It's so fitting that I'm listening to Radiohead's KARMA POLICE right now! Carol told CANUCK NATION a minute ago that her racist ex-husband Stuart has just died from his three different kinds of cancer. I'm sorry that she's feeling sad, though. I guess I can take him off my Block List now...

I went to Jon and Harmony's at 2:05 on a 401 with the Charlotte's holiday butter cookies and EMOJI MOVIE Memory Matching cards / Mega Bloks Smash Stunt Zeg truck for Hiero's birthday. We had golden beets, salad with walnuts and other garnishes, cauliflower, potatoes, eggnog, cookies, and other things as part of Christmas dinner while enjoying some low-key family time. We discussed NG things, where Lisa "grew" her mustache for our WhatsApp call with Fraser / Steph / Havarti, new books, sticker decoration, lots of reading (MR. CHATTERBOX / MR. GREEDY / PEANUTS books), and other stuff. I got a Purdy's Chocolate Survival Kit "Survive the Season!" box of assorted chocolate bars from white Eric, and a LOQI lightweight cat reusable bag ("I carry up to 20 kg") / matching cat wallet / Softsoap® Brand Pampered Hands Tangerine Treat foaming hand soap / a Happy Hippy PEACE fragrant soap square from The Happy Hippy Soap Company from Jon and Harmony.

Beckett was largely pretty content just hanging out. I made him play peek-a-boo with himself, which he seemed okay with. He was slightly upset because he'd grown his first two teeth already and wanted to put everything into his mouth. (including my finger, his foot with or without socks, etc.) Hiero wanted to know why the baby was upset, so I told him that Beckett had never experienced that before, which Hiero seemed to accept.

Hiero decorated me with "cool" PEANUTS stickers, lectured me on paper airplane aerodynamics / rudeness, and fought with Ayler over his new truck toy. Harmony said I could call them first if I wanted company post-surgery, and said that they had a bunch of family dinners coming up. No doubt! Hiero showed me the MR. MEN cookie metal lunchbox, so I said that lunchboxes weren't that way when I was a kid since they were made of plastic. His very funny response: "PLASTIC?! YIKES!" HAHAHAHA!

After offering me THE NEW YORKER, Jon drove me to King Edward Station at 8:15 after bathtime and bedtime, and the 407 was actually early, so I got home at 9:15 instead of later. He did ask whether I still kept in touch with Chinese Eric, so I said we were possibly getting together on the 27th. I got home (after wishing the security guard a Merry Christmas) to find a MERRY CHRISTMAS email from the aforementioned Chinese Eric, who said that he can definitely hang out on the 27th - WOO! When I got in, I decided that I might as well do my laundry too while I had the time and was going to be awake anyway.

After COFFEE TIME and some aspirin, I left at 3:30 for my dentist appointment with Sean at 4 today, which was a success! He's going to Colombia to get married?! Later, I hung out at Oakridge Library and Safeway to kill time for a bit until meeting Chrystal for our annual Christmas dinner at 7:30 at the usual London Drugs and intersection. Broadway / Cambie London Drugs, baby! I also mailed cards to Janet (ghost_light) and Angie (auralily), plus a surprise for someone else.

While I was at London Drugs, I bought two bags of Bayco Turkish Delight in Rose and Lemon flavor for the NOSTALGIA, and promptly gave one to Chrystal when she showed up, hahaha. We went to Pho Extreme Xe Lua and discussed all our nephews (Ethan loves baby Benjamin), her mom's Christmas Eve birthday, Uncle Peter and Auntie Ying still being fairly independent, life, watching TV, needing time to yourself after a get-together, Rachel, my eye surgery, meeting her dad at No Frills, her hot pot Christmas family plans, the fire here, and new bakeries. I got home at 9:25 after walking home from Brighouse (at 9:10), which is the time when the 407 bus WOULD have come.

After COFFEE TIME, Barry picked me up at 11:10 so we could go to Dr. Wise's office again at noon. I got home at 1:45 with a prescription for eyedrops and gels (Lotemax Gel (0.5%), Prolensa [0.07% sodium!], Moxifloxacin HCL 0.5%) after a LOT of waiting since Dr. Wise was running "a bit" behind: at least I won't be nearsighted after the surgery! The other eye should match, but later on! (and I'll need new reading glasses then)

I got home to find certain Facebook messages from the usual suspect involving Tommy; okay then, do what you gotta do, but I have complied with the emotionless request which had bad grammar! THE POST WAS FROM JULY 30, AND IT IS NOW NOVEMBER 29! COME ON! I CAN ALSO VENT IF NEED BE! Now I have thrown away the old GIBSON owl coffee mug, Irish Spring bar soap, Softsoap pomegranate and mango liquid soap, yellow LifeCandy shower pouf, Dial Coconut Milk body wash, and the Finesse Extra Body shampoo and conditioner.

I've replaced them with another yellow LifeCandy shower pouf and GIBSON owl coffee mug, the orange Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser rehydration shampoo and conditioner with Marula Oil, Softsoap Vanilla Brown Sugar liquid soap, and the Dial For Men Maximum Moisture body wash. I also had to replace Scotties Lotion Kleenex boxes, my GUM toothbrush, Arm and Hammer toothpaste, GOODY toothbrush cover, and a toilet paper roll anyway. The Canucks played the Knights at 7 tonight, and lost 4-3. Blah!

Once Lucas and Boney have seen Jackie and Bronson at the train station in Chapter 4, they go back to the Tazmily square and see Fassad talking to Wess. "Please be careful not to trip, get hurt, or go bald on your way home."

Then the Pigmask puts a net over Wess, with Jill / Alle / Lisa / Brenda looking on! Wess: "Cease this violence! I'm no bug! I'm an old man!"

Alle, right after this: "They're not above using violence against senior citizens, I see."

Yesterday, Frances C. emailed me to say that she couldn't make it to Felico's because of work, which is fine. I went out at 11:45 on a 401 in hopes of finding sweatpants at H and M, which I found within three minutes, even in my size! Then I went to London Drugs to get on-sale Lindt Excellence chocolate as a birthday present for Eric M. (NEW Pink Peppercorn / NEW Madagascar) and some thin non-slip store brand flocked hangers for my winter coats. When I got home at 1 on a 407, I did some laundry to wash my new sweatpants.

At 4:35, I went out on a 407 to London Drugs to get an on-sale 12-pack of Sharpies, $20 Certified Data compressed air (which I figured out after the clerk showed me how to work the tab and straw), NEW on-sale Loacker Quadratini wafer cookies x2 (Raspberry Yogurt / Blackcurrant), and NEW on-sale Reese Miniatures stuffed with Reese's Pieces. I got home at 5:30 on another 407, so at least I got the relatively expensive stuff out of the way while I still had money in my bank account! Jon dropped off his and Harmony's "old" HP printer at my place at 8:45 this morning since he had to drop the lards off at the airport at 8:30, anyway. He looked at the high amount of dust underneath the computer desk, looked in my fridge, wondered what all those cans were on the floor, and definitely noticed the "museum of noodles" on the couch. His explanation of my needing to practice made sense to me when it came to plugging the square plug into the printer itself.

Random stuff from Mom and Dad: Another silver water mug, 20mL Crest Complete toothpaste with Scope x2 (which expires in May 2019 and can't be opened anyway...), and Carnaby cinnamon hearts which expired on December 17, 2014!

It's Father's Day today. I discovered (old?) mouse turds in the storage box, so had to throw it (and stray lids) out along with all its contents: THE ASSASSIN'S CLOAK, Kleenex boxes, mini-Kleenex, papers, and more! Went out to Shoppers Drug Mart on a 407 at 11:30 to get a shrimp tempura roll for International Sushi Day tomorrow, and on-sale Jack Link's sriracha beef jerky for the London Drugs price. Then I went to London Drugs itself and bought a replacement blue 68L Rubbermaid storage box for the old mouse turd-filled one, NEW Trophy Foods peanuts x3 (Sea Salt and Cracked Black Pepper / Lime and Chili / Jalapeno), Scotch bubble wrap, on-sale Bounty paper towels, mini-packs of Kleenex x3, and on-sale Scotties Kleenex boxes x12. I got the wrong size of Kleenex AGAIN, but I'm not going to bother returning it since I already opened it. Ugh!

At 9 AM, I called the nearby medical clinic to see when their walk-in hours are; they'd changed them in the months since I'd been there last. Now they're on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:30 to 1:30, and are by appointment only; I can live with that for now, so I made one for tomorrow. (I could have had this hearing issue fixed on FRIDAY?!) I went out at 9:45 and promptly just missed a 401 - UGH! Thank goodness that White Spot was still serving breakfast when I finally got there at about 10:15 or so on a 407. I had a Cheesesteak Hash Eggs Benedict, combining National Eggs Benedict Day AND Day of the Mushroom! Then I got unexpectedly on-sale [judging by the receipt] Softsoap body wash x3 (Coconut Oil and Lavender / Honey Creme and Lavender / Blooming Jasmine and Plum) and Excel Polar Ice gum x3 (my old gum got soft and yucky within 1.5 months instead of two-ish...) at Shoppers Drug Mart before walking to London Drugs to get Crunchy Mint / Crunchy Raspberry / Crunchy Espresso M and Ms for Harmony on Thursday. I got home at 11:35 on a 407, then showered and did laundry.

I left at 2:35 for Jon's with the VCS Belgium chocolate seashells, and STILL just managed to get a 401 bus for Brighouse, so I ended up going to Kam Do Bakery for some chocolate cookies. Of course I didn't eat them all on the train - and left them with Jon and Harmony to boot - so that was also fine. I ended up getting to the house at about 3:15 or so, which was surprising. Jon mentioned that I was early; no shit, as I wanted to leave in the relative light! After catching up a bit (talking about Nathan and Frances, mostly), everyone else got up from their nap. We discussed Pocky, roasted vegetables, turkey, rum fruitcake, alcoholic eggnog, Eric Ho and a GUYS NIGHT, Dylan being "Uncle Banjo," a biscuit that said "TEA IS THE GATEWAY DRUG TO BISCUITS," Randal's dad being in the hospital (I gave him a pretty good genuine expression of condolence), St. Paul's, downplaying health issues, explaining Australia's reversed seasons to Ayler, Ayler wanting us to stay longer or overnight, stuffing, O HOLY NIGHT complete with Hiero's banging away on the piano with his "manuscript" (a blank memo pad), Ayler wanting to "cuddle" me so he could go for my Santa hat or white sweater, Hiero wanting to sit on my lap, puzzle pieces, gumballs, and winter break. Ayler thinks he knows more about (school) time than I do, but he seemed to have a good time counting squares on the calendar, too. (after asking why the seashell box said 250!) Hiero can be Victor Borge #2, haha! Mom and Dad drove me home, where I got in at 8:40.

Random stuff from Mom, Dad, and others: A winter-ish dark grey jacket which used to be Grandma's, a Christmas card, $10 in cash, a brown Tahari leather jacket (not as cool as it sounds), a blue polyester Stormtech winter-ish jacket, a dark blue San Francisco winter-ish jacket, a red Roo handbag, a blue Sport Sport handbag, a brown Chinese handbag, a light brown wool toque, blue Thinsulate gloves, a zebra stripe AMAZING GRACE cap, a thin red scarf, a thin leafy dress (?), a brown polyester winter hat, and thin black gloves.

COFFEE TIME! The Canucks played the Penguins at 4 today, and won 5-2! After the game and the latest SCARY MYSTERIES Youtube video upload, I went shopping at London Drugs at 7:05. I got assorted stickers for Fraser (PAW PATROL / BATMAN / FINDING DORY), a musical hockey Christmas card with THE HOCKEY SONG, on-sale assorted Christmas cards from American Greetings (worked out to less than $1 per card... one design has a white cat on the front, so that is definitely going to Jimmy as a Quentin Q reminder!), a birthday card with a cool cat on the front (perhaps as a surprise for Jimmy in March?), more on-sale Moritz Icy Squares for myself, NEW Wild Wild Ranch Paqui Chips for myself, Crème de Pirouline dark chocolate artisan rolled wafers for Chrystal, on-sale Truffettes de France candy cane cocoa truffles for myself, on-sale Ganong Delecto dark chocolate peppermint creams for Eric, and on-sale assorted Elmer Chocolate creams for Jon's family. I left for baby Henry's 100 Day-ish celebration at Western Lake Restaurant at 4 today. I thought that was early, but considering that I had to wait a bit for the 33 bus to 29th Avenue across the street from King Edward Station, that was okay. Thank goodness that Victoria is a major street! When I got to the restaurant, most people were there already, but whatever. I got to sit at a table with Fraser, Lisa, Harmony, Ayler, Hiero, and Steph's trainer plus her family. Of course I said hi to Melia (I didn't know she worked in the Minoru area!), Angus, Dawn, Eni, Michelle, Daniel, Denise, Margaret, Eunice (who hugged me hello), Chelsea (who hugged me goodbye), her husband Nick, Auntie Christine, Uncle Reuben, Uncle Y.C., Auntie Catherine, Auntie May, Auntie Eva, Auntie Gloria, and Uncle Richard! I managed to put my oversized Santa hat on Henry before eating, haha.

We had a ten-course Chinese meal... SO FULL on fish, veggies (pea tips / carrots / broccoli), shrimp, lettuce wraps, duck meat soup (or whatever replaced shark fin soup), crispy duck, chicken, crab, rice, and tapioca dessert! Fraser was distracted by my bling-bling sweater, for which Lisa blessed me. He named all the colors correctly! Hiero said "no" to the question of whether I was a girl, so I guess I'm a boy by default. Could be worse! Harmony offered to drop me off at a Canada Line station later, so I accepted. She also told me to watch Ayler while she took Hiero to the washroom, but he was all preoccupied with counting the squares on a pillar anyway, so I didn't really need to. Of course I said bye to Steph, Lisa, Fraser, and Henry before leaving! Ayler said that SOMETHING was hurting after being buckled into his carseat... good to know, haha. Thanks to Harmony dropping me off half a block from Oakridge Mall with my leftovers, I got home at 8:05 on a 407 which I only had to wait a few minutes for at Brighouse. The Canucks played St. Louis at 7 tonight. I got home when it was the second period, and the game went to overtime, where Vancouver lost 4-3.

I got a baby intro photo card from Steph and Lisa in the mail for baby Henry - very nice! I'm not going to comment on the spelling of "shenanigans," though! Steph said that Shaun did comment on it, haha!

Steph and Fraser called me at about 1:10 PM today, which was at least a fine surprise. Fraser said that he was eating apples and crackers, and could answer "yeah" when prompted to answer my various simple questions about whether he liked the zoo. I said that I would hopefully be having dinner with Chrystal at some point, would go to Jeremy's for that Jacob's Well fundraiser, mentioned that I'd seen a PEPPA THE PIG book at London Drugs (they have a whole set), said that Hiero needs to eat more protein (1.5 tiny mandarin oranges is not really a proper dinner...), said that Ayler now understands the concept of a square root! Steph said that Sandy still had her food truck breakfast business, mentioned that Fraser could definitely go in the pool with help and supervision later in the year (I can see the older kids not paying attention to him!), says that Fraser likes watching the older kids to observe what they do, and had to go when Fraser wondered why Lisa was in the washroom after getting home. At least Fraser seems to be settled in now at his new (smaller) daycare!

From Krista: A dragon in space with a sun flare!

From Dragons and Frenetic Funnies: "That was both disgusting and embarrassing. We breathe fire at our enemies... BREATHE!!!" The red dragon has farted fire at the knight instead, hahaha!

After MORE COFFEE TIME, I went out at 5 (just getting the 401) to see Ayler and Hiero for a while for Ayler's fifth birthday as I'd planned with Harmony yesterday, who said it was sweet of me. I had Hiero's peace sign / ice cream / cupcake / doughnut / SESAME STREET / cats with sunglasses stickers and Ayler's emoji / stars / glow-in-the-dark MARVEL Heroes stickers, dinosaur birthday card, Slinky toy, and pre-historic dinosaur toys. Uncle Joe and Auntie Wing Yee were at the house as advertised, and asked if I was staying for an early and simple dinner of rice / broccoli / meat / water. Sure, why not? Ayler asked "why" questions a lot (like "why did Auntie make that face?" Because I had to sneeze!), and he apparently understands the concept of a square root already if you phrase it correctly! Both Harmony and I do not do math, so he'll have to figure it out some other way! Then he asked, "Why did Grandpa say DIE?" and some other things!

At least both boys seemed to love the Slinky (which is higher than them when stretched out), and took a couple of dinosaur toys to the Jacob's Well concert later on. (which I declined to attend) Hiero wanted me to lift him up from his eating chair after he was done eating a tiny mandarin orange for dinner, so I did that. He gave me a few stickers on my jeans, and Ayler talked a lot about the tunnels and ramps at Marine Drive. Hey, I know those because I went past there on the Skytrain to see everyone! At least I managed to get home at 7:20 on a 407, then talked to Lena on FB chat about special snowflakes and pronouns and edgy disrespect from a "friend"!

From Discord: This made me laugh yesterday. No, "Nephew #2" is NOT what I call my crappy nephew! Hahaha!
