I called Ayler at 6:35, just in time for my dumpling dinner and their dessert of raspberry / cherry croissants. We talked about going out, Hiero asking if I'd met Walter the dog yet (much better than the LICK MY BUM song), my saying hi to Beckett, Hiero asking about the last time I took a shower (again), the 7 PM cheer around here involving a car alarm, Ayler's reading program, Jon saying that Ayler wanted Beckett to be part of the phone calls too, my dessert of a Lindt truffle, and the next talk time being Tuesday afternoon. At least Ayler seems to like his reading program and the 100% quizzes! The "noise" he heard at the beginning was my Youtube video which I had to pause.

After I had it out with Kate because of her offensive fruitcake denseness (she did NOT apologize properly for calling me a LEAF!), Ayler called me at 4:50 (with Jon sending me a Facebook message just before - which I didn't read till later), to ask what I did today, so I said I had watched a bunch of videos. He parroted, "don't watch too many videos a day" - little does he know that this is what EVERYONE is doing during this time! I can deal with HIS talking about the same thing and I don't mind if he says wrong stuff because I expect less out of him since he's a child. He struggled to remember what they had for lunch - but came up with PIZZA! Yup, I miss pizza! Ayler says he isn't a reading master yet, but does do quizzes because they want to test him. He has 4000 stars, but wants to have 8000 on his reading program - GOALS!

I was on speaker phone, so I heard plenty of Harmony getting Hiero to understand whatever he was reading. Beckett said "Auntie" and pressed a button that left me listening to nothing for about a minute. He obviously understands that I'm not there and certainly recognizes my voice. When Ayler got back on the line, he explained what happened and wondered if I cared about it. I said it didn't matter and I wasn't mad at all. Jon told him to ask me when the last time was that I'd taken a shower - WHATEVER! I looked up the world record for someone not taking a shower: Ah, some Iranian who hasn't taken one for SIXTY YEARS! We set up the next talk time for Saturday afternoon when Jon's done teaching. I guess he teaches at home, so I don't know how that works out - they do need the money, of course. Ayler let me go at 5:05 so he could build a new train track - that's fine! I also didn't know Darryl was autistic, but he seems to cope well, and HE'S my friend so it doesn't matter!

How Much Toilet Paper? The Toilet Paper Calculator For Quarantine / Isolation!

We were so bored in Ceriam's Discord server that we were sharing photos of our computer / tech setups. Stallings said that my handwriting on the latest version of my shopping list was pretty, so I thanked him for the compliment.

Andrew came over at 5:15 today, after sleeping in. Hey, no worries, I told him. He didn't want to bother with the whole parking pass rigmarole, which I admit IS annoying. We discussed my eye surgery last year, Merritt, family updates, Search Everything, Chrome, my computer settings, computer drivers, pooping 187 times a day to use up a LOT of toilet paper, his wanting to know the programs so he can determine what's going on (which I understand), and fixing the tangled phone cord. He was over for about an hour, and left at 6:45 or so, not finding anything inherently wrong which would cause the computer to freeze! All temperatures are in very normal ranges since I'm underutilizing the computer's power. Nope, this is not a heavy-duty gaming rig!

He cut me a break on his fee (as Mike said) when I asked what the damage was, since he didn't really do too much: $20 cash sounds much better than $40, even during these times! I thought he would say that his kid stayed at his place so long that the pandemic happened during a week's extension, but it turned out to be much worse! We talked about lining up to shop at Superstore and other places now, and raising his rates six months ago - I know that a full tank of gas plus three jerry cans in the States is value! Or it was, but now we can't just go down there for cheap gas.

He did notice that the computer mouse stopped momentarily whenever the computer made a musical noise, but that wouldn't cause things to freeze... of course, the computer WOULD freeze shortly AFTER he left. It's not like I could have reproduced the issue on demand! At his request / upon his request, I did record a rather choppy phone video of me flipping off the power switch at the back and then turning on the power button again. Sigh. I did update Eric as well via text while noticing some weird font issues on my computer, possibly related to Andrew deleting WonderShare and some other programs. Yes, Andrew is still anti-Windows 10. Still, he has to keep current...

Today is Dictionary Day! After COFFEE TIME, I left at 1:10 in the rain to see Rishu at Touchstone and have hot chocolate while I talked about my mom and the transit drama. I'd finished up a few Hangouts messages to Mike before I left, having called the Translink Lost Property Office and getting no luck there. I guess red Compass Cards really are valuable since you don't have to top them up!

Then I called the BC Bus Pass Program since Barry can take a while to get back to me, and was put on hold for the next available representative. I HAD TO PEE SO BADLY, and DID! Also, I miraculously remembered my SIN. The guy said he'd put in a request for a replacement right away, and advised that it would be a $10 fee payable at my local bank once I got a letter in the mail. Well, I guess I'm not going too many places in the next two weeks! I did text white Eric, Paulo, and Kathy while I was out, too!

Once I finally got in my comfortable bubble of Richmond again, I saw a guy without any shoes or socks crossing the road to London Drugs. He was talking to himself, too. Come on now, control yourself in public! Then I got on the 401 (should have taken the 407) and came across that Down Syndrome lady on the bus. She thought her knitting bag deserved its own special seat on the rapidly-filling bus, so I said "EXCUSE ME" because she needed to move her fucking bag!

Then she took exception to what I said. "Next time, say excuse me, ma'am, can you please remove your bag?" I told her that she was not entitled to an extra seat and told her to fuck off. She also told a wheelchair user that she didn't care if the rain fell on him since she didn't care about him. What the fuck, "lady"?! I finally got home at 4, thank goodness!

Mom picked me up at 5 so we could go to Tsim Chai for dinner before the VOS (Vancouver Oratorio Society) choir concert that Dad was doing at Fraserview. BEEF TENDON NOODLES! She had discovered the pocket dial from my phone to Pothead Mike and complained that it had cost her one extra dollar, then wanted to use MY phone to call Steph. She ended up using her own phone, HA HA! I had to explain the concept of a pocket dial to her... and of course vent to Steph while Mom was in my bathroom, ha ha ha. Mom even complained that I didn't have Jon and Steph in my phone or WhatsApp contacts - I don't use WhatsApp at all, but I could for video calls at some point, I guess.

Later, Mom said that "my brother's wife's sister" (just say "Auntie Kwai") is going to be living with them for a couple of months since she lost her low-cost housing in the move from BC to Ontario, and she can't get used to life over there. She also told me redundant stuff about Maria Tam who just died from lung cancer, some missionary friend Winnie who will be staying with them (from July 12) for a week or so after they get back from Toronto on July 4, and how Harmony supposedly wants me to help with the kids when they're away from June 18 for the Oratorio Society concerts with some Hong Kong chorus. Well, I'll wait till Harmony actually says something to me about it first before I commit.

The conductor of the Oratorio Society is named Kemuel, and the associate conductor is named Neville?! One of the youth singers is named Jermyn Wong?! The overall concert was all right, I suppose. Lots of Psalms, lots of music - I saw Auntie Catherine around the washroom when I went. When I looked at the program, I saw Libby's name, so I had to tell Vania about it on Facebook. Mom suspiciously wondered why I was online, and asked if my mobile data was off - yes, of course. I did not help her get online during a lull or the intermission, ha ha ha. I got home at 10:15 or so, which is fine.

I went out at 3:10 on a 407 (which luckily picked me up at the sidewalk) for shopping purposes. Decided to go to the Bay to see if they had any halfway affordable camisoles: I lucked into a half-price weekend sale on Core Life camisoles (which I bet Jimmy would like to wear), and so I bought four of them. Some of them had a built-in shelf bra, which I later found out made things more difficult to wear. Ugh!

Went to London Drugs to get Indomie Mi Goreng Chitato chips x5 for Chinese Eric, Speed Stick Glacier deodorant, limited-edition Cheetos Leaves snacks for Canada Day, NEW on-sale Hardbite Pepper Jack chips, an on-sale Tasty Bite pack (Organic Ancient Grains), and Purell hand sanitizer x3. I got home at 4:35 on a 407, which is good. Then I went to London Drugs again at 7 on a 401 to get on-sale Vaseline lotion (big green Aloe Vera / small yellow Dry Skin Repair), and more on-sale Tasty Bite packs x10. (Basmati White Rice x6 / Thai Vegetable Curry / Thai Vegetable Peanut / Coconut Vegetables / Vindaloo) Got home at 7:40 and found out that I don't actually like Kettle Honey Dijon chips AND that my Becel avocado oil margarine expires tomorrow. Brian picked me up at about 9 last night from the hospital's main entrance, but I had to take a gigantic huge detour because the construction had blocked off the sidewalks right by my place AGAIN! (going through the parking lot and then find the sidewalk by the pharmacy and then cross THREE crosswalks to get to the hospital) He had joked that it would be like Little Iraq trying to get to my place, and this was about right. The chill get-together was for Paulo's 27th birthday, so of course I was going to come out and meet him. Things were fine until we tried finding Fremlin, but I eventually called Holly (who doesn't have a buzzer system or an elevator in her apartment building?!) when Brian eventually found it. She said that she was going to throw her keys down to us, probably because she was tired of going up and down the stairs for everyone else!

When Brian finally figured out the front door lock (the one in my building is recalcitrant as well), we went upstairs to Holly's suite. We met Paulo, and said hi to Holly and Darryl. Talked about bartending, gin and tonic, red wine, beers, smoking (always someone's choice), travel (Jordan and Egypt and Australia), the leftover pizza with pepperoni and sausage, online people in the other Discord server, Gastown, awful dates, hyphenated names, feminism, the 407, friends being in abusive relationships, weird names like Jesus Condom, the closed sidewalks around my place, (looking for) work, Long Island Iced Teas, (video) interviews, San Francisco, Montreal, fudge Oreos, and my Korean BBQ Kettle chips. Of course I let Holly keep them! Turns out that Paulo lives two minutes from me, which is always good just in case. I let Brian drop me off at Birchwood instead of Dogwood, but I was still with it enough to figure out where I was since things looked different. Got in at midnight, which is fine. Good times with FREEDOM!

After we had lunch at Kwong Chow and finally took care of the insurance, I did some shopping at the Broadway London Drugs. Bought 400 Mead index cards, store brand all-purpose cleaner, a three-inch Avery binder for my important documents (a definite upgrade!), a red $2 MARTEX washcloth, a GUM toothbrush, and two dark blue $2 GOODY toothbrush covers. Got home at 1:40 to a Purolator notice (ugh), a phone call from Dr. Wise's office, and some other mail, so I had to deal with all of that.

I got a BUDDY THE ELF Christmas card / Tazo Tea x3 (passion herbal tea, vanilla caramel chai, and green ginger tea) / magnetic Fool Moon treasures crow bookmark from Angie H. I also zoomed the default Google Chrome font up from Medium to Large, and zoomed the page zoom on LiveJournal and Wordpress from 110% to 125% since the previous zoom seemed to do nothing on those sites - SO MUCH EASIER TO SEE! NO STRAIN!

I also wasted way too much paper trying to print out the 2018-2019 Canucks schedule in an acceptable format and size (and also folded in half properly), especially with the Chrome update. Note to self: NOTEPAD SETTINGS should be Tahoma, at least size 18, LANDSCAPE printing orientation. DOUBLESPACE everything, too! I also called Chrystal at work at 11:15 to remind her about the Greek food dinner (she can make it!), then Kevin replied to thank me for the reminder. [livejournal.com profile] lilaznffairy421 and I have decided to see if we can reach the maximum number of comments on a post, which is currently set at 5000. (I guess the previous limit of 60,000-something was way too much.. probably caused the servers to crash, burn, and explode!)

We're not members of [livejournal.com profile] _commentwhores, so no worries there. If you want to help us reach that comment limit on this post, go ahead! (I thought of not allowing anyone else to comment, but that didn't promote a spirit of togetherness)

It will be interesting to see how long this takes, so the post will be dated. Whoever first leaves a comment, please date it. If we ever get to 5000 on the post, date the last one if you remember!

Leave any comments you like on any topic, but remember: I have full veto power, and I can delete anything I choose to. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! *evil grin*

By the way: please include a subject line when starting a new thread in the comments section. It makes my job of sifting through emails so much easier. :D
