The Canucks played Chicago tonight at 7:30, and won 3-0. They even got an empty-netter! It was the Sedin jersey retirement game! The ceremony was awesome - John Shorthouse, Dave Nonis, Markus Naslund, Trevor Linden, Mike Gillis, Marc Crawford, Alex Burrows, Jannik Hansen, and so many others! The twins definitely sent their well-wishes to Jay Bouwmeester, who collapsed on the bench during last night's St. Louis-Anaheim game because of a cardiac issue! YAY FOR HENRIK SEDIN AND DANIEL SEDIN!

From my ex-friend Natalie and College Humor: Puritan Valentine's Day cards! Roses are red, violets are blue, and neither are useful or necessary at all. I need you to help raise livestock and crops or surely we will starve to death come winter. You almost make my heart dance, and dancing is forbidden. Being with you fills me with impure thoughts, and I am ashamed.

The Canucks played the Knights tonight at 7, and s.

From Reddit: Jussie Smollett and Jurnee Smollett-Bell?! Jussie is a stupid enough nickname for Justin (does it really NEED a cute nickname?!), but JURNEE is a very bad spelling of JOURNEY.

I hung around Deb and Dylan's today since the paint dude was coming by to finish up whatever he did yesterday, and he left at 10:30. SO EARLY! Managed to use up a lot of time by being on Discord and Reddit mobile, then ate my packed lunch of leftovers from last night: chicken wings and fish! I had a little hiccup when Rachel called at 2:30-ish as we had planned, but that was quickly rectified. Thank goodness that the paint guy had left by then! Earlier, Steph had tried to call my home line - nope, didn't work!

Dylan didn't see me when he came in with his electric bike, so we talked briefly before I went upstairs. Turns out he tried to nap on the couch for a while before Deb and the kids got home. Declan showed me his toys in his little alcove: A Pokemon Beyblade and orange stadium! Never mind the tent! We had a slightly later dinner: rotini pasta with meatballs, tomato sauce, chicken cordon bleu, and Sleeman's Honey Brown Lager! I went upstairs after that, then Elysse came up later to convince me to find Declan since they were playing tag or something - sure, let's go find him! He ended up being under the kitchen table, not in the closets or bathroom. At least it seems they like me!

The Canucks played San Jose at 7:30 tonight. Gaunce scored his first goal in 94 games! The game went to overtime, and we lost 5-4.

COFFEE TIME! The Canucks played New Jersey at 4 today, but lost 3-2. Then I went out at 6:50 after the game ended. I got two 18-packs of assorted Christmas cards / 12 Vancouver postcards (Gastown, BC Place, and the RCMP!) / three assorted packs of Christmas stickers / a pack of 40 golden Christmas decorative stickers (Poinsettias! Holly! Wreaths! Snowmen! Santa! Winter! Bells!) / a pack of Mickey Mouse stickers / a pack of Emoji stickers from the dollar store (I'm going to make it worth my while if I have to go to a store tucked away in a corner at the other end of the mall...), and on-sale orange juice / Crème de Pirouline dark chocolate artisan rolled wafers for myself from London Drugs. Thank goodness that the 407 bus driver saw me running for the bus and waited a few extra seconds, and waited a bit for me to retrieve my bus pass from my pocket! I definitely thanked him for that, besides my customary "Thank you" when I get off the bus! I got home at 8:10, which is MUCH better than a while later!

I noticed some extra money in my bank account this morning, so went out at 11:30 on a 401 to get some Postscript pens x48 (I won't have to cut myself on the packaging like I do for the Z-Grip pens), Scotties Kleenex x6, an on-sale store brand ream (500 sheets) of paper, and a poop emoji keychain from Staples. Then I went to Price Smart for some satay squid tentacles (which I ate before going out again) and some hot and spicy pork stomach for World Tripe Day tomorrow. My last stop was London Drugs for some on-sale ScAero / Coffin Crisp / Ghostly Kit-Kats / Scaries for Chrystal (but the ScAero bar was BROKEN?! - I had to buy another one later!), 200 index cards, and Purell hand sanitizer x4. I finally got home at 1:10 on a 407.

Hester's husband Ni came by at 2:45 to check out my bathtub drain, but (of course) declared nothing to be wrong. I don't even know what's going on! Then he slipped a mousetrap through my mailslot at 2:50 because I'd requested one or two. Then I went out again at 5, just managing to get the 407. I went to Price Smart again, where they actually had beef tripe this time! At the checkout, I saw some NEW limited-edition gingerbread Lindt truffles, so of course I had to get those for myself. Then I went to London Drugs again, where I bit off slightly more than I could chew: a 12L Snapware storage box, a TouchTop garbage can with a lid for my bathroom (which didn't FIT in the SPACE - so I had to ANGLE it and hope for the best), a new Ragusa Noir chocolate bar, a new set of on-sale scary Halloween candy plus one new unbroken ScAero bar, and a new GIBSON owl coffee mug (with easily-peeled sticker at the bottom) for my bathroom. I finally got home at 6, and I don't want to leave again till Wednesday around noon when I have to! But I peed my pants AGAIN, so I'm going to have to do laundry with lots of white vinegar!

Anders Bjork is a Bruins player?! That just makes me think of Björk the singer!

"He's Keeping You a Secret For Now"

Your guy doesn't seem super psyched to go public with your relationship - at least not totally public.
Maybe he's a private person, or maybe you are just starting to date. It's nothing to worry about yet.

Keep an eye on this guy. Is he as serious about you as you are about him? He may be hiding something... you!
You want to be with someone who's as excited to be with you as you are with him. Even if it means getting a new man.

"You Are a Brown Leaf"

You are a well-grounded and down-to-earth person. You are dependable, in part because you like knowing that you can depend on yourself.
You are quietly confident and know who you are. You don't have to be the most colorful person in the room to be comfortable.

You are approachable and friendly. People naturally trust you. You are as stable and honest as you seem.
You are warm and reassuring. You believe that there is a season for everything, and you accept each day as it comes.

"You Are Quite Wise"

You don't feel different than anyone else, but that's part of your wisdom. You are humble and thoughtful.
You always try to reflect more than react, but sometimes your very human nature gets the better of you.

You try to go with the flow and live in the moment. There is a lot of wisdom to be found in the present.
If there's anything you're trying to improve on, it's getting to know yourself a little better.

"You Are Gillian"

You are a rebel to the core, and if someone calls you on it, it only makes you act out.
You are fun-loving and impulsive. You seek a life of adventure and enjoy being with whoever is Mr. Right Now.

You don't care what others think. You are good to those who matter to you, and your attitude helps liberate them.
You take life as it comes, and you are happy to squeeze the most out of every day. Party at your place!

Now that the HTML posting option on Blogthings finally works again (for now?), I can post all the drafts I've saved!

"You Are Shakshuka"

You love comfort and feeling cozy, but you are also open to new experiences. You crave warmth of all sorts.
You are a bit of an oddball, and you wouldn't have it any other way. You are a person of substance - not just of quirks.

You are a skilled nurturer, both of others and of yourself. You believe that taking care of people is the ultimate goal.
You are a passionate person, and you try to shy away from anything that's a little too average. You make the bold choice when you can.

"You Are Pretty Adaptable"

You know when it's time to be flexible, but you also know when to stand your ground. You assess every situation as it comes.
You've got a lot that's working for you in your life. You're willing to improve, but you're not going to throw it away for the latest thing.

People may say that you should be more adaptable, but it's likely that they just want you to adapt to their ways!
Above all, you tend to be a realist who is living in the present. You know a good opportunity when you see one, but you also can sense when something is a waste of time.

From Julie: I don't really have a plan, most days. Just caffeine and weirdness, my friend. Caffeine and weirdness. THIS IS TOTALLY ME!
