It's MARIO DAY today! After COFFEE TIME, I went out at 3:10 on a 401 to help with the kids. Surprisingly, I just managed to get the 3 despite the elevator buttons not responding to my commands. I got to the house at 4:10 despite an electric scooter not knowing how to maneuver smoothly on the bus (I had to move), but those things can be unwieldy! Thank GOODNESS it stayed on the bus AFTER 16th, so I wasn't delayed any more! Once I got in, Beckett wanted to play with me, but my washing hands coincided with his diaper change. After that, we played with blocks / magnets / balls ("boh-boh!") / Play-Doh. He ALMOST licked the Play-Doh lids, looking at me to see how I'd react. I said that was gross and not to do it. He said "come up / yeah / block / ma-net / open! close! / lid / pease / light / purple / Auntie" a lot. Later, he almost fell down, but I was there to catch him and put him on the couch, where we sat together and "talked" about the "funny" blanket and the happy / sad eggs.

When Ayler told me to guess what time he went to bed last night, I actually got the right time: 10 PM! Apparently, there was a choir concert last night at St. James (Jon's old orchestra hangout space), WITH a rehearsal before AND a mass choral recital afterwards, so nobody could leave early even if they wanted to! I realized that they had scheduled it for the day after Daylight Savings, which is NOT GOOD! Hiero spent his time making Superman signals and wanting Popsicle sticks and special paper. He also was less than polite when he laughed at people. Apparently, roasted broccoli is not his thing!

Beckett wanted me to look out the window at the alley because of the lights - good choice! Hiero wanted me to play a game, but I wasn't up for that. There was a felt book with multiple felt pieces, and Beckett identified an X for Tic-Tac-Toe correctly some of the time. He also knew what the moon was, so he's getting smarter! I told him what a flower was when he identified it as a boh-boh (hahaha), and he picked it up from me. When I took my phone out to take photos that were CLEARLY of the food and NOT THE KIDS, Beckett said "gung-gung"... hahaha, I thought he associated the phone with Uncle Joe last week!

Ayler said that their trip is after Tuesday next week, so I said that I know that they get to listen to TICKET TO RIDE on the ride over. "How do you know?" was easily answered since I saw Jon's Facebook status earlier about borrowing someone's copy. Hiero told us about MINECRAFT, but Harmony wondered where he learned about that. The school computers offer that as an option for ALL the kids, apparently, so Harmony says she'll talk to the teacher about that. I did not volunteer that there was Preschool MINECRAFT - she'd be horrified! I left at 7:30 and surprisingly got home at 8:35, despite the stroller at 16th! If you can't be ready when the bus stops, then don't be surprised if a passenger gets on before you maneuver your stuff off the bus! I know it's safer to wait till the bus stops, but come on now - be aware and at least make your way toward the door!

After DOUBLE COFFEE TIME, I went out at 6:55 on a 401 to meet Chrystal at the Broadway London Drugs. Good thing I left early since the next Waterfront train was out of service at what HAD BEEN a surprisingly empty Brighouse Station! There was some guy clapping like a seal on the bus and at the station - thank goodness he wasn't in my train car! I got to London Drugs at 7:30, and was happy that there was no lineup at the post office so I could mail Corey and Julie's cards. However, I got a postal worker who was grumpy as fuck: I have NEVER been told that I shouldn't write anything in the corner of the envelope, otherwise the stamp would obscure the destination address! Fuck you, random guy!

Chrystal and I went to Pho Extreme Xe Lua: #17 and #1 it was! SPECIAL! We talked about her nephews Ethan (4) and Ethan (1 and a bit), Ayler, Hiero, Beckett discovering new words and the door, Beckett being "smart" by banging his head on the hardwood floor to delay Harmony's leaving for a school meeting, Beckett being really smart by putting all his molecule balls on the far windowsill so he can play with those and look at the reflected lights across the street at the same time (I left him to do that for a minute - he's fine and preoccupied), my broken suitcase, my replacement suitcase, my upcoming trip, and her just doing family things at home this holiday season. Angus and Melia and Phil and Grace have their own families now, and it would be pretty huge to have a family gathering! I got home at 9:05 on a 407, which is pretty good for leaving at 8:30. (Chrystal bused home again!)

Successfully packed replacement carry-on American Tourister suitcase with enough room for ALL my stuff, a working zipper, and a much simpler non-push handle! Way easier to maneuver on transit, too! My parents should have just lent me this one in the first place, then I wouldn't have had to store the first one in a weird way so I wouldn't have had to push the handle down every time I wanted to access it. *rolleyes*

DOUBLE COFFEE TIME! Waiting for Auntie Bessy at Kam Do Bakery this morning proved to be a waste of 40 minutes all told. Good thing I just managed to get the 401 on the way there and the 407 on the way back, getting home at 9:40 AM when I'd left at 8:50 AM! Ugh! The Canucks played Winnipeg today at 5, and lost 4-1... ANOTHER EMPTY-NET GOAL?!

I then left at 7:40 to go to the IGA at Garden City Centre at Blundell, but first encountered a lady at the bus stop who somehow just could NOT wait ten minutes for a cigarette! She scrutinized the bus schedule and knew that the 401 would come in four minutes, so what did she do? Why, sat down on the bench and lit up a smoke, of course! Karma came for her in the form of a 401, so she had to butt it out on the bench before she got on the bus and then had a major coughing fit before she and a male companion got off at Minoru, presumably to smoke prior to whatever they REALLY wanted to do!

At least I saw that bus stop advertisement for Ocean's Tuna: Ginger Lemon Sesame, Peri-Peri, and Sundried Tomato Tapenade! Wasted my time at IGA too, since they didn't have the Fresh Gourmet The Better Chip in Jalapeno flavor: "It's a Walmart brand!" they said as I bought NEW Pillsbury Pizza Pops in Double Cheeseburger flavor. I eventually got home at 9:25 after having to kill half an hour at Richmond Centre and buying frozen President's Choice Brussels sprouts and frozen President's Choice broccoli florets.

It's National Punctuation Day today... MY FAVORITE! After COFFEE TIME, I had to leave at 2 on a 401 and then a 410 (which I just got to on time, no thanks to idiots blocking my path on the sidewalk) for my appointment with Dr. Ruby before I helped with the kids. That was uncomfortable - I also saw a professional Audrey. Also, I had to buy more NEW Beehive Burst Peppermint lip balm at the Dollar Tree since there was no photo online that I could find, so I had to take my own photo. (I had ripped mine open last week before I figured this out...) I was there on time, but STILL had to wait 20 minutes to be seen! UGH! I should have gone to Dollar Tree before rather than after! Then I tried to speedwalk over to Lansdowne station a block and a half away, and just missed a Waterfront train thanks to these two slow ladies on the elevator going down.

When I got to Marine Drive station, I definitely needed a snack, so I went to Tim Horton's. Luckily, there was no lineup, so I got a non-sticky cheese tea biscuit and then got out of there to find that a wheelchair wanted to get on the 3 as well. Then a stroller wanted to get on - at least this one contained a fairly curious kid who growled and made various noises, unlike the other stroller who got on after that one left! After another delay caused by the driver stopping in the middle of the road for five minutes to check an alarm that was going off, I finally got to Mount Pleasant at about 4:20 when I could have been there at 4:05! Too many delays! Yeah, I used Term to complain to via text, haha.

Inside, Penny was just finishing up speech therapy while Beckett was failing at napping again. Almost right after Penny left, it was off to the park across the street because Harmony wanted to walk Beckett around the playground to see if he'd nap then. Spoiler alert: He did not. Ayler asked if I wanted to play tag or Manhunt - no, because I had run out of energy and was like a car which had run out of gas. Hiero asked why I walked how I did, so maybe Jon and Harmony should talk to him about it at some point. Once we got home again after more promises of consequences, I got to play with Beckett for a bit. He liked the baby pop-up toy because it made him laugh more than usual, wanted me to shake my head a lot because it was funny, liked PEEK-A-BOO as per Hiero, tried eating my DRAGON HOODIE strings again, and climbed on me a few times. (he did pull Hiero's hair, though!)

At the same time, Hiero was trying to show me his origami. Blowing up squares to make huge boxes, oh my! Later, I stayed close as Beckett crawled on the couch despite Ayler telling me not to let him do it. Well, you're doing and completing a HUGE connect-the-dots puzzle, so I'll do what I want while keeping Beckett safe in my own way, including trying to put on one of his missing socks. We had salmon, congee, Chinese chicken soup, meatballs with ketchup and barbecue sauce, some veggies, and ridiculous amounts of shredded pork. Then we talked about whether Jon had been shot today at the Downtown Eastside (he was fine and didn't have to lie on the floor as per Hiero's question), why people shoot at each other ("because some people think that the best way to resolve their problems is with guns" and "that's why we don't joke about guns"), my Cactus Club birthday dinner, Ayler seeing Brooke early this morning ("how do you know?"), Hiero doing flips and gymnastics in the elevator earlier and being injured, and how much everyone in the family could eat compared to each other.

After I washed dishes for a bit, I read to Hiero about Optimus Prime and the Decepticons, then listened to Ayler play a boogie on the piano before listening to him read a Level 2 story about polar bears. Sure I had to help him with some words, but that's normal. I left at 7:20, but couldn't get a 3 bus till 7:40 thanks to a couple of buses being out of service! I missed a Brighouse train by five minutes, and JUST managed to get a 407 at Brighouse, no thanks to people blocking my path where I was going to run to the front door of the bus. Do I really have to shove my way past other people all the time to get where I'm going in a timely fashion?! I got home at 8:35, checked my mail, and found Julie's birthday card plus random stuff - yay!

Random stuff: Nathan returning the OUTLANDER novel to me, six packs of Compliments Safeway brand spicy chicken instant noodles, and yet another pair of reading glasses. Good thing I didn't buy the Jergens lotion today because of all the walking I had to do, AND the utter weight of the 650-page paperback book!

I have no patience for garbled gibberish group names on Facebook or anywhere else. What kind of name is "mkhgpqwopo ooezpq can luionnnnn"?! The old name of Quotes and Sarcasm was just fine! I know that 2/3 of the people there have really foreign or just plain weirdass personal names, but that doesn't mean it has to transfer to the group name as well, MISSY ANN! You have a normal name - COME ON! I've left the group, and I'm not even sure why I was there in the first place. I showered today after finally blocking Victor R. for asking about dick pics. Gross! Deleting Telegram from my phone proved to be easy, thanks to Google.

After COFFEE TIME, I went out at 2:40 on a 407 to help with the kids, telling Jon to text me if something happened. Got there at 3:45 and discussed poop hygiene, Beckett waking up just then, paper planes, bullet trains, origami (I was just folding along with them and not caring if I was any good), babbling, outer space, fast trains, Myles and the ER, Mom not noticing certain things like the cooking soup overflowing right in front of her and making a great puddle for Beckett to crawl in, Lizst, classical music, minuets, and Beckett chewing on things.

I left at 1:35 and just managed to get the 414 at the non-existent 56447 bus stop - PHEW! Went to London Drugs and bought on-sale limited-edition Lays Chips in Cheese Onion and Spicy Cheddar, on-sale McSweeney's Premium Jerky and Meat Snacks Canadian Maple pork jerky, on-sale McSweeney's original and Cracked Black Pepper and Teriyaki beef jerky, a dark blue MARTEX bath towel, NEW Strawberry-Banana Tic Tacs Mixers, and some on-sale Royal Dansk butter cookies for Deb and Dylan. Then I went to see Rachel at the Caring Place, which went fine even after talking about two weeks ago. I got home at 5:15 on a 401, no thanks to a delay. Now I am going to relax! I also just checked my mail - someone sent me THE FARTING ANIMALS COLORING BOOK (M.T. Lott) via Amazon recently... NICE! The amount of white packing Styrofoam material inside the Amazon envelope was not so nice, though! (I should pack it up and send it to Jimmy, ha ha ha... he supposedly HATES it!)

I was woken up at 5 AM by a loud piercing noise from across the street. Ugh, construction... no wonder "a loud piercing howl" is a Runaway Dog enemy attack in Earthbound... COFFEE TIME x2! I also learned that this construction will be 24/7 till the end of May... they're an exemption to the noise bylaw?! WHAT THE FUCK!

It's International Women's Day today! After DOUBLE COFFEE TIME, I left the apartment at 1:55 because I had to walk to Brighouse station and be on time to see Rachel at The Caring Place - thanks, endless construction and sewer upgrades! I even got a snack of a mixed fruit bar, grape juice, and a Smarties chocolate egg for International Women's Day at the end of the session. PHEW! Yes, I got angry and frustrated at Rachel, but she was fine with it. LET ME VENT FIRST!

After COFFEE TIME, Eric picked me up for church in the morning. We talked about DARK SOULS, my eye surgery and insurance, how it was somewhat his fault for the sewer updates and construction zone around my place because his company was involved, drivers and turn signals, Elysse thinking my dad was dead because I now have his old phone, and sleeping in last week. We sat together in church service, I returned Deb's Ziploc tub to her / returned Mom's jars to her, and said hi to Frances M. / Sophie / Auntie Cathy / Ayler / Hiero / Andrew L.

I got a lunch and ride offer from Deb if I was fine with going to Canadian Tire beforehand (sure, why not?), and had to chat briefly with Uncle Reuben as he saw me. He asked about Dad and - speak of the devil (which I DID say out loud in church, hahaha) - Dad did pass by in purple choir robes a minute later! Ivan did joke that I should make it three weeks in a row for church attendance next week, but I think I'm good to go for now. Dylan, Deb, Declan, Elysse, and I bumped into Mom in the church elevator, where she thanked them for "looking after" me. *rolleyes* Like I can't do that myself?! Sheesh!

After looking at ALL the games / windshield wiper fluid / shovels / lawn mowers at Canadian Tire (and saying hi to Joe T. who was also there), it was time for a Pho lunch at Basil Garden (where I attempted to pay for my own meal - we talked about Farrah Fawcett / SMALL SACRIFICES and Diane Downs / SALVATION / Extreme's MORE THAN WORDS / whining / iPad time / tendon / brisket / steak / tripe / Pho noodles / rice) and Hiero's glow-in-the-dark bowling party at Grandview Lanes! While I was at the bowling alley, I successfully signed up for Shaw Open wi-fi because I'd written down my stuff at home when I could more easily access it via desktop. I also met a kid named Louie's mom (Hiero's classmate), saw kids named SPARKLE and KALAN in another group, and tried to stay out of the way, but it was pretty cramped.

Ayler asked me whether my body was cold because of the Dairy Queen ice cream cake (not yet), and added that the cake was the yummiest cake that he's ever had - NICE! Said hi to baby Beckett when he was awake, admired the glow-in-the-dark effect, watched Elysse when she looked at the frosted window, and told Hiero that I could read to him the next time I came over because my eye surgery was done for now. He seemed to like that idea, as well as the hot dogs and Lays chips and veggie platter. I got a sane ride home with Deb and Dylan, thank goodness. We talked about tonight's lunar eclipse, Jawbreaker candy, and I SPY before they dropped me off at 4:50. The Canucks played Detroit at 1 today, and won 3-2.

After COFFEE TIME, I left extra early (ugh) at 12:20 for my 1 PM rescheduled appointment with Rachel. I guess I have to take being half an hour early rather than ten minutes late, due to weird C94 scheduling. After that, I went to London Drugs and got Excel peppermint gum, and was very careful with my selection for a new wallet, eventually deciding on a $30 (and expensive!) "big" black Swiss Gear toiletry bag. At least it can fit 100 index cards, three maxipads, and a bunch of other stuff while still being wide enough for a bank envelope should I need one to compartmentalize some cash money! Speaking of cash money, I got two $5 bills in my change, which should be enough for the "extra" $10 for Andrew's final computer payment for next payday! I got home at 3:05 on a 407, and was mildly annoyed when I saw that Mom had tried calling me. I SAID I COULDN'T MAKE IT TO LUNCH! Jesus Christ!

I emailed Eric a reminder about the new(er) computer and the subsequent electronics recycling, and he emailed me back with detailed instructions on how to take a screenshot with Snipping Tool (so convenient!) of the System Tools, so he could compare with what was currently available. I definitely appreciated that, and he emailed me back with a Best Buy link! I do have just enough cash for that around here.

Then Christon emailed a bunch of us with an impromptu Sunday (but Monday) Dinner Evite at Jeremy's for May 21 with Thai or Vietnamese food... it's been a while, so it's time to do our semi-annual catchup, as I said in my RSVP! After COFFEE TIME and the fire inspection / "Terminix pest control" with Hester, I left at 2:45 for Jon's with the Crunchy Raspberry / Crunchy Mint / Crunchy Raspberry M and Ms for Harmony, plus the dessert chocolate. I bought a BBQ pork bun from Kam Do Bakery, of course. I got to the house at about 3:25, and they were definitely home because I heard fussing from inside. The kids were eating the last of a snack, and Jon's student Kayla came in just a minute after me. The boys were okay for the most part, but still had volume issues. Hiero told me that the tiny playing cards were from the doctor, and Ayler said "that is that" when I asked him what my San Francisco shirt said. Jon called him out on that, and also on his telling me to guess whether he went to school today. Ayler climbed on me and wanted to get my hat - NO! Hiero wanted to drive his truck on me - okay, I guess so.

One huge burrito plus 1/4 of Hiero's AND half of his black bean burger was more than enough for dinner! (plus Ayler's leftover peppers and tomatoes from snacktime) We talked about reading and writing, Hiero knowing the concept and word of "exhaustion," Hiero drawing "a delicate maze," the new baby, Harmony going to Dragon Ball for some well-deserved bubble tea, Ayler changing teachers, Ayler drawing a monster, Ayler knowing how to read the word "flowers," and Harmony thanking me for all the chocolate. No, I didn't want any as I had quite a lot at home! (I ate one piece for dessert when I got home at 7:40 on a 407, before brushing my teeth)

Random stuff from Mom and Dad: assorted washed cutlery, 3/4 of a bag of Old Dutch ripple chips that expired three days ago (with a rubber band around it, but still... I have enough junk food as it is!), two Good In Every Grain zipper pulls in the tiniest Ziploc bags ever (a sandwich bag would be just fine next time), and $5 cash.

Once I knocked on the window, Randal let me in without knowing who I was, and Ayler said that Uncle Randal had beat me to the house. That's fine; I don't think either of us cares about that. We talked about our weeks, his dad, the flu (the kids thought it was the most hilarious thing ever that they gave it to me...), red rice, Greek spinach with olive oil, pomelo salad, Harmony not eating chicken feet, my Turtles chocolates, Ayler telling me a big fat lie ("Mommy doesn't eat chocolate!"), my eating Hiero's carrots, not getting off at Brighouse station (but what if I want to go there?), kicking a car in revenge for it running you over, toy trains, Ayler not having school today, Mom and Dad moving to Burnaby, selling liquor at grocery stores (and those restrictions!), Chinese New Year coinciding with Steph's birthday this year, San Francisco, and Langara having lots of lights to somewhat help me even if it was completely dark outside when I left five minutes after Randal. Got home at 8:05 on a 407, which is definitely the usual time. Helps to rest and relax afterwards, for sure!

This is the complete bestiary for FINAL FANTASY 5 SPOOF, and all screenshots are from my own playthrough. I'd like to say that this GameFAQs bestiary document helped me a lot; thank you! (as did this one, for more precise directions in certain places) Also, this walkthrough helped me a lot, too! Actually, I was tired of suffering through emulator slowness and game glitches x8, so input a code for a 100% complete Bestiary. These maps will help, since the world map DOESN'T FUCKING WORK IN THIS GAME!

Fire-Powered Ship puzzle directions.

Notes to self: Activate the All Characters Have All Abilities code, and then TAKE IT OFF, or else the game will get incredibly frustratingly SLOW. Also, take all codes off before going to the Big Bridge, or attempting to find the Phantom Village! VISHNU VEST EQUIPMENT! Speaking of equipment, EQUIP KRILE WHEN SHE JOINS THE PARTY AFTER GALUF'S DEATH! As far as codes go, the "have 99 of all items" code makes the game freeze and have sound issues!

After much frustration over three hours, I managed to defeat Omega by using the power of Mirage Vests (IMAGE STATUS) / Coral Rings (fire protection), and a pre-emptive strike! I used it to power up my blades with Thundaga Spellblade, then used Rapid-Fire on Faris... I think it was a fluke!

Also, to reset the breath timer in the sunken tower of Walse, climb up the fourth floor vine to get to that chest! I finally actually defeated Famed Mimic Gogo at the bottom of the sunken Tower of Walse by using the Dragoon / Dual-Wield x4 strategy! It was pretty tricky since I wasn't sure that all my characters would survive at least five Meteor attacks, but two of them did! Got garbled text as part of the bugged fight, too... "Dragged into another dimension! Odin: All right, that's far enough! Turning to stone... Can't escape! Countdown to Pestilence... 4 KO'd! Countdown to Eruption... 5 KO'd! Level halved! KO'd!":D

To get the Drakenvale Golem in the Bestiary, defeat the dragons first and THEN defend until he thanks you!

Stick "READ AHEAD" on a character other than Lenna! To prevent having to input all the codes over and over again, SAVE / remove all codes / then close and reopen the emulator! They should all still be there!

For the Moogle in the Forest of Moore to move after the trees have been set on fire by Tzepish, save the game in the cave and then reset. The creature should NOT be blocking the entrance.

Airship in World 3: It's just above Surgate Castle, east of the Pyramid.

I noticed that Eric Ho had tried calling me yesterday when I was out, so I called him back at 11:50 AM. He answered the phone, and said that he just wanted to let me know - AFTER THE FACT! - that he'd tried sending me an email on Saturday to say that he couldn't make it, and had noticed that I'd called him at 6:40 that evening. Ah yes, his email problems had cropped up again! He wanted to get together this Saturday for the Calgary game at 7 instead, so he'll call me after he gets off work that day. Sure, why not? That sounds good!

Barry called me at 12:30 to say that he'd found someone named Tryanna who could take me food shopping on the 20th. He says he'll be back in early October, unless war breaks out in Japan. I thought Trump was after North Korea, but WHO KNOWS. Then I called Chrystal at 1:15 to let her know what was up, of course. She appreciated it - of course I'll call her later to confirm!

I went out to Richmond Centre at 11:30 to see if I could get relatively inexpensive new sneakers from Payless, and I got some CHAMPION Size 6 shoes for $40. I'd rather pay more for a pair that doesn't make me feel like my feet are going to (halfway) slip and fall out of my shoes at any given step! Then I went to Shoppers to get an on-sale T&T beef teriyaki sushi roll for lunch (since it expires tomorrow), and ate that at the food court. After checking my chequing account balance at the bank machine, I got on a 407 at 1:20 and dropped by the pharmacy next door to see if I could get my prescription refill for my birth control before the long weekend, and I did!

Today is Left-Handers Day! I had to deal with a lot of online drama this morning, which involved some rude and condescending Penguins fan named Jennifer who thought that she had an IQ of 169, and that my "attitude problem" could be solved by talking to her. I don't THINK so! Thank goodness Helen Y. understood, while Jimmy could definitely relate, and Tommy was okay with people leaving that Metropolis Division group chat on Facebook. Hopefully, Jimmy and I can forge more of a friendship! I think it's a good sign that he says he trusts me (gotta make sure that stays) and wants me to speak my mind / anything to him. I'll just take this friendship slowly, as per usual.

In FINAL FANTASY VI: THE ETERNAL CRYSTALS, the party finally makes it to the Ancient Castle dungeon. They find Queen Yunalesca's Diary in a room to the right of the throne! "A book, with a gem-encrusted cover... Queen Yunalesca's Diary."

In the GBA version of FINAL FANTASY VI, the diary is simply "The Queen's Diary." It says, "The Queen's Diary... I have fallen in love with Odin. It is a forbidden love, I know... But the flames of passion obey not rule or reason..."

In the SNES version of FINAL FANTASY VI, the diary is even more simple: "Queen's Diary."

This is from the SNES version: If Terra is in the FINAL FANTASY VI party at this point, she will have something to say after everyone reads the Queen's Diary. "Love between a human and an Esper..." Yes, that is her defining character trait!
