Today is National Dumpling Day! I called Chrystal at work at 11:40 to see if we were still on for tomorrow's Birthday Dinner #3, and WE ARE! The Canucks played Arizona tonight at 7 in Preseason Game #8 (the last one!), and lost 3-2. Deb said that they could take me out to Korean food tomorrow night, but I'm not free due to the aforementioned plans. Next week on the 4th sounds fine, especially since it's a non-hockey night! I also banned someone from the Fearsome hockey group for typing in very mangled English (it would just annoy me even more throughout the year), and making every comment into some kind of slam freeform poetry.

I called Dr. Wise's office at 11:15 because I'd run out of the Prolensa and Simbrinza eyedrops, and I'm starting to really feel a difference. I had to rest today because my eyes felt really weird like they did right after surgery. Luckily, I could pick them up this afternoon (being a Friday) before they closed at 4. I got there at 2:10 or so, and even got them to open ALL the ridiculously tiny eyedrops bottles x4 for me! PHEW!

On my way home, I just missed a Brighouse train from Yaletown-Roundhouse (where I FINALLY found the elevator to bypass the stairs), so I took a Waterfront train to stay on there so I could go to Broadway Station. I went to No Frills where I was confused by the self-checkout machine, which is nothing new. At least I got help! Bought three pounds of Parkay margarine (which I haven't bought since April 25, 2018?!) and President's Choice Kettle-Cooked Jalapeno chips. I stopped by the pharmacy next door after getting off a 401 at 3:40, and also refilled my birth control pills prescription. Everything is done - YAY!

Then Eric Ho FINALLY emailed me back to say that he's glad my eye surgery and recovery are going well, and we can get together around February 26 or a little later. Does he not know what an expiry date or deadline for the Boston Pizza Online offer is?! I want my free Bandera Pizza Bread, dammit! I'll just splurge and order delivery tonight since I somehow have more extra money in my bank account... I don't trust him to not come over before the offer expires. I eventually settled on a medium BBQ chicken pizza (which I haven't had since September 2016), a medium Meateor pizza for 50% off (which I haven't had since the last time I had pizza in August 2018 for Chinese Eric's birthday), and my free Bandera Pizza Bread with dips and cheese. There goes $57!

I went out at 9:30 on a 401 to meet Mom and Dad at Main and 15th at TXL Insurance, Uncle William Ng's company. (10:30 AM?!) After we had lunch at Kwong Chow and finally took care of the insurance, I did some shopping at the Broadway London Drugs. Bought 400 Mead index cards, store brand all-purpose cleaner, a three-inch Avery binder for my important documents (a definite upgrade!), a red $2 MARTEX washcloth, a GUM toothbrush, and two dark blue $2 GOODY toothbrush covers. Got home at 1:40 to a Purolator notice (ugh), a phone call from Dr. Wise's office, and some other mail, so I had to deal with all of that.

I got a BUDDY THE ELF Christmas card / Tazo Tea x3 (passion herbal tea, vanilla caramel chai, and green ginger tea) / magnetic Fool Moon treasures crow bookmark from Angie H. (auralily) and a Ringo the dog Christmas card from Kitty (bornwitch / dutch_kitty) in the mail. Then after calling Dr. Wise's office back, I GOT MY SURGERY TIME! 11:45 at Mount St. Joseph's isn't TERRIBLE! After COFFEE TIME, Barry picked me up at 8:30 AM so we could go to the UBC Eye Care Centre on Willow at 9:15 AM for an eye measurement scan because of my dense cataract. RED LIGHTS IN FRONT OF MY EYES! SMELLING SKIN! The technician asked where my parents were and why they weren't with me... I CAN TAKE CARE OF THINGS MYSELF, AND MY RIDE IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!

Barry and I talked about the rush-hour traffic, the Royal Bank kiosk machine that I noticed yesterday inside Shoppers, changing the payday shopping appointment plans to THURSDAY instead of Wednesday at 9:30 AM (gets me out of going to Dinesty with the parents!), his ongoing Wednesday appointments at 11, the RDSP stuff, and music. I got home at 10:10, and he helped me move the bedframe support back inside from where the cleaners left it outside where I'd bump into it. OUCH! I still can't close my bedroom door fully, though.

While I remembered, I emailed Eric about the construction zone and consequent road closures as a reminder for Sunday's ride to Jeremy's. He replied to say that he has a cold, so might not be okay for Sunday - UGH! The Canucks played the Wild at 5 today, and lost 6-2! I went to the pharmacy next door at 1:30 to refill my prescription, showered, and did laundry today. Then I went to H and M to see if I could get sweatpants. No luck at all, even when I dragged an associate across the store! At least now I have the phone number and (mow that I'm home) the proper tag numbers for my preferred style of sweatpants! 604-279-1811 AND 063 658 68! When I got home and organized stuff, I called the store - they don't have that one because it's popular / best-selling, but will have a shipment in very soon, and said I should call in the late afternoon or early evening. Okay, then!

I got on-sale Arm and Hammer 50-load laundry detergent and store brand garbage bags at Shoppers, and on-sale bulk pads x2 (saving $1 per package) at London Drugs (just missing the 407) before hauling the heavy stuff home at 2:50 on a 401, having to get off one stop earlier because of the road closures and construction! Gotta remind white Eric about that soon... I also found a random Bench / Body men's underwear in her dried laundry. o_O

I went out to the nearby medical clinic to get removal for hearing at 1:30 today, and still had to wait almost an hour, getting home at 2:25! At least now I can hear better!
