The Canucks played Columbus today at 4, and lost 5-3 thanks to an empty-net goal AND four unanswered goals in the last eight minutes of the third period... thanks, new goalie Louie Domingue...

After I had DOUBLE COFFEE TIME, the handyman came by at 11:30 to install the brand-new toilet float valve - YES! I don't care if it takes 90 seconds to fully refill the toilet (tank) now, because at least it works! Better than Hester lecturing me about "flush the toilet tenderly and not with a boom boom boom"... whatever THAT means!

Barry picked me up at 12 and we went banking and to Price Smart. I got All-Dressed / Salt and Vinegar / BBQ / Ranch Crispers, on-sale Silk almond milk / chocolate milk, JOY dumplings x5, Dare Foods Limited chocolate cookie chips, on-sale Cottonelle toilet paper x2, Campbell's mushroom soup x5, NEW Miss Vickie's Signatures chips (Hickory Smoked Salt), on-sale Stouffer's microwaveable meals x2 (Chicken Alfredo / Homestyle Pot Roast), and on-sale Western Family frozen vegetables.

Also bought an on-sale Gizella Pastry assorted cheesecake (mango / New York / strawberry / blueberry), Western Family dill pickle chips, Western Family ripple chips, mini Chantilly Choux cream puffs (POPPIES!), NEW Activia strawberry / vanilla / peach yogurts, and NEW on-sale Ben and Jerry's Salted Caramel Almond ice cream. After that, I paid my Shaw and hydro bills online when I got home at 1:15. EARLY! I also managed to go to the dumpster and throw out the light Sunbeam toaster oven which I haven't used for the year I've had it, AND was taking up counter space in the kitchen. Suck on THAT, Hester! :P

Then I went to London Drugs at 7:05 on a 401 to get NEW on-sale Hazelnut M and Ms, on-sale Almond M and Ms, a green tea Kit Kat, NEW Cadbury Curly Wurly chocolate, on-sale Häagen-Dazs coffee ice cream, and 400 Mead index cards before returning home on the same 401 at 7:25. The bus driver said that I'd been fast - yes, I like bus efficiency AND ice cream not melting when it's humid outside! When I got in, my phone "ding=donged" at me - turned out to be Corey on LINE. I can live with that, haha!

I went out at 12:15 on a 401 to go to London Drugs and look for 3x5 Mead index cards, since my stock was running low. Turns out I wasn't really running out of them, but whatever. I finally found them at just slightly higher than eye level with the notebooks and papers, and decided to just clear out the entire stock. I did lie to the cashier and said that they were for school, but I couldn't wait for the back-to-school sales (that part is true), hahaha. Got home at 12:50 on a 401 and found two RCMP officers in the hallway! They asked whether I knew my neighbors across the hall, but I politely said no and they went on their way. We wished each other a good day, though.

After I got Barry to swap my microwaves for me (1000 watts is better than 700 watts!), I fielded phone calls from Dr. Wise's office (DUH - of course I know about the ultrasound appointment since I booked it myself yesterday), and then paid my Shaw bill online at home. Then I left at 5:30 to grab the mooncake flavor names from Price Smart, just managing to get the 401, which waited as I ran across the street on my green light! After that, I went to London Drugs to get NEW on-sale Lindt Excellence Dark Chocolate x3 (Crunchy Cacao / Pink Peppercorn / Hazelnut), Goody toothbrush covers x7, and a smaller 300-page red Hilroy notebook for my smaller reusable bag. Got back at 6:20, just managing to get the 407 - PHEW! GOOD TIMING AND BUS EFFICIENCY! At least I can get a ride tomorrow to St. Paul's from Mom and Dad...

After I bought a 3-pack of dark JOCKEY underwear at the Bay which was unexpectedly on sale for $9 off ($21.99 from $30.99), I showered and did laundry. I went out at 11 on an 407, and returned home at 11:30 on another 407 - YAY FOR BUS EFFICIENCY ON A SATURDAY! I even found out where the clearance undershirts were for future reference! (way in the back)

I also got on-sale President's Choice oatmeal cookies for National Oatmeal Cookie Day, NEW Sweet and Spicy Ruffles chips, and on-sale Chewy Chips Ahoy cookies from Shoppers Drug Mart. Then I went to London Drugs for on-sale Ragusa Noir / Ragusa Blond chocolate bars x2 and a yellow LifeCandy shower pouf, getting home at 4 on another 407.
