Since I was up at 8 AM today, it was COFFEE TIME BY DEFAULT! I went out at 10:25 on a 407 and was finally able to make it to the Dollar Tree and Big Crazy today on a 403 from Brighouse before it got TOO hot outside! I got a can of Success mushroom pieces, Knorr mashed potatoes in chicken gravy, and Knorr mashed potatoes in beef gravy. (I had to check if I could microwave them first, of course!) I'm thankful to have the option again to purchase frozen food again: pork and tri-treasure x2 / lamb and onion / pork and chives JOY DUMPLINGS from Big Crazy! Inspired by CuyaDK, I also got some Samyang 2x Spicy Hot Chicken Flavor Ramen x4 at Big Crazy, plus Knorr hot and sour soup mix x3 since I was there anyway. I got home at 11:35 on a 407 from London Drugs, which is good. I think I'll wait on ice cream, since I don't care much for the prices or sizes for Häagen-Dazs at London Drugs right now. Of course, I might also change my mind on that, haha.

From Not Always Right: Desiray Poitras?! That should be spelled DESIREE!

From Not Always Right: Oshai Karen Brown?!

From Not Always Right: Rebecca Barker Sprang?! Like the past tense of "to spring up"?

From Not Always Right: Krystina Casimir?! I like the last name, although the first name would be better spelled as CHRISTINA.

Chrystal gave me a surprise phone call at 8:35, saying that she knew we were supposed to meet up tomorrow, but work has been absolutely crazy since a supervisor resigned. Luckily for Chrystal, she's not the new supervisor! We finally figured out a new date to meet up: Friday, June 9 at the usual place, which is the London Drugs across the street from Broadway Station. Then we just caught up by phone: her nephew Ethan likes learning about numbers and clocks, and would love musical toy mats! We talked about Ayler turning five tomorrow, Steph being in town recently, Emily and Mike finally completing their move (and selling a lot of furniture online), Father's Day being around June 16 (June 18), and my dropping by to see Ayler tomorrow afternoon. She thanked me for being so flexible, and said that I was her mental health break, haha. Cool, I guess!

Kelli Rose on Not Always Right on May 17, 2017: "In our house, my son is a panromantic bisexual polyamorous trans boy, my daughter is a panromantic polyamorous asexual, my spouse is bi, and I'm polysexual, but we appear heteronormative because we're cis. We've had places be very accepting, and places be not at all accepting. It's like sometimes only the LG part of LGBT+ counts." So basically at her house, everyone has sex with everyone else and all their visitors. Okay, then!

After I had COFFEE TIME and called London Drugs customer service to find out when their current sale ends on Rubbermaid dish drainers (May 28), Barry picked me up at 12:45 and we went banking and to Price Smart. I bought on-sale Classico pasta sauce x2 (Four Cheese and Tomato / Pesto), noodles, a shower pouf, Teriyaki Rice / Noodles Sidekicks, preserved vegetables, on-sale Cheemo perogies x2 (Country Mushroom and Potato / Bacon / Romano Cheese), pork and tri-treasure / lamb and onion / pork and vegetable / pork and chives JOY dumplings at the Big Crazy price (which saves me a trip out there if it's the same price), on-sale store brand paper towels, and JML chicken and mushroom noodles. I also got on-sale Western Family French Vanilla ice cream, NEW Pillsbury poutine Pizza Pops in a special edition (I love the alliteration!), NEW Pillsbury cheese pizza bites, NEW Pillsbury pepperoni pizza bites, Juzz Mee curry noodles, a BC roll for $3.99 (better than the 22-piece $10.99 assorted rolls if the expiry date is still tomorrow, May 25), Vedan noodles x2 (Spicy Mushroom / Cuttlefish and Mushroom), and on-sale Ruffles chips x3. (Loaded Potato Skins / Sour Cream and Bacon / All-Dressed) I also saw preserved Cordia seeds while I was in the Chinese jars aisle, so made a note of that to tell Citrus so he can tell his sister.

While I was at the store, I helped a random white guy with some Nissin black garlic oil noodles, and told an old grandma that her shawl looked pretty. (it had Japanese women with fans on it!) She at least thanked me! When I got home at 2:10, Barry did agree to help me with changing the batteries on the phone in my bedroom, which is good. Afterwards, I paid my Shaw bill online today, then somehow unplugged my computer speakers while trying to figure some stuff out! My cashier recognized me, and so we chatted a bit - his name is Ray, and he has a white half-beard thing. I left again at 6:30 to London Drugs, where I got a new on-sale dish drainer (April 11, 2015) on Aisle 1 / on-sale purple GUM Comfort Slide flossers since today was the last day of their being on sale currently / an on-sale Slinky toy plus an on-sale Redbox pre-historic dinosaur toy set with trees (#24359) for Ayler's birthday.

I got a much more helpful computer associate this time (yesterday's associate had told me to go to the front for checkout and didn't seem interested in customer service), who sold me a black Microsoft Wired 600 keyboard for $20. Thank goodness it worked when I got home at 8:30 (just missing a 407 and having to wait for the next one), after a mini heart attack when it initially wouldn't work to put in my password at startup! This one is quieter and much lighter, too! Time to email Harmony to see when a good time would be to drop off the gifts, or see Ayler too, I guess. NOW MY MOUSE AND KEYBOARD ARE FREE OF MIKE AND HIS TAINT!

From the Staples Canada Facebook wall: a six-pack of Cross fountain pen ink cartridge refills and a five-pack of Parker Quink ink cartridge refills with fountain permanent ink are $999,999.99 each?!

Pasta sauce and toys and chips, oh my! )

Jason's birthday is April 1. After COFFEE TIME, I went out at 5 to meet Vanessa and Jason at Joyce Station by 6:30, I brought the peanut butter / peppermint Whittakers chocolate bars, the carrot cake Hershey's Kisses, and the birthday cards! I just managed to get the 407, just missed a Canada Line train, and just missed a 41 Joyce bus! Oh, the humanity! Vanessa and her work friend Elizabeth were still waiting for me, while Jason was parked down the road a bit. When Vanessa gave me the Bath and Body Works White Citrus foaming hand soap, Bath and Body Works Peach Bellini foaming hand soap, and Bath and Body Works Fresh Market Apple foaming hand soap, I gave her all the chocolate and stuff before I forgot. She said that she might be able to get me a ride to Richmond with her friends Wayne and Shelina, which was fine by me. I also met her friends Elizabeth, Chad (who's a smoker), and Jen. We talked about work, the hour-long lineup to get into Anton's, Wayne and Shelina (who are FWB) being extremely late (WE DON'T WANT TO KNOW ABOUT A VIAGRA / CIALIS MOMENT, JASON!), beer, picture frames, newspaper routes, Shelina's clingy ten-year-old son, my aspirin, Jason's back pain, Elizabeth being a registered Shiatsu massage therapist, gay Patrick, going downtown, my spicy Fusilli New Orleans pasta with shrimp / scallops / chicken / Italian sausage, Jen living near Boundary, Shelina somehow spelling "Hastings" with an M, Shelina being Native and being from Victoria (but her parents now live on a reserve near Agassiz), emulators, MAME and arcade games, directions, tiramisu cake, and Easter weekend plans. It was a good time out, but now I'm ready to relax!

I showered and did laundry today. The repairman came by at 1:40 to install a new stove fan switch, and confirmed that the stove pans were too icky to be cleaned normally. I guess I will have to replace them! I saw Hester by the elevator and after being invited into the outdoor storage room (which is indeed full of junk, including London Drugs shopping carts), she gave me one which is too small, then eventually took back a newer bigger one because my stove pan wasn't broken. The newer one was shinier on the inside AND outside, but she said it was rusty and kind of bent. She thanked me for understanding, and gave me a tip when I asked: that she'd bought them at the Richmond Public Market at a haircut shop (?!) on the second floor. Okay then, I guess I'm going there at some point since I don't exactly trust Easy-Off with that stove pan! (but I might buy it just in case) Not going today, though - that was way too much cheery social interaction for me as an introvert!

Sherry Norris wanted to add me to Facebook from the Puckheads - okay, then! Experienced the "whoosh-whoosh" in my ears again, too! Talked to Vanessa briefly on MSN when she asked about something... yeah, that's still going on. I was going to go out for a short while to visit Grandma and feed her some dinner... I unexpectedly saw my parents there, so they wanted to take me out for dinner AFTER we helped Harmony with the baby. At least I did feed Grandma some congee and her actual dinner of meat / veggies / mashed potatoes, and she thanked me for it mid-feed! She wanted to feed herself some dessert, so I let her do that while keeping an eye on her.

Of course, she asked me whether I wanted some food! As usual, I said no. Mom gave me some shoes and a bunch of mostly-old snacks from Grandma's room (Bugles / Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa medicine with an expiry date of 2002?! / shredded pork / cream wafers / shrimp crackers / Chinese egg rolls / strawberry jam) before we left to see the baby. She also let me invite Chinese Eric to Thanksgiving Dinner - I didn't tell her that I already had invited him during Monday's marathon phone call - and wondered if he'd like to help with Grandma, hahaha! I threw most of the stuff out except the Bugles, which were still good / non-aired out. Later, I got to hold the baby (who smiled and grabbed my finger) for a while before he got fussy - he wanted to look out the window, of course. He also apparently enjoyed bathtime, and HATED being taken out of the water since he cried A LOT! It was cold even inside, for sure.

Harmony says they got back from Portland today, and got really good at eating really fast since the baby had meltdowns every time they wanted to have dinner! The parents and I went to a Vietnamese place to have dinner - it used to be Sun Wong Kee, and I remember it well. After pork / chicken / lamb / shrimp / noodles, we went to see if Mom could find Neo-Citran at London Drugs since she was sick; luckily, she could! (Nicole couldn't last night!) I finally got home at 8:35 or so, to a rather perfidious email from Randal about how my tagging him resulted in "trivial" emails, and how it wouldn't matter if I unfriended him. FINE THEN, I'LL GRANT YOUR WISH! NO MORE HEALING FOR YOU! If you want to be unfriended that badly because you can't stand the emails you get when I tag you in pictures and other people comment on them, FINE! I will grant you your wish, you perfidious fucking asshole. At least others were nicer about it!
