The kids called me at 6:45 to scream-sing a song about (as far as I can tell) licking bums or nicking bums, and asked me inappropriate questions about whether I'd like to see Jon peeing. No, thank you! Then Ayler asked if I would eat a whole pie (which Hiero said they were having for dessert) because of my "big stomach" - mmm, no, I'm not on MY 600-POUND LIFE! Harmony said that was their father's influence - yeah, I can TELL! I said hi to Beckett, who didn't really say anything. but that's okay. It was pretty brief because they just wanted to sing a song, which is fine. Life is as usual over there, I see! I joked that when social distancing is over, I'd buy a pie to throw at their dad just for all these "jokes."

I should have gone to the pharmacy next door YESTERDAY since it looks like they're closed for ALL the Easter long weekend! Some dude wondered if the entire building was closed - looked like it to him when he peered in. Oh well... I left at 1 on a 401, and returned at 2:50 on a 407.

It's NATIONAL GRAMMAR DAY today... MY FAVORITE! Aimee Vanderkarr tried adding one of my alteregos - DENIED!

I had a dream where the London Drugs was being changed into a Shoppers Drug Mart, complete with fences blocking off our access. Beckett came up to me and said, "Beckett comes here every day to eat junk food because it's good, Auntie." (WAY too complicated a sentence for him in his 21-month-old life!) London Drugs also had a great deal on Camelbak water bottles like Fraser's with dinosaurs, advertised as "a good way to get all your water - with a zipper bag for your bottle!" Cordia wanted some Halloween or Christmas Cheetos and shortbread snacks, but we confused her when she went to go through the maze of all the blue milk crates - she went RIGHT PAST all the Santa packs! WTF, subconscious?!

I showered and did laundry today, also needing to buy laundry tokens (September 25, 2019) from Hester. I also finally got her to get the handyman here today or tomorrow, although she claimed not to remember my showing her the phone photo of my bathroom wall. She also thought I was talking about a bathroom MALL or bathroom BALL; the latter only makes sense if you're Beckett currently! The handyman dropped by at 2:20, looked at the wall (which I'd duct-taped last week), and said he'd be back tomorrow. We'll see!

Kpop and SJ from the Vancouver server are not worth my time or energy since their opinions suck. I should just be mod of that entire Discord server. I'd get rid of people like that, and old mods too!

I took in the BO HORVAT CAPTAINCY / 50TH SEASON CEREMONY without any incessant talking, which was a win! The Canucks played the Kings at 7 tonight as a throwback to 1970, and won 8-2! Kirk McLean, Stan Smyl, both Sedins, and Todd Bertuzzi were there, but it was so understandable that Trevor Linden wasn't.

9/19/19 is also a palindrome date! The Canucks played Edmonton tonight at 6 in Preseason Game #4, and won 6-1 with goals from six different players! During the first intermission, I tried making online reservations for the Cactus Club on Saturday, but was thwarted because 7 PM was not an available time, so I had to call and see what was up. Eventually, I figured that we should just walk in and see if we got a table. Apparently, it had to do with party size, but 40% of the tables should still theoretically be free. The online reservations would have been so easy, too!

Hester came by at 12:20, greeting me with "You're home!" when I answered the door. No shit, lady! She inspected the toilet tank personally like she said she would, while I spent five more minutes trying to explain the problem to her in very simple English. Eventually, she agreed that she would replace the flapper, and said that a different handyman would come by after his lunch break ended at 1. Sure, whatever.

He did indeed drop by at 1:15, flushed the toilet multiple times, and of course the toilet tank worked like it should INSTEAD of refusing to fill up after it drained! At least he seemed to know about this phenomenon and tried joking about it. He took a photo for Hester, and told me to call them if it happened again. Trust me, I did at a reasonable time which was not 11:30 PM! Rishu sent me an unexpected email at 3:30 saying that she had cancellations this afternoon, so I could come in earlier than 5:15 if I wanted to. WHAT?! I rushed out of the house at 4:05 to make it by 4:30, went to the Public Market for dinner (and take a photo of cubed pork blood for Mike, mwahahaha), and was home at 7:05 on a 401.

Vanessa says her husband Jason's aunt was involved in this Burnaby car crash yesterday evening, so she had a bad night. :(

She called me at 9:50 AM to let me know how he knew it was her - she was just out to take a walk and never came home, so his cousin went to see what was up and came across the scene. The cars were speeding and she never knew what hit her. Jason came home crying and so she wondered what was up. At the time she called, he was over at his mom's and aunt's place to spend time with them, since he was angry. Of course Vanessa isn't going to the funeral with the baby!

When he called me back at 11 to say that he would be here in a couple of minutes, I checked the corner with the TV since I'd heard noise there as well last night. Yup, there was another dead mouse, this one in a glue trap. Good thing I checked, since Barry was here at 11:10 to remove them!

Dr. Wise's eye clinic called me at 11:40 AM to say that they had a prospective date for my cataract surgery, which they recommended I take: January 10, 2019! (a Thursday) After leaving Barry a message about it AND being interrupted by Hester about insurance, I called Chrystal at noon at work to see if we could have an annual Christmas dinner (Friday, Dec. 21 after my dentist appointment with Sean), while having COFFEE TIME! Now I can plan stuff - SO GOOD!

I went out at 2 on a 414 to see Rachel at The Caring Place, then tested my Big Crazy colander against enoki mushrooms and macaroni simultaneously - EVERYTHING WORKS WITHOUT LOSING FOOD TO THE HOLES! After COFFEE TIME, I left for FYI Doctors at 2:10 in the rain. The 407 bus had to load a wheelchair, which didn't help! As for my appointments and tests, it took TWO HOURS for the testing and looking at the glasses! Also, Josephine Uy - who looks worse and more bent over than the last time I saw her - recognized me at London Drugs.

Insane 5000-Comment Extravaganza (started Monday, May 17 / 2004)

[livejournal.com profile] lilaznffairy421 and I have decided to see if we can reach the maximum number of comments on a post, which is currently set at 5000. (I guess the previous limit of 60,000-something was way too much.. probably caused the servers to crash, burn, and explode!)

We're not members of [livejournal.com profile] _commentwhores, so no worries there. If you want to help us reach that comment limit on this post, go ahead! (I thought of not allowing anyone else to comment, but that didn't promote a spirit of togetherness)

It will be interesting to see how long this takes, so the post will be dated. Whoever first leaves a comment, please date it. If we ever get to 5000 on the post, date the last one if you remember!

Leave any comments you like on any topic, but remember: I have full veto power, and I can delete anything I choose to. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! *evil grin*
