Tatiana's Wanderings

After COFFEE TIME, a German Shaw technician came by at 11:35 AM with a replacement cable box / new PVR box / new remote control / new modem / advice. (calling my HOME number 15 minutes beforehand to see whether I was home... WHAT DO YOU THINK?!) When he left at 12:15 after also setting up my wi-fi network on my cellphone, I took a much-needed shower and did some much-needed laundry!

In the evening, Dylan came by at 6:55 PM to help me buy a new microwave at London Drugs. He did call me first at 6:25 to advise me that he was at Walmart doing some stuff, then would come by here. We talked about his Great Value red curry chips, Declan and Elysse's swimming lessons, NOT defrosting meat in the microwave because it won't cook evenly and will be all frozen in the middle ("SEE?! NO ONE BELIEVES ME!"), his stressful day at work, parking, and the heavy bulky stuff. Came back home at 7:30 after I selected a new black RCA 1.1 cubic foot microwave oven for $99.99 plus tax (so about $117.60) - yes, that was definitely going on my savings account! Good thing I checked my bank balances BEFORE going out - that Panasonic inverter microwave from Robert was at least twice the price from Robert. I know why Mike insisted on it - because of his own image problems!

Then I heard that the St. Louis Blues had won the 2019 Stanley Cup against the nasty Bruins! Makes me feel better about 2011, for sure! I told Paulo to bookmark these microwave oven cooking conversion charts as well. He was at the gym, but came by at 9:35 to pick up the Danby Designers 700-watt microwave. Yes, having a free backup is nice, but I like to pay favors forward when I can. It just rarely happens in two and a half hours! Like I had thanked Dylan, Paulo thanked me - it's a cycle! :D

* Finally got a CHIMO / Family Services phone intake done with Jocelyn, then finally finished JONBOUND. [Jan. 6]

* I created a Discord account for whatever reason, probably to talk to Lucas and his weird friends, plus Kramer and his Twitch stream friends. [Jan. 7]

* Finished replaying HALLOW'S END on Turbo Mode. [Jan. 11]

* Unfortunately, I had to get the passport stuff done with my parents. [Jan. 12]

* Visited Vanessa in the hospital after her surgery. [Jan. 13]

* Hiero's third birthday party! Ayler told me that he needed to take more nachos. Sure, why not? [Jan. 22]

* I got my ten-year passport through registered mail! [Jan. 25]

* Finally finished the very difficult MOTHER 2 DELUXE, and started FINAL FANTASY VI: ETERNAL CRYSTALS. [Jan. 28]

After COFFEE TIME, I left at 4:40 so I could meet baby Henry for the first time at Wo's Restaurant at 5:30. I had the Advent calendars for Steph and Lisa, plus the Festive Friends cookies for Fraser. As I thought, I was late, but I'd planned it that way. I said hi to everyone, and noticed Fraser's shirt: "My aunt is cooler than yours!" Baby Henry wanted to focus on the hockey game on TV, but held my finger and stuck out his tongue while making baby noises at me. While having pork, chicken, chicken corn soup, broccoli, carrots, other vegetables, tea, rice, yee mein, and more, Fraser let me check out his toy airplane and told me about the bus trip to the airport this morning and the plane ride later. He'd also danced at Grandma Sandy's birthday party last weekend, which sounds like fun! Everyone else talked about winter clothing, Jon having gout (?!), Mr. Weatherbee in the ARCHIE comics, Ayler and Hiero learning to swear from school, Christon / Eric M. / Eddie / Eunice / Auntie Catherine / Auntie Christine / Uncle Reuben / Uncle Percy being 100 / Uncle Eric / Auntie Eva / Auntie Evie / Auntie Eileen, plans for next week, Victoria, Melia, Melissa, milk, Shoppers Drug Mart (Fraser likes shopping!), and more. Fraser even gave me a hug and kiss when we were leaving! Mom and Dad dropped me off at 7:10, which is fine by me.
