This is for [livejournal.com profile] rogermellie, who wanted to know what my loves and passions in life were.

This is also for [livejournal.com profile] p1r4t3_k1ng, who wanted to know what was cool about me. (or not, depending on my outlook) They also have a last name in common: ANDERSON. :D

Here's a short list:

I'm a bit interested in twins (and other multiples; triplets, quadruplets, quintuplets, sextuplets, etc.), babies and kids (I like them to a certain extent, but am a long way from having them right at the moment), reading, humor, true crime, comics.. the list could go on and on.

What I do for fun: reading, going to bookstores and the library, hanging out with friends, eating out with them, keeping in touch with people, listening to music, going to my friends' houses, looking after little kids, sometimes going places by myself, parties at friends' houses, etc.

Foods I like: some Chinese food (hot and sour soup, noodles, curry, wonton soup, etc.), pizza, pasta, chicken, sushi, turkey, Pho noodles, steak, etc.

Music I like: classic rock, some current rock, some pop (no BSB-type stuff for me)... that's about it, though I can stand most other types... even my brother's weird mix tapes of Monster Magnet, Frank Zappa, Captain Beefheart, and Mercury Rev. Some other groups I like include (but are not limited to): Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Everclear, Matthew Good Band, Our Lady Peace, Led Zeppelin, New Order, the Doors, Big Sugar, Creed, Nickelback, Collective Soul, the Police, etc.

Stuff I like to read: humorous stuff, some (auto-)biographies, Guinness World Records stuff (that Primetime TV show is cool), the Outlander series, Bathroom Readers, true crime, trivia, some fiction (and some non-fiction as well), comic strips, stuff about music... guess it all depends on what I feel like reading!

Any more questions? You can ask me in here if you want.. or email me. (that is, if you even know my current email address.. MWAHAHAHAHA)

Oh, and YES.. if you've heard all those rumors, they're true. I am indeed the birthday queen, and I have amazing birthday prowess. (according to my friends Jason and Keith)

ah, but wierd is good! after all, I'm the wierdest f00l on this island muwahaha (I mean come ON, we're pretending we're on an island called Silly Island... of which we are the single two VIPs LoL)

aw, you love that? you make me feel special heh

and being wierd isn't a bad thing by any means, I'm a pretty wierd guy if you haven't figured it out yet :)

When you think about it, that IS pretty weird. :P This pretending game is cool, though. :)

Yes, I do. Glad it makes you feel special, heh. Heck, you're the one who said that you loved how I increasingly rock. *grin* Thanks for that, and for the humor.. my neighbors may not like you much, but I certainly do! (and not in that way :P)

No, of course it's not bad. I've figured it out smewhat, y'know? :)

Speaking of pretending, what are we doing for pretend food while we're stranded here on the island?

Heh, your neighbors hate me? :) that's no good, they're not invited to Silly Island... which is bad 'cause the monkeys are getting restless and need playmates :)

And that's good, I'd hate to think that you didn't think I was wierd... 'cause I am. LoL

I just read most of Life of Pi, but that applies to lifeboats stranded in the middle of the Pacific. So.. pretend food. I supoose we could pretend to fish, and use the resident vegetation and animals to supplement this diet. *shrug*

I think they only hate me because your comments cause me to laugh hysterically (as my friend Eric puts it) at the computer screen every time one of them pops up in my email. :) But don't worry.. it's good for me.. they say laughter is good for the soul. :D

All right, we have it established that we both think the other is weird in a good way. Better now? :)

yes, much better. ;)

... I don't think I've ever made anybody laugh hysterically before... :) w00t!

And I suppose I could always wade out into the water, and allow the ambient sea life to acclimate to my presence, snag a couple of sea turtles and tie them together for a raft... although, we're gonna need rope, I don't have any backhair ;) hehe

either that... or see if there's a stash of rum on this lil' island of ours heh. Go Tortuga!

It was either that descriptor, or the one where they think I'm on crack. :P

I hear sea turtles are heavy, but yes.. we shall need rope. Suppose we could always use the vegetation around for rope.. who knows? Hehe.. ;)

Tortuga.. sounds very familiar for some reason. Stashes of rum.. yup, reminds me of the ol' pirate saying: "Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!" (that's SO stereotypical, but it's true..)

Pirates of the Carribbean, love.

Tortuga? You mean to tell me you haven't heard of the greatest little city this side of the Panama Canal? Goodness luv, we've gotta educate you once we get off this island! *sidles up to a tree, begins counting paces away from it, hoping to hear a hollow wooden sound, looking for some form of secret stash of rum*

You should know the captain's tricks by now, but first... to find that hidden stash of rum that every deserted island has to have...

hrm, vegetation, good thinking, while I find this rum, you go out and get us some vines and flowers or something... heh

When I read that whole thing about Tortuga (especially the subject line), why do I hear it in a Johnny Depp voice? Irish (?) accent and all.. you're going to have me in a rare swivet by the time this is over, love. ;)

Vines and flowers, eh? Right on it..

*watches you run off into the woods, at which point he steps onto wooden planks. Peeling him back, he finds an entire treasure trove of Rum. Tears come to his eyes as he realizes he's now truly a pirate*

Now... to keep the monkeys from stealin' the rum... if only I had a sword... d'oh!

*seals up the entrance to the treasure trove, noting that it is fifteen paces from the palm tree*

FOUND IT! *wades out into the water*

now then... to find a pair of sea turtles...

Rum will indeed make you a pirate, mate.

*watches him from her investigations into the flora and fauna of the island, noting his movements carefully.. and is determined to find something suitable amongst the vast undergrowth*

What did you find, love?

find? er... uh... coconuts... lots and lots of coconuts... *picks one up* yes... definitely not rum... no... *looks around, slips on one of the planks, falling into the hole*

well... except for THIS rum... *smiles wide*

and what have you found? (just make sure those monkeys don't find our rum!)

Um, lessee.. plenty of long grass and flowers. Nothing in the way of real vegetation yet, but I suppose I don't expect it on islands.. I'll keep looking, though.

Yeah, better keep looking, we're gonna need some vines... if nothing else though we could just drink ourselves into a drunken stupor... *grins*

Well then, I'm off to see if I can find a ship-wrecked boat to scavenge for sword-like objects to keep those monkeys away from our rum :)

Good luck with those vines, luv.

*saunters off*

Being largely practical in this scenario, I say we save the drunken stupor for later on, love.. like, after we find some vegetation / swords / whatever we need to ensure our survival. Sounds like an idea, though... *grins*

*wanders off further on the island, looking for patches of vegetation and little animals*

Good luck to you too, luv. You're going to need it, especially with those monkeys!

Wait... I had to wait to drink the rum? ... that would probably have made the search for sword-like objects easier, ne? :)

*wanders drunkenly farther down the beach, keeping his eyes peeled for anything resembling a sword.*

*farther down the beach, a derelict shipwreck is seen out in the water, the name of the vessel reads "SS Minnow 2"*

Luv, methinks we may be in more trouble than I thought... ever hear of a lad named Gilligan?

*picks a stick up off the beach for a walking stick*

(hey, this is sword-like! now to find one for you...)

Yes, waiting to drink the rum would have made it easier. :)

Yes, I have.. haven't read up on his adventures lately, though I do believe we should be a wee bit concerned.

*finds some vegetation in surprising abundance futher down the island*

Hmmm.. that's interesting. Such surprising abundance here.. with the animals, to boot..

abundance? lovely! At least we won't have to try Monkey Stew :) *does a jig*

Now then, if only we could get out to the Minnow and see if it's salvageable, or at least scavengeable...

*picks up another stick, weighing it in his hand* Here, I got you a sword-like object too :)

*begins wobbling back to the rum cache.*

I'll just sit here until you come back... and let the world stop spinning...

*the sounds of monkeys in the distance puts him on edge*

Yes, monkey stew sounds perfectly horrible.

*goes back to where you are, carefully noting the location of veggie patches*

Thanks for the sword-like object, luv.. I'm here with you now. :) *puts reassuring hand on your shoulder, as much to let you know where I am, as to calm both of us down*

*raises the stick to strike at you in paranoia, stops after looking up* oh... sorry... those monkeys have me on edge...

*shouts into the woods* THE RUM IS OURS! heh

I wonder who left the rum here in the first place?

Hrm, I suppose we'll have to wander into those woods and start lookin' for meals, eh luv? Veggies are nice and all but a Coney Stew is sounding mighty tasty.

*flinches a little, but understands* It's only me.. but you're not the only one these monkeys have on edge.

Heh.. maybe that'll work. No idea who left the rum and planted all the veggies... but that'll be good for us.

Yes, I think so.. I did see animals around. Not quite sure what they are, since the monkeys distracted me...

hrm, after we get to the ship and set up a base camp we'll go huntin'! besides, maybe that ship'll have provisions for us?

Enough of this sea turtle nonsense! we swim! *begins swimming out to the SS Minnow 2.*

comin'? bring that rope! :)

Maybe it will, we can only hope! So let's swim then!
