Of all the people, Uncle Joe added me to Facebook - HAHAHA! The Canucks played the Flames at 7 tonight, and lost 3-1.

From Julie: Maddelyne?! If I have to write it down to make sure that I spelled it correctly, it’s definitely BAD SPELLING!

Shoppers Drug Mart: On-sale Philadelphia chip dip (dill pickle!), and on-sale President's Choice bite-size round tortilla chips! Gotta have it for Chips and Dip Day today and tomorrow!

Before COFFEE TIME, I called Chrystal to see what time we should meet tonight; 7:30 sounds good to me! I went out early at 5:30 to see if I could get that dragon hoodie at H and M after figuring out all the sidewalk and bus stop closures. They were all in a Medium size, but I figured that I'd make it work somehow. I didn't even care that I couldn't exchange it or get a refund since it was on clearance! $15 off - from $39.99 to $24.99! Then I went to the nearby London Drugs, then to the Broadway / Cambie London Drugs. Figured I'd spend my $75 tax refund while I was out and could do stuff, and I did! Now I have to wait for the April credit to go through, ha ha ha...

As I was reading an ARCHIE book, Chrystal came up to me - she was on time today! I told her that I had a birthday card for her, and not to worry about the rest of the stuff in my bulky reusable bag - that was all for me! We went to Pho Extreme Xe Lua to catch up: her parents going to Dubai pretty soon, Ethan and Mike being sick with the flu, my new Reddit friends, the whole Woob and Twitter screenshots saga, Benjamin being about the same age as Beckett, Beckett screaming as loud as the 80s music inside Como Taperia, and her knowing that I liked spicy stuff. After dinner, I went home instead of joining Brian, Paulo, and others at the American. I did stop by Shoppers Drug Mart when I got to Brighouse so I could get the aforementioned chips and dip. Got home at 9:10 on a 401, no thanks to MORE complicated sidewalk closures! They did make a temporary crosswalk near the intersection at my place, though.

From Sara and BrazilFlair on Tumblr: Here’s my first attempt at synonym rolls. Just like Grammar used to make!

Lots of dips! Lots of chocolates! FOOD TIME! )

After I had COFFEE TIME, Barry picked me up at 10:50 and we went banking and to Price Smart. I got NEW on-sale Samyang curry terrorist noodles, Cottonelle toilet paper x2, on-sale Sidekicks x6 (Creamy Bacon Carbonara / Garlic Butter with Lemon / Creamy Chicken Fusilli / Three-Cheese / Homestyle Cheddar / Tomato Alfredo), Ferrero Rocher hazelnut Easter eggs and NEW Easter Egg Oreos for Eric Ho and me, NEW Dark Chocolate Oreo cookies, Crayola Original washable markers x2 (yay for felts!), on-sale Good Taste dumplings x5 (Cabbage and Pork / Pork and Celery / Cabbage and Chicken / Beef and Vegetable / Pork and Chive), and NEW Dawn Lavender Wisp dish detergent.

Also got bananas, Finesse Daily Renewal shampoo and conditioner, on-sale Western Family garbage bags (60 to a box!), Western Family Skyr yogurt x2 (plain and vanilla!), Nongshim Kamja Tang Myun rich potato noodles, NEW Palmolive Soft Touch dish detergent x2 (Almond Milk and Blueberry / Coconut Butter and Orchid), on-sale Uncle Ben's rice x3 (Tomato and Herb / Cilantro and Lime / Southwest Style) and NEW St. Ives Oatmeal and Shea Butter soothing body wash. Later, I paid my Shaw bill online at home. The Canucks played the Senators at 7 tonight, and won 7-4 after practically blowing a 5-0 lead in the third.

Mr. Saturn is a blobfish in real life!

Yogurt, Oreo cookies, Nair, Always, and dish soap! )
glowing_dragon: (Vancouver Canucks hockey!)
After COFFEE TIME, I called the eye clinic to say that I'd run out of eyedrops, so asked what to do. End result: I have an appointment next Friday with Dr. Wise (the only day she's in) to check the eye pressure. The Canucks played Chicago at 5:30 today, and lost 4-3 in overtime. I also saw a dead mouse two inches away from a mousetrap! Guess I'm calling Barry tomorrow...

From Wesley and The Bleacher Report on October 5, 2018: LaShawnita Ruffins and Tre'Davious White?! Reminds me of Ruffles chips, hahaha.

glowing_dragon: (Poop)
From Julie M. and Krazy Bitch: Farted in my wallet. Now I have gas money.

From Aaron94 on Discord, Julie M., and Vanessa on November 29, 2018: Abcde Redford?! Also, the reporter has a great last name: MIRACLE!

From Pete: The guy says, "Let's go get some sushi!" The girl says, "I don't like eating raw fish." The guy responds, "Well... FUKU DEN." RESTAURANT STYLE!

glowing_dragon: (Poop)
From Julie: Why is it that people can add glitter to their coffee and drink it out of an avocado, but it's suddenly "out of line" when I stir in the blood of my enemies and drink from their skull? HAHAHAHA!

From Julie: Notorious Serial Killers: A Trump card game for adults!

glowing_dragon: (Vancouver Canucks hockey!)
After COFFEE TIME, I went out at 2 on a 414 to see Rachel at the Caring Place, then rushed home later, getting home at 4 on the third Brighouse 401, NO THANKS to a non-existent 407! The Canucks played the Blue Jackets at 4 today, and came from behind to win 3-2 on a fluky goal in the third - WOO!

The real dangers of cannabis, which I sent to my ex-friend Jimmy once! French fries, pizza, bacon, and hamburger all together!

glowing_dragon: (French Toast)
Menu for tonight:

Tortilla chips with salsa verde and salsa rojo
Chicken Tortilla soup
Jicama Salad (vegetarian)
Mole Colaradito Enchiladas (vegetarian)
Agua de Jamaica (zero proof)

After DOUBLE COFFEE TIME, I left at 2:45 on a 401 for Jeremy's. I had the on-sale Brookside Chocolate bars x2 (Roasted Almond and Sea Salt / Cranberry Almond with Blood Orange Flavor) and the four NHL 100 Advent calendars / Waterbridge Belgian chocolate seashells for Jon, plus the Terry's Chocolate Orange / NHL 100 Advent calendar / Waterbridge Belgian chocolate seashells for Eric Ho. Maybe HE could drive me home, haha! It turned out he couldn't since he'd driven downtown because he wouldn't be able to get much parking! I killed 45 minutes at Kingsgate Mall, but got to Jeremy's at 4. Ayler picked up, but wouldn't buzz me into the building for some reason. I tried four times after that, and LUCKILY, Jeremy's neighbors were exiting the building and let me in! (possibly because they saw I was actively trying to be buzzed in) Later, we found out that the kids had left the phone off the hook for half an hour! UGH!

I settled in by Harmony, saying hi to her and baby Beckett, who held my finger and burbled at me. Ayler and Hiero wanted to do THUMB WAR and STELLA STELLA OLA, but I was fine with watching them (and the Rubik's Cube) instead. I read a MR. MEN book to them, plus a book on frogs and one on animal tracks and Curious George. When everyone got there, I managed to get a ride to Broadway Station from Kevin later on. Talked to Randal, SERVANTS friends (Rudy?), Christon, Dilys, Alice, Jesse, Trish, Caleb, Becky, and others about Crown Royal Black whiskey, condos, townhouses, toilets, sanitation, history, vacation, the Christmas holidays, beer, the food, white Eric, Chinese Eric, Condoleeza Rice and the Cleveland Browns, women and guns, chimeras / DNA / transgender people, Uncle Stanley's colon cancer (but he is positive about it), and more. Kevin drove me near Broadway Station at 8:50 in the freezing weather, and I got home at 9:50 on a 407. Phew!
glowing_dragon: (Happy Birthday!)
After COFFEE TIME, I went out at 6:25 to meet Chrystal at London Drugs at 7; it didn't matter if she was late because I'd technically been late as well, getting to the station at 7:05. After telling her that Original Joe's and Chronic Tacos were both closed, I said we might as well walk along Broadway till we saw something that caught my eye. Yes, I definitely knew she was treating me! I knew there was a Cactus Club around there, and I was correct when we got to Broadway and Ash. We talked about sitting on the patio, her Baja fish tacos (I had one) and my tuna poke bowl, water, her nephew Ethan wanting to hit people thanks to preschool, her baby nephew Benjamin, yesterday's eyeball ultrasound and my parents' idea of an Oakridge "ride," our bad sense of direction, Thanksgiving, my parents' upcoming "Tom and Tom" trip to Minnesota, the Canucks, New Zealand, Australia, Mike T.'s birthday the other day (they all went to eat sushi), their going to SURREY instead of RICHMOND on Sunday (thus how they got lost and went on the wrong exit), the computer / router / computer case stuff on Sunday, my having lamb at Felico's, surprise birthday cards, and therapy.

After dinner, I wanted to also check out the nearby Book Warehouse to get the newest Bathroom Reader #31 if possible since the website said it was in stock, and I did! Uncle John's Actual and Factual Bathroom Reader #31 (Uncle John's Bathroom Reader Annual), baby! I told Chrystal about what had happened last year with the "nearest" post office bullshit before we went our separate ways at the Canada Line station, where I just missed a Brighouse train. At Broadway Station, a businesswoman wanted me to hold the elevator doors for her - instead, she managed to squeeze herself in when the doors were closing. The train wasn't even coming into the station, and the other guy on the elevator seemed to have issues of his own, like wearing sandals outside on a cool evening. Some old guy wanted me to move on the Brighouse bench while I was actively reading - NO, because he could have just walked to the end of the short bench! When I finally got home at 9:30 on a 407, I finally checked my mail to find a funny "Happy Birthday, Tree Killer" birthday card from Steph and Lisa, which included Fraser's and Henry's handprints - NICE! Thank goodness that I had peace and quiet to do what I had to do when I got home!

Cactus Club's NEW Tuna Poke Bowl: Sesame ginger Ocean Wise™ ahi tuna, jasmine rice, mango, cucumber, avocado, edamame, radish, and crispy tempura! Hawaiian taste, indeed!

After MORE COFFEE TIME, I left just before 4:30 to make it to Wo's: A family dinner for Dad's 69th birthday! Of course I was the first one there! (and I saw Mr. Creep on the bus AGAIN...) Harmony set a new record in convincing the Wo's owner to turn off the TV, which was tuned to the Cartoon Network: SEVEN MINUTES! We talked about strata meetings, moving on Thursday, Burnaby, the lards' car leaking oil, Uncle William, plans for this week, the farmer's market, snacks, dessert, finding my Fit-Overs (which I just found within two minutes of looking for them), Beckett sleeping, Ayler and Hiero asking about candy and the time, me being drunk / red-faced / snorty / giggly on the beer which Jon bought, and Quality Street chocolates. I got home at 8 on a 407, no thanks to just missing the previous 407 at Brighouse! Mom thought I needed to be told to look both ways before crossing the street at Marine Drive Station - I wasn't THAT drunk! Jon wants me to come over on Tuesday for dinner help - after Rachel, for sure.

Dinner: Steamed chicken, sweet and sour pork, green beans and ground beef, cod fish, tofu cakes, corn soup, lamb, Bring-Your-Own-Beer (Andina Guava Saison 6.5%), rice, and tea!

Random stuff from Mom and Dad: Instant oxtail soup mix x3 (expiry date: July 18, 2019) / a triple-zippered leopard print Sport Sport wallet / chicken noodle Lipton Cup-A-Soup which expired on June 13, 2014 / spring vegetable Lipton Cup-A-Soup which expired on May 30, 2013 / spring vegetable Lipton Cup-A-Soup which expired on February 9, 2012 / a nearly full bag of McCormicks cinnamon hearts / a bag of Nosh and Co. Munch Madness lightly salted potato chips which expires on March 10, 2019 / AN HONEST DAY'S WORK white mug / two brown flowery very thin neck wraps / a pair of black knee socks / Organics honey and ginger green tea x7 / Twinings Earl Grey bergamot tea / Bigelow Cozy Chamomile herbal tea / Lipton Spiced Chai black tea / dinner leftovers / $5 cash.

After leaving the library yesterday (Sunday), I took the 410 to Staples to buy three boxes of Z-Grip pens, which now look different and have "Advanced Ink Technology." I think the comfy rubber grip is worth it for writing for nine hours in a row, and outweighs the risk of cutting myself on the packaging, which I just discovered that I can cut open! DUH. It's also cheaper by $3 a box!

At home, I gave my neighbor a show yesterday when she and I went to the front door at the same time! My pants were falling down, and I couldn't get them up in time! Then I couldn't salvage them later, anyway! I called Andrew back at 5:10 because he'd called me earlier. Andrew said that download speeds and the power supply had been giving him trouble, so he had to go out and buy a new $50 power supply, but that had been included in our deal, as well as the $35 each he'd have charged me for removing two viruses from my hard drive. I almost laughed at that, but he was being totally serious, with good reason! As agreed, I called him back at 8:15 after I'd finished the pizza leftovers, and he said that he didn't think he could finish it tonight if he had to be in bed by midnight for work today. He also doesn't want to bother people past 10 most of the time, but I remember the one time he'd come by at midnight or so. That had been in the summer, however. He'll work on it when he gets home today from work and then call me in the evening. That sounds reasonable to me! I might buy some index cards today since the price per 100 is slightly more reasonable at London Drugs than Staples, and might call Chrystal tomorrow.

Chinese Eric emailed me, white Eric, Jeremy, Jon, Christon, and Randal this morning about a Stanley Cup Final hangout somewhere - Washington Capitals and Las Vegas Golden Knights! I scanned the email (which had possible scheduling), but didn't see where the hangout was going to be, so of course I emailed everyone to ask where it was. Chinese Eric actually was on the ball with his email and replied to say that it was going to be at Jeremy's place. ("it has been brought to my attention," indeed) Well, I'm not giving up my Mike's Hard Root Beer for this one, so I'll just buy snacks later on in the week. Easy!

After DOUBLE COFFEE TIME, I went out to Mt. Pleasant Park at 3 (just missing a Canada Line train AND a 3 bus at Marine Drive!) with my own mat and silverware (UGH!) for Ayler's sixth birthday party. My knife did end up saving the day when it came to the homemade chocolate ganache mousse birthday cake, though! I was the only one who brought a knife, apparently. Ayler and Hiero were at the playground when I finally got to the park, so I left Harmony to watch my things along with hers so I could see what was up with them. They were flinging sand with shovels and "digging a hole to China." Later, Ayler and I were discussing our clothing choices, and he said he lived in Vancouver instead of Richmond, so he could know to wear a T-shirt instead of a long-sleeved shirt. Okay, then!

They had fun with the see-saw until it was food time. Ayler had a very specific order when it came to who should get birthday cake, but it definitely made sense that he should get the first slice! Everett and Evander were running around with them, while baby Naomi (whom I met for the first time) was just shy to me most of the time. Of course I said hi to Uncle Joe, Auntie Wing Yee, Brittney, Myles, Holly, and Peter. We had strawberries, lemonade, Clamato, huge DON'T ARGUE pizza slices, homemade chocolate cookies, and homemade chocolate ganache mousse cake. Salsa was also on offer, but what would I have had it with? Dad told me to say thanks to Harmony's parents for giving me a ride to Oakridge Station - DUH! I got home at 8:05 on a 401, and had to wash the dishes right away before I got distracted.

In the MOTHER 3 prologue, Alec says, "CLAUS! Lucas still doesn't know how to ram into things yet!" Ew, haha!

Vanessa got her card already, which shouldn't surprise me even if I did mail it on Sunday. The Canucks played Colorado at 7 tonight; the game had to go to overtime, and Vancouver won 4-3! Yuri is also back on Discord, so YAY FOR THAT!

From Julie M. and Someecards: Being in a car does not make you become suddenly invisible. So stop picking your nose.

From SFX Off-Topic: Shelli Montague Tipping?! But what if she isn't into tipping?!

In FINAL FANTASY VI for the iOS, Sabin / Cyan / Gau make it to Nikeah after swimming through the Serpent Trench from Mobliz. They enter the town pub. This dancer tells Cyan about her boobs in an attempt to flirt with him: "Hey, do you like these? I call this one Humpty, and this one Dumpty!"

After (MORE) COFFEE TIME, I left at 3:40 to make it to Jon's by 4:30. Thanks to a lucky red traffic light at Richmond Centre (and a lot of running across the street and into the station - untied shoelaces be dammed) and bus bunching at Langara, I was able to make it to the house on time! I decided to go from the back alley this time, and am JUST tall enough to be able to see into the back window (for the engagement photos) to check whether I am tapping on the right window (easier to hear than the doorbell - as was proved later by Jeff trying to get in) before I look like a crazy lady. Struggles of being short! Ayler opened the door for me again, and Hiero said that maybe I had been a bad person. Jon was curious whether Mom and Dad had told him about bad people, to put that into his brain and mouth! Wasn't me, that's for sure - I was just joking about it AFTER he said that! Then I asked him whether Steph had mailed him the baby card for Henry (nope), and whether Harmony had decided on a date for the family Xmas dinner - New Year's is fine by me. The kids just played at "making igloos" with the science kit while I put some spare copy paper from my place on the table. You can't say no to that, although I wouldn't be surprised if they did. Not like I'm going to do it every week or even every month! I also got A LOT of enjoyment out of reading EVERYONE POOPS by Taro Gomi, which Jon deliberately borrowed from the library. Hiero enjoyed pointing out the animal poo, hahahaha. (then I read THE SORCERER'S APPRENTICE and PINOCCHIO to him when he was upset later)

We had a dinner of chili, miso soup, and rice before I did some of the dishes to help out. Hiero complained that Jeff's violin was too loud, and covered his ears to protect himself. Jon had to talk to him about that. I can understand that the frequency in such close quarters would be too much, but compared to the Shark Club and other loud bars, it was actually not bad for me! Later, Ayler and Hiero fought over a piece of paper when there were plenty around on the table. Hiero went for his brother's eyes while Ayler wanted to hit him with his foot before going for a pincer attack with his legs. At least there's some sort of strategy, although I told Ayler that hitting his brother was NOT a choice out of either drawing or reading stories with me. Then he asked why baby Henry was the only person allowed to touch my hat - because Henry cannot pull off my hat from my head yet! He then counted the numbers on the calendar squares. I left before 7 (almost following Jeff out the door), and it was nice when Hiero told me to be careful. Thank goodness Langara College has plenty of lights! I got home at 7:40 on a 407, deciding that it wasn't worth it to go to the post office if the bus was going to come in two minutes. The Canucks played Winnipeg at 5 today, and lost 5-1... OUCH!

From Julie M. and Dr. Phil: KELTSEY?! So close, yet so far...

Prince "Frank" Tsetse?!

From Not Always Working: Elizabeth Peachey?! I like that last name! Even better if she lived in Georgia, hahaha! But WHY would you put your ultrasound pictures ANYWHERE on Facebook?!

From Not Always Right: Bryanna Davis Williams?! Someone's parents very obviously wanted a boy...

From Not Always Right: Okwy Ada?! Reminds me of KWYJIBO and the word "awkward." Her parents obviously didn't think of THAT when they chose the name: Did they really want their daughter to be awkward?! Geez, people.

The Canucks had Pre-Season Game #7 against the Flames tonight at 7, and won 3-1!

From Not Always Right: Shannon Necole Walker?! That's not how you spell NICOLE!

From Not Always Right: Jill Joiner?! I wanna join, hahaha!

From Not Always Right: Danyele Thompson?! That isn't how you spell DANIELLE! Did her parents yell at her a lot?

From Not Always Right: Mandy Sprinklemist McNalis?! I know it's made up, but I had to include this one!

After a few attempts, I finally got through to Dr. Ruby's office at 10:15 to make an appointment. I didn't care if they were kinda fully booked today. I got one at 3:20, so that worked for me after I took a shower. Wilf Charest added me via my Fearsome Canucks Fans group, too! Since I just managed to get the 407 at 2:45, I was at Lansdowne extra early, so I hit up the Dollar Tree for Tasty Kitchen chicken noodle soup x5. Then I went to Big Crazy for some Paldo Rabokki Korean spicy noodles, Penang Red Curry noodles, and Knorr extra hot and soup mixes x2. At Dr. Ruby's office, she said I should get Dimetapp DM (which the store was out of), do some saltwater gargling (which you can't overdose on!), and white minty Halls.

After that, I went to London Drugs to do just that. (the white minty Halls was on sale!) The pharmacist helped me find some Benylin which expires in February 2019. On the way home on the 407, some entitled old man said that I was hitting him in the face with my bag, so I spoke up and said that he was an entitled old man. No, the bus announcements are NOT for me, and the bus driver was telling some other girl to put her suitcase up in the bag area instead! If my bag was really in his face (it was KNEE-HEIGHT at best), then I could have "accidentally" hit him with my cans of soup! I finally got home at 5:15 - PHEW! Then I banned a couple of people from Fearsome because they thought I was on an admin power trip. Not even!

"You Are a Maximizer"

When it comes to everything in life, you're always looking for the best. And you don't mind if it takes a while to find it.
You look at every option before making a decision. You don't like to be rushed, and you often regret your choices if you are.

You're the type of person who checks out every item on the menu. You don't want to miss out on any gems!
People may be annoyed with how long you take to make a decision, but they will agree that your taste is extraordinary.

Good, because the other result (Satisficer) is definitely not a real word!
