My computer gave me a heart attack this morning when both the keyboard and mouse weren't responsive. I had to restart the thing! THEN it happened again this evening, of course right when I had stuff going in Notepad! I figure that Eric has to come over here and update the computer drivers, so texted him about it. It is difficult to diagnose a problem over text messages, for sure!

Edit at 10:30 PM - Now I have to do laundry because there was a flood of water all over my bathroom floor after I took a shower! Did I piss off Poisedon, too?! I probably need to get a new shower curtain anyway...

Since Luke and Flaps were talking in Spanish in sober Discord, I decided to ask them to do Mom's Spanish translation if she ever forwarded it to me! If it's so urgent, she should have forwarded it earlier today, so I messaged Jon to see what was up with that. Turns out Mom took "forward us" to mean just Jon and Harmony. At least Luke did it in almost no time at all, for which I thanked him. Mom doesn't need to know that a friend I met through the Internet did it, ha ha ha! I had Pete as backup, too.

I called Dr. Wise's office at 11:15 because I'd run out of the Prolensa and Simbrinza eyedrops, and I'm starting to really feel a difference. I had to rest today because my eyes felt really weird like they did right after surgery. Luckily, I could pick them up this afternoon (being a Friday) before they closed at 4. I got there at 2:10 or so, and even got them to open ALL the ridiculously tiny eyedrops bottles x4 for me! PHEW!

On my way home, I just missed a Brighouse train from Yaletown-Roundhouse (where I FINALLY found the elevator to bypass the stairs), so I took a Waterfront train to stay on there so I could go to Broadway Station. I went to No Frills where I was confused by the self-checkout machine, which is nothing new. At least I got help! Bought three pounds of Parkay margarine (which I haven't bought since April 25, 2018?!) and President's Choice Kettle-Cooked Jalapeno chips. I stopped by the pharmacy next door after getting off a 401 at 3:40, and also refilled my birth control pills prescription. Everything is done - YAY!

Then Eric Ho FINALLY emailed me back to say that he's glad my eye surgery and recovery are going well, and we can get together around February 26 or a little later. Does he not know what an expiry date or deadline for the Boston Pizza Online offer is?! I want my free Bandera Pizza Bread, dammit! I'll just splurge and order delivery tonight since I somehow have more extra money in my bank account... I don't trust him to not come over before the offer expires. I eventually settled on a medium BBQ chicken pizza (which I haven't had since September 2016), a medium Meateor pizza for 50% off (which I haven't had since the last time I had pizza in August 2018 for Chinese Eric's birthday), and my free Bandera Pizza Bread with dips and cheese. There goes $57!

I went out at 9:30 on a 401 to meet Mom and Dad at Main and 15th at TXL Insurance, Uncle William Ng's company. (10:30 AM?!) After we had lunch at Kwong Chow and finally took care of the insurance, I did some shopping at the Broadway London Drugs. Bought 400 Mead index cards, store brand all-purpose cleaner, a three-inch Avery binder for my important documents (a definite upgrade!), a red $2 MARTEX washcloth, a GUM toothbrush, and two dark blue $2 GOODY toothbrush covers. Got home at 1:40 to a Purolator notice (ugh), a phone call from Dr. Wise's office, and some other mail, so I had to deal with all of that.

I got a BUDDY THE ELF Christmas card / Tazo Tea x3 (passion herbal tea, vanilla caramel chai, and green ginger tea) / magnetic Fool Moon treasures crow bookmark from Angie H. (auralily) and a Ringo the dog Christmas card from Kitty (bornwitch / dutch_kitty) in the mail. Then after calling Dr. Wise's office back, I GOT MY SURGERY TIME! 11:45 at Mount St. Joseph's isn't TERRIBLE! After letting Barry know about the surgery date and then fielding an inconvenient phone call from Mom (I was going to go out before it got dark!), I trekked near YVR on Jericho Road to get to the Purolator via YVR Airport Canada Line, placing myself nearer the airport than I'd intended today, as I told Corey when I got back. Dr. Wise's eye clinic called me at 11:40 AM to say that they had a prospective date for my cataract surgery, which they recommended I take: January 10, 2019! (a Thursday) After leaving Barry a message about it AND being interrupted by Hester about insurance, I called Chrystal at noon at work to see if we could have an annual Christmas dinner (Friday, Dec. 21 after my dentist appointment with Sean), while having COFFEE TIME! Now I can plan stuff - SO GOOD!

I went out at 2 on a 414 to see Rachel at The Caring Place, then tested my Big Crazy colander against enoki mushrooms and macaroni simultaneously - EVERYTHING WORKS WITHOUT LOSING FOOD TO THE HOLES! YAY! The Canucks played Los Angeles at 7 tonight; the game went to overtime, and the Kings won 2-1.
