Eric Ho emailed me this morning to say that he wishes he could make it to the MEGA SUSHI dinner, but they've scheduled him to work a Monet art exhibit at the VAG (art gallery), so he proposed that we hang out here instead for the Canucks regular season opener on Saturday, October 7. Sounds fine to me! I also blocked a stupid idiot who thought that disrespecting my "DO NOT COMMENT" boundaries was FUNNY. Time for some Chicken Alfredo as revenge since that's his name!

The SUPER MARIO FANTASY ADVENTURE party (Mario / Luigi / Yoshi / Toad) finally makes it to Onrac. This woman tells them. "You have legs!"

In SUPER MARIO FANTASY ADVENTURE, Mario / Luigi / Yoshi / Toad go to the Flying Fortress. They obtain the Adamantite: "The legendary metal."

In SUPER MARIO FANTASY ADVENTURE, Mario / Luigi / Yoshi / Toad finally make it to the final dungeon, the Chaos Temple 2000 years in the past. They use the Whistle from Princess Toadette. "The tune plays, revealing a stairway."

From Julie: Thor! Hipsthor!

Today is Humility Day! I sent Kevin an email earlier to wish him a happy birthday, OF COURSE!

From Not Always Right: Chelsea Gravil?! Reminds me of Gravol, hahaha!

Apparently, Chelsea Gravil is in a relationship with someone named Michaila Eshelman. That's not how you spell MICHAELA!

From Not Always Right: Alison Steiner?! Reminds me of Adelbert Steiner from FINAL FANTASY 9...

From Baby's Named A Bad Bad Thing: Andrewina McCubbin?! Does Andrew REALLY need a feminine form?!

From Not Always Right: Josh Dull?! I hope he doesn't live up to his last name...

My Internet connection seemed really spotty today, so I had to call up Shaw at 4:10 when my phone lines actually worked and investigate. I got an older lady named Joan in Nanaimo who ran me through a speed test, and said that my upload / download speeds were actually pretty good. Luckily, it seemed to work okay after the phone call - PHEW!

In SUPER MARIO FANTASY ADVENTURE, Mario / Luigi / Yoshi / Toad are exploring Musha. This guy says, "Hey, Mario people, how did you COME THERE? Where WERE YOU?" What the heck?! Is this Engrish?!

In SUPER MARIO FANTASY ADVENTURE, Mario / Luigi / Yoshi / Toad go into Musha Castle. This guard tells them: "Bowser is responsible OF all the bad things again!" More bad English! Ugh!

In SUPER MARIO FANTASY ADVENTURE, Mario / Luigi / Yoshi / Toad go into the Chaos Shrine. They see this treasure chest which is like the question mark blocks in the original MARIO game - quirky!

I went out at 1 on a C94 to go to the Brighouse Library mini book sale, which I'd heard about yesterday on Facebook Events, eventually buying Age of Iron (Angus Watson), The City Stained Red (Sam Sykes, who also happens to be Diana Gabaldon's son!), The Dinosaur Lords (Victor Milan), The Awakened Mage (Karen Miller), and The Boleyn Inheritance (Philippa Gregory) - not bad for $2.75! Then I went to KFC at Richmond Centre for two chicken wings because of CHICKEN WING DAY, which proved to be more expensive overall at $5.55 than six pieces for $9. The last stop was Shoppers Drug Mart, where I took advantage of the sale on Ben and Jerry's ice cream: Chocolate Fudge Brownie / NEW Peanut Butter Half-Baked! I got home at 2:10 on a 401 since I didn't want to risk the ice cream melting in the heat, as I'd just missed the 407.

Ben and Jerry's Peanut Butter Half-Baked ice cream!

From Krista: A golden dragon fighting with ice breath!

From Dragons: An awesome and pretty dragon mug!

From Not Always Right: Rebecca Groat?! Reminds me of the food item...

From Not Always Learning: Revie Ishai?!

From Not Always Right: Rob Tonka?! Reminds me of toy Tonka trucks! He even has a Tonka hat!

I discovered that Michael Paul Marcus McKinney unfriended me, but that's okay!

In SUPER MARIO FANTASY ADVENTURE, Mario / Luigi / Yoshi / Toad check out the Charm Song that they got from Lufenia. "Stamped on the bottom... MADE IN LEFEIN."

My ex-friend Michael Paul Marcus McKinney, whom I remember meeting via Scrabulous in 2008!

From my ex-friend Michael Paul Marcus McKinney: Here's an alien (possibly a Reticulian) saying, "Psst... don't tell anyone that we are coming to earth in 2017."

I decided to call my worker Barry at 10:50 to finally let him know about last week's events: Hester actually believing me with proof about the freezer not working. I swear, the ice cream was pretty bleh! Then the apartment building manager Hester, her husband Ni, and the maintenance repair guy came around at 1:30 to check out my fridge and freezer. The official diagnosis is that I need a new fridge and freezer combo because my current one is from the 1980s, and the maintenance guy isn't going to repair THAT! Thank goodness that Hester heard that straight from the repair guy's mouth, as she will now let her office know about things, so I'll see what happens with this. She also told me not to buy anything that needed to be frozen until after I heard what her office had to say and got a new fridge and freezer: DUH?!

In SUPER MARIO FANTASY ADVENTURE, Mario / Luigi / Yoshi / Toad go into the Earth Cavern to defeat Wario and get the Ruby. "There is a stone plate on the floor... You sense something... Evil? ..."

Ruby: A large red stone.

Later, the SUPER MARIO FANTASY ADVENTURE party goes into the Giant's Cave to give the Ruby to this stone monster. "If you want pass, give me the RUBY... Crunch, crunch, crunch... Mmm, it tastes so sweet. Rubies are my favorite."

Rod: The ROD to remove the plate from the earth. (the SUPER MARIO FANTASY ADVENTURE party got this from the Sage's Cave)

The SUPER MARIO FANTASY ADVENTURE party gets the Oxyale from the formerly-Bottled Faerie once they let her go when they reach the town of Gaia. "The OXYALE furnishes fresh air." This lets the party breathe underwater in the Sunken Shrine dungeon in Onrac.

The SUPER MARIO FANTASY ADVENTURE party goes to the Sunken Shine dungeon, and gets the Slab. "Unknown symbols cover the SLAB."

Since I was up at 8 AM, it was COFFEE TIME BY DEFAULT. I then had to change some passwords, just in case! I forgot that the LJ password change would affect Semagic and crossposting to Dreamwidth, oops!

From Krista and Fantasy Art Addiction: An amazing dragon bench made by Igor Loskutow!

From my ex-friend Lucas and Discord: A grey dragon with his hoard of pastries!

From Dragons: An awesome dragon mug!

glowing_dragon: (Cherry Cheesecake or Pie)
Hester came by at 4:20 to check the freezer. As I thought, the dumplings did not freeze overnight! Thank goodness I kept that old bag for proof, as she'll NOW call maintenance after the long weekend. I guess I can call Barry on Tuesday, then.

From Janina: Christian Grey from FIFTY SHADES OF GREY says, "I'm Mr. Grey, and I can bring all your sexual fantasies to life." Dr. Frank N Furter from the ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW says, "Bitch, please."

From Julie S. and Snapchat: The Good Guys classic burger contains ANUS beef?! Then there's a CHICKEN POX pie?!

glowing_dragon: (Default)
From Janina: The Banana Splits are still a better band than One Direction!

From Julie S. and Snapchat: Spic-fried meats?! Also, chips (fries) are not sheeps!

Relm in Mysidia, on Sabin: "What? Who is this puffed-up aerobics instructor, anyway?"

The SUPER MARIO FANTASY ADVENTURE party (Mario / Luigi / Yoshi / Toad) is finally able to fly into Gaia, where they come across this backwards-talking broom! "Do you have great Power?" it asks them in backwards speak.

The SUPER MARIO FANTASY ADVENTURE party (Mario / Luigi / Yoshi / Toad) is finally able to fly into Gaia, where they come across this backwards-talking broom! This lady nearby says, "What's that broom up to? It's talking backwards!"

The SUPER MARIO FANTASY ADVENTURE party (Mario / Luigi / Yoshi / Toad) finally gets to the Caravan and gets the Bottled Fairy, as seen in their Items.

The SUPER MARIO FANTASY ADVENTURE party (Mario / Luigi / Yoshi / Toad) uses the Bottled Fairy in the Caravan before they get to Gaia, where she is supposed to fly away. Thank goodness that save states are a thing in JNES 1.1! "Pop! A fairy appears, then is gone."

glowing_dragon: (OMFG Yay!)
THIS ENTRY IS ALLOWED TO HAVE NON-ALIGNED TAGS.

These are all the enemies I could find in SUPER MARIO FANTASY ADVENTURE.

I used this walkthrough as a guide. Thanks, BSulphur!

This walkthrough helped me through the game; thanks, KeyBlade999!

Use the lute in the Temple of Chaos by facing the stone slab and pressing A.

This is for [livejournal.com profile] rogermellie, who wanted to know what my loves and passions in life were.

This is also for [livejournal.com profile] p1r4t3_k1ng, who wanted to know what was cool about me. (or not, depending on my outlook) They also have a last name in common: ANDERSON. :D

Here's a short list:

I'm a bit interested in twins (and other multiples; triplets, quadruplets, quintuplets, sextuplets, etc.), babies and kids (I like them to a certain extent, but am a long way from having them right at the moment), reading, humor, true crime, comics.. the list could go on and on.

What I do for fun: reading, going to bookstores and the library, hanging out with friends, eating out with them, keeping in touch with people, listening to music, going to my friends' houses, looking after little kids, sometimes going places by myself, parties at friends' houses, etc.

Foods I like: some Chinese food (hot and sour soup, noodles, curry, wonton soup, etc.), pizza, pasta, chicken, sushi, turkey, Pho noodles, steak, etc.

Music I like: classic rock, some current rock, some pop (no BSB-type stuff for me)... that's about it, though I can stand most other types... even my brother's weird mix tapes of Monster Magnet, Frank Zappa, Captain Beefheart, and Mercury Rev. Some other groups I like include (but are not limited to): Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Everclear, Matthew Good Band, Our Lady Peace, Led Zeppelin, New Order, the Doors, Big Sugar, Creed, Nickelback, Collective Soul, the Police, etc.

Stuff I like to read: humorous stuff, some (auto-)biographies, Guinness World Records stuff (that Primetime TV show is cool), the Outlander series, Bathroom Readers, true crime, trivia, some fiction (and some non-fiction as well), comic strips, stuff about music... guess it all depends on what I feel like reading!

Any more questions? You can ask me in here if you want.. or email me. (that is, if you even know my current email address.. MWAHAHAHAHA)

Oh, and YES.. if you've heard all those rumors, they're true. I am indeed the birthday queen, and I have amazing birthday prowess. (according to my friends Jason and Keith)

I'm an introvert, so I need my time alone to recharge. I also have a mild form of cerebral palsy, which causes me to limp. I am also on disability because of mild depression.

I like reading, listening to music, watching Youtube videos, and video games. I like humorous stuff, Diana Gabaldon books, Bathroom Readers, Ripley's Believe It Or Not, and am getting into random fantasy novels. (I enjoyed Jack Whyte's UTHER) I also like true crime, trivia, some fiction (and some non-fiction as well), comic strips, stuff about music... guess it all depends on what I feel like reading!

Music: I enjoy video game soundtracks, Children of Bodom, Cradle of Filth, Ministry, GWAR, Our Lady Peace, Matthew Good, classic rock, some current rock, some pop (no BSB-type stuff for me)... no rap or country, though. I also like Monster Magnet, Frank Zappa, Captain Beefheart, and Mercury Rev. Some other groups I like include (but are not limited to): Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Everclear, Led Zeppelin, New Order, the Doors, Big Sugar, Collective Soul, the Police, etc.

TV shows: I admit to only being a random TV watcher, as the Internet is a vast time-suck. I did enjoy random episodes of SOUTH PARK and KING OF THE HILL. It doesn't matter to me whether you watch TV when I'm around. However, I do like Canucks hockey, and can usually be found listening to the radio or watching TV when a game is on!

Video games: I have played a few of the classic ones only. For some reason, I can't get into contemporary video games. I've played DRAGON WARRIOR 1-4, DRAGON QUEST 5 and 6, EARTHBOUND, the MOTHER series, LUFIA AND THE FORTRESS OF DOOM, and FINAL FANTASY 1 / 2 / 4-6.

Foods I like: some Chinese food (hot and sour soup, noodles, curry, wonton soup, etc.), pizza, pasta, chicken, sushi, turkey, Pho noodles, steak, etc.

I'm looking for a chill, empathetic, understanding, and calm person who is low-maintenance, yet is willing to work on a relationship seriously. I enjoy just hanging around the house once we get to know each other well enough. You should also use correct spelling and grammar in your messages. I prefer text over phone calls, at least initially. If you get to know me, I am a quirky person with her own eccentricities!
