It's St. Patrick's Day 2020 today! I went out at 1:50 to get 1.14 litres of regular Bailey's from the liquor store, 3 pounds of Parkay margarine / 300 Mead index cards / Cinnamint, Fresh Mint, and Spearmint Mentos gum x3 / NEW limited-edition Olympic Dairy raspberry-cranberry yogurt from Price Smart, and six more on-sale Angel Oak oversized towels / Arm and Hammer laundry detergent for 50 loads from London Drugs with my handy shopping cart. Got home at 3:30 thanks to a 407 bus driver who waited for me to get on the bus. Went out again at 5 to get an on-sale Strata 65L (65-litre) clear blue plastic tote / storage box from London Drugs - I can't fit it in the shopping cart, man! Since I was there anyway, I got two on-sale bags of Old Dutch corn chips (original / BBQ) and an on-sale jar of Lindt DARK chocolate spread.

Got home at 6 on a 407 to do even more laundry! Somebody stopped my dryer load so they could put theirs in. I put bleach in their load when I discovered this. YOU PISSED OFF THE FIRE DRAGON! How selfish of you! I FINALLY finished my laundry at 9:30! JESUS CHRIST!

After FINALLY finding my Press-It-Seal-It envelopes in a Snapware container and then putting them in the index cards bag, I went to the pharmacy next door at 2 to get some new Tylenol Extra Strength Complete Cold, Cough, and Flu - my existing box expired last month (September 2019), but it was the only thing I had last night, and it seemed to be okay to take when I looked it up online. Shouldn't have lost too much potency! They had a new trainee there, but Adam helped us both - just a packaging change, but the same drug ID number. Then I went to H&M to get a new red sweatshirt for $33 (damn toothpaste stains!), which was fine. I saw ANGEL CHEN sweatshirts for $40, but that was because they had DRAGON STITCHING on the sleeve!

Then I bused to London Drugs (one stop - but I needed the rest) to get on-sale pads x2 / NEW Live Clean foaming hand soap x3 (White Tea Cherry / Vanilla Bean Coconut / Lemon Mint), NEW $2 Weinrich's Porta chocolate bars x4 for Jon's birthday (Peppermint / Raspberry / Blueberry / Strawberry) / Dare Breton Veggie Bites (bite-sized crackers for Beckett!) for Thanksgiving dinner / Kortari kitchen scissors for the desk. Got home at 4:25 on a 407, whereupon I cancelled my appointment with Rishu because I still need to rest.

Sunset BEACH barbecue, strange messages, Vancouver chart, thinking before I act

After DOUBLE COFFEE TIME, I left at 1:05 on a 407 for a sober BBQ, bringing along my Ziploc bag of utensils and a couple bags of regular chips. I also stopped by Shoppers at Richmond Centre to buy 100 No Name garbage bags for almost $20 because the Western Family ones under my sink were getting nasty! I shouldn't store anything under there now! YES, I wiped that area!

Good thing I had Luke's number because I thought it was at Sunset PARK (much closer!) instead of Sunset BEACH all the way downtown! ("Why go all the way down there?!" was what I texted Luke at the community centre... he laughed and later said that he liked me and my honesty) I texted Eric Ho and messaged Corey and Mike out of frustration as well, but eventually managed to make it there at about 4 by taking the 49 UBC to Langara Station, then to Yaletown-Roundhouse, then the 23 Beach shuttle bus across the street to Pacific / Jervis (right after Bute), where Luke eventually met me after I accidentally texted him from the bike path. Oops! I stepped off the path after that.

I met a few people like Luke (who's the real MVP), TJ, Anant, Cami, and Faith / Violet. YES, VIOLET AND I ARE THE SAME HEIGHT! We discussed bearded dragons, geckos, hiking, hummus, baby carrots, Beyond Meat sausages, Veggie Crisps chips, BBQ sauce, ketchup, future hangouts, canoeing, renting problems, work, cannabis, my Miss Vickie's "fancy" Signatures Hickory Salted chips AND Ziploc bag full of utensils (Faith thought I'd just meant a fork or something!), Josephine, Tony and Michelle NOT being mods anymore (thank CHRIST!), and other things. We left at 6, and I determined that Term wasn't going home, but to the airport instead to pick up his brother. Going uphill with all my bulky heavy crap was JUST about doable... Finally got home at 7:10 thanks to the 407 cooperating and being later at Brighouse than the posted schedule, and I definitely had to have some whiskey!

Edit: I found out that Paul texted me at 7:45 to thank me for something, so I was wondering what was up with that. Turns out he wanted to thank me for today's beach hangout, which I was not involved in organizing at ALL. Strange... no wonder he needs his own space!

I took a shower, did some laundry, and had COFFEE TIME before Eric Ho texted me to cancel the BC Lions-Edmonton Eskimos hangout since he had to to stay at work till 7:30 or so. (he COULD say no, but maybe not!) "Are you coming? Yes or no." "Yeah, I have to stay a bit later, so text you later since I have to take a raincheck on the hangout." Fine, I'll just use my $10 off coupon by myself with no heavy things! I went to London Drugs first at 3:10 to get four DEFINITE big reusable bags (I only had four small ones?!), a dark green MARTEX bath towel, a shopping cart with a cooler bag ($54.99 to $24.99 SALE!), and two more London Naturals foam scour sponges.

Luckily, I was able to sort of tuck the cart under my arm and then waited for the bus home - got there at 4:05 on a 401. Later, I went to Price Smart with my $10 coupon at 5:35 on a 401. THE 2019-2020 NHL SCHEDULE IS OUT TODAY! I came across a problem with my HP Laserjet 1020 printer today while printing out the Canucks schedule and generating more "origami paper" for Hiero. It said there was a paper jam, but it had been printing things out just fine a few seconds beforehand! After Googling it and attempting to fix it myself via a Youtube video, I texted white Eric about the issue after a phone call got no answer. (which is totally fine)

Left my phone on and he called me at 7:05 to figure out the problem more in depth, so I showered immediately afterwards. He came by at 7:40 to figure out the bigass cartridge, and show me what to do. Turns out I have to tilt the mustache on it at a certain downwards angle, which I attempted myself. He left five minutes later - then Jon emailed a bunch of us about Randal's upcoming birthday: Lion's Den at Fraser and Kingsway, then maybe 12 Kings or Bells and Whistles (17th and Kingsway) for drinks afterwards. Randal wants me there? Okay, then... nice!

Andre Stelter added me to Facebook - hey, he is a Canucks fan, so why not? I finally got back home at 3:35 on a 407 (going out at 2:10 on a 401) after buying two blue replacement $20 Snapware 35.2L storage containers for my "useless" Sterilite Corp / Sterilite Corporation latched 26L containers x2 / a "useless" Rubbermaid latched 28.4 L container from the nearby London Drugs. One of the lids is dirty, so I disinfected it when I got home. Yay for stepladders and helpful employees when I could find them at the store!

Then I decided to go out AGAIN at 4:45 on a 401 to the Ironwood London Drugs, even with reduced Sunday bus schedules. I went to Shoppers at Richmond Centre first to buy Uncle Ben's Rice x2 (Long Grain and Wild Fine Herbs / Wholegrain and Wild Garden Herb) for November appointment planning. However, I also had to go back across the street to Shoppers Drug Mart from Brighouse Station because the employee there had failed to give my Shoppers Optimum card back to me after I paid for my rice, which did NOT help!

When I finally got the next 408 Ironwood at 5:30, I discovered that a Z-Grip pen had somehow FALLEN APART in my small reusable bag - WTF? Another one was unretracted, so I had to get rid of all that detritus on the bus. At least I finally got my third and final two blue replacement $20 Snapware 35.2L storage container at London Drugs, plus a Purell hand sanitizer because I didn't have one in my small reusable bag for some reason. The expiry date is in March 2021, so it's fine to just chill in there for two and a half years! I FINALLY got home at 6:50 on a 401 when it was getting dark, since I had no patience to wait for the 407.

Thanks to a 407 which waited for me, I was home at 4 instead of a later time. After sending me a message earlier, Andrew M. called at 5:50 to wonder whether this weekend would be a good time for the new computer, and warned me that I'd be without the machine from sometime on Friday to sometime on Sunday. Discussed Cultus Lake, $40 cash money, going to the States for cheaper gas every couple of weeks, birthdays, having a life, seeing his girls, and more. This weekend should definitely be fine, I told him.

Went out to Shoppers Drug Mart on a 407 at 11:30 to get a shrimp tempura roll for International Sushi Day tomorrow, and on-sale Jack Link's sriracha beef jerky for the London Drugs price. Then I went to London Drugs itself and bought a replacement blue 68L Rubbermaid storage box for the old mouse turd-filled one, NEW Trophy Foods peanuts x3 (Sea Salt and Cracked Black Pepper / Lime and Chili / Jalapeno), Scotch bubble wrap, on-sale Bounty paper towels, mini-packs of Kleenex x3, and on-sale Scotties Kleenex boxes x12. GREEN TEA TIME! I noted that Chinese Eric had called me last night while I was trying to decide about Jimmy (not worth it - I also talked to Helen Y. about things), so I called him back this morning. Auntie answered the phone and we exchanged Chinese New Year greetings once I told her who I was. Then he called me on his lunch break in the afternoon at 1:10; thank goodness I caught it at 1:45! All the snow from last night has melted (yay!), and he asked whether I'd like him to use a Domino's Pizza coupon - of course! We're Asian, after all!

He ended up not coming over (which I figured by 7:35), so I stashed some stuff away for later since I don't want it in my face: I have SOME dignity, after all! It also surprised me that Teunis added me to Facebook again, since I was totally fine with his not following me online last June, and understood why without his having to explicitly say so. We'll probably just be Facebook acquaintances, which I am totally okay with. The Canucks played the Panthers at 7 tonight, and lost 4-3. YOU CAN'T GIVE UP FOUR GOALS IN THE FIRST PERIOD!

She dropped by about an hour earlier than I was expecting, at 12:35 or so. Meh, at least I got a nice jacket out of the deal?

These green tea biscuits say, "TEA IS A GATEWAY DRUG TO BISCUITS" and "KEEP CALM AND EAT BISCUITS." Hilarious! I ate all the bakery biscuits in one sitting, too.

Then I hit up Price Smart for some Western Family store brand LIMITED EDITION pumpkin pie ice cream before going to London Drugs for a humorous Hanukkah card for Lena since they had one, Frosty the Snowman Advent calendars x9 since those were also at the store (me / Eric H. / Chrystal / Jon / Harmony / Ayler / Hiero / Steph / Lisa), and on-sale Cottonelle toilet paper since today was the last day of the sale. I got home at 8:15 on a 407, which isn't bad at all.

Then I went to Price Smart for some satay squid tentacles (which I ate before going out again) and some hot and spicy pork stomach for World Tripe Day tomorrow. My last stop was London Drugs for some on-sale ScAero / Coffin Crisp / Ghostly Kit-Kats / Scaries for Chrystal (but the ScAero bar was BROKEN?! - I had to buy another one later!), 200 index cards, and Purell hand sanitizer x4. I finally got home at 1:10 on a 407.

Hester's husband Ni came by at 2:45 to check out my bathtub drain, but (of course) declared nothing to be wrong. I don't even know what's going on! Then he slipped a mousetrap through my mailslot at 2:50 because I'd requested one or two. Then I went out again at 5, just managing to get the 407. I went to Price Smart again, where they actually had beef tripe this time! At the checkout, I saw some NEW limited-edition gingerbread Lindt truffles, so of course I had to get those for myself. Then I went to London Drugs again, where I bit off slightly more than I could chew: a 12L Snapware storage box, a TouchTop garbage can with a lid for my bathroom (which didn't FIT in the SPACE - so I had to ANGLE it and hope for the best), a new Ragusa Noir chocolate bar, a new set of on-sale scary Halloween candy plus one new unbroken ScAero bar, and a new GIBSON owl coffee mug (with easily-peeled sticker at the bottom) for my bathroom. I finally got home at 6, and I don't want to leave again till Wednesday around noon when I have to! But I peed my pants AGAIN, so I'm going to have to do laundry with lots of white vinegar!

Anders Bjork is a Bruins player?! That just makes me think of Björk the singer!

How Frank Are You? / Paper in a storage tub!

I got up at 8 AM after going to bed at 1:50 AM, so it was COFFEE TIME BY DEFAULT! Then I discovered something questionable by my reams of Staples paper, so I transferred those into an empty plastic storage tub. Thank goodness it fit, although I probably should have done that a while ago!

I showered and did laundry today. The repairman came by at 1:40 to install a new stove fan switch, and confirmed that the stove pans were too icky to be cleaned normally. I guess I will have to replace them! I saw Hester by the elevator and after being invited into the outdoor storage room (which is indeed full of junk, including London Drugs shopping carts), she gave me one which is too small, then eventually took back a newer bigger one because my stove pan wasn't broken. The newer one was shinier on the inside AND outside, but she said it was rusty and kind of bent. She thanked me for understanding, and gave me a tip when I asked: that she'd bought them at the Richmond Public Market at a haircut shop (?!) on the second floor. Okay then, I guess I'm going there at some point since I don't exactly trust Easy-Off with that stove pan! (but I might buy it just in case) Not going today, though - that was way too much cheery social interaction for me as an introvert!
