Steph sent me a Facebook message wondering if December 19 to January 1 was okay for the Ontario trip, or if I had New Year's Eve parties back home to attend, saying that she and Lisa have low-key New Year's celebrations themselves. That's actually great, since she thinks the airports won't be too crazy on those particular dates! WOO! TIME TO POST A BUNCH OF PLACEHOLDERS!

Auntie Catherine finally got back to me via email, wished me a happy belated birthday, and said we could get together on the 24th. Ha, that's not going to work because of my doctor's appointment! I'm not going to go to Vancouver, back to Richmond, and then back to Vancouver within four and a half hours! She wants to go to the Gloucester Café, but at least I can probably take the 15 Olympic Village instead of walking down seven blocks from King Edward station unless I think I need the exercise before or afterwards.

Nick flaked out on me at 5:15 because he didn't want to go to Richmond since he's hungover and depressed and can't deal with small talk. REALLY? Flaps had a good reason: wisdom tooth removal today, which I was understanding about when he let me know yesterday. Darryl would just be all drained, which I totally understand, especially after Christon's wedding!

Then Dylan and Deb called me at 6:15 to say they were stuck in Coquitlam with the kids because traffic was blocked off everywhere, so they can't make it either. At least THEY offered to make it up to me with a meal at their place or elsewhere, so we can start the planning for that soon - not a big deal! They told Declan to wish me a happy birthday, which he did. Then Billie flaked out when she was supposed to be there, achieving Maximum Flake Level - DO YOU REALLY NEED TO DO THAT AT THE LAST MINUTE?! The Canucks played Los Angeles tonight at 6 in Salt Lake City in Preseason Game #5, and lost 7-5.

I got NEW on-sale Samyang curry terrorist noodles, Cottonelle toilet paper x2, on-sale Sidekicks x6 (Creamy Bacon Carbonara / Garlic Butter with Lemon / Creamy Chicken Fusilli / Three-Cheese / Homestyle Cheddar / Tomato Alfredo), Ferrero Rocher hazelnut Easter eggs and NEW Easter Egg Oreos for Eric Ho and me, NEW Dark Chocolate Oreo cookies, Crayola Original washable markers x2 (yay for felts!), on-sale Good Taste dumplings x5 (Cabbage and Pork / Pork and Celery / Cabbage and Chicken / Beef and Vegetable / Pork and Chive), and NEW Dawn Lavender Wisp dish detergent.

Also got bananas, Finesse Daily Renewal shampoo and conditioner, on-sale Western Family garbage bags (60 to a box!), Western Family Skyr yogurt x2 (plain and vanilla!), Nongshim Kamja Tang Myun rich potato noodles, NEW Palmolive Soft Touch dish detergent x2 (Almond Milk and Blueberry / Coconut Butter and Orchid), on-sale Uncle Ben's rice x3 (Tomato and Herb / Cilantro and Lime / Southwest Style) and NEW St. Ives Oatmeal and Shea Butter soothing body wash. Later, I paid my Shaw bill online at home. The Canucks played the Senators at 7 tonight, and won 7-4 after practically blowing a 5-0 lead in the third.

I got to voice call Helen Y. yesterday via Facebook Messenger - SO GOOD TO HEAR THE OTHER'S VOICE! Diane also re-friended me... okay, then! I also finally deleted all the Video Game Enemies albums on Facebook! They were fun at the time, but trying to redo them because various pages have gone bye-bye is just too exhausting... 39 albums and 4738 pics! The Canucks played Colorado at 7 tonight, and the crazy game went to overtime! VANCOUVER WON 7-6! FIVE POINTS FOR PETTERSEN!

Barry A. Cook and Kyriakos Gouridaris tried adding me to Facebook - DENIED! Steph called me unexpectedly the other day (the 13th) to vent about Mom and her overly-complicated planning, especially trying to let JON pick the location for MY birthday AGAIN. His kids are not an excuse for everything! Planning with Lisa's side of the family is "we're inviting ourselves over for dinner... boom, done!" She definitely doesn't miss that OR Mom, but does miss me and seeing the boys. Apparently, Mom was trying to get her to come over for my birthday, but if she wouldn't fly over for Beckett's baby banquet last week... at least Lisa, Fraser, and Henry are doing well. I don't care if she can't make it for my birthday, especially if it's just her solo and everyone else isn't part of Mom's "whole family" image! That's offensive!

Then I called Auntie Catherine last night (the 14th), trying to change our Monday plans to Saturday plans like it originally was. Nope, she has car issues and the doctor's appointment is better for her. Well, I felt bad trying to do that, which is something rare for me. Oh well, at least I briefly talked to Chung on the phone, and Auntie Catherine can just meet me in front of Pepper Lunch!
