good deal of life experience, and you've definitely learned from it.
You may be down to earth, but you have a wild past that few know about. And you're happy to keep it that way.

You have a lot of foresight, but you don't go around making predictions. You just let things unfold.
You are steady and encouraging. You are always rooting your friends on from the sidelines.

I got this error message last night: "You have specified a date in the future." No, I haven't. FACEBOOK, GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER!

Matt H. unfriended me or deleted his Facebook account, whichever. I discovered that my new CHAMPION shoes were pretty small when it came to taking them off, so after looking up the return policy up online AND calling the store just in case, it was off to the mall on the C94 at 3:30. Luckily, they let me exchange the shoes (paying a $2.80 "cash difference" fee on shoes that are the SAME PRICE) even though there were light dirt marks on them, so I got men's CHAMPION shoes size 7. Not sure why I didn't realize I was buying kids' shoes yesterday... I got home at 4:10 and made dumplings while reconnecting with Jimmy and Lena via Facebook messenger.

From LADbible: Beard facts! Stroking of beard increases concentration, cognitive ability. Science has shown that beards rarely sleep. Beards are almost completely immune to sarcasm. Quadruples handsomeness. Lets you instinctually know where the nearest mountain is. Fits on your face. Dramatically increases your wood-chopping capabilities. Acts as a homing beacon attracting the jealous and admiration of the beardless. Natural bear-repellant when camping or wandering in the woods. Filters the air of toxins, pollution, and stray food.

Here's a bacon dragon on a coffee mug! It's terrifyingly delicious!

This guy Ashanti Witherspoon named his daughter Bwashena?! GHETTO!

I had to take out ANOTHER dead mouse on a glue trap last night at 10 PM - UGH! Yes, I definitely had to have some whiskey after that!

It's Air Conditioning Day and WORLD OYSTER DAY today, so of course I definitely had to have my two pounds of Fanny Bay raw oysters! :D

The FINAL FANTASY VI: THE ETERNAL CRYSTALS party comes to the last room of Umaro's Cave with the Magitek Armor and this soldier. He turns out to be Biggs from the beginning of the game, and tells them: "I've failed as a soldier..." Time to teleport out of the dungeon, and bring Emperor Zemus with us instead!

Emperor Zemus comes with the FINAL FANTASY VI: THE ETERNAL CRYSTALS party inside Umaro's Cave, and orders Biggs to join them because he was the emperor. This time, Soldier Biggs says: "Lieutenant Biggs... Reporting, sir! Yes, sir... I'll join you!"

From the Save-On Foods Facebook wall: A Save-On Foods store in Winnipeg built this cart corral which only holds two shopping carts! Good job! NOT.

I went out at 1 on a C94 to go to the Brighouse Library mini book sale, which I'd heard about yesterday on Facebook Events, eventually buying Age of Iron (Angus Watson), The City Stained Red (Sam Sykes, who also happens to be Diana Gabaldon's son!), The Dinosaur Lords (Victor Milan), The Awakened Mage (Karen Miller), and The Boleyn Inheritance (Philippa Gregory) - not bad for $2.75! Then I went to KFC at Richmond Centre for two chicken wings because of CHICKEN WING DAY, which proved to be more expensive overall at $5.55 than six pieces for $9. The last stop was Shoppers Drug Mart, where I took advantage of the sale on Ben and Jerry's ice cream: Chocolate Fudge Brownie / NEW Peanut Butter Half-Baked! I got home at 2:10 on a 401 since I didn't want to risk the ice cream melting in the heat, as I'd just missed the 407.

Ben and Jerry's Peanut Butter Half-Baked ice cream!
