9/19/19 is also a palindrome date! It's Talk Like A Pirate Day today! Since Rishu wanted to change our appointment to a phone call because she's sick (which worked for the hockey schedule and my not rushing to make it home in time), I went out at 12:30 on a 401 and went to Boston Pizza to redeem my free birthday dessert offer.

NEW Bourbon BBQ Chicken pizza and Chocolate Explosion Cheesecake it was! I got home at 2:35 on a 401, thanks to just missing an early 407. Luke, Violet Faith, Flaps, and Jimbo said no to Saturday. Rishu called at 4:25 from a blocked number, and that went fine.

Free birthday dessert: Chocolate Explosion Cheesecake! I was Asian about it and ordered the most expensive thing on the menu. Creamy chocolate mousse with chunks of cheesecake, caramel, toffee, pecans, and almonds on a chocolate crust.

From Julie M. and Only in Canada Memes: No Name is the gem of Canada. Every product is so unbelievably ominous, I really laugh my ass off every time I go shopping.

I called Dr. Wise's office at 11:15 because I'd run out of the Prolensa and Simbrinza eyedrops, and I'm starting to really feel a difference. I had to rest today because my eyes felt really weird like they did right after surgery. Luckily, I could pick them up this afternoon (being a Friday) before they closed at 4. I got there at 2:10 or so, and even got them to open ALL the ridiculously tiny eyedrops bottles x4 for me! PHEW!

On my way home, I just missed a Brighouse train from Yaletown-Roundhouse (where I FINALLY found the elevator to bypass the stairs), so I took a Waterfront train to stay on there so I could go to Broadway Station. I went to No Frills where I was confused by the self-checkout machine, which is nothing new. At least I got help! Bought three pounds of Parkay margarine (which I haven't bought since April 25, 2018?!) and President's Choice Kettle-Cooked Jalapeno chips. I stopped by the pharmacy next door after getting off a 401 at 3:40, and also refilled my birth control pills prescription. Everything is done - YAY!

Then Eric Ho FINALLY emailed me back to say that he's glad my eye surgery and recovery are going well, and we can get together around February 26 or a little later. Does he not know what an expiry date or deadline for the Boston Pizza Online offer is?! I want my free Bandera Pizza Bread, dammit! I'll just splurge and order delivery tonight since I somehow have more extra money in my bank account... I don't trust him to not come over before the offer expires. I eventually settled on a medium BBQ chicken pizza (which I haven't had since September 2016), a medium Meateor pizza for 50% off (which I haven't had since the last time I had pizza in August 2018 for Chinese Eric's birthday), and my free Bandera Pizza Bread with dips and cheese. There goes $57!

After specifying a more narrow time range through email this morning (and after my COFFEE TIME AND NOODLE TIME), Eric came over at 12:55 to check out my computer and microphone, saying that the hallway smelled like Chinese takeout. He tested the sound and tried looking things up to fix my Discord scrolling issue. The scrolling worked on Firefox, but it also blinked every few seconds. Not ideal, but at least I confirmed that Twitch streams will work on Firefox. (it happened to be HS's DRAGON WARRIOR randomizer) Apparently, my mic was from 1996 or so... wow. After going to a bunch of different websites - Amazon, Reddit, London Drugs, Memory Express, Best Buy, etc. - I asked (instead of assuming) whether he had time to go to Best Buy today and then come back and test whatever new microphone I ended up getting.

He did, so we were in and out of Best Buy at Lansdowne in five minutes. Pretty good for the weekend! We also saw a DOLAR SHOP hot pot place - interesting! Eric said that the parking pass was an annoying procedure, which is true. He also blew out my system with a can of compressed air. We came back and tested the brand new INSIGNIA computer microphone, and enabled Voice Activity on Discord, which fixed my microphone issues there. (I tested it with Luna to see if she could hear me) While he was leaving at 3:35, it smelled like oranges, but that was because he was eating one. I also asked him to let me know if he asked Kieran about an operating system upgrade, which he seemed fine with as well. Of course I thanked him for everything! I also noticed that William unfriended me... okay then, former Awana kid!

I headed out at 4:35 to the Boston Pizza $5 individual pizza deal event, where I got a Meateor individual pizza with some ice water. Then I went to Price Smart for on-sale Good Taste dumplings (Chicken / Cabbage and Cabbage / Pork), Campbell's cream of mushroom soup x3, and Huy Fong rooster sriracha since the Uni-Eagle sriracha isn't doing it for me. I looked at the available Cup-A-Soup boxes, but they didn't have any four-packs. At the checkout, I called out some lady for putting her unwanted items at the end of the conveyor belt right where I was going to put MY items! I said that I was not going to buy her shit by mistake, and she said "What?!" I merely stared at her and repeated myself, noting that she had way more than 10 items, including four balloons and a whole chicken. After I finally got out of there, I walked to London Drugs for a more relaxed shopping experience. I got Arm and Hammer whitening toothpaste and two boxes of chicken noodle Cup-A-Soup before finally getting home at 6:25 on a 401 since I didn't want the ice on the dumplings to melt.
