I went out with a Miniso face mask at 12:30 on a 407. Went to Lansdowne T and T with my Asian old lady shopping cart to see if I could get a box of 50 face masks for $31. After lining up for 20 minutes because the line snaked around the market area of Lansdowne Mall, I FINALLY got inside with a temperature scanner check (which was fine) and managed to get a box from Customer Service. Since I was there anyway, I checked out the noodle aisle. I got Samyang Buldak Topokki noodles x2 and NEW Samyang Buldak Corn noodles x2 / Samyang Buldak Kimchi chicken terrorist noodles x2. My cart was already plenty full and bulky by the time I left at 1, but I decided to walk to Price Smart anyway, where the lineup moves MUCH FASTER! I got Fanny Bay oysters (May 5), Snack Pack vanilla pudding (May 22), plus NEW Snack Pack DRAGON TREASURE and UNICORN MAGIC puddings. Decided to get a NEW on-sale Aero Gold chocolate bar, a NEW on-sale Kit-Kat Gold chocolate bar, NEW Crave microwaveable meals (Bacon and Egg Scramble with Cheddar Cheese, and Chorizo Egg Scramble with Goat Cheese), and NEW limited-edition Tiramisu Oreos.

After that, I went home at 2:45 on a 407 to rest for a bit before going to London Drugs at 6:30. Planters BBQ peanuts (May 16), Pure Standards Products hydrogen peroxide, Arm and Hammer baking soda, on-sale organic Classico tomato garlic pasta sauce for the same $4 price as regular (sale ends May 27), a small Reese's Pieces (May 18), NEW Orange Vanilla Coke (May 8), NEW LaRose hand sanitizer for the same $4 price as regular, Tao Kae Noi wasabi seaweed snacks, Fudge Swirl Lindt truffles for tomorrow (May 2), and Aroy-D green curry for my Uncle Ben's jasmine rice. Got home at 7:25, which is fine by me.

HAPPY NEW YEAR AND 2019, EVERYONE! Heard from Jana in CANUCK NATION that racist Stuart has three kinds of cancer (liver / colon / something else) and is currently in Langley hospice - karma works in good ways! I went shopping, having to walk to London Drugs because the endless construction and sewer upgrades have made the nearby bus stops non-operational. I went out at 12:30 for shopping purposes at London Drugs, so I walked there. Barry called to see if I was fine with changing our food shopping appointment on the 22nd to 11:30 instead of 11. I went out at 3:10 on a 407 (which luckily picked me up at the sidewalk) for shopping purposes.

I went out at 2 on a 401 to get Rubbermaid Take-Along containers and on-sale pads x2 at London Drugs, getting home at 2:20 on a 407. After my intake session with Rishu at Touchstone at 3 (leaving at 2:20 on a 401), I went shopping at the Dollar Tree / London Drugs / Big Crazy after killing time at the Richmond Public Market beforehand. Today's date is a palindrome: 9/1/19! Beckett crawled over to me to say hi - CUTE! AMERICAN GREETINGS STICKERS, HOT CHOCOLATE, CANDY, SCISSORS, and TEA! SHORTBREAD, MULTIVITAMINS, CHRISTMAS DISH SOAP, AND COUGH DROPS!

After COFFEE TIME, Barry picked me up at 8:30 AM so we could go to the UBC Eye Care Centre on Willow at 9:15 AM for an eye measurement scan because of my dense cataract. RED LIGHTS IN FRONT OF MY EYES! SMELLING SKIN! The technician asked where my parents were and why they weren't with me... I CAN TAKE CARE OF THINGS MYSELF, AND MY RIDE IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!

Barry and I talked about the rush-hour traffic, the Royal Bank kiosk machine that I noticed yesterday inside Shoppers, changing the payday shopping appointment plans to THURSDAY instead of Wednesday at 9:30 AM (gets me out of going to Dinesty with the parents!), his ongoing Wednesday appointments at 11, the RDSP stuff, and music. I got home at 10:10, and he helped me move the bedframe support back inside from where the cleaners left it outside where I'd bump into it. OUCH! I still can't close my bedroom door fully, though.

While I remembered, I emailed Eric about the construction zone and consequent road closures as a reminder for Sunday's ride to Jeremy's. He replied to say that he has a cold, so might not be okay for Sunday - UGH! The Canucks played the Wild at 5 today, and lost 6-2! I also discovered that SOMEONE put my Not Always Right / Not Always Right / Not Always Working / Not Always Romantic / Not Always Related / Not Always Learning / Not Always Friendly / Not Always Hopeless / Not Always Legal / Not Always Healthy / Unfiltered / Popular Disqus account on a commenting timeout! COFFEE TIME! Jon messaged me yesterday (while I was talking to Helen Y. and Tommy about forgiveness and Jimmy being a turd because of his new Pittsburgh girlfriend Jessica) to say that he'd given me the wrong time for today, so wanted me to come over an hour earlier. Sure, I guess so. Eric M. also emailed me this morning to say that he has to be at Jeremy's at 3 for Saturday food prep, so he'll be here at 2:30 or so. Sounds okay to me - thank goodness I have a book to pass the time, or I can help too! I had Jon's Elmer Chocolates assortment of caramels / fudges / cremes / truffles when I left at 2:10 to attempt to cash Lena's US cheque (SO MUCH LINEUP and can't access it for a while because of my brand-new US money account!) / buy a BBQ pork bun at Kam Do Bakery (no lineup!) / mail Corey's birthday card and Deanna's Christmas card and birthday card at the Shoppers Drug Mart post office (no lineup!) / get to Jon's new place by 3:30-ish. Turns out I managed to find the house (without numbers on the front!) two minutes before his guitar students did, so that was fine - I just had to navigate the logjam of stuff by the door! Ayler was eating cheese and an orange while Jon requested me to help with dishes; sure, why not? Hiero just "played monkey bars" and hid under the table... not very effective, buddy! No, Ayler could not eat all the chocolates for dinner like he'd been hoping! However, he did sit in my lap unbidden to play with the toys. Of course I let him do that without comment!

Later, we played with some science toy discovery kit and 200-piece solar system puzzle, and the kids seemed to be cooperating reasonably well, even if Ayler had been upset earlier because of something else. We had vegetarian shepherd's pie, pomegranate, tea, orange juice, and some salad rolls with peanut sauce for an "early" dinner. Jon was surprised that I hadn't eaten a proper lunch, but when I'd had dumplings already in the morning, a bakery item was fine for me to eat on the train. We talked about Chinese Eric / white Eric / Jeremy, "body acids" (enzymes), it being okay to say no if you don't like something (MY WISDOM!), no school tomorrow (Pro-D days!), words that start with K, a birthday party on Saturday for Ayler's friend, a "mermaid" move at gymnastics (which somehow evolved from church and holding onto bars - very interesting and confusing!), drawing kangaroos / (crappy) stars / "sad people in jail" (what?!) / very simple line snowflakes / letters on a memo pad, a bag of clothes which Mom and Dad gave me, and watching out for a step outside. (Jon later said I could avoid it by taking the laneway out and turning right) The Canucks played the Predators at 5 today, I saw a stream on Jon's laptop when it was 3-2, and I got home at 7:45 (just managing to catch all three buses since I took the 401 and train!) to discover that we'd won 5-3, and Daniel Sedin had finally scored his 1000th point in the NHL! Too bad that Derek Dorsett's career is over now, though.

I paid my Shaw bill online today. Then I called Chrystal at work at 1:10 to try arranging a time to get together during her time off. We finally decided on December 14 at 7 at the Broadway London Drugs. After that, I got Jimmy's address for Christmas card purposes, muhahaha! I think I'll repurpose Chrystal's Advent calendar for Jeremy instead, too. Not much point in giving her one midway through the month!

Chrystal calling to postpone again! / Panromantic polyamorous special snowflake!

Chrystal gave me a surprise phone call at 8:35, saying that she knew we were supposed to meet up tomorrow, but work has been absolutely crazy since a supervisor resigned. Luckily for Chrystal, she's not the new supervisor! We finally figured out a new date to meet up: Friday, June 9 at the usual place, which is the London Drugs across the street from Broadway Station. Then we just caught up by phone: her nephew Ethan likes learning about numbers and clocks, and would love musical toy mats! We talked about Ayler turning five tomorrow, Steph being in town recently, Emily and Mike finally completing their move (and selling a lot of furniture online), Father's Day being around June 16 (June 18), and my dropping by to see Ayler tomorrow afternoon. She thanked me for being so flexible, and said that I was her mental health break, haha. Cool, I guess!

At 12:35, I called Chrystal to see when a good time would be for us to get together this month. The move apparently did not go smoothly last week, as Emily's still organizing a bunch of stuff at both places. I didn't mind meeting at the end of the month, as it gives me more time to NOT feel rushed: Friday the 26th at 6:30 sounds good to me! Yeah, I suggested that she write it down somewhere after the phone call so she'd remember, haha. I did also tell her to say hi to everyone, and tell them that I hoped everything else would go well. Then I went out at 3 on a 401 to London Drugs so I could get 200 Mead index cards, a pair of replacement black Secret relaxed fit socks since ANOTHER pair had holes in them, a MACHINE-WASHABLE taupe Splash Softee bath mat to replace the one from 29 January 2015, NEW Uncle Lee's organic white tea, and NEW Uncle Lee's organic green tea. I got home at 3:45 on a 407, so that's good.

Ness and Paula go home to Onett in EARTHBOUND, and go to Tracy's pink room. Tracy says, "You also got a new girlfriend? Your adventure must have been pretty good!"
