COFFEE TIME! I showered and did laundry today, like the red dragon hoodie with white flecks from Steph's laundry detergent OR leaving it in the washing machine for days, AND Jon's socks which Harmony loaned me - the hoodie now looks awesome again, thanks to white vinegar! I called Chrystal at work at 3:15, and 7:30 on the 24th sounds like a great time to catch her up on my trip! The Canucks played the Panthers today at 4, and lost 5-2. Eric can give me a ride to church and UBC on the 19th for Hiero's party, thank goodness! His hockey is at UBC, so I'm glad I remembered that little detail. Rishu also wants to reschedule tomorrow's appointment since she's sick - fine by me, since I don't particularly feel like busing in the potential snow!

I called Dr. Wise's office at 11:15 because I'd run out of the Prolensa and Simbrinza eyedrops, and I'm starting to really feel a difference. I had to rest today because my eyes felt really weird like they did right after surgery. Luckily, I could pick them up this afternoon (being a Friday) before they closed at 4. I got there at 2:10 or so, and even got them to open ALL the ridiculously tiny eyedrops bottles x4 for me! PHEW!

On my way home, I just missed a Brighouse train from Yaletown-Roundhouse (where I FINALLY found the elevator to bypass the stairs), so I took a Waterfront train to stay on there so I could go to Broadway Station. I went to No Frills where I was confused by the self-checkout machine, which is nothing new. At least I got help! Bought three pounds of Parkay margarine (which I haven't bought since April 25, 2018?!) and President's Choice Kettle-Cooked Jalapeno chips. I stopped by the pharmacy next door after getting off a 401 at 3:40, and also refilled my birth control pills prescription. Everything is done - YAY!

Then Eric Ho FINALLY emailed me back to say that he's glad my eye surgery and recovery are going well, and we can get together around February 26 or a little later. Does he not know what an expiry date or deadline for the Boston Pizza Online offer is?! I want my free Bandera Pizza Bread, dammit! I'll just splurge and order delivery tonight since I somehow have more extra money in my bank account... I don't trust him to not come over before the offer expires. I eventually settled on a medium BBQ chicken pizza (which I haven't had since September 2016), a medium Meateor pizza for 50% off (which I haven't had since the last time I had pizza in August 2018 for Chinese Eric's birthday), and my free Bandera Pizza Bread with dips and cheese. There goes $57!

Before COFFEE TIME at noon, I called Chrystal at 11:55 at work to confirm that we were still on for tonight at 7:30. After MORE COFFEE TIME at 5:30, I left at 6:55 in order to meet Chrystal at the Broadway London Drugs at 7:30 in the rain. I had the Ziploc bag full of Canadian maple syrup candies / Gusto Caffé candies / Mastic mints, the scary Halloween candy (ScAero / Scaries / Coffin Crisp / Ghostly Kit-Kat), her Christmas card, a LOT of extra candy, hot chocolate, and her Crème de Pirouline dark chocolate artisan rolled wafers. That grew so out of control that I had to get a spare tote bag for everything instead of a mere light plastic bag! It was pretty heavy, but I managed! Chrystal got there at 7:45 and tried telling me that she really couldn't take all of that, but I managed to convince her with the power of an NG LOOK before we went to Pho Extreme!

She thanked me profusely (saying I was very generous) and was amazed at how I'd managed to take all that from home. Eh, it was only a half hour's trip at most, and I made liberal use of the ground / floor to rest it on, haha! (and the wheeled basket once I got into the store) We talked about the holidays, hot pot, Emily / Mike / Ethan / Melia / Angus / Owen / Mackenzie / Ayler (who wants to spend more time with me!) / Hiero / Fraser / Henry, toddler quirkiness, saying "fuck" for "fork," the siblings fighting, the photos of the kids which I'd brought along, Yaohan / Big Crazy, paying cash, steak / tripe / spicy things, sharing all her goodies with people, plans for the year, floods, her admin work being less busy these days, rides being a good thing, and spam emails. I got home at 9:25 on a 407, which is about the time I was expecting. Good to catch up and unload a bunch of stuff, for sure! Now someone is asking me what tripe tastes like - I DON'T KNOW! It's just tripe to me - very chewy, of course.

2017 Year In Review!

I was going to go out today, but there's still too much snow around Richmond! I went out at 4:25 to do some shopping at London Drugs: lots of chips! I dreamed that a bunch of us were going around in mine carts to see Vernon and Joe Yu. Steph sent me an email saying that Fraser was playing with his toy phone at 7:30 their time; she asked who he wanted to call, and he said "A-ma"... CUTE! At 12:35, I called Chrystal to see when a good time would be for us to get together this month. I went out at 2:40 to get more on-sale President's Choice Blue Menu Six Bean Medley cans at Shoppers Drug Mart as long as they're still 99 cents!

I went out at 2:30 to catch the next 401 and hopefully check out the Steveston Salmon Festival / Richmond all-day street party at Steveston Village. I went out at 1:10 to London Drugs so I could mail a card and stickers to Fraser EARLY for his second birthday, and bought a small Jersey Milk chocolate bar / Ragusa Noir dark chocolate bars x2 for me and Eric Ho / on-sale Lindt Fudge Swirl chocolate truffles. I went out to Richmond Centre at 11:30 to see if I could get relatively inexpensive new shoes from Payless. I tried opening an Arm and Hammer toothpaste tube today, and it COULD NOT BE OPENED, so I threw it out! I went shopping at 3:55 today after COFFEE TIME: I was planning to get a sandwich, discount Halloween chocolate, and some sensitive toothpaste. I went shopping at 4:15 in the rainy weather on a 401 today at London Drugs for a 4th birthday card for Hiero (cupcakes!), on-sale Arm and Hammer laundry detergent (a 50-load bottle!), 200 index cards, and some big Ziploc bags x2 for a total of 40.

I went out at 10:30 this morning on a 401 and mailed Christmas cards / Vancouver postcards / various stickers to Steph / Lisa / Fraser / Henry / Havarti, Paul Classy, Shiv in Germany, Mandy B. (dazzamre), Julie (julie709), Kitty (

bornwitch / dutch_kitty), Kelli (neonrose5), Mandy B. (dazzamre), Corey (dwcorey), and Jimmy... that cost $16.91! Vancouver trams, Canadian grey wolves, BC Place, Gastown steam clock, RCMP officer on a horse, moose / squirrels / grizzly bears / Bighorn sheep, Science World, aerial map with orca whale / Canadian provinces and territories, Stanley Park totem poles, Harbour Centre and Canada Place, Coal Harbour and Stanley Park, Canadian Rockies grizzly bear, False Creek and Granville Street Bridge, and a downtown Vancouver panorama! I also bought new size 10 Jockey underwear at the Bay... luckily for me, it was on sale! Barry saw me on my way to the bus stop, and honked - I had to go around to the car's window in order to recognize him! I got home at 11:35 on a 407, which is fine. More time to do stuff for me!
