After a shower in the afternoon, I left at 5:05 on a 407 to get to Marine Drive by about 5:30. Since the liquor store was right next door to Dublin Crossing Pub, I went there to select my Halloween 2019 beer for this season: Phillips Crookeder Ale it was! Steve took me to the meetup table - he knew what I meant by that phrase, hah! I saw Laura again, and met Jeff / Teri / a very late Evelyn. Later, I told Steve that Nate told me that he hadn't responded to some drunken nonsense from the weekend, but Steve IS busy at (not "in") work!

We talked about TORCHLIGHT, APEX, game screenshots, "electric poop," Always changing their pad packaging to appeal to trans and "non-binary" people (really?!), Michelle's love life, Brian coming to fix Laura's dresser tomorrow, Winners being upstairs, moving to a smaller table (damn high stools!), Laura's niece, my nephews, work, and other things. Then we all left at 8:20 - Laura and Teri went to Winners while Jeff happened to be going to the station as well, but he was heading to Broadway in the opposite direction! I was home at 9:05 on a 407, but I really should have left at 8 to be home half an hour earlier like I was yesterday! At least the Compass Card machines cooperated tonight...


NOTE TO SELF: According to Dan, I should have the Yorkshire Pudding and Tullamore whiskey (Johnnie Walker Black sample?) next time I'm here. Maybe I'll remember if I write it down here, haha...


Steak and whiskey prawns! Grilled 8-ounce AAA Canadian top sirloin served with sautèed seasonal vegetables and garlic mashed potatoes.

I left at 11:20 on a 407 to go to London Drugs to get new scissors. I couldn't find Scotch scissors or Ekco kitchen scissors, so I got Kortari kitchen scissors instead while getting some NEW Tazo Chai Tea for National Chai Day today on September 21. Got home at 12:05 on a 407, and texted white Eric for a ride tonight. Things worked out even if Darryl now can't come since he'll be all tapped out by tonight with MAGIC: THE GATHERING and other things going on today. I understand even if he did acknowledge that he's being a flake! Definitely shower time now!

I went out again at 5 on a 407 to Shoppers Drug Mart. Wanted to get a lot of soup for the snow: on-sale Campbell's Everyday Gourmet soup x4 (Fire-Roasted Sweet Pepper and Tomato / Harvest Mushroom with White Wine / Garden Market Vegetable / Golden Butternut Squash), on-sale Lipton Cup-A-Soup x4 (Chicken Noodle x2 / Chicken Noodle Supreme x2), and President's Choice canned soup x3. (World of Flavors Thai Chicken / World of Flavors Indian Chicken Mulligatawny / World of Flavors Mexican Chicken) Then I got home at 6:10 after taking pictures of the DRAGON ARTWORK at the hospital across the street.


Checked my mail, and got a belated Make-A-Wish Australia Christmas card and a bunch of Australian postcards from Deanna H. in the mail this week. After COFFEE TIME, Eric picked me up for church in the morning. We talked about DARK SOULS, my eye surgery and insurance, how it was somewhat his fault for the sewer updates and construction zone around my place because his company was involved, drivers and turn signals, Elysse thinking my dad was dead because I now have his old phone, and sleeping in last week. We sat together in church service, I returned Deb's Ziploc tub to her / returned Mom's jars to her, and said hi to Frances M. / Sophie / Auntie Cathy / Ayler / Hiero / Andrew L.

I got a lunch and ride offer from Deb if I was fine with going to Canadian Tire beforehand (sure, why not?), and had to chat briefly with Uncle Reuben as he saw me. He asked about Dad and - speak of the devil (which I DID say out loud in church, hahaha) - Dad did pass by in purple choir robes a minute later! Ivan did joke that I should make it three weeks in a row for church attendance next week, but I think I'm good to go for now. Dylan, Deb, Declan, Elysse, and I bumped into Mom in the church elevator, where she thanked them for "looking after" me. *rolleyes* Like I can't do that myself?! Sheesh!

After looking at ALL the games / windshield wiper fluid / shovels / lawn mowers at Canadian Tire (and saying hi to Joe T. who was also there), it was time for a Pho lunch at Basil Garden (where I attempted to pay for my own meal - we talked about Farrah Fawcett / SMALL SACRIFICES and Diane Downs / SALVATION / Extreme's MORE THAN WORDS / whining / iPad time / tendon / brisket / steak / tripe / Pho noodles / rice) and Hiero's glow-in-the-dark bowling party at Grandview Lanes! While I was at the bowling alley, I successfully signed up for Shaw Open wi-fi because I'd written down my stuff at home when I could more easily access it via desktop. I also met a kid named Louie's mom (Hiero's classmate), saw kids named SPARKLE and KALAN in another group, and tried to stay out of the way, but it was pretty cramped.

Ayler asked me whether my body was cold because of the Dairy Queen ice cream cake (not yet), and added that the cake was the yummiest cake that he's ever had - NICE! Said hi to baby Beckett when he was awake, admired the glow-in-the-dark effect, watched Elysse when she looked at the frosted window, and told Hiero that I could read to him the next time I came over because my eye surgery was done for now. He seemed to like that idea, as well as the hot dogs and Lays chips and veggie platter. I got a sane ride home with Deb and Dylan, thank goodness. We talked about tonight's lunar eclipse, Jawbreaker candy, and I SPY before they dropped me off at 4:50. The Canucks played Detroit at 1 today, and won 3-2.

I woke up to NO WATER PRESSURE AT ALL at 7:30 AM, with NO NOTICES about it! NOT ACCEPTABLE! I very politely called Hester at 8:45 AM, who said that it was an emergency for the whole building, and that it should be fixed then. I tested it out using both sinks and the toilet, and it seemed that way... PHEW! After I had COFFEE TIME, Barry picked me up at 11:50 and we went banking and to Price Smart. I bought NEW Bassili's Best shepherd's pie which expires in 2020, NEW Mott's Clamato Caesar Pickled Bean Caesar tomato juice, on-sale V8 tomato juice (CHILDHOOD MEMORIES!), an on-sale beef teriyaki bowl which expires tomorrow (hey, at least they had the good sense to discount it, unlike with the spicy pig ears last week...), Shin Ramyun BLACK noodles, Vedan spicy mushroom noodles, on-sale Ben & Jerry's ice cream x6 (Cherry Garcia / Chocolate Fudge Brownie / Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough / Chocolate Therapy / If I Had 1,000,000 Flavors / Half-Baked), CLR for the kitchen (beats going to the bathroom for it every single time...), and JOY dumplings x4.

Also bought Nongshim Korean claypot miso ramyun noodles, on-sale NEW Lemon-Lime Gatorade x6, on-sale Western Family perogies x2 (potatoes and cottage cheese / potatoes and cheddar cheese), NEW on-sale Western Family vanilla Greek yogurt, on-sale Kozy Shack tapioca pudding, NEW Late July mild Green Mojo tortilla chips, on-sale Silk almond milk, NEW Hua Diao Chinese cooking wine noodle soup, replacement Club House coarse grind black pepper (I'm not sure how old the current one is...), NEW Sichuan Bahia broad vermicelli chili oil noodles, NEW Shirakiku Goku-Uma ramen noodles, and more! I got that guy Ray as my cashier - nice! After that, I paid my Shaw bill online at home.
