The kids called me at 6:45 to scream-sing a song about (as far as I can tell) licking bums or nicking bums, and asked me inappropriate questions about whether I'd like to see Jon peeing. No, thank you! Then Ayler asked if I would eat a whole pie (which Hiero said they were having for dessert) because of my "big stomach" - mmm, no, I'm not on MY 600-POUND LIFE! Harmony said that was their father's influence - yeah, I can TELL! I said hi to Beckett, who didn't really say anything. but that's okay. It was pretty brief because they just wanted to sing a song, which is fine. Life is as usual over there, I see! I joked that when social distancing is over, I'd buy a pie to throw at their dad just for all these "jokes."

After COFFEE TIME / SHOWER TIME / CLEANING FRIDGE TIME (yucky sticky prune juice!), I went out at 1:30 on a 401 to finally redeem that Pure Nail Bar gift card from Christmas 2019 for a pedicure before going to help with the kids. I thought I'd be on time, but NO... the 3 bus had to be late, a stroller had no idea what to do on the bus, and then there were traffic delays, causing me to be 10 minutes late! At least they didn't have to call me or anything, and it was just after East 13th! It was pretty relaxing, and I got to choose a nail polish color - Shooting Star silver glitter! They had a fancy nail dryer and a fancy pink toe separator!

After I was done at 3:45, I texted Jon and asked whether he was at the park, then went to Save-On to kill time. I should have gone to the park instead since it took him 20 minutes to get back to me saying they were home now. Fine, sure, I'll walk there - not a big deal, of course. Beckett wanted "Didibug!" which Jon asked about - it made sense, but what was it? Hiero drew me a Bat Signal and a lightning bolt, saying I could keep them in my pocket. I pointed out that it would probably fall out of my pocket, so I'll keep them in my wallet's zippered pouch instead! When I got home, I put the Bat Signal / lightning bolt / Cao Starvingbase Noodle HOO! guy in a Ziploc bag for extra protection.

Ayler was blocking Beckett's access to the piano because Beckett would try to play it, and wanted to know if the real Dean could stay later to play "quiet soccer" while Jon taught his sister Lily. I told Dean that he must be special to Beckett - every time someone comes over, Beckett thinks it's Dean! HAHAHA! "Dean! Dean! Dean!" When Harmony got home, she mentioned she was late because the pipeline protesters had been blocking UBC today - UGH! Then she saw silverfish in the bathroom, in her clothes! YUCK! I told her about the time that I had seen one CRAWLING ON MY COMPUTER DESK in summer 2017 - EW! Beckett wanted to say hi to Kayla, and of course was interested in her guitar and the rest of the students.

Jon gave me a tea rag to wipe Beckett's nose with. He's learned "NO!" and uses it frequently! I watched him knock over Jon's violin while he was teaching Willie, and Jon said "NO, BECKETT." A kid named Ethan came for a piano lesson, and his mom stayed in the room. Beckett was very interested in her phone! Ethan asked what I was doing there, so I said that was a good question - what did HE think? Jon answered when he didn't have a response. I read the rest of the DOG MAN book to Hiero, who then wanted to draw Dog Man while Dean and Ayler transitioned to quieter origami.

We had pozole with hominy / chips / Greek yogurt / choy for dinner, plus an almond croissant. Beckett wanted to climb up on the couch and needed my help to sit / stand on the white chair. He picked up the word "funny" and the corresponding grin expression. "FUNNY! OPEN! Block! Magnet! Frog!" Of course he got upset when Ayler stole his stuff... I told Hiero that he had just touched the nose-wiping cloth with Beckett's germs ALL OVER it, so Hiero went by himself to wash his hands quickly! Beckett also showed me where my own eyes / nose / mouth / ears were, with the correct words. He wanted to show me his orange half-shell, so he said "shell" - pretty good!

I left at 7:45, amazingly in enough time to catch the 7:55 3 bus that went to the station. However, I wouldn't get home in time for the second period, because there was an electric scooter that took a minute or so to adjust herself in the bus. She didn't deserve a guilt trip or anything, so I was outwardly patient. Then on the Canada Line at Aberdeen, there was an obstreperous guy who wouldn't get off the train until threatened with the cops by the female attendants! Everyone was craning their necks to look - some old man asked if I was going to save him. Fuck, no! I'll watch from safety! I FINALLY got home at 9:10 during the second intermission. The Canucks played the Coyotes tonight at 7:30, and lost 4-2 thanks to an empty-net goal from behind the Arizona net ALL the way to the other end of the ice.

It's NATIONAL GRAMMAR DAY today... MY FAVORITE! Aimee Vanderkarr tried adding one of my alteregos - DENIED!

I had a dream where the London Drugs was being changed into a Shoppers Drug Mart, complete with fences blocking off our access. Beckett came up to me and said, "Beckett comes here every day to eat junk food because it's good, Auntie." (WAY too complicated a sentence for him in his 21-month-old life!) London Drugs also had a great deal on Camelbak water bottles like Fraser's with dinosaurs, advertised as "a good way to get all your water - with a zipper bag for your bottle!" Cordia wanted some Halloween or Christmas Cheetos and shortbread snacks, but we confused her when she went to go through the maze of all the blue milk crates - she went RIGHT PAST all the Santa packs! Met up with Nick from Discord, which was fine - boy, is he open about some things, though! Talked about his being a Flames fan in Canucks territory, Michelle, narcissism, therapy, exes, drunk confessions, concerts, missing his best friend (but he's working), stepfamilies, frat bro people, welding, the Commercial / Broadway area, pizza, drinking a lot, smoking again, and more. I discovered REDRUM this morning, but still took a shower to help me feel better. After COFFEE TIME, I discovered a TOILET PLUMBING PROBLEM: IT WOULDN'T FLUSH PROPERLY! I left a note with Hester to cover my ass AND called her about it, but then I had to leave since I had no time to play phone tag! I went out at 2:55 on a 407 to help with the kids. Even after being at Marine Drive to see a 3 Downtown pull up to the stop, I wasn't even at Jon's any earlier than I was last week! Thanks, strollers and walkers which got on AND off before I left the bus at 16th! /sarcasm Yes, of course they're obviously entitled to use the bus (as are wheelchairs) - I was just glad I left a few minutes earlier than I did last week.

Beckett was sleeping when I got there; Ayler and Hiero were playing that Emoji Memory card game that I bought, so I got an answer to the question I asked Jon about what they do when the baby is supposed to be sleeping. Otherwise, I'd have asked the kids myself. Hiero tried making up his own rules: "No touching cards that other people have touched!" (which is totally nonsense for a MEMORY CARD game) and how you can shoot people who are already dead. I said those weren't fair! (they won the game and I lost - whatever) Ayler was sick because of some heatstroke at the Langley berry farm yesterday. We had a dinner of various things: macaroni and cheese, ribs, pizza, cold noodles, blueberries, strawberries, cherries, and more. Discussed power-washing balconies, Hiero spilling almond milk on the floor and my black Secret socks (I had fun telling them that I can make up my own rules too, like I can pause dinner to put on their dad's holey socks and wash my hands), some salad Mom gave them which expires today (I didn't want it to take home - so Harma tossed it), and how we shouldn't shoot people at the dinner table.

Beckett ate a bit of stuff, but was pretty much done fairly soon into his "meal." I had fun hanging out with him afterwards, though, even if he threw balls all over the place. He has new colorful soft ones, which are probably better for the downstairs neighbors complaining about everything. He seemed to like the new penguin, at least. I let him climb on me because it's cute, but watched to make sure he didn't fall off the couch or anything. The balcony is effectively closed off to him because of a rather interesting arrangement of chairs and other things. PHEW! I think he had fun chewing on his Christmas board books, too.

I left at 8 after doing some STAR WARS STORMTROOPERS summer reading with the kids, after Hiero had to go to a separate room because he was hugging a whimpering Beckett, and after I had grabbed Beckett before he got to the kids' jigsaw puzzle / after he invaded the washroom while Hiero was in the shower. I sent Mike a quick message ("thanks for the great fish head idea, Uncle Mike - says Nephew") using the Save-On wi-fi at the bus stop - thank goodness I didn't just miss the 3 Marine Drive bus! The bus driver didn't create a delay this time, but instead it was an old guy who was slow in even using his wheelchair to get on AND off the bus! Yup, he is totally entitled to use the buses (and it could be me one day), but be reasonably fast about it - come on now, other people have connections to make!

At the station, I quickly went to T&T to look for (and get) some quirky Lays chips for Rachel - Numb and Spicy Hot Pot, Wasabi, and Kimchi! I should get the Deep-Ridged ones next time: Spicy Chicken and Pork! Thank goodness I managed to get the Brighouse train home within two minutes of getting to the train area, and I FINALLY got home at 9! Thanks to the delays, I was able to text both Paulo and both Erics in detail. The toilet STILL wasn't fixed, so I had to consult V4F and then use buckets for filling up the tank. Sigh... I guess I'll have to call Hester tomorrow morning. No melatonin tonight...

Mom picked me up at 5 so we could go to Tsim Chai for dinner before the VOS (Vancouver Oratorio Society) choir concert that Dad was doing at Fraserview. BEEF TENDON NOODLES! She had discovered the pocket dial from my phone to Pothead Mike and complained that it had cost her one extra dollar, then wanted to use MY phone to call Steph. She ended up using her own phone, HA HA! I had to explain the concept of a pocket dial to her... and of course vent to Steph while Mom was in my bathroom, ha ha ha. Mom even complained that I didn't have Jon and Steph in my phone or WhatsApp contacts - I don't use WhatsApp at all, but I could for video calls at some point, I guess.

Later, Mom said that "my brother's wife's sister" (just say "Auntie Kwai") is going to be living with them for a couple of months since she lost her low-cost housing in the move from BC to Ontario, and she can't get used to life over there. She also told me redundant stuff about Maria Tam who just died from lung cancer, some missionary friend Winnie who will be staying with them (from July 12) for a week or so after they get back from Toronto on July 4, and how Harmony supposedly wants me to help with the kids when they're away from June 18 for the Oratorio Society concerts with some Hong Kong chorus. Well, I'll wait till Harmony actually says something to me about it first before I commit.

The conductor of the Oratorio Society is named Kemuel, and the associate conductor is named Neville?! One of the youth singers is named Jermyn Wong?! The overall concert was all right, I suppose. Lots of Psalms, lots of music - I saw Auntie Catherine around the washroom when I went. When I looked at the program, I saw Libby's name, so I had to tell Vania about it on Facebook. Mom suspiciously wondered why I was online, and asked if my mobile data was off - yes, of course. I did not help her get online during a lull or the intermission, ha ha ha. I got home at 10:15 or so, which is fine.

GREAT - I JUST GOT A BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH, ACCOMPANIED BY A HORRIBLE NOISE!

Holly mentioned that she was near me this morning for an interview at WorkSafe BC, so I noted the proximity. She asked if I wanted to do lunch, so after checking in with myself, I said yes. I finally left the house at 12 or so. Turns out she saw me at the 401 bus stop at Alderbridge, so we waited together and chatted about her interview, the questions, and how my morning was. Yup, Jimbo would have something to say about a certain person being invited to our chat when he gets back - we should have put it to a vote!

We finally made it to Edo Japan at the Richmond Centre food court, where I had a chicken chop chop bowl and she had some boring cucumber sushi. Talked about Brian, Jeremy, Darryl, Paulo taking a mental health break and needing to talk to someone, rage-quitting, Bath and Body Works, our birthdays, Chinese Eric's lupus, the chat, going to H and M later so I could convince her to get the cute and fun HOLY MOLY GUACAMOLE! thin sweater she'd seen earlier while killing time, encouragement of certain thoughts, a Froshberg Gelato ice cream (her treat - I got Nutella and White Chocolate and she got Pistachio), plus maybe going to the Steveston Canada Day festivities / Cherry Blossom Festival in the summer. When she found out that the next 401 would be in 16 minutes at Brighouse, she said that she was glad to wait for my bus with me, otherwise I'd be bored. No, I had my book and my thoughts! Turns out she did know Bryce Courtenay as a famous Australian writer from back home, but didn't know he'd been born in South Africa. I got home at 2, and was exhausted and drained. NO MORE GOING OUT FOR ME ANYTIME SOON!

Brian picked me up at about 9 last night from the hospital's main entrance, but I had to take a gigantic huge detour because the construction had blocked off the sidewalks right by my place AGAIN! (going through the parking lot and then find the sidewalk by the pharmacy and then cross THREE crosswalks to get to the hospital) He had joked that it would be like Little Iraq trying to get to my place, and this was about right. The chill get-together was for Paulo's 27th birthday, so of course I was going to come out and meet him. Things were fine until we tried finding Fremlin, but I eventually called Holly (who doesn't have a buzzer system or an elevator in her apartment building?!) when Brian eventually found it. She said that she was going to throw her keys down to us, probably because she was tired of going up and down the stairs for everyone else!

When Brian finally figured out the front door lock (the one in my building is recalcitrant as well), we went upstairs to Holly's suite. We met Paulo, and said hi to Holly and Darryl. Talked about bartending, gin and tonic, red wine, beers, smoking (always someone's choice), travel (Jordan and Egypt and Australia), the leftover pizza with pepperoni and sausage, online people in the other Discord server, Gastown, awful dates, hyphenated names, feminism, the 407, friends being in abusive relationships, weird names like Jesus Condom, the closed sidewalks around my place, (looking for) work, Long Island Iced Teas, (video) interviews, San Francisco, Montreal, fudge Oreos, and my Korean BBQ Kettle chips. Of course I let Holly keep them! Turns out that Paulo lives two minutes from me, which is always good just in case. I let Brian drop me off at Birchwood instead of Dogwood, but I was still with it enough to figure out where I was since things looked different. Got in at midnight, which is fine. Good times with FREEDOM!

Steph called me unexpectedly the other day (the 13th) to vent about Mom and her overly-complicated planning, especially trying to let JON pick the location for MY birthday AGAIN. His kids are not an excuse for everything! Planning with Lisa's side of the family is "we're inviting ourselves over for dinner... boom, done!" She definitely doesn't miss that OR Mom, but does miss me and seeing the boys. Apparently, Mom was trying to get her to come over for my birthday, but if she wouldn't fly over for Beckett's baby banquet last week... at least Lisa, Fraser, and Henry are doing well. I don't care if she can't make it for my birthday, especially if it's just her solo and everyone else isn't part of Mom's "whole family" image! That's offensive!

Then I called Auntie Catherine last night (the 14th), trying to change our Monday plans to Saturday plans like it originally was. Nope, she has car issues and the doctor's appointment is better for her. Well, I felt bad trying to do that, which is something rare for me. Oh well, at least I briefly talked to Chung on the phone, and Auntie Catherine can just meet me in front of Pepper Lunch!

Vanessa did the considerate thing yesterday and said that she and baby Cassidy couldn't make it to my Felico's birthday plans because of her ferry times from vacation. Of course I understood, and she can take me out for lunch sometime when she figures out some other stuff. Elizabeth can't make it, either, which is fine too.

I left at 5:15 on a 401 to get Arm and Hammer baking soda and peroxide toothpaste, on-sale store brand Ziploc bags x3, NEW on-sale barkTHINS dark chocolate x3 (Pretzel / Pumpkin Seed / Almond all with sea salt), an on-sale Ragusa Noir dark chocolate and hazelnut bar for Eric M. for his birthday, on-sale Reese mini peanut butter cups, purple MARTEX washcloths x2, and a replacement GIBSON owl coffee mug at London Drugs. Then I was home at 6 on a 407, which is just fine by me! Imgur isn't working, so I guess I have to use Photobucket... blah!

Julie M. saw this on CNN once in 2013: "The evidence will CLERALY show I am the shooter"?!

Via Facebook messages, Andrew M. apologized for not calling me last night, and we worked out payment for the Windows 7 computer / hard drive / Windows 7 key in writing, which is definitely a good thing. At least I have $200 instead of $150 in that cash envelope, so things can get paid off a little bit faster! Then he called at 7:20 to discuss his not being a robo-call, computer cases on wheels, sound cards, diabetes, coming to Richmond / Memory Express from Coquitlam, having the kids on the weekend and every other one, and cash vs. e-transfers.

I didn't mind if he wanted to drop by, so that's what he did at 8:20. His reaction upon finding out that this computer has 2 GB of RAM via System Tools: "HOLY CRAAAAAAAAAAAP!" We discussed possibly doing that stuff with the computer next weekend, my being welcome to drop by his place while he fiddles with things, a written receipt on the bank envelope, my computer cases, Google Chrome, my Shaw cable modem, my hard drive being compatible with his setup, and more. He laughed when I dropped all the $20 bills out of the cash money envelope, but that was fine!

COFFEE TIME! Dawn's friend Terry Cheng added me to Facebook, saying that we'd attended Palmer and McNair together - okay, I can definitely go with that! I blocked Tommy because he was being totally obtuse and thought that I was being a hypocritical judgmental sexist bitch. He's the one who upsets Jimmy and Helen, seemingly without realizing what he did wrong! The Canucks played the Predators at 7 tonight - the game went to overtime, and Nashville won 43 seconds into that. Sigh...

Last night, Jon said that I was welcome to come over for lunch, and that physio was at 2:15. Sounded good to me, as I could get my Compass Card back that way, as well as spend more time with the kids! Time to put the thing in my wallet instead of my pocket while I'm out of the house! I got to the house early, but at least I could spend some quiet time to chill. When Jon and the boys got back from an appointment, we had chicken and tofu tacos for lunch before going to physio. The boys had fun making up bus stops (Steveston and Portland / Seattle / Surrey?!), and imitating the "BEEP BEEP BEEP" of the wheelchair ramps around here! Jon asked me how white Eric was; you see him more often than I do! Apparently, someone has set up a birthday dinner for him at Jeremy's on Sunday, but I haven't gotten any emails about it. I guess he's pretty busy! Later, Jon asked if Chinese Eric had any friends; I have no idea since even HE had to work on his own birthday!

We talked about Jeremy and his going down to Corvallis (Oregon) to see the solar eclipse with Christon and white Eric last week, my emailing Kevin some birthday wishes, whether they'd sent Fraser anything for his birthday ("oops"), my doing some dishes after a dinner of corn chowder and bread, Penny the speech therapist, Beck / Weird Al making me think of Jeremy, the Dead Kennedys, zone strategies, and September scheduling. When I got home at 7:45 on a 407, I finally registered the Compass Card online! Jimmy had messaged me this morning, but I'd ignored it in favor of doing my own thing, especially because of last night's lyrics debacle which HE could have easily prevented. Tommy's just messaged me as well, but I'll ignore that for certain.

Yay! My Facebook friends have LOVED my posts 400 times! :D

Since I was up at 7:30, it was COFFEE TIME and GREEN TEA TIME by default!

"Your Imperfect Heart is Honest"

Your heart is imperfect because it is so intuitive and perceptive. You tend to know the deal without people needing to say it.
You may read between the lines, but you don't expect others to. You are very truthful - and even brutally frank - when it comes to love.

You are faithful and devoted to the person that you choose to love. Your heart doesn't waver or stray.
You can be a bit obsessive when your heart is set on someone. You'll face it - you're addicted to love.

It's WORLD MUSHROOM DAY today! :D

I paid my Shaw and hydro bills online after I showered and made some mushroom soup. No time for my pasta specialty if I had to make it to Jon and Harmony's at 12:30 or so on two cups of coffee! I got there at about 12:45 or so, declined lunch, and ate a piece of interesting mango chocolate for dessert instead. I played with the boys and their toy trains and arches, while answering "no" to the question of whether I lived on the Golden Gate Bridge! Eventually, we got going to the Family Centre drop-in with Harmony soon after she got home. I'm sure she would love some quiet time to herself, but that wasn't really an option. We talked about the summer and fall, my eventual birthday dinner, the hot weather, my shorts, chalk drawings, whether I'd stay for dinner, putting stickers on kites, chalk drawings at home being better than a hot playground, physio, and ratatouille / tabouli / spaghetti / THE ANTS GO MARCHING. Youtube videos, Ayler being able to serve himself after I finally got him some dinner because Hiero was having a meltdown, cantaloupe, bathroom time, beans, and emotions being okay.

Once I left at 6, I went to Oakridge Station before figuring out that I didn't have my bus pass, so went straight back to the house. It wasn't there, but it could be at the Physio Centre bathroom. Jon gave me some change for a one-time Compass Card, and Harmony called around for me. I finally got home at 7:40 on a 401, slow jabronies on the train notwithstanding. Get your kids and crap together BEFORE the train pulls into the station, people!
