The computer screwed up TWICE this morning when the keyboard AND mouse froze, and my phone and lotion crashed to the floor since everything was all mixed up in the wiring! Texted Eric M. and messaged Andrew M. about it - Andrew said he could come over later today if I liked, so I took that opportunity after checking my existing cash reserves and getting the parking pass ready. Then I showered just in case. He says it might be something called "thermal throttling," and Eric got me to download HWMonitor to check temperatures. Then I showered just in case.

Later on, I got de-modded from Shiwa's server because of Vicky and Fairy. Jan thinks I have issues, but they're not really prominent. I'm not the one picking fights with people! FINE THEN, I WILL JUST NOT CONTRIBUTE ANYTHING THEN! I SHOULD BE PARAMOUNT!

Turns out Andrew M. had a family emergency and was up north in Merritt as of 8:45 PM when I wondered what time he'd come by. I don't mind if he comes by tomorrow in the late morning, of course. MUCH BETTER THAN JIMMY FAKING AN EMERGENCY WITH HIS GRANDMA AND BLOCKING ME FOR TWO WEEKS!

After COFFEE TIME / SHOWER TIME / CLEANING FRIDGE TIME (yucky sticky prune juice!), I went out at 1:30 on a 401 to finally redeem that Pure Nail Bar gift card from Christmas 2019 for a pedicure before going to help with the kids. I thought I'd be on time, but NO... the 3 bus had to be late, a stroller had no idea what to do on the bus, and then there were traffic delays, causing me to be 10 minutes late! At least they didn't have to call me or anything, and it was just after East 13th! It was pretty relaxing, and I got to choose a nail polish color - Shooting Star silver glitter! They had a fancy nail dryer and a fancy pink toe separator!

After I was done at 3:45, I texted Jon and asked whether he was at the park, then went to Save-On to kill time. I should have gone to the park instead since it took him 20 minutes to get back to me saying they were home now. Fine, sure, I'll walk there - not a big deal, of course. Beckett wanted "Didibug!" which Jon asked about - it made sense, but what was it? Hiero drew me a Bat Signal and a lightning bolt, saying I could keep them in my pocket. I pointed out that it would probably fall out of my pocket, so I'll keep them in my wallet's zippered pouch instead! When I got home, I put the Bat Signal / lightning bolt / Cao Starvingbase Noodle HOO! guy in a Ziploc bag for extra protection.

Ayler was blocking Beckett's access to the piano because Beckett would try to play it, and wanted to know if the real Dean could stay later to play "quiet soccer" while Jon taught his sister Lily. I told Dean that he must be special to Beckett - every time someone comes over, Beckett thinks it's Dean! HAHAHA! "Dean! Dean! Dean!" When Harmony got home, she mentioned she was late because the pipeline protesters had been blocking UBC today - UGH! Then she saw silverfish in the bathroom, in her clothes! YUCK! I told her about the time that I had seen one CRAWLING ON MY COMPUTER DESK in summer 2017 - EW! Beckett wanted to say hi to Kayla, and of course was interested in her guitar and the rest of the students.

Jon gave me a tea rag to wipe Beckett's nose with. He's learned "NO!" and uses it frequently! I watched him knock over Jon's violin while he was teaching Willie, and Jon said "NO, BECKETT." A kid named Ethan came for a piano lesson, and his mom stayed in the room. Beckett was very interested in her phone! Ethan asked what I was doing there, so I said that was a good question - what did HE think? Jon answered when he didn't have a response. I read the rest of the DOG MAN book to Hiero, who then wanted to draw Dog Man while Dean and Ayler transitioned to quieter origami.

We had pozole with hominy / chips / Greek yogurt / choy for dinner, plus an almond croissant. Beckett wanted to climb up on the couch and needed my help to sit / stand on the white chair. He picked up the word "funny" and the corresponding grin expression. "FUNNY! OPEN! Block! Magnet! Frog!" Of course he got upset when Ayler stole his stuff... I told Hiero that he had just touched the nose-wiping cloth with Beckett's germs ALL OVER it, so Hiero went by himself to wash his hands quickly! Beckett also showed me where my own eyes / nose / mouth / ears were, with the correct words. He wanted to show me his orange half-shell, so he said "shell" - pretty good!

I left at 7:45, amazingly in enough time to catch the 7:55 3 bus that went to the station. However, I wouldn't get home in time for the second period, because there was an electric scooter that took a minute or so to adjust herself in the bus. She didn't deserve a guilt trip or anything, so I was outwardly patient. Then on the Canada Line at Aberdeen, there was an obstreperous guy who wouldn't get off the train until threatened with the cops by the female attendants! Everyone was craning their necks to look - some old man asked if I was going to save him. Fuck, no! I'll watch from safety! I FINALLY got home at 9:10 during the second intermission. The Canucks played the Coyotes tonight at 7:30, and lost 4-2 thanks to an empty-net goal from behind the Arizona net ALL the way to the other end of the ice.

After I had DOUBLE COFFEE TIME, the handyman came by at 11:30 to install the brand-new toilet float valve - YES! I don't care if it takes 90 seconds to fully refill the toilet (tank) now, because at least it works! Better than Hester lecturing me about "flush the toilet tenderly and not with a boom boom boom"... whatever THAT means!

Barry picked me up at 12 and we went banking and to Price Smart. I got All-Dressed / Salt and Vinegar / BBQ / Ranch Crispers, on-sale Silk almond milk / chocolate milk, JOY dumplings x5, Dare Foods Limited chocolate cookie chips, on-sale Cottonelle toilet paper x2, Campbell's mushroom soup x5, NEW Miss Vickie's Signatures chips (Hickory Smoked Salt), on-sale Stouffer's microwaveable meals x2 (Chicken Alfredo / Homestyle Pot Roast), and on-sale Western Family frozen vegetables.

Also bought an on-sale Gizella Pastry assorted cheesecake (mango / New York / strawberry / blueberry), Western Family dill pickle chips, Western Family ripple chips, mini Chantilly Choux cream puffs (POPPIES!), NEW Activia strawberry / vanilla / peach yogurts, and NEW on-sale Ben and Jerry's Salted Caramel Almond ice cream. After that, I paid my Shaw and hydro bills online when I got home at 1:15. EARLY! I also managed to go to the dumpster and throw out the light Sunbeam toaster oven which I haven't used for the year I've had it, AND was taking up counter space in the kitchen. Suck on THAT, Hester! :P

Then I went to London Drugs at 7:05 on a 401 to get NEW on-sale Hazelnut M and Ms, on-sale Almond M and Ms, a green tea Kit Kat, NEW Cadbury Curly Wurly chocolate, on-sale Häagen-Dazs coffee ice cream, and 400 Mead index cards before returning home on the same 401 at 7:25. The bus driver said that I'd been fast - yes, I like bus efficiency AND ice cream not melting when it's humid outside! When I got in, my phone "ding=donged" at me - turned out to be Corey on LINE. Just in time for a daily update! Before Paulo came over to pick up his stuff four minutes ago, I took a shower today. I gave Paulo his All-Bran Buds portion in a Rubbermaid microwaveable container (plus the packaging for that), one pack of Kwangchun Healthful roasted seaweed, some Mala Samyang noodles, regular Samyang Fire noodles, MyKuali spicy prawn Penang noodles, MyKuali spicy white curry Penang noodles, MyKuali Red Tom Yum Goong noodles, Sapporo Ichiban Tonkotsu ramen noodles, Vedan Bah Kut tea noodles, Vedan mushroom and artificial cuttlefish noodles, Vedan spicy Korean kimchi noodles, Vedan spicy mushroom noodles, Samyang Carbo Cheese noodles, Samyang Spicy Cheese noodles, and Paldo Korean Bul Jjamppong noodles - all in the LOQI reusable bag with cats on it that Jon and Harmony gave me for Christmas last year. I have tested it out; it's just not as roomy as the ones from London Drugs!

He was pretty excited, dancing around like a little kid! Yes, we both forgot about opening the Winter Creek oyster jar until he'd left, but I was luckily able to grab him before he had exited the building! He apologized for the lateness of the intrusion, but it's fine. LUCKILY, it was BEFORE midnight and I wasn't talking to Mike at the time. I finally got home at 5:55 on a 407, and had noticed several old ladies with SECURED shopping carts, so futzed around a little until I found the Velcro closure on mine at the end. SUCCESS! After COFFEE TIME, I had to go out at 4:10 on a 407 for a Kwong Chow dinner. Since I was out anyway, I bought three pairs of London Naturals foam scour sponges, a Snapple half and half iced tea / lemonade for aspirin purposes, and a bag of 20 KitKat chocolate mini-bars for National Chocolate Day for Ayler and Hiero at London Drugs. We had fish congee, spicy tofu triangles, a different kind of Chinese fish, pork intestines with pickled vegetables, green beans with spicy beef, half a chicken, and tomato fried rice with red sauce / white sauce / shrimp / pork for dinner. Ayler tried his first pork intestine since he was curious about them, and chewed through half of it before deciding he didn't like them that much. Hiero didn't want to try one at all.

Beckett was in a high chair and screaming happily. He was being shielded from the "evil" TV, and the family made care plans for this week. The boys seemed to like their Seattle trip, even if one of them dumped a plastic dinosaur down the toilet this morning at the AirBnB! They told us about the monorail, the water table at the Children's Museum, the chocolate shop, the $25 per person baseball game with hot dogs, Pike Place Market being really crowded, and more. Seemed like a fun trip for sure! The kids wanted to race on our way to their house, but that wasn't a good idea right after dinner! I apparently have to wait for the lards' call on Wednesday morning - no melatonin the night before, PLUS coffee and the phone on then, before going to Aberdeen and Parker Place!

I finally got home at 8:05 on a 401, and no, I did NOT want to be dropped off at 49th instead of 41st simply because it was easier for Mom. Even Dad was annoyed! Mom also wants to NOT pay for three pairs of reading glasses instead of "just two since it would be too expensive" - if she balks at that, I'm sure she's not going to like the cost of any proposed Invisalign! Sorry, Sean...

After COFFEE TIME, a German Shaw technician came by at 11:35 AM with a replacement cable box / new PVR box / new remote control / new modem / advice. (calling my HOME number 15 minutes beforehand to see whether I was home... WHAT DO YOU THINK?!) When he left at 12:15 after also setting up my wi-fi network on my cellphone, I took a much-needed shower and did some much-needed laundry!

In the evening, Dylan came by at 6:55 PM to help me buy a new microwave at London Drugs. He did call me first at 6:25 to advise me that he was at Walmart doing some stuff, then would come by here. We talked about his Great Value red curry chips, Declan and Elysse's swimming lessons, NOT defrosting meat in the microwave because it won't cook evenly and will be all frozen in the middle ("SEE?! NO ONE BELIEVES ME!"), his stressful day at work, parking, and the heavy bulky stuff. Came back home at 7:30 after I selected a new black RCA 1.1 cubic foot microwave oven for $99.99 plus tax (so about $117.60) - yes, that was definitely going on my savings account! Good thing I checked my bank balances BEFORE going out - that Panasonic inverter microwave from Robert was at least twice the price from Robert. I know why Mike insisted on it - because of his own image problems!

Then I heard that the St. Louis Blues had won the 2019 Stanley Cup against the nasty Bruins! Makes me feel better about 2011, for sure! I told Paulo to bookmark these microwave oven cooking conversion charts as well. He was at the gym, but came by at 9:35 to pick up the Danby Designers 700-watt microwave. Yes, having a free backup is nice, but I like to pay favors forward when I can. It just rarely happens in two and a half hours! Like I had thanked Dylan, Paulo thanked me - it's a cycle! :D

After COFFEE TIME, Eric Ho called to confirm the time he was coming over to watch a lot of hockey, so I had to take a shower! I had the parking pass, bottled water, the Lindt caramel Easter eggs, Lindt Blueberries and Cream / Strawberries and Cream / Milk and White Spring Edition chocolate truffles, the Russell Stover praline chocolates assortment, the Laura Secord peanut-free chocolate assortment, and the Kit-Kat Senses hazelnut chocolate assortment ready for him in a huge Ziploc bag, plus smaller ones as appropriate. That was in a Price Smart plastic bag since I also had Ferrero Rocher hazelnut Easter eggs and Easter Egg Oreo cookies for him. Yes, of course we could have Deb's frozen Great Value All-Beef meat lasagna for dinner, plus a lot of snacks! I also got him to help open my eyedrops and buy me some heavy bottled water (a 24-pack for the rounded-down price of $5) while he was out anyway, and all I had to do was text him my Price Smart card number and address. Phew!

He got here at 3:25 and quickly settled in to watch some Blue Jays baseball. Yes, he definitely thanked me for all the stuff mentioned above! We talked about Korean LEAGUE OF LEGENDS players, always being online, Steph, the Habs and the playoffs, ARE YOU SHUTTING ME?, the Mi Goreng chips (which he thinks are "wicked"), Winnipeg Jets playing the Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators playing the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Canadian dollar falling. Also spoke on Jim Hughson, CBC After Hours (Markstrom / Josh Leivo / Tyler Seguin), Sportspage, Sportsnet Pacific, ownership, excitement, my being able to text him at any time for things like heavy bottled water, Facebook tagging (which he's cool with), my online hockey fan friends (don't remind me of Jimmy...), Quinn Hughes, April Fool's Day (ugh), and opening the living room window. I'm well aware that he thinks my apartment is too warm!

Conversed about the ENDLESS CONSTRUCTION ZONE and closures around here, Google, pay-per-view Canucks games, Hockey Night in Canada / Hockey Day in Canada, the Whitecaps soccer game and the origins of the Southsiders nickname, long-range planning for his birthday (a Thursday - he enjoyed hanging out with me and white Eric last year at Boston Pizza) and Christon's wedding at the Blundell Church / the nearby Kirin, and HOCKEYVILLE. Discussed my new Reddit friends, his lupus making him overheat easily (he's already transitioned to a Toronto Blue Jays T-shirt and wondered if my DRAGON HOODIE was too hot for me - NOPE!), the Korean BBQ chips, the Salsitas, his ranting, bumping into "whoever" (Mike - don't be so vague!), Trudeau, "injury time / stoppage time" in soccer (where they add on time to the game based on injury recovery time DURING the game - can't imagine that in hockey or football), the old days going to Nathan's basement, "ineptitude" being a "big word" for 9:35 at night, his doing the dishes, and his liking to hang out with me. The Canucks played the Stars at 7 tonight... the game went to overtime plus a shootout, and Vancouver won 3-2! At least Eric Ho could go home happy, but he didn't like that the shootout went so long because he has to work tomorrow.

I like these hangouts from the point of view of updated blogging and not having to wait till I go home to start. YAY! Now I just need to relax from constant talking and vagueness!

We STILL had to wait and he left at 11:35, and I was finally called in at 12:15 or so. It's a strange sensation being wheeled on a hospital bed! The needle went fine, the surgery went well, and I talked to Dr. Wise a bit before and after. Tomorrow at noon sounds very doable especially since Barry will drive me instead of my parents!

From Julie: Mike is obviously fine, but CALEA?! Bad spelling of Kaili or Kaylee! How about Armani?!

THREE DRAGO FANGS! By inputting the MOTHER 3 Code cheat 0200429F:AF, you can modify Duster's 16th item to be Flint's Drago Fang. I hacked it into his inventory, and tried "using" it. The game says, "This isn't the time to use that." Hahaha! I wondered if I could just give these three Drago Fangs to the Item Guy in Chapter 4 later on… so I hacked two Drago Fangs into Lucas’s inventory (Code cheat 02004233:AF), AND I COULD! NO MORE ENCUMBRANCES!

From Jazmin and Neatorama: The Toilet Kool Koozie! Are you looking for a polite way to tell someone that you do not approve of their choice of canned beverage? You need the Toilet Kool Koozie from the NeatoShop. This reusable and easy-to-clean drink holder makes it perfectly clear that you think their beverage tastes like toilet water or perhaps something that you would deposit into the toilet, Isn't being kind of nice fun?

Jimmy told me today that he was planning on coming to the Vancouver area after going to Fort St. John up north to see Milan next May (ugh), so I said to let me know if he definitely does that. He says he is definitely planning on exploring Vancouver, so I guess I'll see on that one! I'm just glad that we seem to have a workable friendship!
