Of all the people, Uncle Joe added me to Facebook - HAHAHA! The Canucks played the Flames at 7 tonight, and lost 3-1.

From Julie: Maddelyne?! If I have to write it down to make sure that I spelled it correctly, it’s definitely BAD SPELLING!

Bad and confusing names! )

EDIT: Kate left a post on my Facebook wall asking if I wanted to three-way call with Pothead Mike; OF COURSE I DID! I sent her my number and we were on a roll after that. Mike said it was good to hear my voice, and we talked about Scary Mysteries / Damarys (Mike's impressed with how I'm dealing with it) / the weather where we were / kids swearing / Ed Kemper / Ed Gein / Jackie / 99fruitbat / uploads / the Surrey transit cop shooting / the RCMP tank / how Kate and I did not say "ABOOT." That was pretty good!

I had my cataract eye surgery at Mount St. Joseph's Hospital today. Before Barry picked me up at 9:45, I showered as recommended. We STILL had to wait and he left at 11:35, and I was finally called in at 12:15 or so. It's a strange sensation being wheeled on a hospital bed! The needle went fine, the surgery went well, and I talked to Dr. Wise a bit before and after. Tomorrow at noon sounds very doable especially since Barry will drive me instead of my parents!

Mom and Dad did come to pick me up, but they had to wait. HA HA HA! I got some Olympic plain Greek yogurt x4 which expires on January 21, some Kwong Chow leftovers, some Fit-Overs to borrow, soy sauce octopus, curry chicken, noodles, homemade lemonade, Fuku Superior Soup Noodles x2 which expire on October 5, and a thin green Koret vest. However, I don't NEED to give Barry a thank-you card, or ask about the surgery for the other eye at tomorrow's appointment right away! The Canucks played the Coyotes at 7 tonight, and lost 4-3 in overtime. UGH! Also updated everyone, including Deb. Temporarily wearing glasses over the eye shield so I can post this entry. No pain or nausea!

From Julie: Karson?! BAD SPELLING! Just spell it CARSON!

From Julie: Sherria?!

From Julie: Dynver pronounced as Denver?!

Lucas, Kumatora, Duster, and Boney have made it to Tanetane Island in Chapter 7 of MOTHER 3, and are high on funky mushrooms. Here is fake Alec, fake Mayor Pusher, and a fake truck. "A shiny car. It would be dangerous if it suddenly took off."

I called Chrystal at work at 10:50 AM to confirm for tomorrow night at 7:30 at the Broadway London Drugs, especially since there hasn't been any snow yet! WE ARE SO ON! The Canucks played the Blues at 7 tonight, and won 5-1!

There was a fire alarm at about 1 PM, so I threw away fuzzy socks with holes in them, and got proper woolly socks / a thin toque / a winter coat because I thought it was going to be a false fire alarm as usual. Nope, it was actually the first REAL fire scare since I've lived here in 2000! Some idiot neighbor left a plastic baby bottle on the stove, went out at 11, and stuff started burning at 11:30 or so. WHY WOULD YOU NOT CHECK TO SEE THAT THE STOVE IS OFF BEFORE GOING OUT FOR THE DAY?!

Firemen and police and standing around outside in the cold for three hours before we were allowed back in at 3:55 after the fan and air quality... thank goodness that I am okay, as well as my stuff. I guess I should get that Square One insurance! At least it wasn't six hours, but still... the neighbor got back and saw the aftermath including a busted-out balcony, so I hope she learns!

Mom wanted me to go to the restaurant for Jon's birthday dinner at Kingsway and Joyce by myself, spend the night at their place, and then they'd take me home tomorrow. FUCK THAT SHIT is what I say! Today is National Toilet Paper Day!

Eric M. emailed me to say that he can drive me to Beckett's baby banquet at Golden Spring - PHEW! All I gotta do is buy him some chocolate, which I was going to do anyhow for his birthday.

From Julie: Frank is fine, but Tereasa?! That’s not how you spell Teresa! BAD SPELLING! Makes me want to pronounce it “tear assa,” really...

glowing_dragon: (Happy Birthday!)
Today is Humility Day! I emailed Kevin to wish him a happy birthday, and he replied to thank me. Good thing that Hotmail didn't screen my email this time, and of course I'll remind him about my Felico's birthday dinner closer to the date! Then I got another email saying that Christon is now engaged to Alice - okay then, people!

From Julie: Melvin is fine, but Laquita?! Makes me think of a mosquito or the Chiquita banana!

From Julie: Tyler and Tyla should NOT be twin names, ever!

glowing_dragon: (Happy Birthday!)
It's WORLD MUSHROOM DAY today! :D

From Julie: Angelia?! Just ONE MORE LETTER to make it Angelica! SO CLOSE, yet so far! It also reminds me of East Anglia...

glowing_dragon: (Bubble Tea)
Today is Left-Handers Day! Andrew M. came by after work (not tied up in Coquitlam) to pick up his final $50 payment of $300 for the computer payment schedule started in May, and the computer work done in late June. What a time these past three months have been, especially with Jimmy and everything! Andrew also had that computer chair which he mentioned on July 11, so that's good. He came by at 10:25 to pick up the $50 and drop off the muted pink computer chair with wheels and tilting action - yup, the grease spot was prominent, but it wasn't terrible. All I gotta do is clean it: rub Palmolive on the washcloth and make sure just to blot it and not spread it all over.

Edit at 11:30 -- I rubbed it out before bed (hehehe), and it seemed to clean out okay with the Palmolive Original.

From Julie: Chassity?! What was wrong with CHASTITY!? Reminds me of a car chassis or something. BAD SPELLING!

From Julie: Atlas?!

glowing_dragon: (Crazy-Eyed Bear)
After SHOWER TIME and COFFEE TIME, I left at 5 in the 30 degree C weather (30°C!) to catch the C94 for my rescheduled 5:30 appointment with Rachel at The Caring Place. At least I'm getting my hilarious humor back, as was demonstrated during said appointment! ("For my next trick, I'll strip down and dance on the balcony! You'll phone PSYCH and tell them you have an incoming patient, hahaha!") Later, I walked home through Minoru Park and immediately cooled down and started ROIMU when I got in at 6:50. (the first post-Jimmy ROIMU session!)

I heard that the annoying 16-year-old Luna FINALLY left the r/hockey Discord server: THANK GOODNESS! Nobody cares about the Capitals' personal Instagram posts! She said that she was basically told to kill herself. It turns out that someone was JOKING about euthanizing her, which is totally different!

From Julie: Stacey is fine, but Fancy is not a human name!

glowing_dragon: (OMFG Yay!)
Jon dropped off his and Harmony's "old" HP printer at my place at 8:45 this morning since he had to drop the lards off at the airport at 8:30, anyway. He looked at the high amount of dust underneath the computer desk, looked in my fridge, wondered what all those cans were on the floor, and definitely noticed the "museum of noodles" on the couch. His explanation of my needing to practice made sense to me when it came to plugging the square plug into the printer itself.

Random stuff from Mom and Dad: Another silver water mug, 20mL Crest Complete toothpaste with Scope x2 (which expires in May 2019 and can't be opened anyway...), and Carnaby cinnamon hearts which expired on December 17, 2014!

From Julie: Detron?!

From Julie: Tarnisha?! How do you not see TARNISH right there in the name?!

glowing_dragon: (French Toast)
Benny N. added me to Facebook - NICE! I also did some drunken laundry today.

I relate to Ozzy Osbourne so much. Panel 1: "What the fuck am I talking about." Panel 2: "I don't know what planet I'm on." Panel 3: "What's going on here? Who? What? Who's this? What?" Panel 4: *phone ringing* "What the fuck is that?" THE OSBOURNES!

The retina specialist's office called me at 3:30 to say that they'd scheduled a cataract surgery consultation appointment for me, on July 12 at 9:30 AM, which is a Thursday. Since I realized that would be the day before my planned dinner with Chrystal, I attempted to call her at work to reschedule, but I got voicemail. I just tried ten minutes later, and got her on the phone. Without any preamble, I told her why I was calling. We eventually rescheduled for July 6, which is good.

Random stuff from Mom and Dad: Two Superstore paper towel rolls, six Purex double rolls of toilet paper, a black Privilegio long winter coat from Big G, two generic tiny soap bars, a Los Angeles Kings thick blanket, a pair of black sandal things (not "slippers," Mom!) to replace my current ones, one pair of black socks, a dark purple Reitmans top (the button at the back is IMPOSSIBLE!), and a Disney XXL Mickey Mouse T-shirt.

Green and pink brown moose socks, generic white socks, a turquoise Dressbarn light jacket, a very flowery dress with shoulder pads, purple "XXL" pants, a dark red airy jacket, a silver hot water bottle, a dark purple Picadilly Fashions jacket, a blue and brown Van Heusen dress shirt, a black button-up light jacket, and a grey Intimate Details housecoat from Big G.

I had COFFEE TIME, showered, and did laundry before leaving at 2:30 to see Rachel at The Caring Place. Also had to field a reminder phone call from Uncle Andrew's office (which I guess is now Sean's) about tomorrow's dentist appointment. They wanted me to come in at 3:30 instead of 4 - I guess so...

Went to London Drugs for more on-sale Scotties Kleenex (6x140 EnviroCare this time), chocolate Oreo Thins cookies / vanilla Oreo Thins cookies for Eat An Oreo Day today, and a small (more portable) Rubbermaid 37L storage box for my room. Thanks to a 407 which waited for me, I was home at 4 instead of a later time. After sending me a message earlier, Andrew M. called at 5:50 to wonder whether this weekend would be a good time for the new computer, and warned me that I'd be without the machine from sometime on Friday to sometime on Sunday. Discussed Cultus Lake, $40 cash money, going to the States for cheaper gas every couple of weeks, birthdays, having a life, seeing his girls, and more. This weekend should definitely be fine, I told him.

I showered and did emergency laundry because of a chili oil stain on my light blue Toronto shirt today, but it didn't wash out! UGH! At least I didn't buy the shirt, so I was fine with putting it in the laundry room garbage can since I was there anyhow.

I left at 10:30 on a 407 for Shoppers Drug Mart to get NESTEA iced tea, President's Choice Chicken Korma / General Tao / Butter Chicken microwaveable meals, and on-sale Campbell's mushroom soup x2. Got home at 10:55 on a 401: that bus efficiency is good for ANY day, never mind a Saturday! :D

From Julie: How did RAEGON (BAD SPELLING!) have a daughter named MAYA?!

glowing_dragon: (No Netspeak!)
After COFFEE TIME, I left for FYI Doctors at 2:10 in the rain. The 407 bus had to load a wheelchair, which didn't help! As for my appointments and tests, it took TWO HOURS for the testing and looking at the glasses! Summary of eye exam: "Try to look elsewhere while we put this bright light RIGHT in front of your face!" Later, I went to London Drugs to buy letter and number stickers for me and Fraser / on-sale Jack Link's Peppered Beef Jerky for Jerky Day / on-sale Bucha kombucha tea (Blood Orange and Guava Mango) before going home at 5:05 on another 407. Also, Josephine Uy - who looks worse and more bent over than the last time I saw her - recognized me at London Drugs.

I went to the pharmacy next door at 1:50 to refill my prescription early; yes, even Adam commented on it! I'll have to go back next week to get another box that's not dangerously close to expiry at the end of June! Then I got the C94 shuttle bus for my first counselling appointment with Rachel at The Caring Place near Brighouse Park: containers and tools, oh my. I walked to the Dining Terrace food court in Richmond Centre, opting for beef brisket / mixed vegetables / chow mein / Kung Pao chicken from Kung Pao Wok, then got Salsitas chips for the prospective hockey playoffs hangout / dark red handtowels x4 / Speed Stick Ocean Surf deodorant at London Drugs before getting home at 4:20 on a 407. Now, back to mindless tagging work!

Dr. Megha Panda?!

From Julie: Cerinity? BAD SPELLING! It should be Serenity, if anything! Plus DEPAUL?!

From Julie: An adult Depaul, who thinks that a baby having 12 fingers is proof that the child isn't his. That's called an anomaly, and you're uneducated!

From Julie: Lameshia?! I see "Lame" in there! Even if it's not going to be pronounced that way, shouldn't that automatically disqualify the name from your baby name list?!

Chinese Eric emailed me, white Eric, Jeremy, Jon, Christon, and Randal this morning about a Stanley Cup Final hangout somewhere - Washington Capitals and Las Vegas Golden Knights! I scanned the email (which had possible scheduling), but didn't see where the hangout was going to be, so of course I emailed everyone to ask where it was. Chinese Eric actually was on the ball with his email and replied to say that it was going to be at Jeremy's place. ("it has been brought to my attention," indeed) Well, I'm not giving up my Mike's Hard Root Beer for this one, so I'll just buy snacks later on in the week. Easy!
