THE 2019-2020 NHL SCHEDULE IS OUT TODAY! I came across a problem with my HP Laserjet 1020 printer today while printing out the Canucks schedule and generating more "origami paper" for Hiero. It said there was a paper jam, but it had been printing things out just fine a few seconds beforehand! After Googling it and attempting to fix it myself via a Youtube video, I texted white Eric about the issue after a phone call got no answer. (which is totally fine)

Left my phone on and he called me at 7:05 to figure out the problem more in depth, so I showered immediately afterwards. He came by at 7:40 to figure out the bigass cartridge, and show me what to do. Turns out I have to tilt the mustache on it at a certain downwards angle, which I attempted myself. He left five minutes later - then Jon emailed a bunch of us about Randal's upcoming birthday: Lion's Den at Fraser and Kingsway, then maybe 12 Kings or Bells and Whistles (17th and Kingsway) for drinks afterwards. Randal wants me there? Okay, then... nice!

COFFEE TIME! The Canucks played the Canadiens at 4:30 today, and lost 2-0. UGH!


Lucas, Kumatora, Duster, and Boney have defeated New Fassad in the Saturn Valley volcano in Chapter 7 of MOTHER 3. BEFORE checking the pile of rubble at the exit of Saturn Valley, they go into the house with the totem pole. They talk to the Mr. Saturn in front of the totem pole. "Sprinkle water on floor?"




Lucas, Kumatora, Duster, and Boney have defeated Master Eddy in Chapter 7 of MOTHER 3. They've landed on Tanetane Island, SAVED THE GAME [IMPORTANT before fighting the Zombieshroom!], and want to go back in the ocean. "Going back into the ocean would be even MORE dangerous." Oh yeah, because they don't have any items and have 1 HP and 0 PP each! Time to get high on some funky mushrooms!

JANUARY

* Finally got a CHIMO / Family Services phone intake done with Jocelyn, then finally finished JONBOUND. [Jan. 6]

* I created a Discord account for whatever reason, probably to talk to Lucas and his weird friends, plus Kramer and his Twitch stream friends. [Jan. 7]

* Finished replaying HALLOW'S END on Turbo Mode. [Jan. 11]

* Unfortunately, I had to get the passport stuff done with my parents. [Jan. 12]

* Visited Vanessa in the hospital after her surgery. [Jan. 13]

* Hiero's third birthday party! Ayler told me that he needed to take more nachos. Sure, why not? [Jan. 22]

* I got my ten-year passport through registered mail! [Jan. 25]

* Finally finished the very difficult MOTHER 2 DELUXE, and started FINAL FANTASY VI: ETERNAL CRYSTALS. [Jan. 28]

Eric Ho called me at 5:35 to say that he was heading down to Richmond, and alerted me to the fact that Nathan was back in town recently, so of course I checked out Nathan's Facebook page! It's true: Daniel is now a Doctor! Also, their mom Auntie Lillian is going to have a small park at Yukon and 17th named after her soon! He got here at 6:10, and I had the parking pass ready, of course! Then he said that he was in his neighborhood, and bumped into Mike. Eric actually deliberately waved him down to talk to him even though he doesn't like Mike much: apparently, Mike's gone on fewer cross-border trips, but I think that's because Hagen's had reduced their requirements for picking up packages from every two weeks to a month. Anyway, Eric had apparently told Mike that "Leslie and I have fun when we hang out and it's not so empty." I had to get him to translate this, which apparently meant that there wasn't a feeling of missing the other person! (and to see if he missed stuff like that, too) At least Mike apparently got the message since he went quiet afterwards, and Eric mentioned now that Mike wasn't his cup of tea, either - JUST LIKE BILLIE DID! Of course, I had seemed happy to him back in 2013 and 2014...

We also talked about his new glasses (the other pair broke), my good eye for noticing that, future hangouts, wanting to extend me the courtesy of a heads-up, the Creamsicle ice cream, LeBron James and his dynasty, Sidney Crosby compared to Alexander Ovechkin, his not liking Richmond drivers, Nick Bonino, EA Sports and playing past players vs. modern players, a future road trip, Michael Jordan, a zero-zero tie (0-0 tie) till very late in the game, and Shania Twain being on TV at the game in Nashville before he finally left at 8:05. Yes, we ate McDonalds fries / sour cream and onion Pringles chips / Efruti gummy candy / wasabi Pringles chips / Creamsicle ice cream / Kettle chips in Moscow Mule flavor / Lays sour cream and sriracha chips. Now I'm going to relax with video game music for the rest of the night because having someone talk at me for three hours is pretty draining!
